  • Jade, just watching the morning news, what a cracked pot that Trump comes across as! Now a wall? Is he looking to put his mark on the world landscape for future generations to discover like the pyramids? If he is running the most powerful country in the world, I hope they hide the “button”……….๐Ÿ˜‰xxxxxx

SueJen. I forgot to wish you HAPPY BIRTHDAY. ๐Ÿ’•๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽˆ๐Ÿ’๐ŸŽ๐Ÿ’•๐ŸŽˆ๐Ÿ’๐Ÿ’ welcome to the Age Pensioner stage of this wonderful life. Hope you are pampered all day and have a blast….๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’œ๐Ÿ’

Jade. CG’s post reminded me of the story on the news last night that the Pope is even worried about Trump. Stating that with his views he is not a Christian…because of the wall..would have to hope that these comments make some of his supporters think twice…what a crazy world we live in. And crazies are everywhere…but lucky for us they don’t all run for the President of the US..however they are in power in some of the other countries unfortunately..

Mornin’ CG……great to hear all about Danny and hope that he’s settling in well. I’m not totally sure whether my sister would know the difference but I think for her first stay we’ll play it by the book and see how it goes. The sad thing is nothing gives her pleasure or joy. She has no interests and will not do any group activities or join in with others at all. She has always been socially awkward and I’m sure would have been diagnosed as somewhere on the autistic spectrum if that was known about when she was young. What we have told her is that there will be no difference between staying all day in bed in a private room in a nursing home and what she does now.
Yes, SJ, I’m hoping you’ll be well spoiled today and have a wonderful, memorable birthday that suitably marks the start of this exciting new phase of your life……welcome to the ‘not having to give a bugger’ brigade! Woohoo!

Hi, PH, you snuck in there while I was posting! That’s great about all your ‘new’ old clothes…..it’s a wonderful feeling! Enjoy the visit to Tassie, it will be so special and wonderful. I’ve been having a great time this afternoon playing with my little grand-niece who has come over from her home in France without her parents (my brother went over to fetch her). She is just gone 5 and is not very confident speaking English but we had a lovely time playing with my dog and laughing at all all her antics. Happy days!

Fit. All we need in our lives to make us happy is interaction with a delightful little person…hope you get to enjoy more visits with her.๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ’•

    Hi all.

Annie, it hasn’t come through, I have just checked again. Is the address definitely correct? Anyway, if you have posted your phone number all should work out.

What fun reading everybody’s posts today. Looks like things are going well or improving for most of you.

I am much better at talking in person than writing long posts so am looking forward to doing that with most of you soon. Sorry, Fit!

Fit, today I weigh 66.6. No change but only managed one fast this week so maintaining! ๐Ÿ˜‰

My daughter has come home for the weekend after moving to Sydney. There are 10 people for a bbq lunch today and we made a cheesecake together for dessert. Here I am trying to empty the fridge for the NZ trip and she is madly inviting everyone around for food! It is currently fuller than it has been in a while!

UP, enjoy every minute with your gorgeous daughter. How is she getting on in her new job? Maintaining is better than gaining, and a great result from just one fast. I’m sure your d and friends will empty the fridge in no time! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ’ž

HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU,HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU, HAPPY YOU FABULOUS GAL!HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOU!!!!!!๐Ÿ’–๐Ÿ’–๐ŸŽ‚๐ŸŽ๐ŸŽˆ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿธ๐Ÿน๐Ÿธ๐ŸŒท๐ŸŒธ๐ŸŒน๐ŸŒป๐ŸŒผ๐ŸŒบ๐Ÿ’

Hi all. I’m just having a quick pop in ( I won’t say a quickie !) to say hello. I’ve not got round to reading all the posts other than those concerning Trump. Let’s hope that he does not come up trumps!
I’ve been busy getting all my ducks in a row prior to our OS trip. We leave on Tuesday. I have a favourite nephew staying with us but he leaves today. I’m driving him to the airport within the hour. One of my neighbours had a nasty accident with her lawnmower. It almost amputated her big toe. Anyhow she’s at home on her own so I’ve been popping in to check up on her. I have not fasted for a few days in anticipation of out trip. I will no doubt have a few extra kilos to shed once I get back home.
I don’t know who’s birthday it was but a belated happy birthday.
    XX Doggy.

ANNIE CANNOT FIND YOUR NUMBER ANY WHERE…..GO GAL

Good morning all I’m sitting here with my nice new birthday haircut & style aaaand he gave me a specially long birthday scalp massage – BLISS! I have my new Garmin Vivofit watch on but I think first day it’s going to be enough to just work it all out. It is tracking my steps but only just put it on. So only done 117 so far…phew way to go yet!! Take a bit of getting used to wearing it all the time too – and doing it up! It’s not very 65yo friendly shall we say!! It’s not a fashion statement exactly but the health benefits will outweigh that aspect I reckon once I get it all worked out. Have been able thank goodness to pair it with both my PC & my mobile – thankfully they make that easy for us these days or I wouldn’t have got started at all!

Thanks for all my LOVELY birthday wishes. You’re a VERY SPECIAL BUNCH OF LADIES ๐Ÿ™‚ {{{ }}} Going for coffee with a good friend this afternoon, champers with our best friends who couldn’t come to dinner with us & then off to the japanese restaurant. Pretty relaxed day. Should be skyping sometime soon with my grandies but with my hair app’t I may have missed their bedtime so might have to be tomorrow morning. Daughter from Darwin will call today also.

OK on to enjoy my day. Better start those steps & see what I end up with but might not be many today – everyone deserves to enjoy their birthday but probably will go for a nice walk along the river that I love. suejen XXXX

PS Doggie just in case you don’t post again all the best with your wonderful trip! Hope you have fabulously wonderful time & that everything goes smoothly. XXX

PH you’ll probably post before you go but I know you’re busy so all the best with your packing & trip to Tassie. TOTALLY enjoy meeting that little granddaughter of yours! VERY SPECIAL!! Give her lots of hugs but don’t need to tell you that!

CG will post your photos as soon as I can. XX

“Oh Danny boy, the pipes, the pipes are calling
From glen to glen, and down the mountain side
The summer’s gone, and all the flowers are dying
‘Tis you, ’tis you must go and I must bide.”

CG’s Danny Boy for you – with her very SPECIAL Irish name from Fit! What a world-class group we are!!! More photos in next post (can’t all fit)

Last one for you all – ENJOY!! sj XXXX

Haha CG HOW FUNNY! This last one wouldn’t work & when I looked at the screen in big letters it said ERROR: SLOW DOWN YOU MOVE TOO FAST!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Never had an error message like that before. Sorry CG it also rotated it without asking me! sj

I posted a few days ago … But here it is 0414660547

Happy birthday SJ. You can work up to being a Garmin tragic! At first I thought 4000 steps was great but now I get depressed if I happen to go under 10000. I make sure I don’t. Today I have had a bad day so far -3 muffins at the meeting plus 3 choc chunk handmade bikkies. Having been off sugar so long I feel sick now and not sure what possessed me to eat this stuff but I’ll skip dinner and start fresh tomorrow.
    Anne

Thanks sj, that last pic is Lexie, hasn’t she grown, also the beautiful one with Rocky kissing Danny on the nose, he does that with Lexie too โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ’•…..my babies ๐Ÿ’•Xxxx

WELCOME Danny Boy you cutie pie!! โค๏ธโค๏ธโค๏ธ Oh CG he is absolutely adorable and what a sweet boy Rocky is to give him a kiss. Thank you SJ for posting the photos, hope your birthday was grand ๐ŸŽ‰๐ŸŽ‚ I’ve been out celebrating here with a wee bit of the grape ๐Ÿท and all stocked up on Yellow Tail (a longtime favorite of mine) for a Saturday gathering with a few pals. Happy weekend all – Cheers!

Wow, SJ, CG ‘s photos of Danny are gorgeous!

Annie, I checked spam but not there. Anyway, I see your number is on here OK!

Hi team, I’m glowing like a new mother, getting compliments on her baby ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
Jade, enjoy the Yellow, one of my favourites from the past too, mmmmm (B4 I got onto bourbon)
    โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ’•Xxxxxx

Grab ya’ coffee, CG, I feel a long one coming on……..Pat the baby and say coochie coo for me. calves are so pretty eyed, can see you being mother brown, (of ‘Brown’s cows’).

Happy Birthday Suejen! Sounds like you are off to a good start on enjoying retirement. It just feels like a holiday to start with, but after a few months it all sinks in. That’s when one can become a bit aimless. Like putting off things because there’s plenty of time and no structure to life. Doubt that will happen to you, tho. Sounds like there’s community involvement just lining up to snaffle your time. Just do what you enjoy is my advice. and don’t be afraid to turn off the phone as well as the alarm! I really can’t abide the thing!

Ah,feeling nostalgic for the ‘good old days’ as I gaze in my mirror at the wrinkles and see…..Granny! And me, with fine feathers, off to the big smoke! She would sure get a giggle outa that!

My Life began in deep bush beside creeks where Dad set up our camps to prospect and banjo alluvial tin. We never had power or phones. Never even saw people or mail for months at a time. Every couple of months, a trek for supplies was usually only to a small, one pub place like Reed River rail siding and general store. They were also tin agents, that booked up stores and divvied out cash once the essays on our tin came through, or carried us through til Dad dug it out. Some years we never saw money, either. But when Dad hit a rich patch, he would take us to Townsville and we’d stay with grandma, who had ‘retired'( a bit like putting a D9 dozer in ya’ carport).

Jade, now there was a ‘force of nature’! I’d have to say it’s a big compliment if I’m judged by her ilk. Granny was my match. Mother always had a melt down and gave up on schooling me on any front, poor weak little doll she was. But granny could drive a draught horse team, (or bullocks) bake the lightest sponge cake and was the first woman in North Queensland to own an EJ Holden and drive it, Before we had bitumen roads. Whether she was in a tent with an ant bed floor, or a town house, her surrounds always smelled of beeswax, lavender and something wonderful cooking; On a fire drum or a new fandangled electric stove! She had six children one died of Diptheria and she gave birth to twins (one my mum) on the back of a dray out bush in flood time. My Grand father was a drunk, so finally she took her five surviving kids and left him. Unheard of! there were no supporting mother’s pensions in those days. She took in washing, scrubbed floors when they got older, drove the teams on her own with all the kids piled on. She home schooled all of them. Then found a new man, and ‘shacked up’, scandalous! But there were no divorces either. She finally married him at 74. Charlotte (Lottie) Townsend was a lady, and wouldn’t be seen dead in trousers, or unpressed petticoats, of the starched variety.

I have ‘Charlotte’ as my middle name. I was in awe of her, but never really enjoyed those times at granny’s house, because I was made to wear shoes and a dress (only got around in singlets and knickers out bush. Usually washed in the creek at bath time and hung on a tree to put back on the next day till one set wore out. Only had a pair of boys PJ’s, usually. But Granny wasn’t having a bar of that! She would take me shopping and gussy me up with frills and ribbons and I was supposed to behave ‘like a young lady”, Ha! while my brothers got away with being still wild? Fat chance! However. She was the one who taught me to Aim high, do it all and then decide what I wanted, from a position of choice, not ignorance……sigh…. so I have to admit I do know how to use a phone. I just don’t like them using me! Especially telemarketers! I refuse to hold them up to my ear for long chats and the print is too small for messing with much, So they are not a social instrument for me.

But the number is 0439532814, if any of you are ever desperate. (like you might need to find me when I get lost in Sydney!)

ANNIE, My EMAIL is gypsybell3@bigpond.com if you want to take pot luck and relay something to GG through me.

No scammer is likely to take advantage of that, because unless I’m looking for something I forget to look at it, too and there’s no banking details on line. They won’t turn up at my door, either. There’s no known address (unless ya KNOW me!)

And I’m not in the phone book because my scrub hut was built before the town and doesn’t actually exist on any street directory. That has it’s ups and downs. Especially now that all essential services are centralized. Heh,heh, try directing an ambulance, (via Canberra call centre) to a non existent street! Or get Telstra to come check the line. I am actually at the back of a tiny park that fronts the main street, and hides me in the tree line (or used to completely till the big weeping fig out front got blown down in Cyclone Yasi), with the river behind me. It has the feel of seclusion again now my trees are regrowing, but in reality I’m across the road from the pub and the post office and the ambulance station is about 200 metre away. Have I told youse all this before? Better stop rambling. Fasting you know.

Anyway, Have decided it’s time. Yep, I’m definitely gunna do it. Make granny proud. Get your camera’s ready, I’M GUNNA WEAR A SKIRT! Haven’t worn a dress since trousers became optional for nurses, and maybe 30 years, socially. But I got a wiz banger for the Miranda jag. Woohoo! Light ya’ rockets! blast offff! going now. (gotta practice walking in ladies shoes) xx Zelda.

Woohoo Gyps, good on ya, puttin’ on airs just for us ๐Ÿ’ฅ๐Ÿ˜ฑ
Loved the family tale as always too, got the “coffee” first, well, bourbon this time of day, and enjoyed the read ๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿ˜ƒ but of course, we would rather you be yourself “mostly” as I’m sure we all will be (after the first polite meeting) enjoy your evening ๐Ÿ’•โ˜บ๏ธXxxxxx

Really?…. Jade just did a back read to catch up. Lawyer, Huh? well that’s handy. Best keep yore phone on during WTF, counsellor. Can ya’ brush up on Bail procedure in the Colonies?

So is it grad college or Uni lecturing you do? Not primary school? Aren’t we just such a crack unit for whatever ails ya!

Ha, Ha, and for all the above rave, Let’s hope our pacemakers hold out for the duration. I’ll be toting a load…. sigh… the dratted leprechaun just made me toasted hot cross buns with butter AND cream with strawberry jam! He didn’t realize I was still trying to do yesterday’s fouled fast. Oh, well Might as well have a creamy coffee, too, mmmmm. Tomorrow then..

How do you add pictures to the forum?? I cant see any way to attach?

No worries, boss, Not much chance of airs and graces here. Just fun to have a girls thing going. Women are so much more down to earth when there’s no males around. Reminds me of Nurses gasping over irreverent jokes in the pan room. Not a lotta air left in one’s ego after that school! And GG is definitely NOT tame!

I imagine the most fun we’ll have is just being ourselves in a BIG way! I’m a shy little thing, really…. It’s that Gawdmuther (Gailo) you gotta watch…she’s not tame, either, so they’ll be a pair. But we all have two sides (the fun and the serious). Gailo is a fun person.

But on base level, I figure you two are possible peas in a pod(apart from the name) I wouldn’t want to bet who would shoot first if anyone picked on an animal(or a friend) around either of you. A very capable lady, who saves the world before it knows it’s even in trouble. Heart as big as Texas, just like you. You’ll have plenty to talk about. She has cattle careering across the paddock for a pat wherever she goes on her 160 acres. And their kelpie dogs and short horses love her to bits. She hasn’t rung in to report her progress, so I expect she’s either killed herself trying, or planning to kill me for dangling the carrot.( a Tango skirt one size too small). What are friends for, huh?. Do believe I’ll have a rum… Cheers! Gyps

Annie, you have to upload your photos onto a web host site. we use ‘Photo Bucket’ here’s the link http://s1072.photobucket.com/user/gypsybell3/library/?sort=3&page=1

Once you’ve done that. click on the photo. It will make the photo bigger and take you to another screen.

Beside the photo you will see 4 boxes. ignore what is written in them and do NOT at any time click on any of the boxes.

Look beside the boxes and you will see a code beside each. The second box FROM THE BOTTOM (or 3rd from the top) should have the code HTML beside it.

Click on that (the HTML CODE not the box) but watch the box as you click. It will flash yellow and show the word ‘copied’ , just for a second or two, so easy to miss. but even if you miss it, it is done.

You now have to go back to our thread and ‘paste’ it in the chat box. You will have done it right if you see a longish paragraph of gobbledegook code come up on the chat box. You can add words or captions under or above the code. and then ‘submit’. the photo will appear when it’s posted.

It helps if you have two screens up and minimize, so you can go back and forth for more than one photo. You can’t put more than 3 in one posting and can only copy and paste one at a time. Hope that helps. Looking forward to meeting you in Sydney. Cheers! Gyps

GYPS…YOU ARE SO RIGHT …YOUR TRESURE IS FROM TAME!!! I CAN BEAT OR JOIN… HOWEVER WOULD PREFER TO JOIN. NO! I DO NOT HAVE A SPLIT PERSONALITY, JUST GO WITH THE FLOW….. AS YOU WELL KNOW NURSING TEACHES YOU THAT. BE COMPASSIONATE BUT BE PASSIVE ASSERTIVE. I’ M AN ARIES …WHAT MORE WOULD YOU EXPECT! I AM GOING TO BED ….TOTALLY EXHUSTED…..GO GAL

    Hi all!
OMG! Zelda certainly got her to have her say today, didn’t she Gyps? What a wonderful tale…they will definitely have to make a film of your life! Now, who would play you…..and more to the point, who would be the eye candy?!๐Ÿ˜‰ Great to hear all the preparations for the WTF tour are going so well……Gyps in a skirt…..hold the front page!!
Dawg, I hope you have a terrific trip and don’t worry about 5:2 when you’re away…..you know you can tackle it again when you get back. I’m so glad you enjoyed having your fav nephew to stay, what a lovely and special relationship you have.
AA, hope your details have been picked up by the ladies now and that you will hook up with the gang for all the craic! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
GG, sounds like you’re already on a high, you’ll be fit to burst by the time the reunion starts! ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿน๐Ÿ’œ
SJ, delighted to hear that you have been having a wonderful birthday and a brilliant start to your retirement. Thank you so much for posting the adorable photos of Danny and the other animals….how cute are they!
CG, no wonder you’re such a proud mamma! Lexie is looking so strong and healthy and Danny has that newborn wobbly look, so cute! Rocky is amazing too….what a lovely family!
Jade, great to hear that you’re letting your hair down and having a well deserved few ๐Ÿท๐Ÿท๐Ÿธ๐Ÿน!
I’m going to my BIL’s house for a meal this evening with all of OH’s siblings, so that will be fun. Unfortunately I won’t be able to have any wine because it’s my turn to drive but it will still be a fun evening. Enjoy the rest of the weekend y’all! ๐Ÿ’ƒ๐Ÿ‘œ๐Ÿ’…๐Ÿถ๐ŸŽค๐Ÿšถ๐Ÿ’„๐Ÿ’‡๐ŸŒป๐Ÿ’๐Ÿป๐Ÿซ๐ŸŠ๐Ÿ›€

Hi All Back after having champers at our friends first and then dinner at the Japanese tempura restaurant. My goodness it was soo delicious! I was disappointed at first that Miki the chef had a night off. But then his birthday is the same night as mine so fair enough if he wants a night off! Anyway food was as scrumptious as ever. 5 or was it 6 courses for the evening – all quite small but beautifully presented & decorated & flavours to die for. But you still end up feeling quite full at the end of it. and especially after a couple of champers then a wine then finished with a glass of sake. Mmm my head needs the bed I think!

Had a beautiful memorable day anyway. Calls from friends waiting tonight too. Ooh the even BIGGER event of the night was that I nearly burned the house down trying to be very organised! OH popped into the house after our champers & called out What have you burned????? When I was changing I had put a chicken breast on to poach. Then we went out & I totally forgot it. An hour or so later it & the pot was bone dry & VERY VEERRRRYYY black (deal with that tomorrow) & the house was full of smoke!! Have to check our smoke alarm as it didn’t go off but I had left lots of windows open cos it was a hot day so maybe that’s why. Aah you gotta laugh or you could cry….so much for getting ready for the church lunch tomorrow! Might be a pot luck type of effort!!

Well my head’s telling me it’s time for bed. suejen XXXX

Oh ho, the legend of Zelda is in rare form – what a treat to hear about your upbringing and the mighty Charlotte! Acorn didn’t fall far from that tree did it?? Wish I could introduce you to my older brother who can spin a tale (though with many embellishments) and keep you entertained for yours. I’ve no doubt some legendary tales will be born at this WTF thing. Darn, wish I really was an Aussie now. Instead of being surrounded by every Jack and his uncle running for Prez๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜Ÿ๐Ÿ™„๐Ÿ˜ฌ๐Ÿ˜ฉ๐Ÿ˜–๐Ÿ˜ญ๐Ÿค” Maybe I should brush up on bail procedure in Sydney ๐Ÿ‘ฎ It wouldn’t be the first time someone rang me about the odd nighttime felony or two, obstructing justice, that kind of thing. So yes, btw my “kids” are law students, postgrad here though they act like tiny children sometimes.

SJ happy afterglow birthday, so glad you had a lovely meal, felt cherished, and had lotsa fun. Hope you are now sleeping off the ๐Ÿท๐Ÿท๐Ÿ’ค No flying ๐Ÿค๐Ÿค I gather?
Darn I want a baby calf now too. CG he really is too cute for words. I’m sure if youngest D still lived at home she’d have adopted a few more stray critters for us. The herd has thinned out quite a bit since she left the nest. ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿญ๐Ÿน๐Ÿฐ๐Ÿฃ๐Ÿฅ๐Ÿ‡๐Ÿ™‰๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿฏ๐Ÿน

Good afternoon Fit! Is it another soft day over there or might the โ˜€๏ธ be out for you? It is shining here, OH has said perhaps we should go shop for a new (new to us anyway) car. I am betting I can sit here with coffee very quietly and the idea will pass. Enjoy the partying with OH’s family, sorry that you’re the designated driver but maybe a small nip early on wouldn’t hurt? I have folks coming in here so looks like I might have to vac up all the dust bunnies – just happy it’s Saturday and no office to go to! xxxx

Yes, Jade, it’s another soft day here and a nightmare for anyone who has hair inclined to frizz! It’s about the only time I’m glad I don’t have enough hair for that to matter! Just finished getting my sister up and giving her some lunch. Thankfully she seems to have accepted that she will be going for respite in the not too distant future, so that’s a step in the right direction. Enjoy the good company of friends and don’t stress about the dust bunnies…..mine are more like doghair tumbleweed! ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜ƒ

SJ, that was a close call with the burnt out chicken and nearly became a birthday to remember for all the wrong reasons. Hopefully it won’t be too hard to get everything back to rights! Also hope your head is OK in the morning…..don’t think I’d be able for sake! ๐Ÿ˜–

Say, Fit did you see the news about tumbleweeds in Oz? Now that is some serious tumbling. They were up to the roof by one house! I had about as many leaves on our patio, pound for pound, but just had a work-out session with the rake ๐Ÿ‹ so that played out nicely.
I’m glad things are calm with your sis, so happy you have joyful friends and family in your life. All about balance isn’t it โ˜บ๏ธ Oh and thanks for commenting about SJ and the burning pot, I laughed out loud b/c have done the same thing, also luckily nothing but smoke and a ruined meal (and pot!). Gonna be hard to live that one down, Sue, I’m just warning you ๐Ÿ˜„ But as the birthday girl, you should get a free pass from any criticism!!
The pups are giving me the sad-eye because it’s past time for errands, which means a car ride to the bakery and recycling. They get excited as soon as I put on my Saturday shoes ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ – Guess I’ll go make their dreams come true. xxx

Wow Jade, just googled that tumbleweed. Scary stuff! I won’t complain about Molly’s hairs anymore!

Hi team, quick coffee and read before feeding Danny. What you call tumble weeds are willy willy’s here, they are minature cyclones, usually in the desert areas, and they pull up dead shrubs, which took like tumble weeds. My Dad is from our Mallee, very dry arid area, and he said they were quite big at times, and very common, as were the dust storms.
At least your sister has accepted the respite Fit, so at least it will be easier for you when the time comes. Learn to take advantage of them, I don’t know how often you are allowed to use the service, but do it as practice for her. ๐Ÿ˜€
Suejen, I’ve done the same thing, ended up with a black pot, wasn’t long ago either, the boys had a very crispy black chicken breast chopped up through their dinner, so not a total waste! What a fabulous day you had, I’m wondering if you have a little man in your head with a hammer when you wake ๐Ÿ˜ฑ but that will pass and the memories will linger ๐Ÿ˜ƒ
Jade, how clever are you, I was feeling sorry for you being with “kids” all day, but young legal minds would be so interesting ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Do you set cases as exams?
28-30 expected here today, so could be lovely, glorious morning now,so perfect outside weather, unfortunately my ironing is “inside” so threatening to do it has come to pass….if I don’t do it, the pile just keeps growing grrrrr,
I did get Netflix so have been watching the Suits series, which is all court cases etc which I love, so got the full series, and that passes the time whilst ironing. Movie wise with Netflix is pretty lame, I’ve seen most of them on Foxtel, and most movies are so old, it’s insulting! Not a lot in the genre I like (drama) either, so doubt I will be keeping it for long. I believe they have a better choice in the States, but hay…we don’t live there and still pay the same! They don’t even have James Bond for a bit of action!
Have a relaxing Sunday team, it’s a day of rest , so treat yourself to some “feet up” time ๐Ÿ˜€๐Ÿ’•xxxxx

Hi, heading to NZ at the crack of dawn tomorrow
will probably not appear much on here for a couple of weeks. Cheers all

Mornin CG! Very late getting back to you as I was out for the evening. OH and I had a lovely time at his brother’s house with his other brother and sister and their OHs. The food was fab with an amazing chocolate cake for dessert….yummy! ๐Ÿ˜‹ Thanks for the explanation of the tumbleweed……it’s great to keep on learning about your spectacular country.
UP, Bon voyage and have a brilliant time! ๐Ÿ˜„

Fit, I think tumbleweed is an American term ๐Ÿ˜ƒ Could be wrong, but I think that’s where it comes from. I suppose we all have them, but give them “our” own pet name ๐Ÿ˜Š I’m happy for you that you had a nice social evening with family and yummy food ๐Ÿ˜€ Things are starting to work for you, and not before time ๐Ÿ’•
Up, have a lovely trip, unsure if it’s business or pleasure, but either way, enjoy what you can โ˜บ๏ธ Xxxxxx

Helloooooooooooo? Where is everybody? You must all have had some Sunday! I’m afraid mine is not shaping up to be very exciting. Very wet, drizzly sort of a day here with a sweeping rain so I’ll just bring my sister here for the afternoon and sit in by the fire. Happy fasting for the week ahead and remember your five P’s. Determined to get into the 65s this week ๐Ÿ˜

Hello all. Hope the trips go well, the birthday girl had a great time and the new family additions are going well. I have been away at a sewing retreat in Parkes over the last three days and have managed to still weigh in at another Kg lighter so I am starting to think I am “nearly” on top of this food routine. I am having a FD today and probably Wednesday. They seemed to be more convenient at the moment.
I hope those who are suffering with aches and pains are finding some relief. I do feel for you and wish you well. Barb xxx

Hi FIT our posts must have crossed. How are you? I wish I was looking at 75 but not yet. I don’t think I will make it before I leave for Vietnam which is a real shame. Barb

Hi Barb, you are doing brilliantly….you just lost another kg! That’s fantastic! You know, we all set ourselves these deadlines and it can work against us if we don’t meet them. But remember you are still losing all the time, so keep up the good work and know that you will hit those 75s soon. Hope you had a great time at the sewing retreat, you can compare notes with SJ , GG and PH and other talented ladies here. Best of luck with the fasting…..you can do this! ๐Ÿ˜ƒ๐Ÿ‘

Hi Gang, just checking in to say good night. long day, nothing happening with the weather here. But Figi is a mess and cyclone Winston is still on line for our coast. Bugga of a thing. fingers crossed. sorry for the Figians. nite, all gyps

Helloooo Fit – yep looks like our Aussies have been busy offline! Lazy day here for me though not a “soft” one but quite sunny. I got out for a long dog walk with a friend yesterday, over 15,000 steps and I was really feeling them towards the end. I hadn’t eaten anything beforehand either, in anticipation of a BBQ and tequila dinner later. That dream came true in fine fashion, so I’m feeling a bit upside down at the moment โ˜  but coffee is helping. Had a quick talk with my mom, she can’t really follow a conversation but was laughing and playing along so it does cheer me to know she is good spirits. I do miss really talking with her.

I’ve finished my grading with a big wide Sunday ahead, so I’m thinking about doing a bit of digging for my future veggie/herb garden. ๐Ÿ†๐ŸŒฝThere are mole trails all over so I hope I don’t run into one of those creepy critters ๐Ÿพ
Barb, well done on the continued loss. It will all happen in due time, though not necessarily the time we tell it to happen HA. Fit’s right, of course, about deadlines. Especially if you base them on scale weight – I feel better not using the darn things. I know my students are the same way, they are learning so much, yet then they get a bad grade and get discouraged. Oh and yes, CG my students are all in their 20s at least; we get a few in their 30s-40s who want a career change and some retired folks, too, but mostly they start around age 22, right after college.โš–

Now let’s see if I can find that shovel and go work off some tequila ๐Ÿธโ› happy day to all, bon voyage Fit and soon, Dawg too? Then the WTF, how exciting! ๐Ÿš‚โœˆ๏ธ๐ŸšŒโ›ด I’ll be digging up my backyard if anyone needs me ๐Ÿ˜…jade xxxx
ps Gyps, just saw about Figi, awful news.

Hi there Jade! Hope you enjoy your day’s gardening and that your head soon clears! Hic! ๐Ÿ˜‰๐Ÿ˜ƒ Take care using any sharp implements! It’s absolutely peeing down here now, so romantic notions of a soft day have gone right out the window. Still, it’s nothing as bad as a cyclone so God help any people in the path of one of those. Hope you and yours stay safe, Gyps…..the world’s weather has definitely gone to extremes all over the planet this year. Take care, everybody, especially if you’re travelling. ๐Ÿ’žโค๏ธ๐Ÿ’œ

Rats, tried to upload a photo of my cat curled up on the sofa – as a suggestion for how to pass a rainy day ๐Ÿ™‚ Not very good at the photobucket thing, all that appeared was the link. But for all those in weather’s way, stay safe and dry! xx
ps: now truly off to find that shovel and get into the dirt.

    THERE he is:
