Hi

I’m a 43 year old northern bloke working in an office and not very active at all – I’ve read the books and now I think I’m ready to start.

I don’t think I need to lose weight so I’m planning to start doing a 6:1 plan to gain the health benefits. If this works then I may move on to a 5:2 plan.

There’s a history of strokes on my father’s side of the family and cancer on my mum’s side so I figure that I’ve nothing to lose.

Here’s hoping.

wiltldnrUSA, thanks for the welcome and thanks for the links. I watched the ‘Eat, Fast and Live Longer’ show online – that’s what peaked my interest in the books and the health benefits. I’ll look through the other links and hopefully gain more insight into the plan and its effects and benefits.

I’m looking forward to this trip into the unknown – tomorrow should be an interesting day and with support like yours and others in the forums this is going to be a breeze.
