  • hi everyone

    I need a little help I think.

I started the fast last week and did two fast days but didn’t really watch my cal intake on the non fast days which I think has resulted in me gaining a couple of lbs 🙁
im starting again today as fresh ive read everything I can find and have asked tons of questions so from today I am going to

eat my tdee of 2037 on non fast days and 500 on fast days
my weigh in day should be after my second fast day

is this right I only have 16lbs to lose now lol was 14 lol

any advice would be amazing I really want this to work for me

    thank you xxx

Use your TDEE as an ABSOLUTE maximum on your non-fastdays. You don’t need to be really strict about your calorie counting but you should know for an absolute fact that on your non-fastdays you are eating somewhere between your BMR and your TDEE and absolutely no more.

Don’t weigh & measure every little morsel just so you can eat right up to your TDEE is what I’m saying. Your TDEE may not be 100% accurate so you should be prepared to reduce it down a bit if you’re not losing at that level. So if you can get comfortable with eating ‘roughly’ between BMR & TDEE but definitely no more than TDEE you should be good longterm and find it no hardship.

    Thank you xx

I have found that what Tracey says about not exceeding your TDEE on non fast days is what you should be aiming for and you will lose weight. I have been on this diet for a few months and am finding that I can eat less than my tdee just because I am now used to eating less. I still have the odd bad weekend when I totally exceed my calorie level but just get back to fasting and it comes off really quickly. just experiment a bit but don’t give up, its well worth giving it a good try.
