18lbs to lose by June/July – HELP!

    I started the 5:2 diet yesterday with Mondays & Thursdays being my fast days -completed my first fast day but not to a complete success as I went over the 500 calorie threshold. Hoping it doesn’t affect me too much. Plan is to lose 18lbs by June/July – currently weigh in at 154 with a goal weight of 136lbs.

    Would be grateful for any tips on how to be successful on this diet? 🙂

    You sound like me, I want to lose 23lb by the end of July, to get to a goal of 136lb. I’m just starting out too. I’m quite nervous though, I had a dabble a couple of weeks ago and found I was really grumpy on the fast days and ate loads too much on the normal days.

    I started two weeks ago – first week went well as I lost 1.8lbs and then the second week I really struggled on both fast days – ended up going over my calorie intake and putting on the 1.8lbs I lost! -_-

    Week 3 starts today and so far so good. Really going to push myself as time is slowly running out!
