    Just had a big filling bowl of I call it green soup, leek celery and spinach with a dollop of Greek yog, I am full up, lovely. Having cashew stir fry tonight, and a glass of wine, but I think I may have already mentioned that :). 🙂 Goosey x

    I only usually weigh once a week sometimes fortnightly. Trying to reduce my waist and tummy size as I can get in size 12 jeans but they don’t look very nice with a belly hanging over the top. I must try some more soups as I have a soup maker but I’m not very adventurous. Naughty quiche with a healthy salad this evening. Busy cleaning kitchen cupboards on a beautiful day like this 🙁

    Goosey can I ask, is there much fluctuation on your weight during the week??

    Also, back from buying cauliflower, no cauliflowers anywhere. It’s out of season now and so is broccoli. Will the recipe you gave me work with frozen cauli??.

    I don’t see why not Emma, particularly the mash, I don’t know if it would roast very well though.
    My weight doesn’t fluctuate due to hormones any more I don’t think I have any. It alters 11/2 lb from day to night. After a FD I am my lightest about 1-2 lb lighter in the morning, that’s Thurs morning. I then work at trying to keep some of it off until Monday.

    Well done Michelle, you must be delighted. Not on the naughty step now.

    I just had a quick jump on the scales (weigh in day tomorrow) and up 1/2lb. That’s a full lb in the last 2 weeks. Will weigh myself again tomorrow in hope that I the scales sat something better. Although I am not surprised considering the amount of gin I drank and rubbish I had eaten last weekend. Thankfully no girlie nights out the next few weeks. On a positive note, this weight gain will hopefully keep me well under cals both fast and non fast days.

    Gin has not been kind to us. Very disappointed as gin and I have been good friends for many years. Think I am best staying clear for a few weeks or maybe just being in gin’s company for a couple of hours rather than a marathon session. Let us try and get of the naughty step next week. Although you haven’t been there for a while unlike myself.

    Lazy, I gained 3lb, lost 3lb, lost 1lb then gained 2lb. So been around the same for well over a month now.I have the naughty step imprinted on my arse now.

    Elc, you made me laugh out loud. Lets be extra good over the next week. Although I say that every week.

    Yes let’s be good I say with a gin and tonic in one hand and a bag of crisps in the other.
    But on a serious note 1lb Off by next week for both of us, challenge set. Looser buys the gin.

    Emma ,Lazy…….Weakness?? Where do I start. If I drink I like desperadoes corona or fruit ciders. Which I’m sure are more calorific than gin. I’m addicted to coca cola and can’t stand anything with artificial sweeteners. I love fresh cream cakes crisps and chocolate and have recently got a taste for cheese and biscuits. Had half a fresh cream muffin tonight and a can of coke ….heaven!! It’s the reason I do the fast diet as I can’t live with the thought of being on a diet everyday. I’m hoping I don’t have to sit on the naughty step next week. Emma I’m sure you’re due a loss next week lol

    Your post are great, keeping me smilling … also spotted the comment on droopy boobs…hillarious that has def happened to me, mine are much smaller now as I have dropped from 11st9 in January to 10st4 (as of yesterday) and most of that was in the first 3 months I would love to get to 9.5 ish but not sure if my love of wine socializing and the good life will ever allow it.

    Quite like my fast days if I am working but its really hard work when i have the kids as they always need feeding!

    Another 1lb off so I am now pre holiday weight, really pleased 🙂 I just love this way of life, I thought it would be tougher than any other method I’ve tried but its actually so much easier.I just hope this weekend’s drinks don’t spoil it. Must learn more self control!

    Izzy- I feel for you, when I cook I am the worlds worst nibbler, I look after my grandson 3 day a week, and often find myself thinking – why does my mouth taste of fish finger or beans or sweet corn? I just pop it in there without even noticing eating it! Then sorry girls, whilst clearing away, table to bin, ooh, what a shame to put the lovely crispy bits in the bin, I am seriously thinking of buying some kind of mouth guard to put in while I’m in the kitchen.

    I am going to try and attach a blog thingy to this post, may or may not work, I’m not great with these things, I picked it up on a different thread and have been working my way through it.     I am 5’10 and I am not sure if my scales are accurate but it says I am 11 stone. However my measurements say I am a UK size 16. I would love to drop to a 12.

    Wine for me is the killer. On my fast days I am planning on eating strictly vegetarian meals, drink only water and green tea.

    As long as you plan you’ll be fine. You do get a lot more food for your calories if you eat vegetarian.
    Eleven stone doesn’t sound too heavy for you’re height, so not much for you to lose either, we all seem to be on our last few pounds here.

    Hi Katie pop into your local chemist for an accurate weigh in. Even though at your height 11 stone doesn’t seem excessive.
    Well done Emma B it’s great when you achieve what you want as it keeps the incentive going I find.
    Goosey pour something you don’t like on the leftovers (not Gin obviously ) 😉 maybe ketchup …vinegar then you won’t be tempted to nibble.

    Am planning to suqeeze in another fast day and a couple of 1000cals days over the next week. Surely to God if I manage to stick to that I will lose something!! Quite weekend so that should help. However, I had spoken too soon as another girlie day has been arranged in a couple of weeks time. Lunch and few drinks. Note to self to go home after lunch and not sit guzzling gin until I am falling down or shutting time. Very greedy girl for gin!!

    Lazy, another fast day and a couple of 1000cal days next week!!!. That’s a bit much for me!!.

    Think I ended yesterday at about 1500cals, so under tdee but not the 1000 I was aiming for.

    I really think I need to do 4.3 to get rid of these last few pounds, but I don’t want to.

    I’ll see how I feel on Tuesday and maybe do Monday Tuesday and Wednesday.

    Hi Elc, I know it is very ambitious considering I struggle to stay under my TDEE on non fast days. Yesterday managed to stay under 1000 cals and today if all goes well will just be under TDEE. Really need to try this week as if I lose and I am paying for our gin then I have visions of having to re-morgage to pay the bar bill.

    Hi, was slightly over TDEE yesterday, but not going to give myself a hard time as it was Saturday. Got a really busy day in the house so that should stop me munching. Going to have a veg stir fry tonight and plan to make spinach and chickpea curry. Hope to be 1000 cals or under today. Feel more motivated, must have been weeks on the naughty step that motivated me.

    Well ladies, so far so good today. Had veg stir fry and slim noodles for dinner (big bowl), a decent lunch and nibbles. Still just over 300 cals left before I hit my TDEE. Surely if I continue to maintain this I will have lost weight by Friday. Must say that not drinking my weight in gin has helped to stay within my calorie allowance.

    How has everyone else been?

    Looking forward to start my first fast day tomorrow. I have everything planned. I can eat a small can of tomato soup for lunch and then I got a huge amount of spinach (cooked) with pine nuts and garlic to eat for my dinner. (Luckily I love spinach and it’s so low in calories!)

    Only drinking water and green tea as well.

    Planning on having a veggie stir fry on Wednesday. Having an all veggie fast days really help. I get to eat much more quantity and still be in the calorie mark.

    Katie, you’ll be fine with all that planning, keep in touch tomorrow.

    Lazy, I think you may be in the lead, I’ve been out for lunch and had 4 gin and tonics!.

    My weigh day today and have put on 2 lb, went right off the rails this weekend.

    I’ve just made a quorn cottage pie with cauliflower mash, to have later, it’s a massive thing, will do about 4 portions only 450cals for the lot!!.

    Thanks lazy for the quorn advise, and thanks goosey for the cauliflower mash idea, it really does look like mash and tastes really nice.

    Just had my lunch!

    Tomato soup with a spattering of pumpkin seeds on top. Total cal 226.

    The soup was 165 and 10g of pumpkin seeds was 61.

    For my dinner tonight I got a mountain of spinach, with garlic and more pumpkin seeds.

    I weighed my self this morning and if the scales are accurate I gained two stone! LMAO! I don’t think they are accurate, (chemists does not have scales) so I will be going off my body measurements.

    My waist is 33 inches. Hips are 43 inches. Thighs are 24 inches. My arms are 12 inches.

    Feeling really good and going all out veggie for the fast days is really good. I can eat so much more.

    Hi Katie, I have a feeling you might be right about your scales not being accurate, 2 stone in a few days would be very scary, get on them again, maybe you’ve lost 3 stone this time.

    Measuring is a great idea, I also do it, but I couldn’t be without my scales.

    I’m a vegetarian today as well.

    I’m only working for 2 hours today, so need to find something to occupy my mind later.

    So Friday Chinese takeaway
    Saturday Cornish pasty and a bbq with loads of alcohol and scone with clotted cream
    Sunday fish and chips :/ that’s me on the naughty step I think
    Not eaten today just lots of water, been on the cross trainer for 20 mins and will have omelette for dinner or maybe a M&S count on us ready meal.

    Katie, I love the sound of you spinach. Would totally bin those scales! Not want you want to see when you jump on them, 2lbs is bed enough but 2 stones is a bloody nightmare.

    Michelle the thought of your scone is making my mouth water.

    After being really good yesterday and bumming about being under my TDEE, I blew it with gin and crisps. Today only had fluids, dinner mushrooms, slim pasta and tomato and chilli sauce 95cals. Going to try and be under 400 cals today. No food until around 8 tonight due to dental appt. Need to keep focused as would love to lose 1 stone

    Goosey, I am fighting hard to get off the naughty step, Off work tomorrow so hope to have a low cal day and usual fast Wednesday with an additional fast on Thursday as I have crazy busy day at work and should be out of the office for most of the day. I am fed up of the scales moving in the wrong direction if they move at all. This week the scales better move down rather than up.

    Am starving! Why did I make such a late appt at the dentist?????

    I made the scones myself Lazy…..delicious. Good luck at the dentist.
    Only just eaten. Beef stroganoff from M&S 380 cals.
    First time I’ve been off my feet today and exhausted so shower a bit of fake tan and an early night for me. Starting back with my Davina DVDs this week. Determined to try and lose and tone some of this flab.
    Can’t wait for the day when I can’t rest my iPad on my fat belly :/

    So my first fast day is almost over. I have reached a total of 529 calories. I went slightly over. Oops!

    This is what I consumed.

    Water
    Herbal tea (green tea/red berry tea) GT: 2. RT: 8
    Tomato soup (165) with 10g of pumpkin seeds (61)
    Pineapple chunks 100g (54)
    Coffee with milk (24)
    Spinach 300g (78)
    Garlic x 3, 4g each (15)
    Pumpkin seeds 20g (112)

    Over all not a bad first day. I will have to make sure I keep an even closer eye on Wednesday. I basically did my calculations wrong. I wasn’t starving through out the day, but I did start flagging around 16.30-17.30!

    So tomorrow looking forward to some food and meat! I will still calorie count. And try not to go far over 1000.
