Just starting out, managed to fail at 550 calories!

  • Ok so I’ve started this diet and it’s my second fast day and I’ve gone over by 50 calories! Any ideas what I can do I feek like I’ve failed at the first hurdle lol

    Eat less tomorrow

    Hi Emma, I would just draw a line under it and return to plan next time. I don’t think you should see yourself as a failure. I think Michael says if you get nearer 600 cals will just take longer to lose the weight. Good luck!

    Its not a fail at all – its all a work in progress and it takes a while to get into the groove and know whats best for you – if you reduce your calories a bit tomorrow you will be back on track! Well done, 550 calories is great going and it will get easier – my first 3 or 4 FDs were brutal but now 2 months in I find them easier although not easy!!!

    Why don’t you get My fitness pal – an app for your phone?
    It really helped me to stay on track at first.
    Keep going – it does really work and before long it’ll be second nature.

    It’s not a failure, 50 calories is equal to half a biscuit. I always aim to be under 500 but sometimes it’s anything up to 600. You could always knock a few calories off tomorrow if you want.

    I would honestly try to relax, 50 cals over is nothing. It’s way less than you would normally eat so congratulate yourself and give yourself a break 🙂 If you do still feel like you’ve over eaten, then just make up for it the following day.
