Morning Gracie01 and welcome to the forums!
basically you choose which days you want to fast, thought these can be changed around your life, check your TDEE, top of the page there is a too which will calculate this for you, that’s about it really lol, I never read any books so cant advise on that…
good luck and happy fasting 🙂
Welcome.
There is only one book to read — so not many choices there!
I am sure you have read all the links on this webpage. There isn’t much to this plan, but it works if you can keep the calories reasonable on the non fast days. Some have to count calories to determine what reasonable is for them.
Exercise helps a bunch, although it took me a while to start losing with the high intensity exercising.
Hi and welcome:
I’m not sure a book is necessary, but if you think it will help, go for it.
Here are some tips for those just starting 5:2: http://thefastdiet.co.uk/forums/topic/warnings-to-newbies/
Good Luck!
