    Oh no @merryapple, are you saying it’s too late in life for me to start weight training!? How can I decrease weights if I don’t have a starting point?

    Day 16 (N)FD UK

    Awake bright and early today, lots going round in my head. My planned FD yesterday fell apart at the seams and haven’t had any movement on the scales this week. Not sure I’ll get another FD in until Tuesday so hopefully 3 CDs will help. Any tops/tricks welcome 😊

    @stitchincarol so pleased you have a new baby to love. Grandchildren fill a place in your heart you didn’t know existed.

    A good FD yesterday, according to the scales anyway. 1.6 kg down from Wednesday morning! 💪

    @woosoo – sorry to hear your FD didn’t happen. Can’t think of any tips & tricks off hand. Maybe just ask yourself why it didn’t pan out? Did you plan what you would eat in advance? Did you have KitKats or other temptations lurking in your kitchen? Were you accosted by a blueberry muffin whilst walking past a bakery? 🤔

    @flourbaby – Bo-Bo weighs 6 kgs?! Almost as heavy as baby Mae?! 😅 Boo Boo was 4 kgs last time I weighed her, probably a bit lighter after her recent stint at the cattery 😿

    @merryapple – I went through a brief apple cider vinegar phase sometime in the 90’s, but it didn’t agree with me, & my stomach was like a washing machine. I obviously overdid it though. Maybe I should’ve read something like this – How To Drink Apple Cider Vinegar Safely

    @funshipfreddie, I couldn’t get the Mail+ article, but the other one was interesting, I used to use ACV regularly, now I tend to just splash a bit on my salad, rather than chug it diluted through a straw. I might revisit the habit. Yes I know, he’s a bit chunky, the vet is constantly advising me to get him to lose weight, an adult male should be around 5kg, but I think he might have a second home somewhere (despite his weary unfriendly nature!) as he gets his regulation ½ cup of dried food in the morning and a single sachet of wet food at night!! I think he’s just big boned!!🤣🤣🤣

    @merryapple, no rugby for me, but I tore my ACL 95% about 18 years ago. The medics👨🏼‍⚕️ offered an op to repair it with the added bonus of arthritis in 10 years or allow it to heal itself …………………. And get arthritis in 15years!! 😢😱😞. I opted for self-healing and arthritis came knocking EXACTLY 15 years later!!😲 Hence my reluctance to ski …………………… you need good knees for that!!

    Ok @penz, I get where you’re coming from!! No doubt you used to get into your vroom-vroom for the daily commute, rather than the choo-choo and certainly not a zoom-zoom!!!🤣🤣

    Day 15 – USA/GA – NFD

    Weigh-in: 228 lbs. Eww! This is bad going into the weekend — I could cross into 230s territory again. Bleck! Well, with the interruptions this week, it really doesn’t surprise me. Next week is a little more normal, so maybe I can keep the fallout from this week, and the one to come at the end of the month, at a minimum.

    Day 15 – Rural Nebraska, USA – NFD

    Yesterday’s WF fell apart in the evening–there was too much going on and I was weary and overwhelmed and hungry and sad, and I capitulated. C’est la vie.

    It’s 8:10am and I’m dressed in my funeral blacks with pumps and ready to walk out the door. DH had a mole removed two weeks ago and the doctor wants to dig deeper, so that happens this afternoon after he spends the morning comforting others at the funeral. There’s simply too much going on in our lives, LOL.

    Tonight we go out to dinner to recharge with a slow pace and pampering.

    Thanks for all the congratulations and comments on the lovely name. She was born on her great-grandpa’s birthday, who died on her dad’s birthday, who married our daughter almost 9 years ago on the same great-grandpa’s (and great-grandma’s) 64th wedding anniversary…follow that?? 🤣🤣🤣

    Some months just don’t want to let me go down and stay down… I did have bean soup y’day, which is well salted…
    A polar blast of wind from the Antarctic 🇦🇶 has pushed the hot air from Oz away so it’s a porridge morning at 15C.
    Haha @penz 🤣 Forget the🏋️‍♀️and go for tone💪🦵🫀🫁🧠!!! What fun – a wedding! Not a MAFS one I take it – the Oz programme has invaded our shores filled with flawed but TVgenic people on it…

    I would never drink neat ACV or my Kombucha… Far too acidic! I can’t believe people do…
    I couldn’t access the weight training article but certainly cardio training changes with age from huge sweaty workouts to a light repetitive gentle sweat…
    @flourbaby I hear you on the ACL/skiing issue.
    I love your Hippocrates walking quote! Maybe you and @penz need a discussion with tap tap, clop clop or flip flop rather than Choo Choo🤣
    @woosoo My advice is to stay the course and be consistent – weight loss will happen. If you throw in the towel it won’t! Occasionally I do an extra FD if I’ve been out for dinner etc. I tend to focus on carbs for breakfast and lunch (for energy) and protein+ for dinner without carbs (for repair). I do my fast til 4pm and break it with a boiled egg and/or an apple which helps with the urge to eat everything in sight and gets me through to dinner time. I also eat earlier on FDs. I try to keep it simple. There are lots here who have busier ‘food lives’ than me and do all sorts of interesting manoeuvres!!
    @northgeorgia I always find chilli beans hold onto weight for several days afterwards so fingers crossed with a natural course of events and you will come ⬇️
    @stitchincarol It’s one thing being busy with happy things but sad things😢. Take care and be gentle on yourself.
    Having to repeat mole excisions to get clear margins is v common. It’s happened twice to me. Enjoy your quiet evening together.

    Day 15 USA (Illinois) NFD

    I had to jump in and announce the 8 YEAR Anniversary of my beginning 5:2, Ides of March, 2016. Over the next 9-10 months I lost 40 pounds and have kept 35 of them off in maintenance.

    The house is nearly done, but a new build has an incredible number of steps, decisions, etc. Crazy trying to do that, run our Choral Society, volunteer at our Children’s Museum, and clean out a house we have lived in for 35 years. Whew.

    Hang in there, Fellow Fasters. I hope to be back to join you faithfully in the future!

    Day 16 – South Africa 🇿🇦 – NFD

    My ears are ringing after just listening to one of my neighbours for what seemed like an eternity 🤯 Virtually every Saturday morning she phones to tell me she can’t get her TV & decoder working. It’s her care-worker’s day off. Which is no problem, it takes me a few seconds to sort it out. Then she wants to pay me ‘for my time’. But then it’s impossible to leave, she talks non-stop, & I finish up listening to the same stories for at least 20 minutes. By this time Boo Boo has usually found her way in, so I finish up chasing her around the house to catch her before I can leave. Her care-worker deserves a medal. Shame, maybe she’s just lonely 😞

    @songbirdme – congratulations on your 8 year 5:2 anniversary & for keeping off those 35 lbs! 🥳️🥂

    I am still here with the fasters, just not posting much! Congratulations to you, @stichincarol, on arrival of Baby Mae. She is a good sized baby for an early arrival! I hope you get to enjoy her company soon.
    @flourbaby, perhaps the good-sized BoBo is one of the cats coming to eat food on my porch from time to time. I always thought it was hard to over feed a cat, but not so!
    @funshipfreddie, you are a good neighbor. I think we can tell that Boo-Boo is a very sneaky creature at times!
    @penz, I have been pretty consistent in watching my intake over the past month, and weight is down 7 # since mid January. It appears if I avoid my beloved bread and pasta, over which I have very little self-control, I can actually shift some weight. Considerably more to come off before the “featherbed in the middle” appearance changes, though!

    Hi all , I’m back from my travels , will catch up on posts over the weekend and start gearing up to get back to f800 Monday

    Day 16 – USA/GA – NFD

    Weigh-in: 226 lbs. Not sure how I dropped two pounds eating chicken and ice cream cake last night, but here we are. Of course, it might be waiting for today to show up haha! Anyway, I’m hoping for a B2B FD Sunday and Monday. Got to do what I can next week because Palm Sunday through Easter is a BUST! Looks like I might even be hosting Easter dinner.

    OK, chili 🙂

    Ingredients:
    2 lbs lean ground meat (best if you mix two types: beef, chicken, pork, sausage, turkey, wild game, etc)
    2 med onions, chopped/diced
    About 40 oz. beans (kidney, pinto, cannellini, great northern, etc.; I usually use two regular cans, drained)).
    About 40 oz. chopped tomatoes (I usually use a huge can and a regular can).
    2-3 cloves of garlic, minced
    2 tbsp butter
    1 1/2 tsp salt
    3/4 tsp baking soda
    1 large dried Mexican Guajillo chile pepper, seeded, deveined, chopped or pulverized
    1-4 Chipotles, depending on heat (taste to tell), seeded, deveined, chopped or pulverized (note: I usually leave larger chunks of the Guajillo and smaller pieces of Chipotles).
    8 sprigs of cilantro, chopped
    1 tbsp Cumin
    1/4 tsp Onion Powder
    1/4 tsp Garlic Powder
    1/4 tsp Paprika
    Salt and pepper to taste

    Mix 2 lbs of ground meat with 1 1/2 tsp of salt and 3/4 tsp baking soda. Let meat rest for 20 minutes before browning on stove top. While meat is resting, saute 2 chopped onions and the minced garlic in butter. Brown the meat and drain any fat. Crumble if desired, or leave in chunks if you prefer larger chunks of meat in your chile. Add all cooked ingredients to slow cooker and add beans, spices, peppers, cilantro, and tomatoes. Mix well. Slow cook for 8 hours.

    Chili will be more of a stew and chunky than soupy.

    I cooked a lamb roast last night for friends. Yum!! So today sadly is a FD… This month is not quite coming together for me… especially as Easter is coming up and I’m going away with friends!!!

    Back home after a long day of travel yesterday. Gee this country is big! 

    @merryapple – I’m also not having a controlled month (despite my best intentions). So am kicking off the week with my regular Monday and planning the rest of the week. I’m very tempted to ask what you do for a sour dough starter, but I fear that will unleash @flourbaby and @excelsior12309’s inner dragon…

    I started the day with a power walk up Mount Eden with a tall friend who has never been overweight. I think she was a wee bit shocked when I split from her and got to the top well ahead of her! I have got over my embarrassment of looking like a belong to John Cleese’s Ministry of Silly Walks when I take loping strides accompanied by swinging arms…
    I eventually decided to do my usual Monday FD since I had only had cups of tea. Now it’s 4 pm and I’ll have my FD breaking boiled egg…
    @penz I have been making sourdough bread for nearly 20 years. I have had the same starter all that time despite nearly starving it to death on several occasions esp when out of the country. I love giving starters away, which is an insurance plan in case I ever lost mine! It originally came from San Francisco but I’m sure has acclimatised to the local flora and fauna by now! I use the percentage method to make bread now because I can make any sized loaf by varying the flour: water: starter ratios.
    There is so much on the internet about sourdough. I would pick a good bread baker like http://www.globalbaker.com or a good restaurant recipe https://rosellerie.com/tartine-sourdough or https://www.foodandwine.com/recipes/sourdough-boule
    There are sooo many experts out there especially self proclaimed men who feed you endless rules…
    Sourdough is in fact very forgiving and I think the most important thing is to get the timing right so the bread is not under or over proved. After that it’s the moisture content – the wet nature of the dough. Water turns to steam during cooking making the big holes.
    If you decide to go ahead, which I highly recommend, let me know!!! It makes the best crunchy toast!!!

    Excellent FD yesterday, but I really lost the plot on Saturday. Maybe I’ll do better now I’m finally free of all the junk my friends left in the fridge 😒 I’m resolving to log EVERYTHING on MFP from today, NFDs included 💪

    @ccco – that’s odd, that you can’t open the articles. Have you tried to do it on a phone or other gadget?

    It’s been a busy carb fuelled weekend!! I was invited to a birthday celebration meal (3 of us have had B’days in the last month) but it was at a pasta restaurant, not an Italian restaurant but a restaurant that only serves freshly handmade pasta!! No swerving carbs for me!!! Anyway, it wasn’t anything special and thank goodness it’s over, back on the low carb wagon! Although, I think the ‘sourdough makes the best crunchy toast’ comment is awakening the dragon!!!🍞🤤🤤 RESOLVE!!!!

    @funshipfreddie, these Mail+ articles baffle me, I’m not sure what articles are in the regular Mail if the interesting ones have to be subscribed to!!😡

    @merryapple, I would love to see you on your morning walk!!! Walking is walking, silly or not!!! I hope the rain (wettest February since records began😲) stays away so I can actually get out and about more.🚶🏼‍♀️🚶🏼‍♀️

    KOKO folks, we can do this!!! I’ve planned my FD meals for Day 19 & 21, I need to be a bit more organised in future as I tend to be flapping around the day before a FD even though it’s usually the same 4 or 5 meals on rotation!!😁

    Delighted for the good news @stitchincarol and your DH mole removal sounds very familiar my DH has had many procedures, in his case the damage probably goes back to his childhood we just weren’t aware of the dangers of sun damage back then , hope all is well

    Weigh-in: 229 lbs. Only myself to blame for that! @funshipfreddie It was a passive aggressive request; I could have put my foot down and said, “no,” but I would have gotten some looks the rest of the afternoon, as my brother’s family were out and about, including at a restaurant. She usually goes with them, but not when it’s an all day affair. I knew something was up when she wanted to ride with me to take off the garbage! lol

    Wish I had just stuck to my guns, but anyway, here we are. I’ll do a FD today and probably again on Wednesday.

    Day 18 – UK – FD800

    I truly fell off the wagon this month but going to pull myself back on by attempting a Monday to Friday FD800 🤞and aiming for a strong next 2 weeks end this challenge feeling positive!

    Starting with a clean slate today and ignoring what went with my overindulgence of food and wine over the last 2 weeks 🫣

    I have had an emotionally charged last 2 weeks – I lost a dear friend to cancer – all happened way too fast and time needed to absorb – she was 5 years younger than me……..
    Also my next door neighbour has succumbed to Alzheimer’s – such a horrible disease, we really lost her a year or so ago – 2 of the older ladies from the group I volunteer with every Wednesday afternoon have also passed away as did the husband of one of the volunteers (another who sadly had been lost to Alzeimers some time ago)
    All of this did get me thinking that I need to look after myself and regain my health markers……

    For us 🏉 lovers the weekend provided some great entertainment

    Adding myself to today’s pocket list for motivation and support – OMAD Brunch eaten and only drinks factored in on MFP for the rest of the day – Coffee catch up with the girls at 2pm then evening Yoga 🧘 6-7.30 and an early night should keep me on track for today

    Day 18 – Rural Nebraska, USA – NFD – 163.0

    I’m really proud of this morning’s weight; I ate “reasonably” yesterday, and the scales reflect that. I toyed with various nibbles all day long, and each time, thought, “No, I don’t actually want that.” Today I will keep busy and tonight we’re going down to Lincoln to have supper with the boys, so that will give me every opportunity to eat reasonably today as well, and perhaps OMAD–we’ll see.

    Did I mention I had a funeral to play for on Saturday also? It was at another church a half hour away (their organist was unavailable) and is a lovely and very old pipe organ (as opposed to the electronic organ at my own church). So all in all, it was a swamped week and weekend, and DH and I spent the entire afternoon yesterday on the sofa, and the tv wasn’t even on. I read, he napped. It was recharging time we both desperately needed, and it worked. Plus, thankfully, the craziness seems to have cleared and we can simply be busy from now to Easter. 😂 Oh, and the mole on DH’s back needed several stitches once it was cut out, but the doctor said he was certain there was nothing to worry about, it was merely a precaution to ensure everything was fine and nothing would spread; thanks for all the good wishes from you all.

    @at I’m so sorry for the sudden loss of your friend, and for the loss of your fellow Wednesday volunteers. ❤️

    @songbirdme Congratulations on your 8 years of maintenance; that is a BIG deal! And I thought of you often in the first half of that basketball game when we were soundly defeating you. And again in the second half, when I thought, “Well, at least Gwynne is happy” as your team soundly defeated mine! 😳😂

    @funshipfreddie You are indeed a wonderful, kind, and sweet neighbor. The woman whose funeral I played on Friday was a talker like your neighbor, and you’d NEVER have escaped after a mere 20 minutes from her, LOL!!! DH would go visit her and come home shaking his head in awe that she could go from one topic to another seamlessly and talk straight for an hour and a half!

    @brightonbelle Welcome back! And as to @flourbaby‘s KOKO, I was equally flummoxed…then wondered if it was “kay-oh-kay-oh”….maybe? I look forward with you to the explanation!

    I am nearly done with a third giraffe (and the next-to-tallest one, at that) and cut out another one last night, so as soon as this is posted and I’ve done a few other morning chores, I’m going in to sew. When I’m sitting on the sofa feeling the pressure of needing to finish the quilt, I feel overwhelmed, but when I get in there and am sewing, I simply feel contentment. My handle is appropriate. 😉❤️👍

    Day 19 NZ FD 74.4kg

    My number reflects being ’empty’ rather than genuine weight loss after B2B FDs. I began today with toast and marmalade then oats, seeds, sultanas and yoghurt all accompanied by three cups of loose leaf tea brewed in the teapot… I feel so full it hurts… It’s a lovely autumn day. I’ll go for a walk when my stomach feels better!! My girlfriend calls this situation a “dinner baby”!!

    l’m happy to hear you managed a calm recharge day which included stitching!!
    I spent y’day evening on TV/Youtube listening to Howlin’ Wolf, Charlie Mingus, Miles Davis, Etta James and other early blues and jazz artists. There are old B&W clips of them playing in small clubs which are superb to watch. When I went to bed I had the best sleep I’ve had for such a long time.

    @at Farewelling friends to death and dis-ease is never easy. You’re so right to use them as a catalyst for your health. I’m sure they wouldn’t want it any other way. My family history for long life is great but keeping one’s marbles at the same time, not so good…

    I didn’t like my FD. I need to do better, so tomorrow is another WFD. I am going to try ADF because it doesn’t seem so hard for me. As long as I don’t eat anything, for some reason, I am not hungry. I will see.

    My FD yesterday just didn’t. OH and I were out and about in the evening and on a whim decided to pop into our fave Japanese restaurant to see if they had a spare table. They did. The rest you can imagine for yourselves! (But, in my defence, I did not have any vino or sake – just water, with our delicious meal, so some semblance of restraint remained!)

    Thanks for the sour dough tips, @merryapple. I will be sure to let you know if I venture down that path. At the moment, I have rather a successful Turkish flat bread recipe I’ve been using and I feel like I’d be tempting fate to try something new.

    KOKO – perhaps just a mistype of OKOK?

    Thinking of you and your recent losses, @at – very close to home.

    C’mon, @flourbaby, @northgeorgia, @at, @ccco. There are still two weeks left in this month and that is plenty of time to defray the wobbles we’ve been experiencing (me included). RESOLVE!

    @flourbaby – I’m not sure what you mean about the UK Mail articles? I’ve never subscribed to any of them. As far as I know they’re free – including the app – due to the trillion ads that come with them. I’m not familiar with ‘KOKO’ either, so I Googled it & came up with – ‘Hanabiko “Koko” (July 4, 1971 – June 19, 2018) was a female western lowland gorilla. Koko was born in San Francisco Zoo.’ I think this is the gorilla that was famous for being taught sign language 🤔

    @ccco – I think most of us experience that, i.e. eating triggers hunger. Which is why it’s easy for most fasters to skip breakfast. And eating one meal later in the day on FDs works for me.

    ‘New research suggests intermittent fasting could in fact be damaging to long-term health.’ But we know how these things go. Next week there will be two studies suggesting fasting is the best thing you can do for your health.     Good to be back but five super busy days and a lb for each fay can you believe that! I’m not going to dwell… but it drives home how important it is to make the right choices. It’s been very much a family weekend and I have no regrets. Thanks for the thoughts.

    Tuna salad for today’s FD, divided over 2 meals it should be a winner!!

    Sometimes, you’ve just got to Keep On Keeping On @brightonbelle!! And the prize goes to @jaifaim, I’m glad I managed to baffle a few of you🤣🤣🤣, I have to admit it was a lengthy Google search for me the first time I saw it written down!!!😁

    @at, sad, sad times for you🙏🏼. Try not to lose your ‘SELF’, as you know, your mantra is one of my favourites. DO NOT FORGET IT!!!!………………. “If I quit now, I will soon be back to where I started. And when I started, I was desperately wishing to be where I am now” It has truly been an uphill struggle for me having quit, now I’m doing my best to get back to where I was!!😢😢 If only I had nipped the downhill slide in the bud earlier!!

    @funshipfreddie, I’m always scared of revealing too much, but I guess yesterday is yesterday for all of us, so I got yesterday’s Wordle in two ……….. but I can’t remember what it was!!! I recall I chose the least likely last letter, but that’s it!!! 🙄🙄 I’ll do today’s at bedtime, it’s my nightly ritual! I guess the Mail is free in SA, and you don’t have Mail+, here, a lot of the articles are in the Mail+ which is subscription only ……………… Nonsense!!!

    No doubt there’s a financial gain to promoting the eat, eat, eat more mentality, for someone, somewhere!!! We need to ignore the noise & KOKO!!!😁😁

    Weigh-in: 225 lbs. Good FD yesterday, but I’m sick. My throat was a little sore yesterday and got worse by the evening. I talked myself out of going to the doctor yesterday afternoon, as I thought it could be from allergies, but it’s still really sore this morning. So, I’ll go for a strep test today. My sickness in February threw me off. Can’t fast next week because of all the events going on, including a conference with formal lunches and dinners, so, I’ll just see what I can manage for the rest of the week. *sigh*

    Day 19 – Rural Nebraska, USA – WFD

    DH and I went to a lovely brew pub for a beer yesterday and I’m not surprised that my weight is up a full pound this morning–beer has been doing that to me for several years, so I no longer drink it often, but sure enjoyed it yesterday!

    Oooo! @jaifaim, I’m voting for your KOKO guess!!!

    Yesterday was so lovely, spending several hours in my sewing room (more than halfway done with 4th of 6 giraffes), helping distribute food from the Lincoln Food Bank truck, and then down to see our sons. Today is a return to reality where I’m on the go all day, and on top of that my lower back is truly aching; I’m guessing the boxes I was lifting when handing out food were simply too heavy for my muscles? I’ve popped some Advil (ibuprophen) so imagine I will feel fine soon.

    So with that gloomy conclusion, I’m off to be productive. LOL!

    Sky News yesterday mentioned the dodgy Chinese study on IF:- Dr Pam Taub, a cardiologist at UC San Diego Health, told Sky News’ US partner NBC News: “It’s a retrospective study looking at two days’ worth of data, and drawing some very big conclusions from a very limited snapshot into a person’s lifestyle habits.”
    She added her patients have seen “incredible benefits” from fasting regimens, before concluding: “I would continue doing it. For people that do intermittent fasting, their individual results speak for themselves.
    “Most people that do intermittent fasting, the reason they continue it is they see a decrease in their weight. They see a decrease in blood pressure. They see an improvement in their LDL cholesterol.”

    Tomorrow’s a public holiday here – Human Rights Day. But I WILL be on the pocket list 🎯

    A goodish FD yesterday… but not good enough to repair the weekend damage but I’ll continue the good work this week and feeling a little off so it may be easier than usual.. busy too which will help.
    I’m on the list again … will aim for 500 and see how I go.

    Day 20 – UK – FD800

    I meant to say on Day 18 that I would be doing alternate FD800 days during the week until the end of the month to help get back on track…….I think I would find consecutive FD800 a bit difficult to start with at the moment…….the weekends………we will have to see………

    We had some drama with our regular walking group yesterday – a friend of someone joined us for the first time and unfortunately slipped and fell and ended up in hospital having broken both her wrists – one will need surgery the other will be in a plaster cast until healed 🫣 🥲 She was amazing stoic about the whole thing – I did think that the right wrist was definitely broken but had hoped that the other was only sprained…such a shame….some of the group went ahead to get the cars as close as possible and 3 of us walked slowly with her. Luckily we were doing a low level walk and even though the weather was dry with some sunshine, it was very wet and muddy underfoot……we got to the cars eventually without any more mishaps. We all felt terrible for the pour lady who now has weeks of recovery ahead without the use of her hands 🥲

    We have planned an Easter afternoon tea for the group I volunteer for every Wednesday afternoon as it’s our last one before the Easter break, I have made a Simnel cake (it looks good so🤞it tastes OK as it’s my first attempt!!!) There will be sandwiches, mini scones, cake selection……

    Luckily when I’m serving food I tend to lose my own appetite so I should be able to stick to my FD800 – planning on an evening OMAD

    Day 20-No. VA USA-FD 800
    Joining the fasters for today. Weight has been stable or inching downward a few ounces per day. I have avoided alcohol for the most part for the past few weeks (except at my husband’s birthday dinner on the 9th). I think that helps; I agree with @stichincarol that it is amazing how a glass of beer or two causes the (water retention) weight gain over night.

    @at I have a friend whose adult daughter fell at the gym last month and broke both her wrists; she has been in casts; needs help with all “activities of daily living” such as showering, etc, etc. Incredibly disabling for the time period!
    @stichincarol, I hope your back is better. That kind of pain is also so disabling. And @northgeorgia, NO strep for you, I hope!
