    Day 20, UK, NFD

Yesterday was too busy for posting, but I read all posts, never miss doing that, its so nice 🙂 . Eating has been good and it reflects on my clothes, I notice them to be a bit buggier :D. Scales don’t wanna play, booo 😂 . Still, I’m happy with that 🐢

I’m guessing with the nicer weather people tend to spend more time outdoors so online activities decline a bit 🙂

@sarahbob hope your baby is feeling better, I’m sure all those Mummy hugs are great help 🤗

Hope everyone has a great Sunday ❤

    Day 20 Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 NFD

Hope everyone is enjoying the weekend. I’m keeping mindful and making healthy food choices today so tomorrow’s FD will be easier.

    Day 20 Auckland NFD

@dykask Thank you for your comment about my referring to FDs as ‘deprivation’. It’s a good reminder that this WOL is as much about reprogramming attitudes as loosing weight. Chicken or the egg???

We are all recovering from the Royal Wedding today. The ceremony started at midnight local time. We had a girls night out – dressed up in pearls, tiaras, twin sets and scarves etc, drank sherry and generally had fun.

    Cheers!

    Day 20 USA (Illinois) NFD

Checking in — doing great. Hope to read posts and comment later on.

    Onward and downward.

    Day 20……Florida……CD

Congrats to those across the pond who have a new princess. Confession…..I did not watch it, not that I wasn’t interested in seeing it. I’m not a TV watcher, so, I actually forgot about it. Hopefully, Facebook will have some pictures today!

Not much going on today, I got all my chores and errands done yesterday. So total relaxation day here. If the rain stops, I have to get mt lettuce seeds in the ground. Since, we don’t garden in the heat of the summer, getting them in the ground in the next couple days, means I’ll be able to harvest just before Aug. heat and the end of our season.

I’m also making stuffed eggplant for dinner, total experiment on my part. So, looking for a win there.

Well….. I hope everyone has a wonderful day!

I dream of living in a world where a chicken can cross the road and his motives are not questioned!

    Day 20, London, UK, NFD,

    Very late checking in today.

Feeling ok about yesterdays’ NFD, I stayed below TDEE and although I can’t quite polish my halo (there was chocolate!) at least I was able to have ‘some’ rather than ‘all’; and today, I’ve just broken my fast with a couple of scrambled eggs …………..Done!!!

I spent yesterday afternoon planning my meals for the week, so theoretically this should be a good week with lots of smoothies (I’ve got to empty my freezer of fruit!!!) & healthy evening meals.

@mjrbcd44, good to hear from you I hope your lurking is doing you some good!!! I’m glad to see your geography has improved, keep the faith …………….. Hugs from London-shire!!!!!

    Onward & Downwards people!!!!

    Day 20 UK NFD

Yesterday’s fast day went well and I am doing 16:8 again today and weighed myself this morning and wahooo 2 pounds down. Finally a loss this month. Looks like I may end this month the same weight as at the end of April. It’s frustrating but I will keep going.

Thank you for everyone’s kind words. The baby is on the mend. He’s being a little monkey today so I shall take that as a good sign lol.

    Fast day again tomorrow.

Hope you all have a fab Sunday. 😁

Day 20 Stevensville Maryland USA CNFD

Yesterday was so much fun shopping with my darling daughter. I found a beautiful dress with lots of lace. I was shocked at the size of the dress. I use to wear a size 10 or 12 depending on the dress style. When I tried on an eight I was in shock. It fit. Then my daughter came in with a size 6. I said “No way will that fit me”. But when I put it on it fit me perfectly. If my DD wasn’t with me I would have never tried a size 6 on. I almost didn’t recognize myself. I just stood there staring back. I guess I must spend so time embracing the new me. Up until yesterday I was still seeing the old me.

The wedding week has arrived, I am so excited to host so many out of town guest next Saturday. Lot’s of bed making to do this week, I have 7 people staying at our home. Good thing we haven’t down sized our home yet.

The best preparation you can do for tomorrow is be your best today. Have a great Sunday everyone.

    Day 20 – USA – NFD

May try for a FD today; have been mindlessly binging while watching TV the past few evenings except for my Wed. and Fri. FDs. My daughter sent chocolate covered oreos for Mother’s day and I had to at least try one….uh, no. Two. Um, three. At 250 cals a pop and all that sugar, I was so sick afterwards!

@Sarabob, hug that “little monkey” for me! Glad all is well! @diana123, what a great accomplishment to be a size 6 (again?). I haven’t been a size 6 since I was a toddler, lol. @bert1802, do you stuff your eggplant with a ground beef mixture?

    Day 20 – Ireland 🇮🇪 – NFD

Just checking in. It’s my one day off this week so currently relaxing before another hectic week begins. I am looking forward to some wine soon….weekends can be enjoyed once there is an FD on the Monday ☺️

@diana123 well done on the size 6 dress.

Day 20 – SW WA USA – NFD

    Also Day 19 – NFD

Yesterday got away on me without posting. I set my alarm to get up to watch the royal wedding & woke up even before the alarm. I fixed some mint tea and began watching the celebration after only 2 1/2 hours sleep… Being a Canadian in the USA probably helps me have interest in things royal. A parade with many school bands and a friend in it, was also part of my Saturday. Walking to and from the parade was some good walking exercise. The day was full and rewarding! Eating was pretty good, making mostly healthy choices.

@diana123 – congratulations on a size 6 dress! What a lovely surprise. Good thing your daughter was shopping with you.

@Sarabob – so glad your munchkin is feeling better!

    Together we are stronger!

    Day 20. Belfast NFD
Just returned from a weekend with my two boys in Dublin. Scales are up (as usual) so the usual reset routine will happen again tomorrow. Those same old pounds coming and going. I’m diet weary so I’m going to take a short sabbatical to clear my head.
Hopefully I’ll be back in June. Good luck to everyone this month on their journey.

    Day 20, Gozo, Malta, nfd

Spend the day in Malta and ate at a lovely couple parents of my daughter boyfriend and there was my daughter and her boyfriend too. We had ravioli and then fish with mashed potatoes and mixed spiced vegetables. Afterwards it was strawberries and custard.

This evening I ate fruit and dried fruit with some yogurt rice cakes.

Tomorrow will be the first of B2B2B.

Diana123 what an achievement! Size 6 wow 😯. It’s the greatest gift 💝 you gave yourself, congratulations.

Good evening everyone. Onwards and downwards.

    Day 20 UK CD

It was Amazing to be awake AND feeling rested before a 5.30am alarm this morning. I’m becoming an early night/earlier morning person for the first time ever – thank you Magnesium Oil!

Also amazed to have got through the day without being tempted more than in passing by the treats on offer. It think it’s partly having food with me – tangerines, apples and snack box of fruit/nuts – meant I’m not looking at food with hungry eyes even after a long day. It’s pretty hot so more thirsty than hungry, but for once I’ve not drunk too much caffeine either – something is definitely changing in my head!

Looking forward to more of a rest & plan day tomorrow then back into town for an event in the early evening. Lots of project work to tackle this week, and some unexpected new opportunities popped up today so need to knuckle down and clear some space. Also I don’t usually go into town on a FD evening so may need to eat before I go – planning ahead time!

We’re into the last 10 days of the May Challenge and very nearly on the home strait now! It might be a good time to take stock of what’s working well or where we might helpfully pay attention in the bigger scheme of things. Feel free to share your wisdom, ideas, challenges or concerns as we head into our last full week.

@debster251 hope you had a lovely weekend with your boys! Have a good sabbatical and look forward to seeing you in June x
@annemarilyn well done on the walking & healthy choices, and hope you’ve been able to catch up on some more sleep!
@daffodil2010 you’ve definitely earned a wonderfully relaxing day off 🙂
@diana123 your shopping trip sounds like great fun – and a US size 6! Congratulations on the achievement – and the wisdom of trusting your daughter’s eyes. Hope you have a lovely time this week 🙂
@sarahbob 2lbs!! Well done 🙂 And so great that your little one is bouncing back again
@flourbaby planning meals for the week is such a brilliant idea. Everything is always so much better when I have a plan, and I usually fail only when i’ve not made the time to make one
@bert1802 I love aubergine but not yet managed to stuff & cook one successfully – always either bitter or burnt or watery Be glad to know how you go & what you stuff your eggplant/aubergine with

    Day 20. NFD
Hi, just checking in. I’m reading all the posts but not posting much myself. Hello everybody. Have a good Monday. H

    Day 21…NSW Australia…FD
    9.20am Monday

Hi to each and everyone of you!

Just enjoying these crisp mornings, the lovely sunny days and gorgeous Autumn leaves – Autumn is delightful! Waiting for our first frost!

FD for me today so hoping to stay focused, be accountable and succeed! With my Brother still very unwell, it’s easy to have comfort food as his health is all so very much ‘up in the air’ with unknown outcomes! I so wish for answers real soon.

Must go and enjoy the sunshine – might learn to play with our whipper snipper! I enjoy the look of good edges around the lawn. Been in lazy mode for too long!

Enjoy whatever you are getting up to and bye for now!

    Day 21 – Japan – FD 82.3kg

Wow so many people are doing so well! I’m not even sure what a size 6 means but it is clearly a lot better than a 10 or 12!

After my workout this morning my weight had dipped below 80kg. So overall I’m down about 3kg in 2018. I feel good about that because I don’t have that much to lose so it is harder and I’m building some muscle. The morning I noticed my belly fat is starting to move from the beach ball shape to a more abs shape. Still fat though.

    Day 21 FD Auckland

@dykask Congratulations on uncovering your six pack!

And @diana123 for achieving a size 6. I can’t quite comprehend such a small size! I am XL/18 English sizes. Or do we say classic sizing?! In about a year I’ll have a waist at the rate I’m going.

We’re moving again today… this time to a downtown apartment on the waterfront. It could be our last one if you don’t count the two trips out of town.

    Pocket List for Monday’s FD
    @merryapple

    Day 21 – Ireland 🇮🇪 -FD

Good morning. It’s a damp morning here in Ireland but there is a promise of much better weather an above average temperature for the weekend so really looking forward to getting through the week and taking my first spin this year on the motorcycle 🏍

And the weekend, despite restaurant on Friday, 50th party on Saturday, and lazy wine relaxing yesterday, did not punish me with pounds. Only a pound up, and it’s at a very nice number indeed…..so maybe Ultimate Goal might be reached soon. 🏁

I was super busy in work so lots of moving around, plus I did a lot of heavy garden work too, so lots of exercise….and, amazingly, yesterday evening I just did not feel hungry…despite glass of red wine in hand 🤔

I think I have assimilated that this is a WOL and not a diet. I can have treats at the weekend and straight into FD on a Monday, and off we go again. I want to stay this size for good, no more piling it on again!
    @debster251 see you in June.

    Day 21, Cornwall UK, FD

Been upcountry this weekend, visiting a friend in London who threw a Divorce Party! I arrived with Prosecco and food in hand, not sure if we would be crying or laughing, and feeling a bit nervous. It was weird and fun at the same time. Lots of wine consumed 😈 and it was worth it!

I listened to the wedding on the radio while I was driving. Thought the American paster did a great talk about love and fire. I was imagining the queen’s face as he was talking as she does not do emotion in public!

@dingping – my trip was 6 hrs each way of driving. So only do the move to Wales if you like driving/travelling! Its a worry for me sometimes as its a long drive to see my older parents. There’s a price to pay for living at the end of the line. Perhaps a life more of extremes – the wildness and beauty of Wales most of the time needs to compensate for hrs on the motorway! And the economy in some of these out-of-the-way places can be slow so make sure you have an adequate income! There are people in Cornwall doing 2-3 jobs to make ends meet. Good luck with your decision.

@merryapple – Your NZ road trip sounds amazing. I have images of snow tropped mountains and sparkling seas as you head down to Dunedin. I have a niece studying there and she sends pictures of the town and its quite beautiful. You lucky thing.

@diana123 – big congrats on your super slim shape and the upcoming wedding. I have a similar wedding coming up next year, so hope I make as good progress as you.

Onward and downward and welcome to the newbies! ☺

didn’t find any jeans on our shopping tour but found a nice dress, so it was fine. I don’t really need a pair of jeans, I have other pants/trousers to wear (and I secretly like the baggy ones, so convenient to wear).

    @diana123 isn’t that great, a Size 6! Well done!

@mjrbcd44 nice to hear from you, hope you’re fine. Just take care of yourself.

@debster251 last year I had to go out for a few month, I had the feeling fasting was taking over my life. Take care and see you in June!

@arelkade hope your brother will get better soon, don’t forget to take care of yourself!

@merryapple I hope this will be your last move. When will your house be ready to move in?

    Day 21 UK FD

Late & weary start but I slept well – thanks MO! Not sure how to do my FD around evening in town – eat early or wait and eat light but late? Perhaps begin by keeping going as long as i can on water, hot vegemite and apples. Interesting to have a FD when tired & see how I go with the energy-boosting part of fasting. No idea what i’ve done before – prob just that i don’t normally go into town on a Monday evening.

Well done to all who are feeling well on track, and cheers of encouragement to those who have found it heavy going. Today is a wonderful day for resetting – we can only ever start where we are, right now. Hope you have a Happy Monday x

    Day 21….Florida…..FD

I’m not ready to go back to work…… such a shame Bill is always banging on my door!
    My eggplant turned out wonderfully!
For those who wondered….I stuffed it with ground sausage. I don’t measure anything just go by the seat of my pants. This is what I did. I use a small eggplant, I find the larger they are the more bitter and tough they are.
Half the eggplant, scoop out the insides leaving about a 1/4in along the walls.
The stuffing was Italian sausage, the insides of the eggplant, mushrooms, onion and spinach. Fry until eggplant is soft. Add some panko and cream cheese.
Stuff eggplant. In the bottom of the pan, add 1/4 to 1/2 inch of water cover and bake for 1/2 hour. Remove cover bake another 1/2 hour… remove allow to rest for 10 min and enjoy! PS…..I season the hell out of everything too!

Okay well time has gotten away from me….. so it’s time to do be a productive member of society!

I dream of living in a world where a chicken can cross the road and his motives are not questioned!

    Day 21, London, UK, NFD

A quick post today, as the day has started to get away from me ……………so much to do, so little time!!! Once more aiming for a CD before tomorrows’ FD.

@debster251, I hope your break rejuvenates your mojo and we’ll see you in June.

We need to end this month on a roll people, keep the faith!!!

    Day 21 London NFD
    Day 20 NFD
    Day 19 FD

Hi All, Had a lovely weekend, surprisingly enjoyed watching the Royal Wedding got caught up in it in the end despite being not that fussed about the Royals.

Yesterday lovely day walking along the Regent’s canal from Angel to Victoria Park and enjoying some good street food, a relax and a book read in the park before walking home again (20,000 plus steps).

    Being mindful and in control.

@diana123 – congrats on finding that dress, WOW, WOW, WOW. All set now, so enjoy every moment.

@merryapple – Does nothing phase you? I’m so impressed by your casual announcement of yet another move, lets hope it’s the last before you get back home. Did I read awhile back also that OH is getting NZ arts Icon award and life is hectic with exhibitions far and wide? Mega impressed and mega pleased you can hold it together with 5:2 as well. Good luck with everything and congrats to OH.

@michelinme – ‘amazing to be awake and rested before 5.30am alarm’! I must get some MO!!! Good luck and positive vibes for negotiating your busy life, another inspiration in juggling a lot but staying with it.

    @sarahbob – get well wishes.

@ktcaroline – don’t be too hard on yourself. It’s taken me a week to get back to where I was two weeks ago! May has been spent bouncing up and down, aiming for discipline and stability going into the last week or so of May. I’m sure you’ll will find your focus.

@cornish-jane – What an enjoyable weekend of contrast you must have had!

Re country relocation – I hear you and it has passed through my mind frequently.
We/I are used to driving long distance, always done it as most family have always been 2+ hours away and used to driving our son to karting races all across the country a few years back. Do wonder about night time driving. OH not so confident with this now due to eye condition so I tend to do this part of a journey and you hear as you get older people generally dislike driving at night, don’t know if or when this will kick in for me (mid 50’s now). But the nights will be darker and longer probably in deepest darkest N. Wales so potential problems even just driving the local roads at night.
If we make the move OH will continue to work and stop over in London 4 days a week. Means an early start one day a week to drive at least an hour to a station with direct trains to London. Property also comes with a holiday let, so some income there once he retires (7 years). Local town is a more traditional bucket and spade seaside town and not an over run middle class ghetto, signs of some gentrification, so space for everyone.
It’s the beautiful location that is drawing us to it, if we don’t get this one I don’t know if we will expand our search in the area as it wasn’t a search area to start with because of the distances. Should you buy a place because of the views?
OH fallen in love with it and imagines finding inspiration to write. I can imagine having a happy life there doing lots of outdoors stuff (but that’s dependent on remaining fit an well) and doing up the property (but that doesn’t take forever). My main concerns are distances, managing my elderly mum from afar, seeing kids and g’kids (when they come along), living in a beautiful area but one that is considered economically deprived and getting trapped if we need to move on. It’s one thing to love it for two weeks on holiday it’s another to consider all year. Decisions, decisions???
Thanks for the insights, good to hear all sides.
Sounds like you relocated at one time, what was the draw, if you don’t mind me asking?

    Everyone have a good day.

    Ta x

    Day 19 – NFD

Busy weekend enjoying the great outdoors in the gorgeous weather we have been having 😎 and managing to more or less stick to my NFDs too!!! Thanks for holding on to me @bert1802 – it seems to be working 🤗

ONLY 10 DAYS left in this May Challenge – plenty of time to still make a difference………..

Today was going to be a FD but OH took me out for brunch – it would have been rude to refuse especially on such a sunny warm day – a yummy Eggs Benedict with pulled ham hock and a skinny flat white was very much enjoyed ☺️

@merryapple – lovely to hear from you and what great news for your OH – definitely something to be proud of and to celebrate
@redcoyoteblue – no sleep issues for me on FD but several others on the forum have reported this – I tend to fast all day and save my 500cals for an evening meal and find that works for me! On days when I do a liquid only FD I have a glass of homemade Kefir before bed which usually takes me to around 150cals for the day
@sarahbob – good to hear that your baby is feeling better x
@diana123 – Congratulations on finding the perfect dress and in a size smaller than you thought too – it was a good thing that your DD was with you – I hope you did a happy dance or at least a twirl💃 enjoy that wedding feeling fabulous!!! (@Merryapple – I believe that a US size 6 is a UK size 10 which I think is the same as in NZ)
@daffodil2010 – I’m with you “I think I have assimilated that this is a WOL and not a diet. I can have treats at the weekend and straight into FD on a Monday, and off we go again. I want to stay this size for good, no more piling it on again!” @debster251 – try thinking of 5:2 like we do and see if mentally it helps you refocus i.e. not a diet but a WOL – hope to see you back for the June Challenge 🤗

My usual Monday afternoon routine awaits – coffee with friends, Pilates then back home for a bit before my evening Yoga class – so I think today will definitely be a CD leading nicely into a FD tomorrow ………

    “DON’T EVER GIVE UP.
DON’T LET FRUSTRATION KNOCK YOU DOWN.
DON’T LET FEAR STAND IN YOUR WAY.
DON’T LET TIME GET IN YOUR HEAD.
WHO CARES HOW LONG IT TAKES OR HOW MANY TIMES YOU TRY.
YOUR ONLY COMPETITION IS YOURSELF. AND WHEN YOU FINALLY SUCCEED, THE STRUGGLE WILL ALL BE WORTH IT”

@dingping- don’t suppose you could suggest renting that house, or another, in the area for a year, or at least in the winter when it’s probably at its toughest, to check you really like it? It would be a pain to make a mistake and try to put it right. H

@merryapple – My six pack is still covered with a thick layer of fat, it is just the layer is retreating a bit. I’m not sure I’ll ever get to the point of having my abs showing. Most parts of my body my skin folds are around 1cm or even slightly less. However over my abs it is more like 3cm. It is just the shape of the fat that is starting to look more like abs is a artsy type of way.

Hang in there fellow pocket fasters!

I only found this today as family life has been very busy this month which has meant not much time to log in.
I’m hoping that I am now back on track after several months of not dipping in and putting on very nearly 1 stone. This month I made a new start and in the past nine days I have lost 5lbs so my goal for this month is to lose another 4lbs at least.

    Day 21, Gozo, Malta, fd

Thanks snowflake56 for including me in today’s pocket list.

I’m babysitting till 4.30 pm today.

Diana123 I hope you have a lovely time with your guests before the wedding too. Enjoy yourself.

Next Sunday my nephew is getting married too. I won’t be doing much except prepare myself and attend the wedding.

Today I’m keeping to 800 calories.

Onwards and downwards, have a great day everyone.

Day 21 North Canton OH FD

I watched the Royal Wedding and I have to admit, it put a smile on my face and a song in my heart. I wish them the very best life has to offer going forward.

I finally stepped off the plateau – 2 pounds down; fingers crossed the needle does not swing back the other way. I had an indulgent weekend and decided to go back to weekly weigh-ins on Saturday morning; the daily weigh-ins were not working for me psychologically.

@diana123 way to go girl! What a triumph  Yaas!
@debster251 a short sabbatical may be just what you need, look forward to seeing you back in June
@dykask congrats on the abs show LOL
@merryapple having just moved myself (first move in 20 years), I have to say that I would rather eat everything in my closet than move again! So congrats or my sympathies? Not sure which is appropriate here, but really impressed by your drama free pronouncement. I would not be quite so sanguine, I have to confess.
10 days to go! Let’s make it count

    Day 21, UK, FD

Thank God its a FD today because its very very needed after my FSD (face stuffing day) yesterday! I don’t know what possessed me but not only I ate well over my TDEE but also all unhealthy food I got my hands on! So not impressed with myself 😡 . Reset button pressed firmly!

@diana123 how woderful to see your new self in the mirror, congrats 😀

@debster251 take time off if needed, we will see you in June, take good care of yourself 🤗

@arelkade I didn’t realise your brother is unwell, I wish him a fast recovery and you getting all the answers you hope for 🤗

@dykask the glimpse of the six pack is very encouraging and a sure sign that you are doing things right and well. Keep going 😀

@daffodil2010 and @at – “I think I have assimilated that this is a WOL and not a diet.” What a great achievement, I hope to be there one day! 😀

@cornish-jane you make me giggle with your description of a divorce party, glad you enjoyed it in the end 😀

@sarahbob glad to hear the baby is better, but oh no, now you are poorly 🙁 . Hope you feel better soon 🤗

Welcome @joalan and well done on a loss of pounds already! Keep it up 🙂

@basyjames well done on stepped off the plateau and 2 pounds down 💃

10 days left, lets do this people! 💪

    Day 21 – USA – NFD
    Day 19 – USA – NFD
    Day 18 – USA – FD (474 cals.)

Could not find my log-in for days 18 and 19, so I posted them above. @debster251, see you in June! @merryapple, hang in there. You’re handling the entire situation with coolness and calmness. You must be looking at it as an adventure! @bert1802, thanks for the recipe, sounds very yummy! @dingping, I concur about a short-term rental to test the waters; it may help to go through a few seasons for 1 year and then make a long-term decision. @Dyask, congrats on seeing your artsy abs, lol! @Sarabob, take care of yourself! @basyjames, wonderful to get off that plateau! I’m currently playing with 3-4 lbs. up and down over the entire month of May, but my measurements continue to shrink, so I know something good is happening!

    Day 21 – NC, USA – FD

This weekend was emotionally trying for me and I need to get myself in a better head space this week. My husband went out of town for a race on Thursday, and as a sweet gesture, decided to have a box of chocolate dipped strawberries and a box of 3 cheesecakes delivered on Friday. I don’t know why it hit me so hard and made me so angry but I could not shake it off all weekend. F/Sa/Su were NFDs, so I suppose I could have indulged but the month of May has been all about trying to navigate social situations happily while remaining in control when it comes to food. I felt I had done so well the first weekend with my daughter, then handled my son’s graduation pretty well, and this was the first weekend I had no engagement before I head on the road tomorrow morning for 8 days (family reunion and father in law’s memorial). I was looking forward to not focusing on food and just relaxing. With this food in the house, it felt like suddenly I was thrust back into high vigilance. I had 1 strawberry (HOW is it even possible that 1 chocolate dipped berry be 150 calorie???? I mean seriously?) and ignored the cheesecakes that day while my kids polished the rest of the box and had one of the cheesecakes. But the rest of the weekend, every time I opened the fridge, I had to consciously wrestle with myself for self control. It made me angry to have to wage that internal battle once more. Isn’t that so silly? I realize it’s not very rational of me. My husband was just trying to be sweet. I know that intellectually. And yet I was furious with him all weekend. After 3 months of this WOL, I’m 10lbs from my goal and it felt thoughtless even though it was meant as an expression of love.

Ultimately, the good news is that I won and never touched either cheesecake (these 700 calories for 4 bites would not have improved my mood). I know I should feel proud of myself for staying strong, but I think I was in such a state over it all weekend, I’m more emotionally exhausted than triumphant this morning. Thank goodness today is a FD and my husband comes home! I have asked him to eat the two that remain when he walks through the door tonight!!! Sorry for venting 🙁 …moving on. Driving 20 hours over the next couple of days to get to Iowa, so I’ll make sure I pack healthy clean food for the next two days so I can start our family reunion in a good space mentally on Thursday 🙂

@diana123 Congratulations! So happy for you! You worked so hard at revealing the real you under the layer. So wonderful that you can see yourself as you are today! Enjoy this fabulous (and busy) week!

@daffodil2010, so glad you’re in this space!

Day 21 – SW WA USA – FD

Reading the wonderful posts really is encouraging this morning. I definitely need a reset after yesterday as I also ended up pretty much having a FSD (face stuffing day) along with you @shinything. I haven’t had so many carbs in a day for a long time. The morning after is not pleasant.
@at thank you for today’s encouraging quote – …”the struggle will be worth it.”

    DAY 21 OREGON, USA

    Greeting, all !
3rd FD for me today and hoping for the best. Gonna try to keep it fresh organic raw vegies + tea + sparkly water + organic kosher dill 0 cals today, til dinner. Let’s see what happens, my husb is going to cook tonight.
Best of good luck to all, today !

    Day 21, Finland FD

Been a really busy weekend and start to the week. I have read all the posts, but don’t have time to answer them all. A big congratulations to everyone having success, and bucket loads of encouragement for those that need it!

Adding myself to the pocket list even though it is the end of the day. I have had a successful FD, and with a busy week at work ahead I hope eating should stay well controlled.

    Day 21 USA (Illinois) NFD

Keeping under TDEE and doing fine.

    Onward and downward.

    Day 22 – Japan – NFD!!! 77.7kg

My weight keeps hitting slightly lower lows. However to have my weight to be stable around 75kg I probably would have to be hitting down in to 72kg range after a fast. Still I’m a lot closer than I used to be.

Pocket List Day 21 — The finish line is near except for the B2B couple …

    Day 22 – Dubai – FD#16

I’ve been off the radar for a few days but have read all of your posts. Today is a FD after too many days of eating everything in sight — started eating cake to celebrate the royal wedding (it put a smile on my face too @basyjames) and I just didn’t stop! I’m back on the wagon today. I seem to keep gaining and losing the same 3 pounds. Very frustrating.

It’s Ramadan and with most people fasting while the sun’s up you would think it would be easier but somehow it feels more difficult, . After reading all of your inspirational and positive posts I’m recommitting to this WOE!! Thank you all and congratulations to those who are moving towards their goals. Well done @diana123. Wow.

At the end of every work day I have a choice to either go home and have a workout or turn my car in the direction of the little local grocery store to pick up some cookies, chocolate, ice cream, etc. 5 days a week I battle with this choice – I will keep the Buddha quote in mind, thanks @at.

Starting a new FD pocket list for Day 22:

    @stoic

    Day 22 – Ireland 🇮🇪 – NFD

I normally have a B2B FD on Monday and Tuesday but my DH will actually be home early from work this evening so we will have dinner together. First time having a midweek meal since……January 😆 No point trying to have an FD although I have already prepared the meal and its calorie friendly so perhaps a good CD instead.

So this will be my first time doing a normal 5:2 week…..getting in the practice for maintaining which hopefully should be in the next few weeks. I plan to consolidate my goal weight with a 5lb acceptable weight range (AWR) and stay on 5:2 for at least 6 months…..then if THAT is successful I may move to 6:1 in 2019. Long term plans people 🤓

@stoic there is a family near us observing Ramadan and I used to wonder how it could be done with the very long daylight hours we have at this time in Ireland. They would be out in their garden eating at 11pm! Now being used to fasting myself it’s just a WOL ☺️

@emma1202 good for you resisting the cheesecake but sorry that you felt annoyed by the sweet (in more ways than one) gesture. Sometimes our OH’s just don’t GET it, but well done for making it. I see you also update daily on the spreadsheet so you are doing well. Onwards and downwards.

@basyjames great that you have stepped off the plateau.

Wishing everyone a great Tuesday, whatever you plan to do. Today is a great day to have a great day.

    Day 22 – UK – Reading CD

Some success yesterday, for the first time all month. I think I finally got my head back in gear. So a controlled day today, and then another FD tomorrow. Enjoy the sunshine everyone! Onwards and downwards …

    Day 22, London, UK, FD

No weight gain this weekend after 4 NFDs, this is unusual for me as my control always slips after day 2!!! Perhaps I stayed stable because there wasn’t any wine?? There was certainly lots of EVERYTHING else – cheese, chocolate(odd cravings) and biscuits ……………. Just NO wine!!!! Hhmm, further experimentation required!!!

@emma1202, I know it’s not funny and it caused you a certain amount of angst ……………………….. but I can’t help picturing you waiting at the front door, rolling pin in hand, greeting your OH with 2 cheesecakes and the menacing demand …………….”EAT IT……………… EAT IT ALL …………….NOW”

I hope we’re all heading towards the end of May, just that little bit lighter – physically or mentally – it’s ALL good!!!!! Stay strong everyone!!!!
