    I started 5:2 in June and saw some really good results. Life got in the way and I let things slide and pretty quickly found myself with the weight back on. I have about a stone I’d like to lose. So I’ve decided to get back tomorrow again. I’m going to listen to the audiobook again tonight to motivate myself. I have eaten light today but not fasting as such.

    Tomorrow is a new beginning. I’d love for you to join me! All advice and tips are welcome!

    Good luck GG – this time, make it ‘life-proof’! I find it’s the non-Fast-Days that really trip me up. so I’ve gone back to logging everything in My Fitness Pal. Tedious, but it works.
    Hope you get back into the swing of it quickly and easily.

    Thanks And…Exhale! The first fast day went really well. I just stuck to black coffee and water for the day in work and kept my 500 calories for dinner. I didn’t really notice being hungry but I’m putting this down to being so busy in work for the day!

    I really hope I can stick to this plan this time, I really need to drop few pounds. I’m not hugely overweight but just at that stage where I have a bit to lose and if I keep going the way I was going I will be in a bad way in another few months.

    Hi Galway girl!

    I am the same as you! I have done 5-2 a few times and had good results. I ideally really only have about 7 to 10 pounds to lose so it seems to go up and down a lot. It’s hard for me to fast during the day as my work environment is so social. I can skip breakfast but it’s the lunch that’s hard for me. Help! I need support! 🙂 it’s also the off days that I struggle with. I go overboard and undo my fast days.

    I am exactly the same, was doing really well for 2 months and then we moved house and all went out of the window. Just came back from seeing a holistic doctor as I have been feeling sick the past few days, and think I had a Crohn’s disease relapse. Pretty awful – she gave me a long list of things I couldn’t eat to fix my stomach. I think for me the fasting really helped my Crohn’s – I can’t believe slipping off the wagon for a few weeks has damaged my guts. We eat pretty healthy most of the time at home, so not sure what caused it.

    Fasting today and feel so bloated…..will stick too it as it did help my Crohns! Good luck everyone.

    Hi all, I am similarly wanting to lose 15lbs. Second time on the diet too. Having trouble getting going at this time of year as it is cold up here in the Great White North and I am driven to eat heavier comfort foods to stay warm. My greens are wil
    ting in the fridge as the the thought of eating a salad is not at all appealing. I want to lose 3kgs by Xmas so I can have an eggnog or 2 and not feel my pants are bursting!

    Hi Everyone! How are we all doing? My first fast week went well as far as the fast days go, I did have a “few” drinks over the weekend so I am hoping this did not undo all my good work. Decided not to weigh myself as I would only be put off if I did not make a good loss on my first week back following the program.

    I’m now on week 2, Fast day 1. I was doing OK until about lunch time but then we got sent in a table full of goodies from companies we do work for. Apparently this will be every day from now until Christmas (*groans*). So Desperate but Driven I feel your pain as far as the social aspect of work goes!

    Ali that sounds awful, I know a guy who suffers from Crohns Disease like you and there seems to be so many restrictions on him. On the up side at least you know you had things really under control before while following 5-2. Its just a matter of getting back in to it. I know its a tough time of year and especially since you have had to move and everything!

    I leave Canada on the 16th of December and I’ll be back in Ireland for the Holidays on the 17th so I would really love to be just a couple of pounds lighter and less bloated. I ordered some of my favourite herbal teas online and I’m just waiting for them to arrive now. I find sticking to water, black coffee and 0 cal herbal and green teas during my fast day and saving my cals for a generous dinner really works for me. Everyone is different but the days I have something for breakfast or lunch I find I am most likely to pack it all in and say “I’ll try again tomorrow instead”.

    So I hope everyone is doing well with their losses, I’m feeling a lot more motivated to lose this week. We can do it!!!

    Hi Kim,Bikini,Desperate, how are you all doing? I was down 3lbs after my second fast day on Friday but today back up 2 lbs. ArrRrgh! Nevertheless will keep on the thin and narrow. This is a hard time of year with work clients bringing in chocolates and goodies. I try to send them out of sight to another staff members office asap.

    I spent a good bit of time today comparing Timmy’s sour cream glazed donuts to various other yummy snacks. I decided to bake an apple with cinnamon to save 300 Cal and 100 times the fat!!!!

    it’s so hard! all I have eaten today is coffee with cream (because it is impossible for me to go black and it still worked last time. I also had tons of vegetable bouillion which is 5 calories abut has tons of sodium and really works to subdue hunger! I also had 2 cinnamon sucking candies. I am desperate to hold off until tonight but wow…not sure why it’s so much tougher now! I just have to think about 2 weeks until the holiday! and I want to feel good on the beach! hoping for just 4 or 5 pounds if possible! also planning on not eating bread/pasta/rice carbs until the holidays…Can I last just until Christmas eve…but I will allow myself to have wine and no carbs at the holiday party…I hope!!!!
