Hi all. I started Fast 800 (low carb) almost 3 weeks ago. I lost 14 pounds in the first two weeks. No weight loss since then but I lost an inch off waist and one off hips. Very happy! I would like to switch to the New 5:2 but am afraid it might cause a weight gain. Anyone tried this transition? Did you gain?

Congratulations on your excellent 5:2 start.
I lost my excess weight on the old 5:2 but now do the 800 max for maintenance. You should still lose weight eating 800 calories of fast days, but it might be a little slower. Make it easy and sustainable for yourself as that will mean you can keep going. 800 is the max, so you don’t have to eat all the calories if you don’t need to. Good luck with it.

Really don’t appreciate your pushing diet drugs/herbs here. This is a site where people try to help each other, not make a profit from exploitation of overweight people.
