  • Hi all, sorry I keep disappearing. I’m having one of those headachy months, and my brain is scrambled. wishing everyone a good week. Phyllis

Hi, how’s everyone doing? we are getting ready for Thanksgiving. Baking and cooking. Kinda think it might be one fast day this week. although after most likely over eating on Thurs. a fast day might be welcomed.:) hope everyone is having a great week. Phyllis

    Hi Phyllis,
I am struggling in the chill to cope with fast days. I am also thinking of reducing them to one a week as I may have reached the right size/weight for me, without losing the curves or looking too old!

    Enjoy Thanksgiving.

    Hi all-
Phyllis, hope you feel better, and am ccoking today too.

Hi, Annette, I do think it’s harder to fast in cold weather. much easier with salads and such in summer I think. But I do love soups, and tend to do them as much as possible. you are REALLY close to you goal, you might be where your body wants to be, at least for now. I’m with you on the not looking older, and curves. I’ve always been fairly curvy, kinda hourglass shaped, so I doubt I will ever be too skinny. 🙂 good luck with the rest of the week. hugs

Hi Piper, I’m doing better thanks. I made pies today with hubby’s help. only a couple more things to do tomorrow. Hope you have a great day. hugs Phyllis

Hello everyone, I’ve hit the wall for today. It looks like a winter wonderland outside. I keep hearing that cold is good for weight loss, makes the metabolism go up, but it’s sure hard on my mood sometimes.

When I started this in January, I ate an awful lot of soup in the extended winter that we had last year. It quite put me off. I have soup at work sometimes, for lunch and then really don’t want it in the evening too.

I too am an hourglass shape and although there is a lot less of me, my goal was never to be skinny but a healthy size/weight/shape for my short self.

Fasting through the summer was easy with a steady supply of salad in warm days.I am just going to have to get myself a bit more organized and inspired for fast days.I am now giving myself this week off and will see where I am at the weekend.

I have always found the winter tough and although I am colder, I can move much faster now that I am not lugging 10Kgs!

Yes that’s one of the benefits of weight loss: physical activity is much easier and if you want to go further and/or faster this too is more easily achieved.

Happy Thanksgiving to Phylis and Family ……….and everyone in USA, enjoy your day.

I suppose old pre slim clothes would work as a pair of Joey’s Thanksgiving pants.
I’m going to celebrate TG too, Indian for dinner tonight.

Lucky for me that my fast day dietary ingredients are not seasonal, but that is by the by, rye bread bakin’in the good ole breadmachine, will smell yummy when I’m back from my curry foraging.

Maybe some people should do just maintenance for winter – whole point is to have a happier lifestyle, no point in damaging food relationship. Good luck.

    Hi Annette,

You have really done well, to continue for 10 months is really good going and loosing all that weight.

Maybe now is the time for you to take it easy and maybe take a re think were you want to be in the New Year. December for all of us will be hard time with Xmas meals, dinner and dances ( if you are lucky) everybody will be pushing forward again with new goals in January.

    Good Luck

thanks Piper for the good wishes, sorry you are having a bad day. do something nice for yourself today.

Annette, as another vertically challenged person I can certainly relate. I hope you enjoy your week off. I know you probably did get tired of soup after a whole winter.

whoops got to run, the kitchen timer just beeped at me. wishing everyone a great day. Phyllis

    Hi Everyone,
Happy Thanksgiving to all of those across the pond.

It has been a really interesting journey so far. I never ever believed that I could do this or actually lose weight on the 5:2. The before and after photos of Micheal were a huge encouragement to me to keep going.

So here I am with a bust 3″/8cms less(mainly back fat), waist 5″/13cms less, hips 4″/10.5cms less, each thigh 3″/8cms less, calves 1.5″/4.5cms and under bust 2″/5.5cms less. I am delighted that all of my winter tights are much too big and slide down, that sleeves on jumpers may be a bit loose and that I look in much better shape.

I am still stunned that the 5kg bag of rice that I struggled to carry in one arm home from the shops, represents just half of the weight that I have lost!

I found it really hard to get back to the fasting when I had a month off for the half, so I may try one day for the next few weeks and just see what happens.I am completely undecided and will probably make a decision on a whim.

I think that it will be good idea to review the situation in January.

Piper, how was your Thanksgiving? Hope you had a great day.

Annette, you have done so well!!! it’s interesting when you have a visual(and hands on) representation of the weight you have lost (and the rice was only half) I think you are right thinking of only a day a week for a bit and review in Jan. only you know what is right for you,and you will figure it out.

I think I will be happy if I don’t gain during the holidays. I not going to stress over it. I did find that even with all the holiday food today, I was able to stop easily before I overdid it too much( I think. LOL )

Oh, have to share this. my daughter who has been doing 5:2 also had a big announcement this morning. she started out in the mid 180’s which was very hard for her as she always been skinny until recently. she hasn’t lost a lot of weight, been gaining and losing 2 lbs over and over. until today, she just made it into the 170’s !!!! even though she hasn’t lost lots of lbs. she has lost several inches, over 4 in her waist. she is quite happy with this WOE.

sending wishes for a great day. Phyllis

Phyllis, it was good. When I said I hit the wall, I was talking about being too tired to continue, rubber legs. I always expect 13 people, but it turned into 20, which I like but it was a marathon of preparation- clean, dust, sweep, cook, dice-
chop chop! I could tell Annette was having trouble with the cold, had already been there- she’s been doing this for months and has four boys- talk about a marathon, to say nothing about her actual running! So today was easier, the hard stuff was done.
Happy for your daughter- tell her I’ve been losing the same two pounds for weeks!

    Hi Everybody,

I lost 1 lb today and hubby stayed the same….so 2 lb to go.

    1st July 2013, our Measurements,

Me at 5″.7″…bust 2″ loss, waist 4 1/2 loss, hips 3 1/2″ loss, top of legs 2″ off one 3″ off the other, BMI 28.7 down to 25.7.

Hubby at 5.10″…waist 8″ loss, BMI 31.7 down to 28.6.

I think we are slowing down a bit but we will still push on as it’s a on going progress. New targets will be made in the New Year for us.

The weather is dark and dismal and I think it is getting to everybody. The newspapers in UK this morning say we are in for a big freeze for three months something to look forward to! Salads and keeping on with excerise might be a problem.

Well done for your daughters weight loss Phylis…ours has joined with us and is also doing well but she does have a few naughty things on Fast Days but seems to get away with it !

Good Luck to you all….even the ones taking a break..
    X

Oh, Piper, I know all about that wall. LOL. we say we ran into a wall, and it fell on us. 🙂 wow, 20 people!!! no wonder you were exhausted! we started prep on tues, so yesterday wasn’t too bad, of course there was only the 3 of us. I’ll tell Deidre that you, too, have been dealing with the return of the two lbs. LOL.

wow, Symba, you two are doing great. I can relate about the cold. it’s been down into the teens here, and our old house hasn’t much insulation. I’m usually under a couple of cats and a quilt. LOL.

    good fasting all. Phyllis

    Hello All,
I too have gained and lost the same 2 lb over the past 7 weeks, post half.So I am up 1 lb from last week.

However, last week I lost another inch off my waist and this week I seem to have lost an inch off each thigh! I knew that there was a definite change in shape and wanted to make sure that it was the same part that I was measuring….and it is.

Three trips to the osteopath have meant little running for the past few weeks, but although my hip is sore I will be dancing tonight(big do and missed 2 with either neck/back or hip). No desire to run in a chilly 6C anyway.

Morning fast friends! Sorry to hear about your sore hip Annette and hope you are able to dance tonight without discomfort.

Managed my fast days ok this week – the trick seems to be to have some distraction to hand when you hit a bit of a pang. Phone a friend! That certainly worked for me on thursday afternoon.

My progress is steady but not dramatic. I’m only taking measurements for waist and hips – although at the gym they are measuring my fat levels but I havent had that done for a while. I only seem to have lost less than a lb this week, despite fast days and two 5k runs as well as the gym and dog walking. But as long as I’m heading in the right direction, Im not worried.

I’ve been recording my weight and measurements on MyFitnessPal and it is quite interesting to see the weight graph over different periods of time. I’ll be interested to see if there is any hormonal link to the plateaus or reductions in weight loss.

At least I’ve got to the point where I need a belt for my jeans (hurrah) and one or two people are noticing that I’m slimmer. Spurs you on through the fast days – although I agree, fasting is tougher in cold weather. I’m sure the body craves golden syrup sponge and various comfort foods when winter comes along.

I have 2lb to lose before Christmas, if Im going to keep to my target of reaching 10 stone by then. I wondered if that would be light enough but unfortunately Im apple shaped and am still carrying too much round my middle. Seems that the fat you most want to lose is the stuff that lingers longest! So in the New Year Im going to try to get down to my pre-children weight of 9 1/2 stone, or thereabouts, but will probably be guided more by my waist/tummy size than by the scales.

But congratulations to all of you who have reached – or are very close to – your target weight! Will you still fast once a week? And will we hear from you, from time to time, on the forum?

Have a great weekend, whereever you are!

    Hi reluctant tasker,
I’m apple shaped too and have lots of fat on my belly. I’d hate to see one of those body scans that measures visceral fat! I’m trying 3 days fasting next week as I am not loosing and have sabotaged my fast days last week so am determined.

    On my fridge I have a note which gives the reasons as to why I’m doing 5;2 and eating the PAleo way. I read it to remind myself why I’m doing what I’m doing which is basically as follows;
My late dad loved his food and was totally uncontrolled around it. By his 50’s he had hypertension, high cholesterol and type 2 diabetes. By his 70’s he’d had 3 heart attacks, had altzheimers and eventually renal failure. despite his blood sugars being around 32 at one point he wouldn’t modify his diet and overeating killed him, oh I forgot the gout too.

As my grandfather had the same diseases they’re familial and I’m determined not to go down that route. I loathe my flabby belly. so just typing these reasons or reading it on my fridge stops me overeating

    Have a good weekend

I am trying to reach the 10 stone goal too(it was 9 stone 11) but given up on that! However, I thought that it would cheer up those of you, who like me seem to lose/gain those 2 lbs……..to know that I am still shrinking.

Really interesting to have a friend stay that I haven’t seen for a couple of years. She has piled on the weight, probably 2/3 stone since I saw her last. She hasn’t once made any comment that I look slimmer since her arrival yesterday.
I am puzzled because there is so much less of me. So does she only see herself and not notice others?

We are going to be in much better shape than our parents.I was hypertensive with aching joints this time last year and found it really hard to run.

I now have a normal BP, low resting pulse due to improvement in fitness and can run a Half. I think that it is so important to remind yourself of what has been achieved and feel really proud, and then remind yourself of that when you are fasting.

    Well Done Everyone!
Off to town to sample the Christmas Market and hopefully an Almond Croissant.

    Hello fast friends,
It’s really good to hear everyone’s news. Keeping going with the change of weather is proving quite a struggle. I didn’t manage any gym sessions this week, still congested and my son has been in hospital unexpectedly this week. I’ve been yo-yo’ing a lot recently and was determined to stick to the plan and was really bloody minded, am not usually so fierce. I’ve weighed this morning and have lost 2lbs which I’m pleased with as it has been hard won. I have around 50lbs to go and I suspect if I’d been close to goal i might have had the same difficulty shifting it as some of you are having. It must be really frustrating. You will get to where you want to be. You inspire me that if I can keep to this WOL I can be successful like you. I wish you all a great weekend wherever in the world you are reading this. We are walking the walk not just talking the talk. Am proud of us all wherever we are on our journey. 🙂

Having weighed myself on Tuesday and dipped under 70kg I had a bit of a ‘bad’ couple of days on weds and thurs, eating at my daughter’s with a few cheeky mulled wines and chocolate, then taking my other daughter out for lunch. I jumped back on it and fasted Friday. Added to which, when I go to visit them I have to miss several fitness classes so fewer calories burned up! Didn’t fancy weighing myself today but I did try on my wedding dress which, wait for it, fit me! Blimey. Also tried a dress on that I fancied wearing at Christmas and that fitted me too. Whoohoo. Loving this ‘diet’ and all the compliments I’m getting at the gym. Someone who stands behind me at my step class said how much weight I’d lost -probably ‘cos I don’t block her view now! Hehe.
    Have a good weekend everyone.

    Well done Sonunda,

Really great getting into your Wedding dress and the Xmas dress, the size counts not weight…although we all chase the scales.

We are going to a reunion from work on Friday, not seen anybody for a year…will anybody notice our weight loss…I will be choosing very carefully what I wear…we was very old and frumpy last year and FAT! Must impress!

It will be a bad month for everyone, even if we go carefully, visiting family and friends. Roll on the New Year get on track again…

    X

How exciting symba! Hope you knock ’em dead. I’ll be seeing people at Christmas whom I haven’t seen for a while-sure hope they notice a difference. Hubby now weighs less than I did when I started this campaign and he’s 6 foot 3 ! I knew there were stomach muscles under there somewhere! : )

    Hi Everyone,

Congratulations to all of us for sticking with this WOL and especially to us Americans for getting thru Thanksgiving.

I was on vacation for a week and only did 1 fast day that week and did a lot of eating too. Then came Thanksgiving with a really big meal and lots of great things to eat. I did go right back to fasting yesterday. Weighted this morning and I am up one pound. Measured and may be down 1/2″ at the waist. Difficult to be sure.

I had to put down one of my old dogs the Tues. before Thanksgiving. She was not ready to go but unless heavily medicated in pain and there was nothing to be done. I did not want to have her suffer over the long Holiday weekend. So this is a good-bye to Scuff, a most kind and gentle soul. I miss you.

    Quick

Quick, so sorry for your loss. I know it doesn’t really make you feel better, but sometimes mercy is the most love you can give. hugs

    Hello Fast Friends,
I managed to dance until midnight on my poor sore hip.

Had to have my very old bunny a couple of weeks ago.I miss her too. But the job of a pet owner is to do what is right for the pet, nothing else is important.

Well done to our friends across the pond on surviving Thanks Giving. Well done on the inches lost and clothes that now look fabulous and those who have managed to make the scales move in the right direction.

I think that I am somewhere between 6lb-10lb to goal. It is getting harder, but I am going to take the pressure off myself and reassess the situation after Christmas.

    Hi Fast Friends,
lovely reading all your news. I am on a fast day today. One of 3 this week. I have somehow managed to put 5lb on!!!!! I was flabbergasted that after getting down to 9st11lb I have weighed 10st 2lb the last few days! I think I’ve had too much chocolate and I make Paleo bread which is almond flour based so I reckon its very calorific, so I will be avoiding it from now on!!

I am going to be very strict . One of the problems is that I have a family at home and I have to cook for them. I do try and give them similar to me, i.e fish or chicken, but theres is jazzed up and with carbs, but I do struggle making a spag bol and not eating it myself, etc. How do those of you with families manage ?

My boys live with me and are 23, 22, 19 and 17. Three have jobs, 2 of which work shifts. The other one is at university so I am catering for a constantly changing number of chaps.

The boys had no idea that I had fast days for about the first 6 months. I never believed that the 5:2 would work and I never wanted food to be an issue. That was January.

My approach has always been to cook myself things that I love and are quick on a fast day (salmon fillet sprinkled with chilli flakes cooked in foil parcel-20 mins). I cook the boys things that I don’t like such as chilli, cauliflower cheese etc on fast days.I always cook for 4 and portion up and freeze the leftovers which feeds the shift-workers before or after their shift.

I love spag bol and now have a fabulous, delicious recipe that I am not ever going to serve on my fast day. That would be madness and make me miserable and resentful.

This has always been about away of life, something that I can maintain forever.

I bake cakes and bread often, but not on a fast day. I put them in a cupboard where I don’t see them and know that I can and will have a piece the next day…if of course, there is any left!

I always cook a roast and pudding on Sunday and really enjoy it.Any help?

Thank you to Piper and Annette,

Somehow, it does help to know that others understand.

    Quick

Hello, fast friends!! Today was my first fast day since Thanksgiving. I only managed one day the week of Thanksgiving. I only lost 0.2 pounds, weighing in before the holiday. I’ve avoided the scales like the plague since then. Ha!!

I also cook for my family & don’t partake. However, as a vegetarian married to & raising meat eaters, my kids are accustomed to seeing me cook & not eat. Since my children are young (9, 7, & 4), I try not to talk much about “dieting” etc. But I see fasting differently & so after a month or two fasting, I felt comfortable explaining myself. Tonight I made chicken spaghetti for everyone….& I love pasta!! But I resisted.

I’m only 9 pounds from my goal weight, but about 4 pounds from a healthy BMI. At 5’6″ with an hourglass figure, most people are shocked when I say I have that weight to lose. But I carry all my weight in my hips & thighs. As long as I continue to lose inches there I don’t give a flip what I weigh.

This week I’m attempting 4:3. I have my husband’s Christmas party Saturday night & some new skinny jeans to wear since we’re going casual this year. And then Sunday night we’re hosting a Christmas party for our group from church. So yes, 4:3 is a must this week!!

Quick, so sorry for your loss. That’s so tough!! Hugs to you.

    And happy fasting all!!

    Piper,
I do understand and thought at the time that the bunny was put down…how awful the loss must be of a dog. The bunny lived outside, so was visited, rather than a constant companion.

mommabear well done.I too have an hourglass figure and at 5ft 1 now have a healthy BMI(construct dreamt up by the US insurance industry) of 26, but I am focusing on the notion that the waist should be less than half your height.

Good luck with the 4:3…….never managed it myself. Tried several times though.

Hello Fast Friends! I’ve been keeping my head down, having had a couple of weeks with no weight loss and felling slightly grumpy, but I doggedly stuck to the program . And guess what? On Saturday I’d lost 3ibs and made it to my first goal of 28lbs by end of November. We just need to keep the faith.
Here’s a thought that spontaneously occurred to me while I was out enjoying the Christmas markets: what I have achieved is the BEST Christmas present I could have given myself. I hope this will continue to inspire me and all my fast friends. We deserve to be healthy, confident and well and should feel proud that we are doing this for ourselves.

You are absolutely right. It is the best Christmas present to ourselves.

Sadly, I read this after I had scoffed several chocolates!

Well done and many congratulations on reaching the 28 lb goal.

    Hi all,

Aphrodite, was wondering where you where. Great job, will need to get my act together. On the other hand, the day after Thanksgiving, I wore my skinny pants for the first time in more than a year!

Annette- we all know you care. You are supposed to be relaxing a little, so don’t be too sad about the chocolate. Just not too much and all the time! A little rest, a little fun, some work and some play. We all need a balance.

    Hi Aphrodite,

How lovely to reach your 28lbs, very well done. A really lovely Christmas present to yourself.

It makes you realise when reaching a plateau keep focused and it starts moving again. Even if we are grumpy!

    Well done.

Hi Fast Friends, so good to see everyone and hear of your triumphs and challenges. Quick, I’m so sorry about your doggie, I’m glad you know that you did what was right for her. Annette, I’m so sorry that you had to put your bunny down. it’ never an easy decision, but we do it because we love them, and that is our responsibility to them. sending you both a big hug.

well, we survived Thanksgiving. only scheduled one fast day last week. spent the week preparing as much as we could ahead of time. ate too much for comfort and enjoyed every bit of it. by Sunday, we were all sick of food after too many heavy meals, so we threw in a fast day. I only lost .8 lbs, but still a loss, my daughter lost over 2 lbs!! I’m thrilled to say the least.

wishing everyone a great week. Phyllis

Thanks all for your lovely comments. I am so impressed, MM that you lost weight over Thanksgiving. Very inspiring as we head into Christmas. Symba, you are spot on about balance. I thoroughly intend to enjoy the season and will use fasting as damage limitation, knowing it won’t take long to get back on track in the new year. I think it’s being able to do this that makes it a feasible long term, nay permanent way of life. What fun would life be without a few choccies now and then, eh Annette?
Bizarre this morning- I went for a cuppa in the staff room and completely forgot I was fasting today . Before I knew it a piece of spicy tea bread had leapt down my unsuspecting throat! . this was a bit annoying. Anyway I think I’ve managed to allow for it calorie wise, it’s just that I usually fast till evening and avoid carbs so I don’t know how this will impact on my progress this week.

Anyhow, hope you are all having a good week. X

Hi Aphrodite, I couldn’t believe it when I got on the scales. I fully expected to gain. Like you, I’m not putting too much pressure on myself through the holidays. a person needs a few choccies and treats once in a while.

oh, know what you mean about forgetting it’s a fast day. I did the same thing the other day. I got back from my doctors visit and remembered AFTER I had a big cup of coffee with milk and sugar that it was a fast day. Hope your carb fix didn’t mess with your fasting too much. Happy fasting. Phyllis

Going back a couple of months there were a few weeks where I was making food or drink mistakes on nearly every fast day!
Have had 4 very good fast weeks, but last two weeks, exercise has trailed off – I’ve definitely noticed that I’ve just given in to lethargy – yesterday forced myself to get on the treadmill to get my 10k steps and it was really just as easy to do that, as do nothing – so just a state of mind.
In bed in the early hours snoozing watching Ashes cricket and all I can think about is a Facebook post I saw on the fastday just gone, for a gingerbread latte, mince pie and cream for £3 at a local cafe! Goodness me, I can taste it already.

Hi snedger, good for you having 4 good fast weeks! are you in the U.K.? I really think when it get cold and dark, we have a natural tendency to want to hibernate, stay in where it’s hopefully warm and cozy. If you decide to have the latte and mince pie, enjoy every bite!!! I sometimes think that the worst thing we can do is feel guilty when we eat. I think it heads straight to where ever on our body we don’t want it. LOL.

Hope today is a good one. Phyllis

Yes, UK; cold; dark and today – high winds.
So exhausted walking into the wind coming back from shopping that I skipped the gingerbread latte and mince pie.

I’ll have a treat on Saturday.

    Hello Fast Friends,
Thanks for your support. Previously I would have scoffed the plain chocs too(which I don’t like)but I have left them for my boys to eat. Then someone retired at work and rather than have one of an array of cakes that were available, I chose to not have any as I was looking forward to lunch and the pudd!!!!

I am fasting today(trying one day this week and next)and have already eaten my allowance. It has been fine and after several late nights I will have an early night and sleep through the evening.

Tricky weekend ahead on the food front. Involved in filming on Sunday all day, lunch will either be pizza or fish and chips, with cake through the day. Ho hum.

I have no doubt that I have been born the wrong nationality. I need sun, not high winds, rain and dark at 4pm.

Weird time looking at photos of myself when I was 22. I was very slim and desperate for curves.I am much happier with my curves and mindful that skinny is not a look that I want at 52.I think that my right size/shape/weight might be much nearer than I once thought, but will review in January.

    Hi Annette,

I know what you mean I was very thin straight up and down at 20, I do like a few curves. Looking like a woman not a boy! We have to remember our age and can’t turn the clock back too far.

You were very good not taking the cakes, if its not birthdays or retirements at work….very tempting, not for us when retired! shame…..I have a walnut whip ready in my Xmas pile, I have had no chocolate since July, I am very tempted to have one tomorrow as a treat ( fast day today) I will see! Hubby will possibly say No.

Just putting my jeans leather belt on a couple of hours ago, I counted the holes on which I have moved up tighter SIX holes since July, I cut off 4″ off the end. I was pleased but also disgusted how I ever let my self get into such a fat state! Never again.

I shall review my goals in January as I am getting close to my weight, although you see just another 7 lbs….I may just continue and let my weight fall to a plateau of where it decides to level at. Hubby needs to go for another 7 lbs to get nearer to his goal.

Have a lovely weekend it sounds exciting filming…….enjoy………it would be fish and chips for me and cake….

    Cheers Jean

    Hi Jean,
I want to look like a woman, but not an old scrawny one!

The weird thing is I had chosen not to have the cake as I was having a pudding.I could have had both but would rather have the pudding instead. There was a time when I would have had both, but I just didn’t want both. I didn’t feel virtuous, just that I would enjoy the apple strudel far more than a cream cake.

I have chocolate in some shape or form every week and I love it. The difference is that I eat far less and enjoy it much more.

I am quite excited about the filming. All came about as a result of ceroc. It will be fish and chips for me too….and cake.

Wow, amazing loss on the belt and no doubt, every where else too. I wish that I had kept some clothing to ‘see’ the difference. I am quite fascinated to find out how Christmas will be on the food front. Will I eat everything in sight?

    Hi Annette,

I feel it’s a bit of a worry too….my pile of naughty food is growing….we are away for 4 days over Christmas, so have to take everything with us. Will we really eat all of it……….I really don’t know.

I know we can get back on track……but it’s still a worry.

    X

I am thinking – Christmas is only ONE day and on that day we have turkey (super low calorie meat), lots of healthy vegetables and we can also have the trimmings. Then there is the Pudding, brandy butter and cream. We shall also have as much wine as we usually do and open a mountain of presents with the family then sit around the fire and probably fall asleep. We rarely eat much Christmas evening as we have stuffed ourselves earlier so may have stilton and crackers to round off the day.
Boxing Day will be a normal day for us. We will fast on Monday and Friday of that week so it should all be calm and bright!
I have banned any chocolate gifts from family and friends and they know I will be very strict and confiscate any that do arrive (I don’t particularly like chocolate so it will be easy for me 🙂 )
I have stolen someone else’s idea (Yours I think symba) and told my two sons they can bring themselves a small amount of chocolate for their own consumption.
Anyway that is the plan and I will let you know how it pans out 🙂

    Hello Fast Friends,

I have always planned to eat whatever I want and however much I want over Christmas, but I am curious to see whether I will.

There will be chocolate in the house and I will eat some of it.

Breaking news, I can do up 2 skirts and breathe, that I couldn’t a month ago!

    Hi Everybody,

We weighed in this morning, I have lost another 1 lb making it 27 lbs, I will have to squeeze another 1 lb before Christmas.

My hubby bless him has now passed me, 2 lb off taking him to 28 lbs / 2 stone off to his Christmas goal. He is very pleased today never believing in July he would do this and reach his pre Xmas target. Another 7 lb to loose for him in the New Year.

His words this morning is ” we won’t be going overboard on our Christmas eating”…….. different words from last week!

Annette, well done on the skirts………room for a few more chocs..

Lindyw, you are very good having one day of Christmas, we have declared about 10 days, we normally have all of December!

Good Luck with the weigh ins, Everybody
    X
