  • Hello Southern Hemispherites!!

Sunday Fast Day here in the Cinque home.
Cold and grey and damp outside so I’d really prefer comfort food. That’s bad. Well, luckily cups of tea and then a pot of coffee is comfort food for me. That’s good.

(Little soliloquy for those of you who did ‘That’s bad, that’s good’ stories at school)

Well, just quietly I’m glad there haven’t been too many posts over the last couple of days, it will give me a chance to catch up!

Ooh Thin, that tunnel. I hope the damage was just a scrape, and that it wasn’t a scrape on your new paintwork. I had heard of the old way of legging it through tunnels, but I didn’t realise the tunnels could be that long, and I had somehow imagined them with their feet reaching up to the roof, rather than the sides (which makes so much better sense, haha), so good to see the pic in your link Lindsay.

Betsy, it must be good to be on the next step of fixing the great drainage debacle, with a bit more clarity. I do so hope you have a nice process of good people to give you the best advice, and then to do the best work.

Cali, Doesn’t doing small normal things that enrich our lives hold a special pleasure at the moment.

Gday, congratulations on the job interview, I’ll have my fingers crossed for you. Sensible decision ditching the stupid application.

I’m with Mr Gday watching Masterchef this year! I did love the first couple of seasons but then got too irritated by the raa raa hype stuff, and have mostly watched only the first and last 10 minutes most of this season, now the numbers are smaller I am starting to really enjoy it.

Such good points you make about eating well at home when we are stuck there and bored. And especially hard if there is beautiful home made bread available all the time.
I think communities over the world are dealing with too much snacking and too much drinking.

Congratulations on that delicious sounding bone broth. I do love that meat jelly.

I made a delicious stew with my gravy beef. A Persian stew but basic (onions, tomato, cinnamon, paprika) and cooked in my wonderful pressure cooker, and that has set (in the various containers for fridge and freezer) into rich jelly too.

Off to make that comforting pot of coffee. To be continued!

    USA Day 23 NFD

Both my WFD and my NFD went well. Tomorrow will be another WFD. Hope everyone had a pleasant day!

  • Rabbette and 165GW kicking ass with great focus in 2020. Everyone welcome.

May 23: 175.5lb this morning at 20h fasted. Currently continuing the fast to 48h tomorrow morning.

Yesterday I did the Week 3 Day 1 run, which included running for 3 minutes (twice), and this time I’m running, not jogging! It was a great exercise and I felt fantastic.

It seems that this Pattern is working out well! I used to prefer to start my fasts in the evenings, which made a 36-42h fast very easy, but 48 was a stretch and felt too challenging.

Now that I started in the morning for the second time, 48h is a breeze! Even if I end up feeling peckish tonight, this is something I mostly deal rather well. My reward would be an entire 48h fast!! And so achievable too.

The plan for tomorrow is to have a mostly liquids day–a light day. I have all I need for bluebberry, spinach, cauliflower smoothies! I just learned about adding cauliflower to smoothies. My kids haven’t even noticed (they had a frozen fruit mix + cauliflower). I have no miso or V8 left.

Another liquid treat for tomorrow is egg latte! https://www.bulletproof.com/recipes/bulletproof-diet-recipes/bulletproof-egg-coffee-recipe-2b3c2g/

I suspect I will be feeling much hugrier on the day AFTER the light day, but maybe this will help me to break through the plateau and start losing again.

  • Fat Busting Brits!!

Made sausage rolls today for the boy during the week…so had that for mid afternoon! Late fish and rice from the OH so hopefully jot over the top today.

And tomorrow is always slammed from 7.30 to 1ish so as long as I don’t snack at the church office then I’ll do pancakes at 1…yum!

Ate the biscuits I left yesterday 😱. Apart from that haven’t pigged out. Lamb tonight and Rioja. I hope you don’t mean Charlie joined you in the wine Jean! No wonder he was excited. No rain here either, wind has dropped and a lovely sunny evening. We haven’t had a spot of rain so back to the watering.
Fast day tomorrow, must admit I am not looking forward to it. Must be strong. Who is with me?

  • Fat Busting Brits!!

    Hedgehog..
Had daughter on and she was very chatty, I don’t think she realises how upset I am……I don’t think I will go down again..I have a grandson 21 in August…I would only go for that if we are normal again …he’s lovely.
Hope Xenia’s ok after the sickness they are tinkers at eating sticks and grass..good the pizzas are up and running again…

    Day 23 USA (Illinois) NFD

Going to do a 16:8 today. There is a ‘drive-by’ baby shower this noon (advertised to be giving out cupcakes…) then having Chinese take-out for supper this evening. Can’t exactly fast with this. Will fast on Monday.

@betsylee — congrats on your milestone! It’s always so good to see progress.

@penz — thank you for agreeing to take on June. I love seeing this forum with old friends and new each month.

    Onward and downward.

    Afternoon all!
Anne- hi & welcome! Would be nice to have you here, it really helps especially on FDs…
Dave- frustrating with the holiday (& Denise!), I’m sure you’ll hear soon…
Shame about the bowling, but given how vulnerable most of the bowlers are it’s not surprising.
Mel- 2 stone is great, just a little blip with the lockdown, you’ve done well, it could easily have all gone back on!
Jean- a shame your family are funny about Charlie, you’ve mentioned it before. I would’ve thought the boys would like him, he’s such a lovely, friendly boy!
Minols- the brunch sounded lovely! Good that your son is still able to do BB things on zoom…keep strong today!
Endellion- enjoy the salsa if you do it. Maybe you overdid the handstands yesterday?! Your food today sounds lovely, as usual!
Nana- enjoy your day, whatever you do!
Kay- you’ve gone quiet again, hope everything’s okay…
Went out early with Xena- no sticks today as she was sick overnight, some little bits of wood came up, yuk! She found a manky ball on our walk today instead! Hoovered out the car, was just about to do the outside when we had a downpour! So that’s on hold, indoor stuff to do instead! Hubby is happy as Asda had the only pizza he’ll eat back in stock again, so pizza for us tonight, I’ll make a keto one for me.

Anne I can’t do anything,my wife booked it on her debit card and is stubborn so she will not do anything until we get the email from them. I was talking to a lady when I was in a queue outside B&Q,she said she kept trying to get through on the phone, eventually she called to book an holiday and got straight through so she asked for a refund instead of booking an holiday.Denise won’t do either so will have to wait and see. We may never go abroad again if we are not going to be covered by insurance.Still can’t go bowling the Manchester city council are blocking it until the do a overhaul whatever that means. Think they are worried because most bowlers are not getting any younger.

Day 23, FD. Checking in today; nice sunny morning after quite a lot of rain yesterday here in Northern Virginia. Lots of little gardening tasks to do, so will get some exercise that way. So far this month have lost 2 kg, so it is a good start, and encouraging. I really have to restrict carbs in order to lose weight consistently; and I love to bake and eat all carbs! Reading about everyone’s struggles and successes is so encouraging.
Take care, all. And poor @flourbaby, I hope that tooth is soon better. Your dentist is certainly not in a hurry to take care of it!

Goodness so windy out, lots of branches down..not many people about this morning…

    Anne..
We are a friendly group, it’s so hard on lock down for us all..it’s doing the best we can…

    Mel..
The annoying thing with my daughter is she has a lovely old dog Oscar, King Charles Spaniel. We have had him over loads of weekends when they have gone away ( and grandchildren) and I think about 6 two weeks holidays to save him going into kennels. When visiting us she always brought him, if she was going to the big shopping outlet near us they would drop him off while shopping…Both dogs get on well..
The grandchildren are old now they look after him..so we are now redundant!!….moan over!

Well done on two stone off a big amount over the year…it’s hard for us all at the moment..well me 😂

    Minols..
I don’t play Fortnite now..when I updated my iPad..I had no space left for the new App…shame…I speak to them all every day so we are close…daughter should have been here in June with the children ☹️..she will come next year. They are younger and maybe safer than me.
Breakfast sounded lovely, cream for me not yogurt 😂

  • Hello Southern Hemispherites!!

Thin, it is a truck sized mobile med centre with capacity for three patients. It goes to a different location every day as long as the hospital has enough staff and there are enough patients. Otherwise I drive 25 miles into town, which I will do for my Monday blood test because our surgery, where they are usually done, is closed for the public holiday.

My computer won’t let me leave this page to check without losing the post, but I seem to recall an impressive viaduct on your route?

    Day 23 – South Africa 🇿🇦 – NFD

Just checking in. This weekend will be the first time I’ve done three NFDs in a row for ages, so it feels a bit reckless. I’ve gone back to my, ‘If you don’t log it, you don’t scoff it’ mantra. So far so good, & I didn’t even touch my dwindling alcohol stash last night!

@daffodil2010 – I hope your venture to town wasn’t too stressful? I’ve bought only groceries for the last couple of months. And I have the luxury of being able to go mid-week when it’s quieter. It certainly makes me appreciate our essential workers, having to wear masks every day for their entire shifts. They’re very strict where I live though; you won’t even get into a mall without a mask & a squirt of hand sanitizer; & then every store you go into ensures you use hand sanitizer too.

    Have a good weekend everyone ⛅️ 🌈

  • Fat Busting Brits!!

    Morning everyone!

Minols – no problem! There’s plenty more where it came from haha! I’m very interested in the psychology behind things, and trying to figure out how I can tap into it and rewire certain behaviours. I imagine this long lean me, who says things like “No thanks, I’m satisfied”, or “I’ll save this for later”… Maybe it all sounds a bit crazy, but it seems to help me.
Wow, your breakfast sounds so delicious!

Nana – what a sweet message to receive from your grandson. Must be heartbreaking to have to stay away.

HH – another busy day for you, hope your husband’s nose is alright!

Jean – sorry to hear about your trip to Texas… it’s such a shame all these holidays are going to have to be held off. I suppose the bright side, if there is one, is the money can be saved up for next time, or double the trips when things open up again.

Dave – you’re definitely entitled to the money back, might just take a while…
All the insurance is going to be so complicated, for sure. The virus hit while I was still away and I received an email from my yearly worldwide policy to say ‘any costs related to Covid for plans booked after 9th March will not be covered’. Any excuse to not have to pay…

Mel – your progress is brilliant! Reading the day to day things sometimes I lose track of the distance everyone has come, which is very inspiring. Not far to go now!

Anne – glad you got your money back in the end! Shame you didn’t get anything extra for all the hassle! And do come along and join us again…

Bit tired today, but might try and work out before rain comes in. My salsa group has free online classes all afternoon which I might join for some of as well… It’s a shame, as my favourite part was always the pair dancing compared to footwork, and I’m not very motivated to practise alone. But I should, really.
Will be doing lots of cooking today too, I think. Broad bean and basil dip for lunch on homemade sourdough, then an aubergine katsu tonight and a lemon ‘cheesecake’ with berries.

    Day 23 – Japan – NFD

Water fast went well enough. Since the park equipment is off limits now, I’ve been doing a lot more pushups again. I’m about to about 70% of peak but it is increasing quickly. Pushups aren’t fun but they do stress the back, shoulders and chest pretty well.

As far as 5:2 goes I’m more in maintenance than a weight loss mode. I don’t mind losing more, but if I only lose a kg or two a year that is fine. The other day I was carrying 12 litters of drinks. 12kg is less than 50% of the weight I lost and I couldn’t believe how heavy it felt. Kind of shocking.

  • Fat Busting Brits!!

Mel…so encouraging -2 stone in a year and only a little on because of current circumstances. I’m hoping the last couple of days have stopped me and turned me…and the OH is a bit more involved too.

Just had a ‘breakfast cranachan’…the BB did zoom baking this week so the boy made the most amazing biscuits out of peanut butter oats and maple syrup! They were then challenged to ‘present’ them and send in pics…some amazing ideas! But ours was simply a desert glass, one crumbled biscuit, generous dollops of skyr, fruit out of the freezer and another biscuit standing like a tweel- yum! And should keep me going well past lunchtime.

Jean – such a hard decision not to go to Texas…these trips always mean so much to you all. But now the decision is taken, knowing you, you’ll settle to it with grace and think up ways of still having a great relationship with the family there. Does your grandson still play fortnite? I remember being so impressed that you’d played it when I was still swithering over letting the boy have it!

Taking of whom…I’d better prise his fingers off the controls ling enough to eat some toast!

Day 23 Oxfordshire, UK – NFD
Had my splurge day yesterday so the remainder of the weekend needs to be controlled.

Zoom yoga followed by gardening. Popping up to collect some veg plants from a good friend, cucumber and courgette. Don’t normally grow vegetables so this will be a learning curve.
At garden centre yesterday we bought a couple more plants to fill in some gaps, so that will keep me busy.
Planned a steak and veg tonight to keep the calories low.
    Very windy here too.
    Enjoy the weekend.

  • Fat Busting Brits!!

Did a post this morning and it didn’t say log in but I lost it.

    Trying to remember
Endellion, well done on the weight loss. Minols, you saved me! Just home yesterday after dog walk, fancying biscuits I remembered we’re in the cupboard then I read your post and just had a small banana. (Didn’t really need anything).
Somethings not right. Jean saw your post this morning on recents, but it’s not here. Made me sad re your daughter’s family and Charlie. Some people just don’t get dogs and they miss out on so much.

Realised its one year today that I started this way of eating and the forum. Two stone off, but three pounds back on at the moment, eight pounds to target. Oh just thought perhaps it’s turned the page. Will look after finishing this as I will lose it again!

  • Hello Southern Hemispherites!!

Penguin, good to hear that it’s going well for you and with a convenient treatment location. Do others attend or is the mobile unit just for you?

Due to gusty winds, we’ve stayed put for a few days. Paradoxically, it’s wonderfully quiet on the towpath here but OH is suffering serious allergies possibly due to the sizeable dairy farms alongside the canal. We’re allowed to move for essentials and will push on to get a pump out/diesel over the next few days. Inching our way towards the LLangollen.

Did you see the Space Station pass last evening?

    Day 23 – Ireland 🇮🇪 – NFD

Morning. Posting for weekend accountability. I have had my early walk (the wind out there is something else though), I have completed a Leslie Sansone workout, and I plan a longer one this afternoon.

I have to head into the nearest big town and go to the chemist for essential supplies, medicinal and make up 😄, however I am nervous as I have not been to town or any shop apart from my local village shop…..in over 10 weeks 😨 But needs must.
Not sure if I should go now, early, or wait until later. Best just get it over and done with.

It is an essential journey so I feel strange feeling nervous…..oh how our lives have changed.

  • Hello Southern Hemispherites!!

Morning Thin. No problems so far. It is done at a mobile unit about 5 miles away and I can drive myself to it. I then take pills every day. So far I have avoided any of the possible serious side effects. I have to watch my energy levels but exercise is prescribed, so I’m trying to keep fit. The exercise bike isn’t as easy as it was!

    You still moving west?

Day 23 – Lake District UK – CFD

    Good morning everyone

I just love this WOL ….. really got it working for me, yes taken me several months to get myself properly sorted and now I’m into the routine, the scales, my clothes (and people) are telling me, I’m looking and feeling good and a lot healthier than in years!

My way of working allows me a day off, not face down in the trough with a vat of wine available though, the ‘Inner Warthog’ I think has been tamed (but I’m not taking my eyes off him!)

Yesterdays weigh in was another drop on the scales, but time for a real treat …..
We are very lucky to have a very good 2 Michelin Star restaurant not far from us, Simon Rogan’s L’Enclume. Incredible reputation, very popular, at the moment due to C-19, closed.
But to keep his staff employed and to pay back a little to the community, they have been offering ‘Food for Home’. Although frozen, it just needs defrosting and reheating properly, what profit they do make is going towards helping those struggling, which is excellent.

Yesterday evening we sat down to a rather splendid meal, Lakeland Venison Stew with seasonal vegetables for me, Red lentil Dahl, cauliflower, courgette and spinach for Mrs I-H-L. Together with a rather nice bottle of wine, we were tempted to do the whole dressed up bit but were slightly knackered from the very long walk that morning.
So at chez I-H-L we sat down to a Michelin Star quality meal, the flavours were stunning, the wine excellent, don’t think the service was quite up to their standard but we had fun. As I said at the start … I just love this WOL

    Take care all

Well done on your loss @judyjudes
I also had a good FD yesterday, stayed within 800 cals which was my goal. And have dropped about half a pound.
Need to try and not overdo it on NFD today as that tends to be my downfall. As long as I dont have snacks in the house I’m usually ok.

I do like your mantra of thought..I found it interesting..

    Dave..
These holiday companies soon take your cash..hope you soon get it sorted…I won’t be going to see my daughter and grandchildren in Texas this year, I thought October depending on Steve but it’s a No …I think it will be too expensive and not wise to travel.

    Morning/evening all,

I always use a basket in the local suprmarket as I walk there and back and 2 bags of shopping is my load limit.

I’m going out this afternoon. I’m going to visit friends for a socially distanced 🍷 in their garden which I’m really looking forward to.
My niece has also invited me to join them next week for a picnic 😀
Her eldest might be returning to nursery in June although there is a lot of arguing going on here as to whether nurseries and schools should be opening yet.

It’s another lovely day with a cooling breeze.

Have a good one everybody 😜

    Day 23 CFD 800c UK

    Good Morning/Evening Everyone

I had a good FD on 21st, closing at 550. Yesterday was 1100 cals. As I have a low TDEE a regular day for me rarely exceeds 1100; if i consumed more I gain.

I’m down another 1lb so that makes a total of 2lb loss for this week, which I’m pleased with.

Wishing you all a great weekend.

    Take care, stay safe.

  • Hello Southern Hemispherites!!

    Where’d everyone go?

  • Keep Fasting with JoJo(continued from Lose 2 lb per week)

I carry a small basket into the supermarket these days. It keeps people at a distance, I don’t touch anything but the food I’m buying, and it really limits how much I buy, so the time spent inside is very short. 😏

  • Fat Busting Brits!!

Dave, yes I should post. i did for awhile a few years ago, but life got in the way! That was my point, you don’t need to wait for the e-mail. The only thing you need is patience {to actually get through} and your booking ref. number. She didn’t even try to persuade me to take a voucher, just asked if I would like one!
I lost weight with 5:2 4 years ago. Lost over 4 stone and have kept most of it off until the last year. Haven’t actually weighed for months but have eaten and drunk so much during this lockdown I have gained quite a bit! Every week I aim to do my 2 fasts but am really struggling to do so!
Next week I intend to start afresh! I may join you!!!

  • Fat Busting Brits!!

Thanks Ann we have not had the email yet so can’t do anything until we get that.We are due to go on the 2nd of June. You should come on more often,a nice bunch on here.

  • Fat Busting Brits!!

Dave… I don’t post on here , but read posts occasionally. I too had a holiday booked with TUI, due to travel on 30th may. I had an e-mail saying it was cancelled and to await a further e-mail with a refund voucher 4 weeks before travel date. This never came but I rang 02034512868 and although I had to try 34 times to get through to a queue, and then wait 50 mins to speak to an advisor, my refund was sorted quickly and the money refunded to my card in 5 days. I only needed booking number.I have seen that this can now be done on line but this number is worth a try. Open from 9am -7pm.
Sorry to but in, but thought it may help!
    Anne

  • Fat Busting Brits!!

Yes I want the money, mainly because this virus could be around for years or even decades. When we are allowed to go abroad I am pretty sure the travel insurance will not cover Covid19.So in other words we will not be insured.Should we then need to go in hospital abroad it could cost us thousands of pounds.

  • Fat Busting Brits!!

Dave…heard one travel correspondent suggesting that we go for refunds rather than vouchers anyway as no-one knows if the company will last to redeem the voucher!
One company that has impressed me is Admiral…got in touch to give £25 refund for every car insured with them. I never even thought about it!

    May 22:

The 48h fast has its challenges. I’m 7 houors into the fast, it is almost evening, and I’m feeling peckish. My mind goes to the idea that today is my eating day, and therfore I can / should eat and restart the timer! I used not like too feel like I’m fasting on my eating day!

However, I remind myself that I don’t want to lose the 7h of fasting! I also remind myself that I ate 500 calories past my TDEE, so I am certainly NOT hungry. I also remind myself that the last time I did the 48h fast the timing worked so perfectly and I can really repeat the same schedule with no issues. I remind myself that I chose water fasting for its healing and restorative benefits. I also remind myself that I HAVE NO PANTS TO WEAR and my favourite jeans are getting tight.

THERE! A 48h fast it is. I drank some tea and I’m not even feeling peckish.

  • Fat Busting Brits!!

    Busy today!
Jean- glad you had a good day, lovely to be able to see your daughter outside…
Minols- keep strong, glad you’re back on here, it does help! No biscuits except one day of the week of your choosing might be an idea? Popcorn’s a great & low cal alternative! Enjoy the haggis truffles tonight…
Dave- frustrating with the holiday, hope you can get it sorted soon. They said on the TV you’re entitled to a refund, you don’t have to accept vouchers, if you can!
Endellion- have decided I’m an ‘any excuse eater’- stress, boredom, just like the taste of it…! Really, realy well done on the weight loss! Enjoy your wine tonight!
Nana- your family are so close, lovely that they’re missing you! Well done on the low day too. Such a shame for your Cornwall holiday, & you missed your Sheringham one too…
Mel- well done on your loss, that’s a great start! A Hotel Chocolat regular order? Ooh, I’m envious! Love their chocolate…
Sorted Mum’s order- she has one about every week-10days or so, Jean, she eats lots of fresh fruit & veg so needs one often! Had time for a game & a cuppa outside, was better then forecast…hubby got a nosebleed on the way to the park so Xena didn’t get her game, so I took her back after dinner. Met one of her doggy playmates, so she played ball for ages! Nice to get home & put my feet up now!

  • Fat Busting Brits!!

Evening everyone, been a very blowy but sunny day.Had a low day eating wise instead of a FD but will make Monday my next one.
Jean another lovely visit with your daughter plus Fish & Chips. Can’t wait to be able to visit our family. Had a text message from our eldest grandson earlier checking to see if we were both alright and that he’s missing seeing us made me feel a bit emotional.
Dave hope you get sorted out soon with your holiday. Just seen on news that Shearings Holidays have gone under and that’s who we’ve booked with to go to Cornwall in September so will have to see if we get our deposit back.
Hope all of you are keeping okay.

    Hi everyone.

BBQ day today despite grey weather to start with. Skipped breakfast as I knew I was going to need those calories saved for later. I’m actually going to bore you all with what I ate, here it goes:
    1 wholemeal bun
2 slices of monterey jack cheese
    1 beef burger
    2 pork sausages
    1 tablespoon of coleslaw
    4 tomato slices
1 big squirt of bbq sauce
1 large glass of orange juice
    1 small glass of bubbly
    1 Cornetto for dessert

Tried to be mindful about what I was eating but I still ended up scoffing down around 1500 cals – so so easy to go overboard when there is booze and mixed meats on the bbq, I honestly could have eaten much more, it was all delicious.
Still feeling pretty stuffed atm so I am sticking to water and tea for the rest of the day.

Monday is my next FD, staying mindful over the weekend. Stay strong everyone!

  • Eggplant

The only difference of the size. So you go for it without a doubt and this is really good especially when you are following some diet plan. It helps a lot in weight loss and you can have writing services australia its as appetizer.

    USA Day 22 WFD

So far so good but getting a little tired and hungry but I believe I can do this. I don’t know who put me on the pocket list (I am thinking Shinything) but thank you. I need it today! 🙂 I am not going to exercise today but I think it will be too much with the water fast but I wish I could take a walk. Unfortunately, more rain and too chilly! It will be like this until Monday! Tomorrow I will exercise indoors again when I eat! Hope everyone’s fast is going well!

    Day 22 – UK – FD800 x 5

Struggled today to stick to this last FD800 of the week but kept telling myself that it’s good to complete the goal that I had set myself and tomorrow I can eat to TDEE and enjoy a glass of wine with my dinner too – cannot say that I really feel hungry but OH seems to be eating for two today 🤣🤣🤣 and the temptation to just give up was strong……….

Did a lovely yoga class this morning – stretching and relaxation with a 20min Yoga Nidra at the end 🙏

Funny weather here today – started off grey and overcasts with some sunshine early afternoon for a short period, lots of gusts of wind but not really cold and no rain.

@penz – good on you for volunteering to host the June Challenge and yes I will be happy to set up the spreadsheet 👍
@flourbaby – sorry to hear that your tooth ache is not settling

    Day 22, UK, FD

A good FD so far 👍 , I’ll do my best to keep it that way.

@flourbaby sorry to hear you are still having a tooth ache, that’s really horrible, its been going on for a long time. If antibiotics haven’t helped by now its not likely they will? I’m no expert but I’d call emergency dentist. I hope you sort it out soon 🤗

    Pocket list:
    @dykask WFD
    @endellion
    @ccco WFD
    @shinything

    Lets go fasters 💪

So far so good! Day is half over and I am beginning to feel a little hungry but I am working on persevering! Flourbab!y, I read your whoosh article. I do believe in the whoosh effect, although I have never had one. Maybe one day
