  • Hi folks another quick post. Have 3 hours and the the studio doors will be SHUT! And I can relax and leave stuff lying around and put stuff to pack everywhere! Never mind it’s been good sold 9 paintings and lotsfof prints of his work and cards. No big ticket items but I think the economy’s dropped that market off.
Now have to drive to a gallery south of town that want their stocks of his cards/prints topped up before we go.
Decided on a FD today to make up for all the ones I stuffed up!! Doing well on one coffee so far. Am determined as my weight has been going up and don’t want that to happen before I’ve even left town!! So if I can manage it going to do a B2B today & tomorrow. Should be so busy it should be a breeze!! ๐Ÿ™‚
    Hugs to all auejen xxxx

Good evening and good night ADER’S.
Hope that your weekend has been enjoyable thus far.
OH and I will be up early to attend the DAWN SERVICE.then have breakfast at the RSL CLUB.This time last year I was with CG in Melbourne . I was in the city at 9am to match the march. I went to the Cenitarf the day before to leave flowers for my Dad and his 3 brave mates. All of them have now passed.. Dad and his mates left Sydney , drove to Melbourne to inlist. They were sent to Rebaul then somewhere near the Kokoda Trail. Dad escorted the Japanese POW’S BACK TO JAPAN. He never spoke to me about these days ever….however shared somethings with OH.He took me to Japan for holidays.I remember him always being friendly towards the Japanese and had many a long friendship.
I have done a B2B fast over the past days and was very surprised on my new digital scales showed 74.8kgs…..had to check3 times to make sure BUT there it was in its LED glory looking back at me….so have lost the 2.6kgs that I put on and broken the plateau……hmm we shall see.
We leave for PORT DOUGLAS on Thursday…..so looking gorward to this real break away with hubby mostly because he has been working hard the past 2 month organising parties as well as driving to every building site which can be a 2hr drive from home each day. Still having neck discomfort so taking it easy just walking and doing gentle pilates.
SUEJEN….happy that the studio showing was a success.I would be interested yo see your OH’s works. Now to the holiday and seeing your sonand his family….take a big bag for jis goodies!
CG….. So Glenn arrived safely and had a swim the temp woild hsve been very different gir him.He will gave a great time enjoying all that beautiful food and the Singapore countryside.
PH….another talented sewer…Thank you s o much for uour beautiful wish for me ….its in the jar.
ANNIE …..PLEASE put those yummy recipes of yours on the AUSSIE DETERMINATION RECIPE SITE. GOOD LUCK WITH THE JOB INTERVIEW. Hope you are finding your meds ok..
    Hugs to you all…..GO GALXXXXXXX
Are you again ready for you FD.?

Where’s the Aussie determination recipe site? Not heard of it.

I’ve picked the Rosemary for our Anzac service tomorrow and the house smells amazing. The shepherds pie worked out brilliantly. I got 6 serves I think for 225cal per serve. To crunch up the top I whizzed a cup of cornflakes in the food processor and stuck them on the top. That was a spot of genius if I do say so myself.

I went to the movies with friends and saw Eddie the Eagle which is worth a watch. Steps done, 5 meals towards the week done. Tick tick tick the boxes. Tomorrow I’m making dal. That with some steamed fish will supplement my week and help my cholesterol. FDs this week areTuesday and Thursday.

    Anne

Hi ANNIE just tupe in Aussie Detirminatin recipe thread in the search area at the top of the page …it will come up …..GO G AS L

    Hi all!
Got up very late this morning as I decided to rest my back. It’s feeling much better now so I’ll just go gently for a day or two and see if it comes right itself. Another glorious day here so thinking of going for a drive and gentle walk. It’s a shame not to take advantage of this kind of weather when we get it so seldom.
CG, sounds like Glenn is really enjoying his experience in Singapore, travelling abroad is so interesting and inspiring. I’m sure he’ll love sampling all the authentic food too. I hope you get around to your sewing, we can’t have you wandering around in trousers that are too big…..they could end up down around your ankles at a very inappropriate moment! ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‚
PH, you put me to shame with all you get through….clearing out, cleaning, helping your d, creating and sewing and altering clothes for yourself and others….amazing! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜ƒ
SJ, woohoo! Another successful open studio done and dusted! You and OH are quite a team! I’m sure the next couple of days will fly by and you will find fasting very easy. You must be exhausted and excited. Take care, dear friend and enjoy all that is to come ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜ƒ
GG, it’s great that you still have Port Douglas to look forward to and it sounds like your OH deserves a nice break too…… I suppose we have to give credit to the guys from time to time! Well done on your weigh in too, that’s a brilliant result! Keep up the good work! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜ƒ
Annie, you really are kicking ass on all fronts……as we say over here, “more power to your elbow! ” โœŠ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜‡
OH has just suggested going to lovely public gardens for a walk…..and there’s a coffee shop there too…..well, it is Sunday!! ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜ƒ

GG OH’s work is found on his website here https://spikerphotos.com/ . Also his FB page is Chris Spiker Fine Art & Photography. Just a bit shell-shocked today after we shut the doors! XXXX
PS the cases are NOW on the bed!!!!!!!!

OK i posted a few of my current fav recipes. I prefer fast and easy and flavourful. I am not into fiddly shit….one pan….thats me.

Well done, Annie, thank you…..my OH will be delighted, he’s a real one pan man! (He’s the chef in our house! ) ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜ƒ

SJ, just had another look at your OH’s work….he is truly very, very gifted. The detail and precision in the nature paintings are superb and the abstract work is very interesting and draws the viewer into the painting. He deserves huge success and recognition. Best of luck with the packing! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Morning (here, anyway) Aussies! Miss never-miss-a-party girl here…no sooner had I said the words “thank heavens for a quiet evening at home” last night, a friend invited us to enjoy the weather on her deck. Enjoy it we did, with quite a bit of ๐Ÿท๐Ÿท and nibbles. At least not junky nibbles, as she eats gluten-free. And another party on the horizon today, but on the bright side I’m a guest yet again so BRING IT ON I say.๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜€..but bring it on softly…oh..my head….๐Ÿ˜‘๐Ÿ˜

Sue, sweet heavens is your OH talented!! Those paintings are stunningly gorgeous. I haven’t an artistic bone in my body but I can sure appreciate it. And what beautiful subjects ๐Ÿ•Š (hmmm where are the songbird emojis on this thing??). Hoorah that the open houses are done ๐ŸŽ‰now for the mad packing to leave on your trip!

GG I’ve been imagining you in Port Douglas for weeks now! Glad you are finally going – enjoy, relax, drink too much wine, hug your sweetie, be impetuous, ridiculous, or whatever strikes your fancy at the moment, and just have a blast!!๐Ÿ”†๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿท๐Ÿ‘„๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’‹๐Ÿ’๐ŸŒ™๐Ÿพ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿ–๐ŸŽ†

I am feeling like a total sloth surrounded by all you industrious ladies. OH was looking for some charger cord yesterday and I swear every drawer we opened looked like medusa’s head. Just filled with useless cords probably from 8 phones ago. PH please come and teach us your ways!

Annie thanks bunches for the recipes – I will def be needing low-cal options asap. Indeed the crunch w/cornflakes was genius โ™ฅ๏ธ I am hungry just thinking about it.
Hey CG glad to hear Glenn is doing well in Singapore – indeed an American breakfast could feed a family of 4, he will need to take it easy with those! And you had better rustle up a few blankets if it’s already frost season there – wow, that didn’t take long did it. And I thought your country was beautiful (online) but who knows when the photos I saw were taken.

Fit, I’m downloading Irish map apps – better warn everyone you know to stay off the roads from 23-26 May! Now OH wants to take a side trip to Cork, perhaps right after landing in Shannon. That should be interesting, no sleep, no sense, yes let’s drive all OVER Ireland. But the car is booked and every insurance known along with it ๐Ÿ‘ Enjoy your leisurely Sunday, sounds wonderful ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ”† I hope your back is feeling better – don’t overdo it! And no worries, you’ll walk off any calories you spend in the coffee shop ๐Ÿค” right? Ha, I am seriously just kidding, it is Sunday and a gorgeous day is meant to be enjoyed. Don’t let us down, we know you can do it!! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿ’•

Time to pour more hot coffee over my head. Then maybe go have it examined! Feeling quite jiggly today but I know I can set that right with some good 5:2ing. I tell you, this sidekick gig is tough work sometimes ๐Ÿ˜œ Big love to all, enjoy your day, whatever it may bring! ๐Ÿ˜jade xx

Ha, Jade, you always make me laugh! Yes, Cork is worth a visit, especially the south west….but the roads can be tricky…. I think it’s the original version of the Bermuda Triangle down there! ๐Ÿค“๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ˜ฑ As for your untidy drawers…..didn’t you say you have visited IKEA? Well, they have every possible storage solution known to man. I use a few of their divided drawer insets for all my scarves…genius! Now all I have to do is apply the same solution to the remaining 95% of my storage spaces! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜‰
OH, dog and I had a wonderful day, strolling through beautiful gardens on an old estate dating from the late 1600’s. There is a yew walk with trees over 300 years old. Amazing views over gently rolling hills and trees in the sunshine. Finished with a very tasty lunch and coffee, but no cake! ๐Ÿ˜‡
You’re doing a brilliant job of being a side-kick….. I might have to get lessons from you when you come over! ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜ƒ So glad you’re enjoying your duties ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜œ

Fit, lol I have visited IKEA and all I need are those large round “storage” bins and the strength to sort and toss…probably 95% of the snakes lurking in our drawers. Eek that sounds terrifying doesn’t it. Perhaps when I retire I can do that, but it’s OH who can’t part with things so I’d probably just have to set fire to our house if I am in a rush. Which I’m not, if any police are trolling the site ๐Ÿ‘ฎjust kidding fellas, really.

Ah…your day sounds perfect ๐Ÿ’•- the weather is gorgeous here too, I’m thinking of gardening as I bought a few more plants yesterday along with 6 big bags of mulch that are moldering on the terrace. We’ve had some rain so the digging will be gentle ๐Ÿ˜… And well done on bypassing the cake! ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿคxx

Hello. I am still here. love to you all. Been Busy writing and packing the van for a foray OUT OF THE YARD Soooon. Meawhile the plot thickens. Gotta go. It is nearly dawn and I am in the Dawn service. Escorting an old digger in the sidecar. Brave lads never quail! And me with night blindness and early cataracts. Ah, well, me and the Universe salutes them! xxgyps

Love back to you Gyps! Keep thickening that plot and happy travels in the sidecar! xxx

Well done, Gyps…..you’re amazing, surely no harm can come to someone doing such a service ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜‡ Take care on your travels and we’ll all be waiting to see how the plot unfolds in the next instalment. ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ’•

Hi team, late start this morning after a bad night. Up at 2:20 unable to go back to sleep so took something to help and here it is 9:30am๐Ÿ˜ฑ But why the feeling of guilt for sleeping in is beyond me, I should appreciate it. It’s very chilly with frosts but another glorious day coming up. The poor old diggers brave the cold every year for the dawn services and to catch up with their dwindling population, God luv ’em๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’• but a wonderful day of catchup and two-up is usually ahead for them all. We owe so much to our ANZAC’s …no matter what war they fought in, as all wars are now represented in the marches, one must wonder how they view the world of today with so many “crack pots” around, all /any of the services would make a man out of our youth, it does make you wonder if national service should be manditory for those on the dole with all it has to offer. Even just short term, to learn a trade, help during fires and floods, above all, to feel our national spirit.
Suejen, what a talent your o/h is, no wonder word has spread, and congrats on the sales๐Ÿ˜Š It’s all behind you now and the excitement of your wonderful trip ahead ๐Ÿ’•
Annie thank you for adding to our recipe thread, everyone looks for new ideas, especially when stuck in the same ol’ rut for fasting day menu’s. You are really grabbing the reins and going for it. It’s funny how that happens, something seems to “click” and it all falls into place, well doneโ˜บ๏ธ
Fit and Jade, love reading the banter and fun between you, the impending excitement is contagious๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿทxx
Hoping to fast today, it IS Monday after all, but being out of routine makes it a bit difficult, but could opt for a semi. I’m going to a skin clinic tomorrow, nearlly 2:00 hrs away, hoping I don’t get lost, for a complete skin check, I know I have a few to be cut out, heaps to be frozen, and no doubt a lecture from the powers that be, but hay, being outdoors IS my way of life, years of it since my teens, and paying for it now!
It’s been ordered by my doctor, who said it’s not far away, just up the road…..yeah right! So thinking, that would be the perfect day for fasting, being 4 hours driving all up, a back which will not appreciate all that sitting, so food will be a long way from my thoughts. I’ll have something prepared for dinner when I get home, so after feeding my animals, it will be easy, just feet up, rest, and eat…if I feel up to it๐Ÿ˜‰
Have a wonderful day team, public holiday here and perfect weather for it, remember why we are having it, and make the most of the freedom that was afforded us through so much sacrifice by these wonderful young people so many years ago โ˜บ๏ธโค๏ธ๐ŸทXxxx

    Mornin’ CG!
Yes, no need to be feeling guilty for sleeping in, especially after a bad night. I hope you get a good rest tonight.๐Ÿ˜ด๐Ÿ’ค Best of luck with the skin specialist and hopefully you don’t do your back any harm by all that driving. Maybe you can set off a little early so that you could take a short break on the journey. I’m with you on honouring all those who sacrificed so much to bring about peace……no generation should be allowed to forget that. โœŒ๏ธ
I’m beginning to despair of getting back into a proper fasting routine….. I was going to try today but OH suggested a lovely outing and it was too nice a day to refuse, I have lunch out tomorrow with ex colleagues from school and on Tuesday I’m bringing a friend, who’s recovering from a stroke, out for lunch.๐Ÿ˜ณ I know it’s lovely to have a social life to enjoy but I really want this wol to work again for me….. I just can’t seem to get back into the swing of things. Grrrr! ๐Ÿ˜ฌ

Hi Fit, you are probably doing better than you think, your appitite is smaller and your choices wiser, or at least, you are aware of “treats” now, rather than them being the norm ๐Ÿ˜‰ Enjoy life darlin’ girl, there are still more “conscious” eating times than treat times in our week…..remember…5:2 is only PART of our life not ALL of it, we CAN incorporate it into our social lives, so enjoyโ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿทxxxx

    Hi all,
What a beautiful day to celebrate Anzac Day. The sun is shining and the birds are singing. Hope that is the case all around the country for all the wonderful Aussies and NZers that are marching ..of course you would be involved Gyps. You elderly veteran will be very stoked to be participating in the parade in a sidecar with you the rider. You are always on hand to help anyone who needs it. So special ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜‡ love that care as much as you do.

SJ..the cases on the bed!! Almost time to take off on such an exciting trip. Children to see as well as places to see. I wish you safe and happy travels!!๐Ÿš™๐Ÿš™โœˆ๏ธโœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿ›ซ๐Ÿ›ฌand great times with your family.

Annie. What can I say. Such an organised lady. You are doing so fabulously, and are an inspiration. I will certainly have to get back on the straight and narrow or you will be catching me up..you must feel so proud of yourself. ๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜‡ We certainly are. ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’Your house filled with lavender..what a beautiful thought.

Jade. I too horded things for years. My OH still does. As you can tell by the amount of things that are getting thrown out. It is such a great feeling to be able to actually see the clothes in the cupboard without shoving them along on the hangers. I had my cupboard full (huge built in to myself) and heaps of boxes of clothes of various sizes stored on the bottom under the hanging. Now that I am sure that I will not put weight back on again I can get rid of all the things that are too big…no more boxes for size 26,24,22 clothes. Oh what a Feeling!!๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—. My son and partner from Canada gave me a book on de cluttering and its benefits. It is sooooo goooood it is amazing the feeling it gives you. Puts a new spring in your step. You should source one of these books. There are pleanty out there. You won’t know yourself when you start!!
Love the fact that you never miss a party. You certainly have a full social life and Life is for living..๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿท๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿท๐Ÿพ.for many years now I have been discretely taking my own nibbles to friends places. They don’t mind and I make enough for all to share. My fav is celery stuffed with Philly cream cheese with sweet chilli sauce on top and cut into bit size pieces, put it on a plate with a few grapes and it looks fab. Quick and easy to prepare at short notice and means that you can still sample what is on offer so as not to offend whilst eating good stuff too. Another trick is to Put some ice in your glass then add half and half red wine and soda water. Nice easy drink …no after effects.
Of course I don’t do this all of the time , I’m certainly no saint, as do love a nice strong scotch or two…or three …or four… just do it when I have lots of party nights together.
Well..I think that is more than enough suggestions from me for one day.

Fit. What a lovely day you have had. Sounds blissful. Hope your back does improve, hot packs are great.

CG. Glen sounds like he is having a great time and settling in as an accomplished traveller. Great stuff.

GG. You are such a delight my friend. Fancy shedding kgs in the week you have had. Well done you are a legend!!๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿค—๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ˜‡. Enjoy Port Douglas. It is lovely that you honour your dad in the very special way that you do. ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•

Best finish up. Daughter and friend coming over for a cup of coffee with us. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ

PH, what great suggestions, just goes to proove, with a bit of thought, social events don’t have to be fraught with dangers๐Ÿ˜Š Just a bit of forward thinking, well done ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ’•xxx

    Good morning team.
Cold morning and now overcast. We dressed for winter this morning .it was very windy and grey to commemorate ANZAC DAY.

PS …I APPLIED FOR MY SENIORS CSRD TODAY ONLINE.LOL CANNOT BELIEVE I DID LOL LOLOL….GO GAL

๐Ÿ˜‚welcome to “old age” GG, once the government puts it in writing it MUST be official! Next is 65 and the pension, ooooo that stings, mine came last Xmas, so the Autumn of my life has started๐Ÿ˜…….but with it comes taking no sh.. From anyone, seeing the world through clearer eyes, not bowing and scraping anymore, just being able to be yourself! It is extremely refreshing as a new sense of freedom takes over. You learn to do what pleases YOU, but you also appreciate the simpler things, such as nature and its beauty, the sounds of silence, a simple “thankyou” ……manners, although always important, take on an immense difference, and as Mothers, we have always understood human fraility, but start to think “what about me” am I not important too? We hurt a lot easier too, because we are usd to putting so many others first, but we learn to speak our minds too, so this whole new chapter in your life will open many new beginnings for you, some will surprise you, as in confronting a boss, others you find you just flow into.., like a new job, without fear or trepidation………again, welcome to your senior years๐Ÿ˜Š
It’s been a busy day for me team, I started putting ironing away and decided I was just craming things in, so started tossing more clothes…….some of that hurt, old favourites……but it has to be done, right! I still had some 16/18’s but putting 12/10’s in their place felt wonderful๐Ÿ˜Š My almost fast is working well, nothing to eat as yet (2:40) still not hungry, but ready for my milky coffee ๐Ÿ˜‰
    Enjoy the holiday team xxxxx

    Hi all!
GG and CG….old is a state of mind and neither of you fits that bill, that’s for sure! You are both so full of energy, vitality and fun! But I do agree that having a few years under your belt brings new freedoms and confidence that enable one to speak out and take no s**t from anyone! BRING IT ON! ๐Ÿ’ชโœŠ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜ƒ
Great news on the weigh in GG…..looks like that plateau is gone for good! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ‘
CG, I hope you get on well with the skin specialist. Take care my dear. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’š
SJ, I hope the packing went well. I’m sure you’re an expert at this stage, although bringing presents for everyone can upset your well practised system. Looking forward to hearing all about your travels and the family. ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ’•
PH, very clever idea to bring your own nibbles when going to friends’ parties, I must keep that in mind. My back is much improved, almost 100%, I’m just being careful not to set it off again so I’m taking things easy.
I’m going to fast until I meet up with my friends after 3pm and try to stay under 500 calls in total for the day. I’m determined to make this wol work no matter what I have in my diary or else I’m just going to keep putting it off and then I’ll be right back where I started…..and that’s not happening! ๐Ÿ˜
Hope everyone else is doing well, remembering the four Ps and sticking to their Aussie determination! Best of luck for the week ahead ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‘โœŠ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Hi Fit, it’s 7:30 and I still haven’t eaten so doubt I will today ๐Ÿ˜Š I’ve been on the computer (screen bigger than the ipad) trying to work out how to get to the skin clinic tomorrow! It’s 90 odd minutes away, but over freeways and highways, and across country roads I’ve never travelled … the mind boggles! Trying to get my head around where to turn off, instead of being stuck on the never never has taken its toll! My head aches!!๐Ÿ˜ฑ Oh give me my home country roads any time. So it hasn’t hurt my fasting one bit anyway, and got lots done in my wardrobe, still a lot to go, and alterations piling up, but all in due course. The Autumn rains should be here soon, so perfect sewing weather๐Ÿ˜Š Have a great day dear friend enjoy your time with your friends, and I agree, age is only a number, but you do see the world a bit clearer, the tunnel vision goes, as do the inhabitions๐Ÿ˜‰

Wow, CG! You’re really kicking ass on the fasting front! Sorry about your headache trying to plan your journey… I suppose you don’t have sat nav…. I don’t either, but my OH has great sense of direction so I’ve become very lazy about finding my way to unusual locations. Maybe you could drop some hints to your s and d about getting one for next birthday or Christmas! Best of luck with the clearing out. I’ve been catching up with refreshing all the bed linen that I had to abandon while my back was acting up…..unfortunately, the weather is not nearly as nice today as it was over the weekend….typical! ๐Ÿ™

Hi Fit appanently my iphone 6 has the navigation app, my Son uses it on his, but I still prefer a hard copy to know where I’m going, the voice on his tells you where to turn, just about AT the turn! …..or x amount of yards ahead…..oh well, another sign of age, still like the old ways with a lot of things๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ’•xx

Vietnam vet delivered to the pub. Good day had By all. xx gyps

Hmmmm! I was wondering how long it would take for the censored version of WTF to come to light! CG! You dark horse….you kept all that shameless flirting very quiet! ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜œ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Like I said Fit, age is only a number๐Ÿ˜Š๐Ÿ’•xx I’ll accept any age!

Gotta go, Tanouie has just faced the Banshee. Did she survive? Well… wouldn’t YOU like to know! Posting sooon! ……Mmm, just had a look at her prospects…. that Nitas is a handsome devil… Oo! Hold onto your hat,(among other bits) Fit, the vortex is dead ahead…… OOwaaaa! xx gyps

PS. as ya can see, I’m just sooo slim these days. NOT! but no fatter, either, We maintain. Yay! 5:2!

Hi Everyone well my bags (yes 2 of for the USA is the allowance) are packed well and truly. The house is totally cleaned with OH’s help – very helpful when the physio said to me Now NO more scrubbing for you my dear, you’ll have to get hubby to do it!! I like her ๐Ÿ™‚ I have summer clothes for for San Francisco & some winter clothes for Canada in case the Rockies are cold (that much further north). Have my son’s requests in there too. So summer is in the big case & winter stuff in the carry-on. Will buy a big warm parka over there as I’m well and truly overdue for one. This year I will succeed in buying one. North Face stuff is so cheap over there but I was never able to buy ANYTHING to fit my hips! This year I should be fine.

Have thrown everything we have left into a pot for tea, something like a chicken cacciatore. Then the fridge is pretty bare. Drive up to Perth sometime in the morning (no rush), park our car at my friend’s place, have dinner with them & then she’ll drive us to the airport. She’s a gem!!! She’s having 2 or 3 stays in our house while we’re away to say thank you for all the nights we’ve had at hers!

Tonight I think I will just crash ion front of the TV. Just a few little odds & ends to check. Didn’t manage another fast but a pretty low-cal day.

Will check in when I can but be aware THAT I AM LURKING OUT THERE, AND CHECKING WHO’S BEEN GOOD OR NAUGHTY WITH 5:2 LADIES! PH I’m impressed with your determination to make 5:2 work with your social calendar. That’s the way to go!!! suejen XXX
Plane flies into the skies at 11.50pm tomorrow night. Then a 7 hour wait in Sydney, and then a direct nearly 14 hour flight to San Francisco. Gracie and Lucy will be at the airport to meet us WOO HOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Oh and my son of course hehe. Yeh cen tell ah’m a tad ecited eh what?! Dinner awaits.

Suejen, all at the ready and nail biting time! I’m excited for you, this is so over due, all that love awaits you….Cuddles dear friend ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜‰xxxxx

    Happy tripping SJ. xx gyps

Brilliant, SJ! I can feel the excitement coming off the screen…..have a wonderful, hugging time with your loved ones ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’ž๐Ÿ˜ƒ Treat yourself to a jazzy new parka, you deserve it. Happy and safe travels to you and OH! ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ›ซ๐Ÿ›ฌ
CG, I like your style! ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ‘
Gyps, thanks for the photos and lifting the lid on what really happened at WTF! ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜ƒ Let’s see if Tanouie takes a leaf out of CG’s book with that devil! ๐Ÿ˜ณ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿ˜‰

Oh such cute photos, Gyps! You girls do rock those smiles, just makes me smile to look at them. CG that feller got a bit close with that cigar ๐Ÿ˜‰ And Gyps pardon my ignorance, didn’t know what a digger was. You’re just even cooler than I already thought you were. ๐Ÿ‘ Happy Anzac Day to you all, and cheers for our loved ones and all who served. โ™ฅ๏ธ GG loved the story of your dad, what a wonderful manโ™ฅ๏ธโ™ฅ๏ธโ™ฅ๏ธ

Bon voyage SJ and may you create tons of happy memories in your travels. Yes you do sound a bit excited and no wonder, you finally get to stop cleaning your house!! Have a fabulous time, hug your family close (more photos please??), enjoy the shopping too – you’ll have plenty of room once the pressies and food are out of your suitcase ๐Ÿช๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ’ฐ If your OH needs to get off and paint, send him here to mingle with the cardinals in our backyard! I will TRY to be good for your peek-ins here, with PH’s help perhaps I can socialize and not end up in the shape I did this weekend. Oh my. the tum has never been so glad to see a Monday roll around.

Thanks for those sorting tips PH, I’m really hoping to get some done this summer. I want that feeling of freedom you describe! May have to use the book to knock OH out while I sneak things out the door. That’s about what his sis and I did when cleaning out his mom’s apartment, because he thinks no photo or book should ever be thrown out, and she had about 65 million of each.

GG big congrats to you for buzzing through the plateau while being party girl extraordinaire! You must have been doing some serious cardio dancing during the celebration – and soon off to Port Douglas for more fun! You deserve it!!! ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿท๐Ÿ˜

Fit, we need an injection of the CG “flu” or whatever Olympic appetite suppressant has taken hold. I have grown a new tire over this past week despite all my running around. I believe it is made of red wine and vodka…not the best appetite suppressants, are they ๐Ÿ™„ Right, got it. But those social events do make it hard, lunch especially as it seems to kick my appetite into gear. Let’s summon our inner AD and kick ass this week. I actually have no social outings (YET) so have no excuse. But I know it can be done, I CAN order a salad. And yes PH, I can even have a wine spritโœจzer instead of a keg of red wine. Surely for one week I can do that! Ok here’s my pledge, on my honor as an honorary Aussie. Full kicks up the backside welcome! ๐Ÿ‘ž๐Ÿ‘ž๐Ÿ˜jade xxx

    Hi there Jade!
I think that would-be Lothario with CG is saying: “Come on, baby, light my fire”! ๐Ÿ˜‰ Personally I’d have the fire extinguisher close by and not just for the cigar!๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜‚
Yes, big kicks required for the pair of us again this week. My new tyre is made of crisps (chips) and peach schnapps….. I blame my big sister ๐Ÿ˜ณ. I’m back from my coffee with ex colleagues and I had a fruit scone with jam…..it looked the least harmful, honest! So, fish and veg later and nothing else….should be reasonably ok. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ˜Š
Only five weeks until you hit Dublin (4 to landing on Irish soil!) Can you believe it? So, serious fasting until then….are you game? โœŠ๐Ÿ’ช๐Ÿ‘Thankfully, my second lunch date this week has been postponed until next, so maybe I can limit the damage if I have just one outing per week ๐Ÿ˜‡๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Lol a fire extinguisher OR maybe some muscle from her young posse?๐Ÿ˜ Though seems to me she’s giving him a good knuckle to the ribs in the photo with Gawd. My money is on CG in any fight ๐Ÿ‘Š including the one with FOOD.
So Fit, you’re on, light saber at the ready here, let’s kick asses and tires and anything else in the way. Because there will be no fasting at the Guinness Storehouse ๐Ÿ˜‚ Kudos on the navigating the obstacle course with just the scone (I can imagine the options! ๐Ÿ’ฃ) and your low-cal dinner plans ๐Ÿณ. So far I’m still lounging with pups and having coffee, greatly inspired, feeling strong. Well, feeling lazy actually but at least I am not lounging in the kitchen! Sometimes I wonder how I ever lost weight before 5:2, as much as I can whine about 2x FDs. No more whining. ๐Ÿ’ช Ready set GO ๐Ÿ˜Žโ˜˜โ™ฅ๏ธxxxx

Good on ya, Jade….I’m a firm believer in a good lounge…..it’s the nearest I come to sport these days! Agreed, no whining, just following our fearless leader into the battle against food twice a week….we can do that, surely? So, the countdown begins…….yippee! ๐Ÿ‡บ๐Ÿ‡ธ๐Ÿ’š๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ช

Countdown in progress ๐Ÿ•‘โ˜˜๐Ÿ˜! Going over my sweater inventory though OH says it’s predicted to be dry and 60s (Fahrenheit) whlle we’re there (how can they possibly know a month in advance?). But uh oh what’s that on the horizon, OH offering dinner at our favorite Mexican restaurant ๐Ÿ˜ฑ Good lord it’s only Monday and already the Book of Job is upon me. But didn’t I just say I could order a salad! Pretty sure I did – and can. Aargh! YES, I will – ๐Ÿ‘ž๐Ÿ‘ž๐Ÿ‘ž. Now to keep my ๐Ÿด out of the kitchen until then. ๐Ÿ’ชxx

Yes, it looks like the start of your week in Dublin will be low 60s and dry and sunny. But I’d bring several light layers as it will no doubt be alot cooler in the mornings and evenings. Also, a good weatherproof rain jacket is essential, as you know! ๐ŸŒฆ๐Ÿ’งโ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿ’จโ›…๏ธ๐ŸŒฅ

Hi team, yes the cigar looks close, it was a cigar bar and Gawd and I went in for a “small” tipple ๐Ÿ˜Š…he was a typical “Yank” on holidays, very friendly as you can see, said he was spending the inheritance before the kids got it โ˜บ๏ธ Typical as in lay back, but right about everthing, full of knowledge but again, very friendly, and I love his accent, can’t remember where he said he was from in the States, but only too please to pose in the pics โ˜บ๏ธ As were the young kids. The bar was a landing with a glorious view of the water,…..no inhabitions at our age ๐Ÿ˜ฑ
Another perfect Autumn day coming up, picturesque sunrise again, clear skies, so no rain, oh how we need it, but enjoying what is on offerโ˜บ๏ธ If you don’t get any check in from me this arvo, you’d better send a search and rescue halicopter out looking for me, golly I hate going somewhere new on the unfamiliar roads that are busy with traffic! THAT sort of excitement, I don’t need.
My fast came in at 220 yesterday, one off, doubt I’d do it again, mainly milky coffee and a couple of whiskeys and coke๐Ÿ˜‰ But wasn’t intending not eating, dinner was at the ready, just didn’t get to it. I don’t recommend doing it, especially if taking meds, (and you are fit and young) our nutrition is so important and a liquid fast doesn’t get it. None of us are that desperate! I’m still not hungry, but will be taking a sandwhich to have on my “tour” with a cappucinno then will have lunch in a cafe near the clinicโ˜บ๏ธ
Have a wonderful holiday sj, thinking of you and feeling your excitement, do stay in touch, and lurking as you say, to keep up with our various conversations and topicsโ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ’•
Shower time team for me, a sunny 25 coming up, oh what to wear, it’s still only 11! Your days are full of choices team, as is your life, if you want different results……make different choices ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ’•xxxxx

Mornin’ CG! Best of luck with your travels today and the doc….hope you don’t get lost because we’d be lost without you! I’m sure you’re right about the liquid fasts….no need to go to those extremes. Enjoy the drive if you can ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ˜ƒ

Hey there CG, do be careful on your long drive. I’m glad to know you have a snack in case you start to feel faint! I’m actually a bit worried about your lack of appetite, so please do check in and let us know how you are. Fit’s right, we’d be quite lost without youโ™ฅ๏ธ And lol I should’ve known he was a yank, the male variety can be legendary in their own minds. ๐Ÿ† I bet he thought he had struck gold finding you ladies!

Well, somehow PH invaded my brain and forced me to clean out the fridge this afternoon! And I don’t mean with my jaws, but an honest full scrub from top to bottom, chucking all sorts of science experiments and composting vegetation. I was after the “sparkle” and I got it ๐Ÿ’ชโœจand bonus, now the dogs have sad-eyed their way into our evening drive, so no Mexican temptations on offer. I’ll likely grill something and luckily there was vegetation in the fridge that had not reached composting stage yet.

Did you make it, Fit, with your ๐Ÿณ and ๐ŸŒฟ dinner? Stay strong! xx

Hey Jade, I managed quite well but some tinned fruit and custard snuck themselves onto the end of the main course….just had a hankering for dessert, hopefully it didn’t amount to too much over the 500. No doubt the scales will tell me off in the morning! Well done on avoiding the Mexican treats…..those pups sure come in handy, day and night…ha, ha๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜ณ

Hi all. I’m just popping in to say hello. I’m about to head off to my podiatrist. What a bummer when one can’t cut ones own toenails. I’ve got crap feet. Bunions, hammer toes the works. At least he sorts them out for me and I’m still able to be fairly mobile, especially if I can find really good, comfortable shoes.
I’m putting off fasting for another week but will probably start again next Monday. It’s been such a long time that I will probably have to read up ” how to do it ” again.
    XX Doggy
    PS Love the pics.

Doggy, great to hear from you again! I sympathise with you about the foot problems. I had a very bad bunion on one foot and couldn’t get any footwear that didn’t cause pain. The first thing I did every day when I got in from work was to take off my shoes. Some evenings the hot throbbing in my foot would keep me awake at night. Eventually, I had an operation to remove it. It was very painful for the first few days after the op but now I’m glad I had it done. I can wear a low heel for special occasions without being crippled and the shape of my foot is much better too. I hope you feel better after your visit to the podiatrist. Best of luck with starting fasting again but don’t rush things. Take care ๐Ÿ’•

Morning/evening all. Great posts to read.
CG wow a liquid day. I could never do that..good luck today…and great pics of you and Gawd and your fun experiences in Sydney. Well done with the de-cluttering also. Feels great does it not.

Jade…you can do anything you really set your mind to see…great choices today. Well done. You and fit sound so excited about your upcoming O\S WTF. We are experiencing the excitement from afar just as you and Fit did with us. It is so exciting!!๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿท๐Ÿท๐Ÿพโœˆ๏ธ.

SJ. The time has finally come. ENJOY my friend.๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’โœˆ๏ธโœˆ๏ธ๐Ÿ›ซ๐Ÿ›ซ. ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’

Gyps. Love ya for your heart full of kindness and joy!๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•

Well done with breaking the plateau GG.

Well I did a good fast day yesterday..came in at 440 cals so first on of the week done and dusted.
WE CAN ALL DO THIS… Busy day today gotta go. Off to the pool then to get some nice flower seedlings to brighten up the back breezeway area for when the family come , followed by a meeting this afternoon with the Secretary of the hall committe to acquit the council grant for re-wiring and painting the inside of the hall. Will bring back memories of working days. ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ
