Used a tiny amount of rice bran oil. Its lower calorie than rapeseed and its zero cholesterol and has a high smoke point. All my recipes tend to go along lines of 1 onion,carrot, courgette, half a box of mushrooms ,couple of sticks celery . This had frozen butternut squash and waitrose frozen wild mushrooms…. Both great if you can get hold of them.When we have on FD on Thursday I’m going to put a red cabbage thing with it as a side dish. I used the mandolin on all the fresh veg last night and it gave it a really nice texture.Home made veg stock is really good to disguise the tomato passata base (himself if funny about cooked tomato).If you make veg stock chuck the onion skins in as well give more colour and flavour. Smoked garlic also very useful
