Great, thanks Simcoeluv !
I’ll have to do something else, then ha ha. Main thing is to keep having dinner w my husb. Hoping he might ultimately get on this, too 🙂

Day 14 3rd Post
OK, wonderful and thanks @michelinme ! you saw @simcoeluv also pointed out that FD is a 36 hour, not 24 hour fast – I’ve got it now !
THANKS to both of you !
Also, thanks for the further orientation to this link and Pocket lists. I was looking for something like this and this is even better !
Day 14….2nd post
@at……I got you……Grab my hand, I’ll pull you through!
@ah-tee…..I’m a little lost in translation, but your post made me want to at least clarify something! First…..I want you to be successful! If I’m just being a dork and you already understand this….Please just ignore me! After all….I am. Really a dork!
A fast is a time when you consume nothing except water…. we all do this naturally it’s called sleep! Thank goodness for Mother Nature!
On 5:2, while awake on a fast day…. you consume 500 calories….this is anytime you want and anything you want with in 500 calories.
While awake on non fast days…..you consume your TDEE calories…..this is anytime you want and anything you want!
On 5:2 combined with 23 hour fast….. is same calories as FD or NFD… but only eating during a 1 hour time period!
Same goes for 35 hours…..
Now, what I think most of us do is 5:2 with 16/8…. which basically means we stay in a fast state 16 hours consuming nothing but water and for 8 hours we are eating FD 500 calories on NFD…..TDEE calories
My concern is regardless of what your fasted times are you allow yourself a day where your not denying yourself sufficient calories.
I highly, highly recommended for the first month or two, you say strict to the original 5:2 plan…… 2 24 hour periods of only 500 calories and 5 days of your TDEE calories.
Once you established a base line of this WOL, then you can tweak it and play with your fasted state.
The point is for this to be a successful WOL for you that is substanable for your life time!
Plus, we want you to be safe as well!
Here’s what my days look like
On FD
Twice a week
I skip breakfast
Lunch I eat no more than 100 calories
Dinner with my family…. I eat 400 calories
On NFD
5 times a week
I skip breakfast
Eat around 300 calories at lunch
Dinner….. 700 calories……
and a snack for about 300 calories
Okay…. thank you for reading my thoughts and allowing me to make sure you are safe and successful!
I dream of living in a world where a chicken can cross the road and his motives are not questioned!

Anne- I just eat protein and fats. It works for me. I do not eat plants at all.. its been a long process, but I feel best this way. Thanks for asking.
I am on a fasting day today. Drinking some tea, water.. did my workout. I hope you all had. great day as well!
Day 15, Cornwall UK, NFD
Good fast day yesterday. Hoping to have a controlled week after an OTT (over the top!) weekend. Work is busy, the sun is shining, and I’m happy because its summer. And I’m looking forward to yoga today, hoping our teacher pushes us a bit harder, as she eased up for some newbies recently.🌞
Day 15 – Ireland 🇮🇪 – FD 2nd B2B
Good morning all. I am happy to say that the little grouchy Daff of yesterday has gone and I am full of the joys of life with a spring in my step. @at, many thanks for the hug yesterday and @flourbaby empathy with you too and TOM.
But today is a new day and despite the sullen clouds of yesterday I whooshed 2.5lbs and at new low weight with just mere ounces away before I see 128…..fingers crossed for tomorrow after today’s 2nd FD 👍
To all of you who commented on Project Camper (Project Scooby Doo bus)
😄………@ccco, @flourbaby, @shinything, @debster251, @kerryn73, @bert1802, @penz, @michelinme…….thank you!!!
I am beyond excited at the upcoming project. Not daunted so far. DH wil do all the servicing and much of the interior insulation blah blah then the fun part ….interiors!!
Really looking forward to getting her kitted out. She was dropped yesterday into get resprayed and get privacy Windows fitted so in a 2 weeks time she will be back with us shiny and fresh.
We are off to Spain at the end of September but don’t reckon she will be ready by then, but from next year it’s a go! And with the motorcycle on the back the possibilities are endless.
@kerryn73 I am partial to nice hotels myself and when we travel on the motorcycle we do treat ourselves to hotels en route. But with a luxury camper it’s a new world. My DH was a continental truck driver when he was younger and well used to sleeping in a cab on the road 😆
@bert1802 I wonder if there are community camper folks in Europe….must look it up.
@flourbaby…yikes, we will probably be one of those big campers holding up traffic on country lanes with the big BMW GS strapped to the back..ha ha 😆😆😆😆
Have a lovely day.

Day 15, Newcastle UK, ?D
Aiming for something nearer to an 800 calorie FD today – but not putting myself onto the pocket list as I’m hoping no self-pressure will lead to no self-sabatage. Last week’s chickens have come home to roost, but after two nights off the booze, and a great night’s sleep last night, I’m feeling up to the task.
Yes @annemarilyn, G&S is good fun – my Dad joined too. Fortunately I sit next to a very good soprano and am able to follow her along with the score.
Congratulations @daffodil2010 on your tremendous results – I am truly envious and inspired in equal measure!! How did the Lydl launch go and when will your produce be available – and will it be available in the UK too?
Have a great day folks and remember “You only really fail when you give up trying.”
Day 14, Guildford UK, FD
@catch87 I included you and mum in my morning votive
@anna6 happy belated birthday and get well soon
@strawberriesandcream ouch on the broken rib, exercise is clearly dangerous!
@michelinmm1 welcome
I have lost the post but quite a few threads ago was asked how I got my chicken bones. Every week I roast (or broil) at least one chicken and remove the meat then put the rest plus some wings (frozen from Iceland or Sainsbury) into the slow cooker with water and some vinegar (or cider or tomato juice from lidl) until they are almost dissolved. I skim and seive but I don’t clarify or filter. I just use as is. Sometimes I use lemon. I find the acidity helps dissolve the bones. I am less keen in the summer but it’s become a habit. I chew the soft bones too.
Hope that helps.

Day 15, London, UK, FD
I’ve decided to skip the usual B2B2B this week, and concentrate on 5:2 or 4:3, additional exercise and sticking to the plan – whatever it may be!!!
@at, the cake wasn’t light and fluffy, very chocolatey but not ‘brownie’ heavy or dense and not very sweet. I suppose it was more muffin consistency, maybe next time I’ll throw in a couple of dates and see how it turns out. Warmed in the microwave and served with a spoonful of whipped cream…………………… it was fantastic and surprisingly light!!! I think I needed to blitz the mix a bit longer as the black beans weren’t 100% liquefied.
I’ve been neglecting my hydration lately, so my focus at the moment is sticking to the basics of 5:2 (although 3 FDs/week suits me, maybe i’ll just spread them out a bit! 4:3?), upping exercise and increasing my water intake, it seems as though I’m not much of a multitasker!!!! As soon as I focus on one thing, everything else goes out the window……… focus is key here, so I’ll K.I.S.S for the moment!!!
Onward & downwards folks, stay strong as we finish May in style!!!!!
Day 15 – Amsterdam, NFD
Had really good FD yesterday, felt like no problem at all. This usually happens where my first FD of the week is easy peasy and the 2nd usually falls into more of a CD. I don’t know why but it always seems harder at work and with it (usually) being a Thursday!
Anyway. Thank you all for the good wishes for my Mum – I am so touched. She is doing OK, the doctors confirmed she has a very bad infection and will keep her in hospital till it subsides – she didn’t even know she had a high fever when they took her in over the weekend… She is not taking care of herself, barely eating (her hands are very gnarly due to the RA, and she finds it impossible to cut food up these days). My father cuts it for her when they are together but they are not always together. They live between London and Mallorca – he stays as much as possible in Mallorca, which I don’t blame him, and she spends more time in London a lot for her NHS treatment but now it seems he will have to go with her, or they’ll transfer her care to Spain.
Anyway sorry for the long mother-related post, must be quite dull, but good to get something off my chest every now and then. I’m hoping she will make a speedy recovery.
In other news, I am going to join a new gym tomorrow! Same as my partner – they have a couples deal on – and they have some really excellent classes, at good times, and in general it feels like an exciting option for me to get more exercise in. Hot yoga is on hold during these hotter days – can’t stand the idea of being in a room 36C whilst it’s 27C outside! My new gym has lots of excellent classes like abs (30 mins) body contour, strength (& cardio) HIIT, indoor cycling (my favourite), outdoor bootcamps, booty shaping (huh) etc! Can’t wait… 🙂
Thanks to all again and see you on the (down)side!
Day 15, Essex, Uk, CD.
Morning all, I haven’t had time to catch up on all the posts but hoping you are all well. I have been doing really quite good with being healthy in May so far, my sugar intake is a lot lower than what it was and I am well on my way to reaching my target for the month, the scales have stopped moving down the last 3/4 days but I have faith that they will soon start moving again and I am not panicking (yet!).
I’m sticking to walking my cockapoo atleast once a day at the moment but I am experiencing some pain in my knees/hips, I am quite shocked by this as I am young (not yet 30) and I have been about 3st heavier than my current weight without experiencing any joint pain. I can only put it down to the fact that perhaps I wasn’t walking as much when I was heavier. I am doing the purely british thing and just ignoring it and hoping it will go away. It makes me think that maybe delaying more strenuous activity like running and joining Gym classes until I am close to a healthy BMI is going to be a smarter choice for me rather than just diving in.
@catch87- I love the idea of a cycling class but I tried it once and the pain from sitting on the seat was agony! the instructor said you get used to it but I didn’t go back, does the pain really get better? I would have just thought it was me but three of us went together and we were all in agony.
Have a good day all x
Day 15…..Florida…..CD
Yesterday was a pretty productive day, I was a bit over food wise but I found myself to a bit hungrier than usual. I think maybe it was due to the fact, I officially started my new job at work.
There is quite a lot to be done before, I smoothly transition into the repetitiveness of the job. Normally, this job was done on an as needed basis by anyone who was free to do it but fell by the way side a couple years ago when the market slid into a coma. I can easily say nothing has been done in three years.
My first step is to clean and organize what will now be my office….. okay it’s just a room in the back warehouse where we keep builder and contractor samples but it is a crazy messy. I can’t work in mess….. so, my project for the next week is to get that done.
I will also be transitioning into the paperwork side of the business too, because my job is becoming three fold. I’m sure it will take a couple months or so to get it running at top performance.
I think that is part of the reason they have me doing it all because I won’t dilly dally in getting the project in forward motion. I’m one of those who like to work smarter not harder, so, I tend to get things running in the smarter direction fairly quickly.
So, today, I’m making it a controlled day staying right around 800 calories.
@at…….. you got this! Today will be like no other day! 1 step in a forward direction, is success in a long term goal!
I dream of living in a world where a chicken can cross the road and his motives are not questioned!
Day 15, FD, USA
Well yesterday’s LFD became more like a CD. I think (repeat!!) it was around 500 calories but not sure that I want to call it a successful FD. But at least it was mindful and healthy eating.
So glad to see the sunny cheerful Daffodil2010 back! Must be your tag, but I always picture you as a bright yellow smiling flower!
And I couldn’t help but wonder if you’re going to apply Fly Lady techinques on your workspace, Bert1082. Somehow I think you will!
Have a good Tuesday everyone.
Day 15 Stevensville Maryland CNFD
I am getting so excited, my daughters wedding is less than 2 weeks away. Will be shopping for a new MOB dress this weekend.
Yesterday was a good CFD by staying under 300 calories. I still have until noon to break my fast as I do 16:8 everyday, making my fast a 36 hrs fast and I don’t even feel hungry. I am so grateful that I found this WOL and this form. I would not have reach my goal weight for the wedding without it.
The best preparation you can do for tomorrow is to be your best today. Have a great Tuesday everyone.
Day 15 FD Halfway to end of May
I am stuck on a plateau and it’s a little frustrating, I have been gaining and losing the same 3-4 pounds for the last 3 weeks 🙁 ever since I completed my 5 day water fast actually. @dykask did you ever encounter this problem?
I thought about doing another string of water fasts but I decided not to;I only want to water fast a couple times a year. I should eventually begin to see a downward trend again ( I hope). I think I have gotten spoiled, I have not had to deal with plateaus very much since I started to fast; in fact I only hit a plateau once last year, so I am not coping very well with this current state of affairs.
Day 15 – USA – NFD
@basyjames, been there, done that! Do you eat low carb? If so, I would suggest upping your carbs just one day once in a while to “trick” your body into a whoosh. That being said, I’m also up 2.4 lbs. from my last weigh of 158.8, but with a NFD today and 2 more FDs this week, I hope to bottom out by Saturday at about 158. Slow and steady in turtle dirt at Club Tor-twah!
Day 15, Finland, CD/FD ???
Hi everyone!
Not sure what today is, FD or CD! I am in between night shifts and my eating pattern is all confused. So I started a fast at 8pm Sunday, ate a small bowl of soup at 5pm Monday. NOrmally I would then not eat until Tuesday morning…..but because it was night shift I had a 250cal salad at 3am and a 180cal protein bar on the way home at 7.30am. While not strictly under 500cal, it would be just over, so it counts as a FD right? What about now when I have had chicken wrap about 400 cal when i woke at 4pm and will have same salad at 3am and protein bar at 7.30am…..is that just a CD? Maybe they are both just CD and I haven’t fasted at all?! Too confusing, but that is how my week has started….either way I don’t feel as blah as I did yesterday after the weekend, and that is surely what counts the most right?
@flourbaby hope your May second half reset is going well….we can do it! Nothing wrong with going back to basics….it still works!
@michelinme hope you are feeling better today
@diana123 congratulations on the too big outfit…what a lovely problem to have 2 weeks before a wedding 😉
@at I hope I felt your hands on the reset button with the rest of us…you can get back your holiday and pre holiday mojo back!
@anna6 hope you are feeling better
@catch87 hope your mum is having a better day today, and you along with her.Don’t you get reciprocal healthcare because of the EU? Does it matter where your mum is in terms of receiving treatment, I would think the warm of spain would do her RA good. It must be tough for both your mum and dad to be apart when one is ill. And enjoy the new gym!
@ah-tee how did your first fast go?
@bert1802 Great advice you gave @ah-tee….. I do the same as your weekly plan and, when I am being a good girl ;-), it works successfully and in my mind isn’t too difficult.
@dykask congratulations on the new low weight!
@michelemm1 all the posts come to my email on the phone so I can read them s they come in. I don’t always have time to go back and reply…but I am trying to be more accountable and this is how it helps! Just do whatever works for you!
@daffodil2010 oh I like hotels too! But I don’t see them as a necessity like OH does! I did my travelling in Europe at the start with my backpack and hostel card, and before I got married did a 4week camping/driving trip from England to Finland. It was so much more fun than being in a hotel. May I would have a different opinion now I am a little older. I plan on trying camping with the kids this summer for the first time…if I can remember how to put the tent up 🙂
@metatauta Club Tor-twah sounds so exclusive and posh when you put it like that! Love it!
Well everyone hope you are having a wonderful spring day, and may the scales always be in your favour!
Day 15. WI, USA
I was sick and got off track. I am not sure I did too much damage, as I was not feeling like eating much. I didn’t have the energy to manage or organize what I was eating though. Just trying to get through my work day while feeling like a turd. I’m am certain we all have been there.
FD today. So far it is going well. 60 push ups and 10K steps.
Hope you all have an EXCELLENT day! Sunny and mild in Wisconsin. Yay!
Day 15 – NC, USA – NFD
Boy I was glad to see the end of yesterday’s FD! After indulging for 3 days, it felt very long, my brain was fuzzy all day, and I was a little grouchy (I was told ;). The moment of truth of the damage I did this weekend came this morning on the scale. 131.2. Not bad given the amount of creampuffs and general food I ate. Basically I maintained. I’ll take that!!!! Thank goodness for fasting! This WOL makes it possible to enjoy occasional social events without feeling like I have lost complete control. I think I might be able to reach my goal this month. That would make me so happy!!!
On that note, I can’t decide if this week is going to be a 5:2 or 4:3 week. I am taking my son’s girlfriend out to lunch on Thursday so fasting is out that day but that leaves me with either fasting M/W/F or M/Th. I might try to do MWF but Wednesday do a regular FD instead of a liquid FD. For those of you who have done both the LFD and the “regular” FD, do you see a big difference in what happens on the scale/in your body between the 2 versions?
@ah-tee….. if you see that eating 500 calories opens up your appetite instead of satisfying it, some people just do a liquid fast on FD. Which means you stop eating Sunday night, drink water/tea/coffee during your FD, and break your fast on Tuesday morning. Normally, that’s what I do because I find it easier to not eat at all than eat very little.
@daffodil2010, I’m so excited for you! Congratulations on your successes! You are such an excellent motivator for me. I’m chasing after you 🙂 Glad you got your smile back too!
Day 15, 2nd post
I forgot to mention. I got some magnesium oil and dutifully applied it to the soles of my feet when I hopped into bed. But! It made no difference to my sleep pattern (woke hours before the alarm was due to go off as normal). I didn’t get any skin tingling, so maybe I didn’t spray enough? When should I expect to see some benefits?!
[And for some reason, when I visit this site from my work computer, I don’t get the search button which would make it easier for me to revist the earlier posts about the dos and don’ts about MO.]
Second post
@metatauta I usually follow lower carb on FD with a higher carb treat day at least one day a week…I wonder if I may be eating too much on my NFD although I doubt it. I should probably track my calories for the entire week to be sure. decisions decisions 🙂
Day 15 – SW WA USA – FD
Yesterday’s LFD went quite well. Today I’m giving myself permission to do a 500 FD. I’ll put off the eating of solids until supper if possible. That’ll give me from 8 PM Sunday evening until about 6:00 PM today, Tues. – 46 hours before I have some solid food and “break” my fast. @kerryn73 – those night shifts sound tricky & Math isn’t my strong suit. I’m glad you’re feeling better & listening to your body is important.
@daffodil2010 – I’m glad you’re feeling better today & a whoosh to boot!
@stoic – what kind of exams are you dealing with? Are you a student or the teacher? As a teacher myself, we’re dealing with state annual exams right now so my schedule is quite different from day to day.
@rainbowsmile – if you’re doing 5 B2Bs, what type of FDs are you doing? Just curious. I’m always changing it up in hopes of continuing the journey downward.
Glad we’re on this journey together!
Day 15, NFD, UK
Right in the middle of the monthly challenge and I am hoping to reach my goal (Loosing 1kg). This morning I had lost half a pound and I was not expecting that, so pretty happy. Particularly because I have a bad cold and it always triggers sugary/fatty cravings. I kept those under control today during this NFD. It has been quite a stressful couple of weeks – I bet that played in messing my immune system- so my husband decided to take a day off to take me out for lunch tomorrow. I usually do a controlled- lowish cal day on Wednesdays so I will eat consciously but I won’t say no to dessert! Although I noticed that I don’t feel hungry enough to eat dessert anymore. And the big change is that I now recognise that I am not hungry anymore. Overall, I do feel less hungry and don’t find myself looking and “wanting” my kids afternoon snacks! Have any of you noticed this as well?
Let’s hope for another sunny day tomorrow!
Day 15, UK, NFD
Yesterday’s FD was very good, and even though I felt hungry I ended the day with under 500 cal 🙂 . Cruella finally acknowledged that that should be noted , so the weight showed under 54 kg, which is great as it gives me a hope to actually meet my target for May. We shall see …. 🐢
I read through all the posts but no time to reply to all.
I see that few friends are feeling poorly, I hope you all feel better soon 🤗
To all that are struggling, keep going and don’t get down about things not moving, we’ve all been there, you will thank yourself for doing it sooner or later 😊
And for all that are doing well, you guys keep our spirits up and inspire 😎
Have a great day everyone ❤
Day 15 Columbia Gorge, OR USA
Hey thanks many and all of your for such support ! I’ve learned a lot already : )
I swam my mile first thing and that’s always good.
Then thru the day ate the following just to be accountable:
–BRUNCH cuppa coffee and 2oz 1/2 1/2, and mixed vegie salad (2c) with 1 tsp Olive oil and lime for
—— Added some nuts (macadamia and peanuts) and raisin mix we have, all this is organic.
———–THAT can make someone go over – high calorie density, indeed – but just 1oz
–DINNER Same salad I’d made already (2c) plus 10z nuts/raisins above plus 2 oz grilled swordfish
And I was fine (!!).
Added to that drinking water, Perrier, Kavita and Kombucha all day long.
When I thought I wanted or “needed” something to eat, I made myself down a glass of water.
If I still wanted something, I ate an organic kosher dill – 000000 Calories and plenty flavor, tart.
I think I’ll plan ahead for THURS fast and eat exactly what I plan and calc out cal wise.
Then think of other things that I can add if hungry.
Low density food like fresh vegies and fruit make plenty eating – Chewing and some sort of flavor.
Then save 350-400cals for dinner and eat real easy.
NO Saying this will be as easy next time around, Beginner’s LUCK I’m thinking : )
Thanks for all you all !
@ah-tee
Day 15, Gozo, Malta, fd/cd
Kerryn73 and michelinme thanks for your wishes. Michelinme I hope your sore throat will go away. I’m still sick 🤒but on the mend.
Today’s fast day turned into a 950 calories cd. I had a snack attack between 6.00 to 7.00 pm.
My eldest grandson was had fever today. His mother my youngest pregnant daughter was unwell today as well but had to attend a lecture at the local hospital after work. He loves staying with me but adores his mum and misses her. This evening I gave him a shower in our bathtub.
Today I cooked no-fuss cottage pie, a recipe on Comfort food without the calories by Justine Pattison at 302 calories per portion. However I omitted the formage frais and added olive oil with the mash.
Good evening/night everyone, onwards and downwards.
Day 16 – Japan – NFD 80.8kg
@basyjames – I often get stuck on a plateau, just seems to be how my body works. I will lose weight while fasting, especially on multi-day fasts, but mostly it comes back. I just keep at it and sooner or later I experience a shift downward. The lower my weight though the more effort it seems that is needed. For me a plateau typically lasts 2 to 4 months. When I was just using calorie restriction I had a two year plateau and that was horrible. With fasting though I’m always finding little improvements even if it isn’t weight loss. I’m trying to build lean body mass so I also pay attention to if I’m getting stronger or if I can see or feel more muscle.
I also think there is a multi-week cycle my weight goes through. Sometimes I’m just weighing a couple kg heavier and it will go on like that for weeks, and then there are other times it is just lighter for weeks.
On any given day I’ll see my weight move several kg. For example this morning I was 80.8kg but by the time I eat breakfast after a workout and shower I was down to 79.1kg. Tonight I’ll likely be around 82kg. So what is m real weight?
What I really pay attention too is how much excess fat I have. Lately my belly fat has been declining. In fact I’m seeing signs multiple areas that fat is being used up, more veins showing for example or how my ribs are starting to show a bit. I can’t really count them but I can see them … So that is kind of how I track progress.
Since I workout a good amount, I expect that causes a lot of weight confusion. I’m okay with that. Besides this morning when I measured 79.1kg I was below the initial goal weight that was considered very aggressive when I had a DEXXA scan. In fact I was told I probably couldn’t get there at my age and build. Now I’m thinking 75kg is my goal.
Day 16, Emden Germany, FD
had friends over for a week, were very busy, ate too much. A reset is needed.
So many posts, only read this page, a lot happened last week.
@anna6 and @rainbowsmile happy very belated birthday greetings
@daffodil2010 what a project you’re taking on,but how wonderful it will be.
@catch87 hope your mother will recover quickly.
@ah-tee and @michelemm1 welcome!
Pocket list Day 16
Have a good day everyone!
Day 16 – Ireland 🇮🇪 – CD
Yes, I have seen 128 on the scale! So my little 3 week plateau of bouncing around 129-131 is broken. My ultimate goal is 125 by my birthday 6th June but this slow inching along….only about 3 weeks left to lose 3.5lbs and into maintenance 🤔
I don’t mind, it’s absolutely GREAT to have this problem ha ha 👍
So a CD today, one more FD tomorrow, and we will see what Friday mornings weigh in will show.
So @basyjames, plateaus have become quite the norm for me the past 6 months. The body settles into a pattern for at least 3-4 weeks before hoisting itself off on the weight loss again. Don’t be disheartened by your plateau…..it’s all part of this WOL I guess.
@penz aw thanks, I do love the daffodils, they signal a bright fresh new year and make me happy.
@snowflake56 I know, this Project Scooby Doo has us consumed with plans! And our travel fur the next 20 odd years or more is sorted. I love motorcycle travel (we have travelled a lot around Europe every year….even been to Albania 😄) but now with a camper the opportunities increase!!! Yay!!!
@emma1202 and @annemarilyn thanks for the good wishes, it’s nice to get a whoosh when feeling blah 🤗
@kerryn73 way back in the day (1990 I think 😳) my sister and I inter-railed around Europe with our tent and hostel card. It was such fun. I have not out up a tent since however…😉 Have fun if you take the kids camping.
Hope all those who are unwell @michelinme, @anna6 feel better soon.
Day 16 London FD
Hi All,
Been missing for 10 days and have been living a chaotic life on the road without being able to even touch base, this has meant no FD’s and equally chaotic eating.
Life has no rhythm at the moment and if I’m honest hasn’t for many years and explains a little why I’m finding it very hard to find my rhythm with fasting.
I haven’t given up I’m still trying as I know my eating patterns are changing, I can do FD’s when I have the opportunity, even without FF sandwiches (yeh!).
Even if I go off the rails my naughty carb choices are changing – I’m not prowling the sugar aisle (yeh!).
I can eat mindfully. OH is addicted to coffee so we have frequented coffee shops and cafes ++++ during my time out but mostly I have stuck to tea or water in these places and if indulgent we have shared cake, yes shared cake and equally!! (yeh!)
When I have it I like ‘the thin on the inside’ feeling you get when in control and keeps you mindful, I feel so proud of me then, but it can disappear like trying to clutch a cloud with a few mishaps and then blah and meh quickly follow. Food wise the past ten days have been blah but not epic blah, controlled blah! (yeh!)
I think slowly and with the two steps forwards and one step back approach I am taking control, I’m being more responsible, more thoughtful in what I choose to put in my mouth, it may not be showing great results on the scales or waistline but a mindset I hope is changing, I’m entering a new paradigm!!!! (yeh, go baby, go baby!!!)
Looking forward to less chaos and returning to ‘thin on the inside’ and reading all the posts I’ve missed.
Wishing everyone buckets of positivity.
Thanks for being here. x
Day 16, London, UK, FD or CD
I said I wasn’t doing my usual B2B2B this week, but find myself with a salad for lunch and a boxing class this evening until 9pm, by which time it’ll be too late to eat so, I think this will be my 2nd OMAD FD this week and we’ll have to see about tomorrow, if it’s a NFD then it’s the start of 5 in a row which I’ve never been able to manage in a controlled fashion, by day 3 the sugar/carb/wine dragons are having a party in my mind & body!!!!
@penz, all I can say is “Patience young grasshopper” – at first all you’re doing is replenishing your magnesium (in which we’re ALL deficient) then you should start to reap the benefits once you’re topped up, zero body odour, dead skin shedding, skin fungus die-off……………. And beauty sleep!!!!!
I’m wondering how @steve toon taxi driver & @bigviking are getting on……………………… hopefully enjoying maintenance!!!!!
The weather is on the turn, so It’s feeling a little chilly here & I’ve just noticed all of the Union Jacks along the High Street…………………………….. must be in preparation for this weekend’s FA cup final!!!!! Hhmmmm???
