  • Hi,
I have read the diet book and bought the menu book.
I don’t like doing the fast day from morning until night and
I am wondering is it ok to do 24 hours over night.

My modus operandi is to have dinner at 6pm, fast until breakfast, (porridge) at 9am. Lunch of 300 cals at 1pm then dinner again at 6pm.

    Hope someone can help

Hi @on the beet – it’s about doing this the way that suits you best. The point is that you give your body a break from food.

How you do it is up to you – you may have to experiment a bit to see what fits into your lifestyle best.

Give the way you are suggesting a try and see how it works for you. there’s no ‘right’ or ‘wrong’ way – just ‘YOUR’ way. You may find, as many of us do, that as you get used to fasting you will want to have longer periods of zero cals on fast days.

Just go for it – if it doesn’t work, try another way.

have a look at http://thefastdiet.co.uk/forums/topic/some-notes-on-the-fast-diet-for-newbies/ The paragraph on fasting patterns might give you some ideas.

    xx

    Hi Treasa,

I tried it for a few weeks and it was easier, but I didnt lose any weight in that time. Some people do it on here with success, its different for everyone. I have now gone back to the standard 36 hr fast and have started losing lb’s again.
It does get easier! Just give it some time x
