Need motivation

  • Just about to start my 5 nonfast and 2 fast . Tomorrow, my first fast day.

    Motivation is expensive.

    It requires time & lots of patience.

    Usually in short supply.

    You can do it, and it really does get easier after a couple or 3 weeks. Make sure you have plenty of water (or herbal tea) to get you through the worst of any hunger. And have some distractions so you’re busy & not thinking about it.

    Hi Betinhas411 how did your first first day go???? I found the first 2-3 fast days are the hardest but believe me they do get easier. I’ve been on the 5:2 for 4 weeks now so I’ve done 8 fast days, my last one was yesterday and to be honest I didn’t really feel hungry 🙂 I have lost 10lb so far (only 14lb to go!!) and on my non fast days I’ve had the odd treat i.e wine, curry, the odd biscuit. I’ve done weighwatchers before (at home, bought the books from eBay) and whilst I did lose weight I found it very tedious counting points and I was hungrier on that diet than I ever have been on the 5:2. Oh I’ve also lost an inch from my waist 😀 Good luck x
