  • Hello everyone!

I’ve hit a challenging time with my weight. I’m in transition from male to female, and my body chemistry’s been all over the place…

Oh dear, every time my prescription was changed I ended up binging! Fortunately the meds are now steady, so I can think about losing the weight that I gained. The additional difficulty is that my body is actively storing fat as I acquire my feminine “curves”!

Calorie control wasn’t working, so I’ve decided to give 5:2 a go – I find “going without” easier than control, I think. It has another benefit that I don’t think is emphasised enough: the rest of the week I have to eat *properly* and so have to address the eating habits that caused me to be overweight in the first place.

In my case, this includes learning to eat as a lady should, rather than a slightly unhappy bloke did.

So I’m currently 12st and a size 16; my ambition is to get down to a nice 12!

    Kisses,
    Melissa

    Hi Melissa

Nice to meet you. I have to confess to knowing very little about gender transformation but you sound so positive!

Some of us ladies here are not too ladylike, or have not been, in our eating habits!

Wishing you so much luck in your new life and will say size 12 sounds great.

    Hugs

    Welcome.

Eating nothing is certainly easier than eating a little, I find.

Good luck with both your transition and your weight loss.
