  • Hi there, I have been on 5:2 for two months now. I am really pleased with the results, combined with walking 10km as many days as possible I am losing weight.
However, on some of my fast days I am struggling, I need to eat more. What do people do in this situation? Abort the fast day and eat normally, or just eat a little extra? Then go back to usual next fast day. On top of that, I get very cold on the fast days – and I live in Spain!
    🙂

    Hi FastAlan,

Well done for your weight loss! I’m coming up to the end of my first month and I’m going to weight myself this Tuesday, so I’m continuing with 2 weeks inbetween!

To answer your question, if you have got the book it tells you what snacks you can eat, I normally go for a few strawberries and blackberries as they tell you to stay off fruits such as bananas which are quite calorific
I’ll list what they tell you can eat here:

    Strawberries 10 is 30cals
    100g blueberries 57cal
    60g stoned cherries 23cal
    25g Edam 85cal
    10g popcorn 59cals
    apple slices 48cal
    hardboiled egg 75cal
    frozen grapes 60cal

I hope that helps and well done on doing so well!!

    B

Hi Alan, I think you mean that you WANT to eat more. Unfortunately any weight loss method involves a certain amount of willpower and sometimes you just have to tough it out.
How do you eat your 600 calories, do you split them or eat them all at once.
I have found that putting off eating as long as possible is the best way forward and usually don’t eat until dinner. If I’m hungry before then I have a glass of water and a hot drink and find something to do, the hunger pangs willl pass.
If you are fasting you will get cold, and you need to wear more clothes and/or get moving to warm yourself up.
