  • Markie99: I just read your post (with amusement)! I get it! I can’t get up off the floor anymore either but I do yoga. All the yoga studios around here now have warnings on their classes that if you can’t get off the floor, don’t take this class!!! LOL Well, I found a chair yoga class that I love. Great teacher! I used to make fun of chair yoga without even knowing what it really is. Stupid me. It’s wonderful! I am now doing that 2 days a week and loving it. I feel so good afterwards. I also have a personal trainer who works with me 5 days a week, although on Friday I had to tell him that I have to eliminate 3 of my exercises where I lift weights over my head. Doggone arthritis! I usually walk, too, but it’s too cold here now. Instead I am rowing on my rowing machine 5 days a week. That feels so good on my back. Weekends are a break! No FDs and no exercise. My poor body needs a break. I do believe that exercise helps in weight loss. When you build muscle, your metabolism works faster. That’s why men lose weight faster than women. They have more muscle to begin with! At least that’s the consensus here in the States. I also feel better with exercise. Have a great day!

shinything: thanks for your comments. I was thinking about a 16:8 diet, too, but all of the sudden I am losing my appetite. Maybe my stomach is shrinking or something but I could use this to my advantage. I also thought to make my NFD 16:8. I am trying that for the first time today. I will see what happens. I am already down 4 lbs. and am excited about that. I also turned to a Mediterranean diet, which I am loving. I have become addicted to avocados and olive oil but am carefully measuring it. It’s a pity that some things that are so healthy are also so good for you! 🙁 I’ve gone Italian and put carefully measured olive oil instead of butter on everything! Yummy! I read that the fats in these two items actually help in fat loss. If that is true, I am board with that! Good luck and have a great day!

Rainbowsmile: I don’t know what’s wrong with you today but I hope things pick up! 🙂

Scribbleartist: Hi! Just read your post so I thought I would reply. I, too, have autoimmune problems. In my research on fasting before I joined this group, I read that fasting may help with inflammation, which is one of the causes of autoimmune problems. I jumped right on that. In fact, it is my biggest incentive for staying on course here, even more than losing weight. You should google the internet and take a look yourself. It may take awhile to see a result but I am very keen on this. I am only sorry that both my children have inherited this problem, too, and my poor daughter as progressed to Celiac disease. I am hoping someone will come up with help and I am willing to give this ago. Good luck and have a great day! 🙂

    Hello!

I am new here and also new to fasting. I just started this month with 16:8 fasting, but before this, I was 2 weeks on a 1600kcal/day diet (high protein/ mod carbs/ mod fat).

My first couple of days are being less bad that I thought. I also am eating more or less 1500kcal/day now, which is appropriate for a moderate weight loss for my body type, and again, I rearranged my macros. Now I am on a high protein, high fat, and low carbs “diet”. I used to crave so many sweets and sugary treats like cake and chocolate (absolutely favs), but since I changed the macro ratio, I am feeling much better. No cravings! I am also a pastry chef, which makes everything so much more difficult, but guess what? I am learning to overcome my impulses with the fasting.

Also I must say I was afraid to work out on my second day, thinking I would collapse because of not having anything in my stomach. But, surprise!! I could train even better! And that because I usually train hard for my legs, like heavy squats and deadlifts.

Of course, it is still very very early to say anything, but I just have positive things to point out.

Here you can see some details:

Details: 149cm (yes, I am tiny!)
    Weight: 57kg
    Fat percentage: +- 30%

Happy fasting everyone and carry on!

    2nd post

@redrocks So glad to hear I am not alone in this..uh…boat?
Soooo frustrating and yes uncomfortable and certainly doesn’t inspire me to step on a scale!!

The walk and coffee helped me this morning. But I know/think I remember you are already fairly active? I have heard jogging specifically so maybe try that if you don’t already?
Hoping it’s a temporary blip and will sort itself out over time as body adjusts to new schedule of eating.

    Day 3 – NFD – Oklahoma USA

I feel so bad I forgot to check in yesterday. I didn’t FORGET but every time I thought about it I was driving! I have drill this weekend and I am really hoping the weight loss kicks in soon, these MED pants are TIGHT… hot pants!

I have done well eating today, coffee with half and half and grilled chicken salad for lunch but I promised my daughter Thai for dinner and I LOVE massaman so I will need to show some restraint.

    Happy fasting/feasting!!

Cogomela17: Welcome! I am new, too! Sounds like you started with the right positive attitude! Good luck!

Days 2 and 3 NFD. Lots of damage done the last two days. must try harder!

Thank you for this site. Reading everyone’s comments helps me stay on the diet. I socialise and travel a bit too much and find staying on track then difficult. The 16:8 diet with sensible eating when not fasting seems to be working. I particularly want to get rid of belly fat!

    Day 3/4/NFD/Melbourne Australia

Welcome to all our new friends. I’d love to reply individually but i’m rather time poor this week. Hoping life will take a more leisurely pace next week.

Today’s weight is 1.5kg below my goal weight. I’ve been below goal for nearly 3 years now! I’m firmly in the reformed eaters club but very aware I need to be mindful. Especially with 🍷🍷🍺🍺 because it releases the dreaded 🧀🐲. I’m loving my latest obsession cooking in the style of Yotam Ottolenghi. My goal is to increase the variety of vegetables in my daily diet and to reduce meat. It’s also helping me tackle the huge pile of zucchini/courgettes! My peas and beans failed but I can sure grow zucchini!

Have a wonderful day everyone. Planning to watch the Super Bowl tomorrow with our American friends.

    Second Post

@ccco so happy to read your post!!
Good for you that you are doing yoga and other things to improve your fitness. Full disclosure – I will be 69 next month and feel much younger because of my activity.

I love teaching Silver Sneakers Chair Yoga. The classes at our YMCA are full of people who are improving their health through this type of yoga each day (I teach 5 classes a week with an average of 35 people in each class). The class, as you probably know, includes lots of breathing, stretching and strength and balance poses. I try to keep the poses in this class as close to actual yoga poses as possible.

I’m certified in yoga and also teach a Gentle Mat Yoga class once a week. We start with standing poses and then move down to the mat. Once on the mat we do seated, tabletop, belly and back poses only and don’t get up from the mat until the end of class. I have chairs available for anyone who needs assistance in getting up with support. I have a student who has MS who comes to this class every week with a caregiver and she is doing amazingly well. Another student who used to need a chair for support to get up no longer needs a chair, which is such good news for her! I live in the states as well, and have found that the YMCA is a most supportive place for older people to get fit. I have never seen a sign that asks people not to take a class because of physical limitations – instead we try to adapt our classes to the needs of the participants.

I wish you all the best in your weight loss journey and your yoga journey too.
    Take care, Markie

P.S. I agree that exercise can help in weight loss – what I disagree with is the idea that if I “burn” 50 calories riding a bike, I can eat 50 calories free and clear, which I still hear now and then.

    Day 3 North Wales NFD.

@onahealthyhigh I love Ottolenghi. I have all of his books. Sitting here with a glass of red relaxing. Have a good weekend everyone. X

Day 3 NFD Stevensville Maryland USA
I am going to be turning 61 in June. I am a mother, wife, DIL to my 93-year-old MIL whom has lived with us for the past five years, a grandmother and I have two Fur Babies. Both Labrador Retrievers, one Chocolate and one Yellow. I live on a lovely Island on the Chesapeake Bay in Maryland USA. I really have a wonderful life full of love and beauty all around me. I work on the island at a beautiful marina. I have been in the boating industry for 25 years and love it.

I am 5’3ft and weight 137lbs right now. My highest weight was 165, when I quit smoking I started to gain a lot of weight. After three years of not smoking, I start again just to get the weight off. It worked I got down to 145 and stayed there for the past 3 years, the scale would not budge. I heard about this WOL last year and thought great another new diet and ignored it.

I wanted 2018 to be a good healthy year for me and wanted to get this weight off for good. I watched Dr. Mosley’s documentary and was determined to give it a go. I started off doing 16.8 the second week of January and the third and fourth week I still did 16.8 and added two FD days. I fast on Mondays and Thursdays eating only 500 calories. On NFD days I keep my calories at 1000 and drink vodka and water in the evening and I lost 4 lbs.and two inches on by belly YAY that is where all my fat seems to end up. I only weigh myself on Fridays. My goal for February is to lose 4 lbs. and quit smoking.

I stumbled across this forum and I joined right away. I read it daily sometimes I’m on and off all day. It is making this WOL much easier hearing all this good stuff.

Go be love, the world needs you.

Markle99: I love that you can do all that and be 69 yo. I myself turn 68 this year. I personally think that exercise is the key to staying youthful as we age. WTG! I read somewhere that Californians think that everything can be resolved with yoga and a beach. Haha! Maybe they are on to something! Have a great day! 🙂

Markle99: I just noticed your P.S. and I agree with you, especially when they are trying to lose or maintain weight!

    DAY 3- Budapest, NFD

    I lost 1 lb yay!

Today was going great until dinner 🙁 I didn’t have a chance to eat until really late, and then I had too much food. But tomorrow is a FD! I’m starting to really look forward to these FDs, I think it’s a good chance for the body to rest and get a break.

question to everyone: do we update the weight on the spreadsheet now (as we go along and lose a bit of weight), or do we just update it at the end?

    Hi ccco:

If you are interested in what impact fasting can have on autoimmune diseases like MS, RA and others, you might read ‘The Longevity Diet’ by Valter Longo. It has a full chapter on how to attack autoimmune diseases with diet and fasting.

Day 3 – USA (Utah visiting) – FD

Marking a 500-800 calorie day today. Our daugher, who I am visiting here in UT, is dating a doctor. He said this virus I have will take 2 weeks to work its way out (he has seen about 100 patients with it in the last month) and to eat chicken soup. Just had that for lunch. Trader Joe’s makes a good quick one.

    Onward and downward.

Simcoeluv, Thanks! I will see if I can get it. I am always interested in that topic! 🙂

    Day 3 Belfast NFD🐢🎂🤐

Woke to beautiful blue skies and took pup for a walk on the beach. I watched Dr M’s programme on Wednesday and have decided to do his 5min work out along with my planks. The problem with that is I’m knackered after the minute running fast on the spot! A project to work on I think.
@daffodil how exciting! I’d better not mention that to OH. He got rid of his motor bike 30 or so years ago, but he still hankers after those trips. I’m actually surprised he hasn’t dropped hints to buy one now he is semi retired! Where have you taken your award-winning photos? Would you post a couple?
@CornishJane – what a difference a few hundred miles makes! Our daffs have no intention of flowering yet, although we have a few primulas giving a bit of colour. What will survive pup is another story! I’m very mindful that daffodil bulbs are poisonous, so if she starts to dig them up, I’ll have to get rid of them.
    Great quote @igorek
@markie99 you do a great work out. I totally relate to your post – even up to 5 year ago, I felt I was I almost invincible. Getting up and down from the floor is something I also work at, along with balance. I clean my teeth balancing on one foot at a time.Dr. M’s latest programme dealt with simple exercises at home to keep fit, like getting up and down from a chair, which I have incorporated into my routine.
    http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p05w69pz

@michelinme – what a disappointing match the Scots played. There was a lot of hype about the team beforehand and sooner or later it has to be their moment. And as for Ireland, what a narrow escape!
Good luck @ Daffodil hope you win!
@happymargo – how good that you and OH are working in tandem.
@ccco – many of us follow a 16:8 routine. I can really recommend it. I used to eat breakfast even though I wasn’t hungry. In fact if I’m honest, I never really felt hunger until I started this WOL. I now never eat breakfast.
@bert – interesting MIL conversation. My OH and my mum got on so well. He was quite wicked to her and she loved it. One Halloween, she can to visit and he bought her a broomstick so she could ‘visit her friends’. She was in stitches. One of the many reasons we miss her.
@diana123 – sounds like you have a wonderful life
@ionamaus – use the spreadsheet just how you like. It’s really just a motivational tool.

    Onwards and downwards

    Day 3 – Scotland – NFD
Controlled day, much needed after yesterday. I’m feeling a bit low, but I don’t want to give up…

Hello from Ni day 3 slow day

Today went well – all under control – said no to a chocolate biscuit after dinner (win). Took Dad to visit his SIL and then to an old friend he hasn’t seen in a while. They enjoyed reminiscing and looking at old photos. It was late when I got home and I enjoyed a small glass of wine.

@debster251- have you tried tabata training? I have some downloads on an mp3 (had them for years) you can have different periods of time 30/30, 20/10 or 60/30. You pick an activity ie running on spot, star jumps or mountain climbers etc. You run as fast for 20 seconds, rest (slow march) for 10 seconds x 8 times. I’m sure you can still find them to download as they count everything out for you. I can tell you by the third or 4th session that 10 seconds gets quicker and quicker. I have promised myself I will start some exercise this month – will maybe lookout the mp3?

@lumat – we all have low moments – tomorrow is another day, dust yourself down but whatever you do – don’t give up.

That danish does not care about you. Leave it in the break area on a plate with a post-it: free to good home. Then talk to your bf! Why would he do that? Sometimes we have to make sure people know what we’re doing so they can be supportive. Good luck!

Day 3 – SW WA USA – NFD

So enjoying the weekend after a full week. Also enjoyed catching up on 7 pages of posts on this wonderful forum.

@daffodil2010 – I was locked out too but now can get back into the spreadsheet. Thanks for fixing it. I’m not very spreadsheet savvy, but I think there’s something to click on so that the names stay visible when we scroll to the right to input data. That way we can be sure to input on the right line. @mjrbc44 maybe you know how to explain it because I think last month the names stayed visible even as we filled in further to the right.

@@RedRockGirl & @mjrbc44 – maybe the ACV is helping keep me pretty regular. I do 1 tbsp of apple cider vinegar in warm water with one pkg of stevia most mornings & it helps with digestion. I hear it’s also an anti-inflamatory and more.

@happymargo – it sounds wonderful at your house with your hubby on board. I’m happy for you!

@songbirdme – hoping that bug bites the dust soon. I’ll have to keep my eyes open for some chicken soup at Trader Joe’s. Hadn’t thought to look there. I did make some homemade a little while ago that definitely hit the spot.

    Together we are stronger folks!

Day 4 – SW WA USA – NFD

So enjoyed catching up on posts this weekend. I just posted a fairly long post and it disappeared after I edited it. Oh well, c’est la vie!

@songbirdme – hope you get over your bug quickly! Will have to keep my eyes open for the Trader Joe’s chicken soup.

@mjrbc44 – yes, looking forward to Peru & hopefully some sunshine. I did enjoy the sunbreaks yesterday afternoon. BTW, I think maybe the ACV (apple cider vinegar) I have in some warm water & a bit of stevia 1st thing in the morning, helps with regularity.

@happymargo – so glad your hubby’s on board with you. It sounds happy at your house!

    Together we are stronger!

ccco USA NFD: Just completed my NFD. I went well! As long as I prepare pre-paid meals for the evening, I should do well! I guess because I am tired in the evening, there is too much chance of going over, if I make those meals in the evening. Tomorrow is another NFD! Good night, everyone!

    @debster251 thanks for the link!

Also, after reading your post, I’m smiling because we have something in common. I will now picture the two of us, on two different continents, cleaning our teeth while standing on one foot. 🙂

    Take care, Markie

    Day 4 NSW Australia FD
Hi everyone – hope you are all enjoying your Sunday. We have been having much needed showers of rain today, though mostly sunny. The dams are getting low – oh well, it is Summer!
Thank you Daffodil for opening our spreadsheet.
Enjoy whatever you are getting up to today and bye for now!

    Day 3 California NFD

I’m late in posting today and had been on a business trip the past couple of days. I’m doing maintenance these days after reaching my goal around the end of this last year. Eating today has been a little overboard. I’m going to try to be a little more careful tomorrow and then Monday’s my usual FD.

Nice weather the past couple of days. It feels almost like spring.

    Day 4 Belfast NFD
The scales are up 4 lbs despite no sugar, no alcohol and mindful eating on my NFDs. Feeling a bit grumpy about that. Back to the drawing board.

Thank you @coda. I googled that and there is a web site and more which I’ll read after posting. I’ll look into that. I always had good strength particularly in my legs but I’m concerned that I’m losing it very quickly and feel I need to do something about it.
@Markie Lol! Am trying to progress to the dancer pose but am afraid my teeth mightn’t get cleaned properly!

Sitting watching the sunrise as I post. The sky is bathed in a pink glow. Mmmm

    Remember:
IT’S NOT JUST ABOUT LOSING THE WEIGHT; IT’S ABOUT LOSING THE LIFESTYLE AND MINDSET THAT GOT YOU THERE” Steve Maraboli

    Day 4, UK, NFD
Strangely looking forward to tomorrrow’s FD. Settling into maintenance will take a looong time before I get it right. The scales are mocking me this morning… oh well. It’s a beautifully sunny day here and the dogs won’t walk themselves.

    Have a great Sunday everybody.

Day 4, London, UK, NFD (CD),

The Malbec went down soooo smoothly last night, but it wasn’t entirely necessary, I was well on the way to a CD just under TDEE, but the wine pushed me over. I think sticking to the ‘Dry ‘til Fri’ pledge will be a doddle!!!

@madamedelioness, personally, I call that “releasing the dragon” whether it’s an apple, a biscuit and once it happened with 1 single solitary baby plum tomato, no bigger than the end of my thumb!!!!! As soon as that 1st ‘thing’ crosses my lips and enters my tummy, the dragon is awakened and screaming, roaring, grumbling for more, More, MORE!!!! THIS is why I try not to release the dragon until as late as possible on any day whether fasting or not!!!

@rainbowsmile, sorry to hear you’re under the weather, ……………………… but seriously, cauliflower craving??????

LOL @ciren2, Sooooooo ……….. you’ve got new fancy scales, ok, ………………. but you don’t want to know your weight, ok, ………………………..so you’re weighing in kilos, ok too, ………………… ‘cause they mean nothing to you anyway!!!!!!!!!!! Too, too funny!!!!!

Congratulations @happymargo, I’m glad you finally have an IF buddy!!! I could highlight the differences between the learning curve of women vs that of men …………….. but no need to state the obvious!!!!!

I just saw an advert for the British Heart Foundation, they’re asking people to raise money by doing a #DECHOX, so one month (March) chocolate free!!! Chocolate has never been my problem, even dry months aren’t too difficult, but biscuits, bread or cake??? I’m not sure I could do an ENTIRE month without!!!!

Finish the weekend strong, strong, strong everyone!!!!

Hello all from NI day 4 slow day

Just enjoyed a breakfast with OH. Sunday is now usually the only day I have breakfast – this will keep me going until dinner and if I can refrain from having a cup of coffee with a ‘wee something’ then it’s a win for me. Must break the association of having something to eat along with tea or coffee.

@happymargo so glad your OH is now on board. Happy days!

Have a good day everyone x

    Day 4: Gloucestershire, NFD.
@bigviking…like you, strangely looking forward to my (2nd) fast day tomorrow…to see if I can really do it!
    @flourbaby: Ha…Ha I have my methods!!!

    Day 4 Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿 NFD

Very cold but beautifully sunny 😎 here today, perfect day to wrap up in winter togs and go for a walk and perhaps, OK definitely, call in at the pub for a little lunchtime 🍷

@rainbowsmile the only time I felt like you describe was when I did the Atkins diet then I had bad breath, craving for vegetables and raging thirst. Have you cut drastically down on carbs? Feel better soon 🌹

    Happy Sunday everyone 🤗

    Day 4 – London – FD

I had to make today a FD because I’m travelling with work for a couple of days from tomorrow. Sunday is our day for brunch and roast dinner here. Missing out is hard!! My family think I’m bonkers .
Is anyone else fasting today? Need moral support!!

    Day 4, Guildford UK, CFD

@coco thank you. I slept for 24 hrs. I felt awful

@flourbaby, yes truly cauliflower I ate 4 large frozen bags of it. I roasted it and had it curried and with a light cheese sauce. My body still wants cauliflower, yesterday i juiced it too. I figured if my body wants veg it can have it. I ran out and had red cabbage with turmeric and coriander sauce.

@missybear it is interesting but yes I eat low carb all the time as I am a diabetic. So maybe I over did it. Maybe going back to the Wol has caused it as I rarely do anything by half.

@debster251 I spin as it is low impact on my knees and I also do body pump with weights. Using the virtual spin means I can go at my own pace too. I also sauna 3 times a week to ease my rheum arthritis, this also improves my lungs. I also dance a little, jiving but it tires me unless I do so regularly.

I have found this Wol helpful with my weight but my energy on it is much lower so it’s a compromise for me. So some periods I can really do well and on others it is a struggle. Could be other factors going on in my life, so I will re-examine when life is stable.

One of the things that I am very clear about is that the help and support through dark days has made it possible to keep on moving forwards (or downwards); and I am truly grateful indeed to my tribe for the encouragement and great kindness.

    Mari

    Day 4 Brisbane, Australia

    FD
Had the best FD yet. Didnt eat till dinner and then had vege soup and an egg. Working late this evening so will have an egg before I go to bed so I can sleep.
Not hungry at all but there were jam and shortbread biscuits at work and I reached for one before thinking. Just that old habit of seeing and eating without any relation to thinking about what I eat. Resisted, so that made me feel strong. The thought of NFD a tomorrow and having toast late morning got me through.

Started at 159, dropped 2, ate too much last night so today’s weigh in at 158. Fast day today and Tuesday. Have a great Sunday everybody and be kind to yourselves!

Day 4 Newcastle UK NFD 🇬🇧.
A bit up and down this week. No nights out next week so exercise and focused NFD, looking for a good weight loss next Sunday.
Enjoy the rest of your weekend.

    Day 4…..Florida…..NFD

I have today off the three working days before my MIL arrives. It’s going to be a busy day. I’m caulking the bathroom, hanging decorations, then Friday I decided to replace some damaged boards in my hallway in front of our guest room. I tracked my package looks like the shower curtain and shelves should be here Monday. So, now I’ve got to figure out what I’m going to put on said shelves.

Food wise, it’s Super Bowl Sunday, so homemade pizza and wings tonight. I was going to make banana bread too but they’re not quite ripe enough yet. So, maybe I can skip out of making a desert. I make one every Sunday for the family. I’ll have to see if they notice……

@michalien……..I can’t believe Lent is in 10 short days, the hubs and I were just discussing this the other night. I’m thinking I’m going to give up my diet mt dew and sweets. Plus, I’m thinking about adding 30 min of exercise into the fold. Thank goodness, I’ve got ten days to think about it!

@vtenks…….Welcome! I’m a avid coffee drinkers as well. I have never limited my coffee intake. I use sweet n low as well as far free half and half in mine. I have also had this WOL for over a year. It has never effected my ability to maintain this WOL or my ability to lose lbs or inches. So, if that helps!

@debster….. sounds like the hubby and mom had a great relationship! That’s how my MIL and I are…..

Well, the hubby and I killed the coffee pot, so I must go be productive now!

I talk a lot of smack for someone who tips over while trying to put on their underwear!

    Day 4 – USA – NFD

@rainbowsmile, I am now in the shoes you were in almost a year ago! Dance for the tribe!!!

    Day 4, NFD, USA

Oh boy, I have missed the start of the month. I am really looking fwd to a FD tomorrow. And to being more honest with myself. I usually find FDs easy – easier for me if I just limit myself to coffee. If I have food, it unleashes the dragon. But where I need to be honest is in what I eat on NFDs. (Except for today of course – it’s Superbowl Sunday and we have friends coming over to watch the game. Wine, pulled pork and fun!) I tell myself on NFDs that that extra spoonful of peanut butter really doesn’t count, when of course it does.

Putting it out there for public accountability – count me in on the Dry til Fri! 🙂

Day 4 – NFD. Michigan, USA

Good morning all from snowy Michigan!

@bert1802 thank you for the information, that is great to hear. I would struggle without that coffee😴

I was talking to DH last night, and think I may have gotten him to join me. We both used to be quite fit and active, but 22+ years of married life and three kids added a few too many pounds. Time to reverse that!

Off to brave the snow to the health club and a workout, which I haven’t done in a long time! Have a great day everyone🤗

    Day 4, NFD, UK

Last week went very well. I am on track. Excited about tomorrow’s FD!

66kg this morning, the goal is to be 65.5 next Sunday – would be delighted with this result. I thought about tomorrow’s meal – grilled chicken with plenty of salad and broccoli. Normally I have plenty of coffee and tea with semi-skimmed milk. I think I need to cut on that milk during FD – it would be good to hear what you all do?

Anyway, speak to you tomorrow. Thank you for your support xxx

Day 4 NFD Stevensville Maryland USA today I won’t have a CD because it is Super Bowl Sunday, having wings mac and cheese and snacking on dips and chips. Will still drink lots of water and tomorrow is a FD and I am feeling good about my measurements. I give up on the scale one day 137 next day 140 who cares as long as my clothes fit better and my measurements are going downward.

    We rise by lifting others

    Day 4, Gozo, Malta, nfd

Yesterday I went over tdee but not much.

Today I ate half a cheeselet with my morning coffee. My husband and I ate out for lunch and our son is a bit sick so he stayed at home and we brought him a takeaway. I had two glasses of sweet wine and though I wasn’t going to take a starter, my husband wanted one and persuaded me to take one. I choose a capers salad and he choose a pasta chorizo starter. We had veal with mushroom sauce and fries and vegetables. Then we didn’t have any dessert, I only had a cappuccino without sugar.

So this evening I’m allowing myself only a bag of rice crisps at 135 calories to stay within my tdee.

Tomorrow is a fd for me.

Have a great Sunday everyone, onwards and downwards.

    Day 4, UK, NFD

So far so good eating wise today, I think I should stay within limits 🙂 . Like few others here, I’m looking forward the FD tomorrow. Weight is still the same, hopefully that will change downwards in time 🐢

For all who are going to be watching it, enjoy the Super Bowl ⚾ 😀

    Day 4 USA Wisconsin NFD

Planning a controlled NFD today, despite making guacamole later (that’s a given on Super Bowl Sunday). Planning to dip vegetables rather than chips, which should help.

Very cold and snowy here, so hoping to do home things today and not go out at all. Activity will include a session with weights, which I haven’t done since we left on our trip almost three weeks ago.

@happymargo so glad that you and your husband are planning meals and fasting together. What an amazing source of support that must be.

Thanks for the support and inspiration from this group. I go online at odd moments and read as much as I can – incredibly motivating for me.

    Take care, Markie
