Day 26 / UK / NFD (CD)
April is just too busy for its own good! Tomorrow it’s market day on campus and I have made an executive decision: instead of my customary soup I will treat myself to lunch and it is likely to include dessert. Unless I will be so snowed under at work that I completely forget about it I’d feel deprived and I can always fast next Wednesday when there is no market day–even though that won’t count towards April anymore 😉
Thank you @okeydokey she is much better had a small meal and keeping it down, drinking plenty of water and currently sleeping like a baby!! Well she is the only baby I have after all.
Day 25 Florida USA FD The way I did it today I don’t recommend. I had a light breakfast, so far so good. Then for my only other meal I had a 3pm lunch which brought me up to 400 calories. I’m feeling very hungry now and however I use that last 100 will still leave me hungry at bedtime, I expect. It works better when my 2 meals are around 8am and 5pm. Lesson learned. I weigh in on Thursday. Not hopeful as my loss has been glacial this time around, that’s why I’m in the group. Need to believe- I’ve done it before and can do it again!

@onahealthyhigh – very glad to hear that you got rid of the unwanted guests! I last had them quite a few years back, at Mitcham during something of an epidemic, and I was a bit nervous that we might be in an epidemic of the little trouble-makers again. Now we are a bit further east and so far haven’t had any.
Have had a good b2b and feel able to add another today, so I’m adding myself to the pocket, for extra inspiration!

@ciren2 – I feel your disappointment: after a recent slump I got somewhat disheartened/nervous. I hope you can do whatever is necessary to take any pressure off yourself, as it can be demotivating. Remembering that it is a lifestyle choice that might ebb and flow – you are still doing ‘something’ to help yourself stay healthy and that’s what will make the difference over time. I will be keen to hear how it goes, whenever you check in, and sending as much positive vibe as possible to you.
@biddiev I’m in Caulfield. A visit to the local Woolies confirmed there’s a plague here. Rats also, but I’ve only seen evidence outside thankfully. I’m putting it down to the torrential rain we’ve been having driving them inside. I do hope you stay plague free they’re difficult little blighters to get rid of. Found a new little ‘parcel’ since I posted this morning! Hopefully it’s one I missed during the clean up.

It’s a nightmare trying to copy and paste ,I’ve found for some reason if you press down on the text not the list it makes it a bit easier – but you have to remember to delete I once stole someone’s post for the day, glad you have fond memories of the Lido it’s been in a terrible state for a while but due to reopen this year.

Can’t believe I’ve had to catch up on so many days! :/
Work has been busy but I’m getting to the last bit of my project now – thank GOD. It’s been a long slog.
Yesterday’s fast was probably the best so far. I wasn’t madly hungry, I didn’t get a headache, and I even managed to go to the gym to do some light upper body weight stuff. I’m hoping that now I can do more exercise the weight will come off a little quicker – but still seems to be a steady 0.2kg or so per week.

I had an ok FD yesterday although when I found I had 120 cals ‘spare’ I set out to find something to eat although I wasn’t actually hungry!!!! Hello Lindt hazelnut choc……1 square is 90 cals…………… so of course I had 2!!!!

I have repasted @at‘s last quote because, along with our Pocketeers list, that is how I got through yesterday’s FD. For some reason I found it really hard going but refused to give in. Today will be successful too.
It seems that many of us on this April challenge have had a strange month for one reason or another. We’ve had our ups and downs, slips and blips, joyful times and sad times and it sounds like there are quite a few of us who will be happy if we simply stay the same weight we were when we started the month. However, I’m not feeling down about this at all. I have asked myself – ‘where would I be now if I hadn’t joined the April challenge – or the February/March challenges for that matter’. The answer is that I would be feeling very unhappy, hopeless and lonely – and easily a stone heavier than I am now!.
My friends on this forum have literally changed my life for the better. So for anyone who is doubting whether they should be part of the May challenge – ask yourself how you will feel if you don’t.
@skinnylove – you have made a very sensible decision re lunch. You are listening to what your mind and body are asking for right now. By being in control and making a decision you are giving your sceptical sub conscious the right message. You are in control and will decide when you fast or otherwise. Enjoy lunch, you deserve it.
@jarbia – great to hear you’re on the up. I look forward to seeing you in the May challenge.
@debster251 – yes, the trick to copying and pasting the pocketeers list is to copy a line of text above the names and then remember to delete that line of text – unless you wish to keep it in.

Another FD today to try and eliminate the damage done over Easter. From reading these posts I realise I’m not alone with this issue! I’ll put myself on the pocketeers list for some extra ooommpphh!! It’s strange, but on NFDs I think I obsess more about food than on FDs, probably because I’m ‘allowed’ to have some… so it seems to be a constant presence. Must try and see if I can shake that. Proper meal planning might help. Good luck everyone.

Day 26 Maine NFD
Good morning all – another rainy day – dreary! Wanted to get out in the garden… not today! Too wet to even bundle up for a walk – maybe later.
Pretty good NFD yesterday – not weighing myself till after tomorrow’s fast. Watched dr. Oz this morning on diabetes…my biggest fear & motivator. His diabetes diet has 6 small meals a day. I have never been successful sticking to that. The 5/2 has really been the easiest WOE I’ve ever attempted – planning on this being my WOL for the duration. Good tips, tho, for mindful NFD eating plan. Protein, fiber, healthy fats, low sugar fruit.
@okey-dokey – I join those in thanking you for your exceptional leadership this month. Truly an amazing amount of work & the best cheerleader we could ask for! We so appreciate you!
Now to getting something productive done – forced to stay inside, but there are many cabinets I can organize! Need to feel like I’ve accomplished something at the end of the day!
