Day 1 and I'm feeling motivated

  • Hello everyone

    Today is my first fast day, it’s 2 in the afternoon and i have over 400 calories to go. I’m feeling overwhelmed with the novelty of the fast. A little anxious about when the initial motivation wears off.

    Yes, 400 calories left to ‘ cram in before bed’ becomes really weird.
    So far after 3 weeks it is still very strange.

    Last night I couldn’t finish my dinner!
    It’s in the fridge for today.. ( maybe 1/2 cup left, just could not do it)

    How can that be???
    It was only 300 cals.

    I’m a 3000 calorie girl usually…or at least I thought I was. But maybe not!

    Hey Cakes! Don’t worry about that motivation wearing off, just assume it won’t! Every fast day is a new one, and it’s only one day… then you can have a lovely day of eating tasty stuff without feeling bad. Within boundaries of course 😉

    When you start to lose weight that motivation won’t go anywhere, trust me!

    Hi Chelsea it feels good to get started.
    Secret it is to keep yourself busy on fast days, my house has never been so clean and tidy and washing and ironing up to date!!
    Go for a nice long walk if you can.
    When I’m hungry I brush my teeth or have a bit of gum, the mint taste puts me off food!
    A glass of sparkling water with a slice of lime is a substitute to a glass of wine.
    I’ve only been on it about 3 wks and find I make better choices on none fast days, apart from a few extra treats at the weekends.
    Good luck and use this excellent forum for inspiration.
