  • Day 5 West Midlands, UK – NFD

Just a quick catch up post as I didn’t get on yesterday, between cats to the vets (my two boys are feeling a little sorry for themselves now, but at least they won’t be fathering any kittens, OH having appointments with the podiatrist & opthalmic consultant, and youngest going to the GP I feel like I didn’t get a moment.

I hit my steps target, but went over my TDEE again.

Will update this evening for todays FD and weigh-in with Weight Watchers

    Laters

    Day 6. Bordeaux, France

Have lowered my TDEE to between 1300-1500, with my 2 consecutive fasting days and skipping lunch today I am nowhere near either my daily or weekly TDEE! Am going swimming this evening.
So tonight am celebrating with homemade pizza and wine!!!
And a film with OH and son.
    Life is cool again!

    Day 6, South Wales, FD…maybe….

Hmmm, totally sabotaged yesterday’s fast. Teenagers’ leftover pizza was lying in wait for me after getting home from a late evening meeting! I could not resist!

So today may have to be another one to make up for the pizza blowout.

@mari84 feel your pain – I worked as a lab scientist for years, and the patronizing attitudes were really hard to deal with. Hope you have a better day today
@maayya – hang in there, plateaus can be long (I’m on one of those myself)
@tenoro – love the “Be not afraid of going slowly, be afraid only of standing still. Chinese Proverb.” You’re so right!
@coda – hope your ankle is much improved soon
@fatrabbit congratulations! I’m with you, hovering just under 11 stone. Feels good to be at this weight for the first time in years.

    Day 6…..Florida…..NFD

This is going to be a short and sweet post, as there were so many posts to read this morning. I can’t believe how many people we have in our little family, wow and it’s still growing.

I haven’t been doing very well this week, the only thing, I’ve really managed to do was stay away from the sweets! Good news, I still want them but my cravings are slowly going away.
Starting Monday, I’ve got to get myself on the straight and narrow, I would start today but today is first Friday so going to Mass this evening then dinner with the family afterwards. Restaurant eating is something, I haven’t gotten under control yet!

Alright well, I’m off to get this faulting thing done today!

I see a little stiletto of a man, he’s on the loose, he’s on the loose, carrying a can of fandango!

    Day 6 Akron OH FD.
@onedayordayone I love your moniker! Cheering you on all the way from Ohio
@strawberriesandcream send my birthday wishes to your OH, also “Eisberg alcohol free Cabernet Sauvignon at 28 cals per 125mls”?!!!! Talk about drinking your wine and having it. How does that work? I’m guessing sugar free?
@mari84 I believe most of us understand how you feel. It’s hurtful to be patronized and many women and minorities deal with this in the workplace often. Hang in there, don’t let them get you down, you’ve got the stuff and what it takes! One day they will rue the day they underestimated you 🙂 I work with a dr who talks over me in meetings and is generally condescending (extremely annoying) but it’s a little easier to ignore him because he’s an “equal opportunity abuser” he is only respective if you’re an interventional cardiologist; everyone else is a step our two steps below. Idiot!!
Have a great day everyone and my best to you all 🙂

    Day 6, Gozo, Malta, fd

This morning at 1.00 am local time I went downstairs to take out frozen baby food to put in the fridge ad I forgot to take it out earlier. When I was near the kitchen my son came and I told him I felt faint. I managed to get near my bed with my son s help but fainted right beside my bed on the floor. My husband woke up and he helped to the bathroom as I contracted gastroenteritis from my grandson who’s staying with us right now. I’m taking liquids with dioralyte satchets today and maybe some plain rice later on today. My youngest daughter who is a medical specialist told me if I don’t drink enough I have to go to hospital and she’ll take care of me there.

And I brought a babysitter to take care of little Alexander.

So today will be an extra fd for me.

Have a great Friday everyone, onwards and downwards.

… Maine, USA…Just completed Day 1 of Oct Challenge…thanks for this…I started FAST 5:2 last March thru June and found the results amazing.

I took the summer off – kept exercising but the food and drink started piling the calories and weight back up. Plus – I just didn’t feel as good. Not sleeping well, low energy, etc.

So, I’m back in! Thanks for letting me join the group. Love the challenge – it’s already got me energized for a new season!

My goal = break 210 lbs – run 10 mile race on Oct. 28. Sleep well, feel good.

    Day 6 – USA (Illinois) – NFD

Yesterday was just okay, but I know I can do better. Son arrives today for his 25th High School class reunion this weekend. It’s been years since he was here. Will be nice!

@anna6 – hope you’re feeling better soon! Take care. How nice to know you have a daughter who can take care of you. That must be comforting.

@strawberriesandcream – yes, you slit on the narrow side of the filet to stuff it. I cut nearly through it. Hope you enjoy it as much as we do!

Busy weekend planned.I’m judging high schoolers for music festival participation on Saturday then making treats for church for Sunday. It’s pumpkin bar time of year, so of course I must make them. With cream cheese frosting. Might just have to eat one myself. Also will make an egg casserole.

    Onward and downward!

Day 6 Sicily CD @adl3217 Welcome back! Summer is SO full of temptations, as is Sicily! I’ve managed a FD every Sunday we’ve been here so I’m hopeful for tomorrow. Today I’m going for a CD, even though we’re going out with the family tonight. If I skip the Pane and the Dolce, I should be okay.

    Day 6, Emden Germany,FD
    Day 7 & 8 NFD

    Day 6 – USA – FD

@jessyoursize, thanks so much for sending me the link re: senior women and planking! I found and subscribed to one lady on YouTube…I think the name is Flip50 – very informative and do-able! I will get out my mat and attempt this week. @anna6, feel better!

    USA (Virginia) – NFD

@mari84 I’m terribly sorry you’re in a situation where you’re being treated that way. It’s too bad you just can’t say, “I’m really, really smart!”, “I’m really, really nice!” and “I really, really work hard!”. I did that in a job interview on Wednesday and was hired on the spot. If you can’t say it to their face, perhaps you can go home and say it in a mirror. It will make you feel better. Also, you might consider putting a note or screensaver on your computer that says something like “Smart women rule!” Start with one small thing and eventually, you will conquer your bad feelings. One thing I have learned from failing, is that if you build up enough success, your disappointments will be less dominating.

    Day 6 – USA – FD

@Lauriealice, thank you so much for sending the seeds! I received them yesterday. I’m very grateful to have “met” you and can’t wait until next spring to plant them.

    Day 5 Canada FD
Need a FD to stay in maintenance. Will probably need a couple more after this weekend! Happy Thanksgiving fellow Canadians.
No sweets + yoga + meditation

Day 6 – McMinnville Oregon USA – NFD
I had a good FD yesterday, but 700 calories rather than 500.
I have a fun filled day ahead. I’m going to tour the falls on the Willamette River this afternoon with a group of friends, then happy hour after. Then I’m meeting a girlfriend in Portland to photograph the city at night. All fun stuff but I will need to make good food choices, it’s a challenge for me when I’m out and about.

@metatauta – I just snipped the hydrangeas with lots of stem and then left them in a dry vase for a few days. They were still not completely dry when I wired them onto the wreath form. Very easy with big impact.

@daffodil2010 – Congratulations on 20 lbs. Great job!!

@anna6 – How scary fainting, please drink lots of water and rest up.

    Day 6 Lancaster, PA FD

I haven’t had anything except water, black coffee, unsweetened, low fat coconut milk now, Fasting for 39 hours so far. If I go until this evening at 6:00 it will be 45 hours.✨
I have been weighing in the 150’s since July. 152 lbs again today. I’m not sure why that is, but I will trust the process and keep fasting as I can, and having NFD’s more controlled and see if that helps. I haven’t had any sugar, chocolate so far in October, but the minute I would decide to commit to no sugar October…. I would have chocolate on the brain.🤣 So, I’ll just continue to put off eating foods, like chocolate, sugar. I have read, sugar may be a bigger culprit in heart disease, than salt. I haven’t made my mind up yet though.

@saffy420 Wow, I hope your back heals and feels better soon. Like your OH says, you don’t need an excuse to go shopping, so you’ll want to feel better for all the shopping and walking around.✨Warm wishes and {{{{Hugs}}}} for you!

@debster251 Thanks✨Wishing you well on your water fasts✨I think it can be exciting as the body detoxes, I always get surprised when I fast after about 1.5 days that I have less anxiety and I have more energy for walking and “breathing deeper” while exercising. My brain is always trying to tell me, if I want energy I have to eat sugar. Lies …… 🤣 …. Sugar actually relaxes my muscles and zaps my energy. I’m trying to train my brain to remember eating less is actually more. ✨✨You Got This! ✨✨✨🤝✨✨✨🤜🏻🤛🏻✨✨✨
@jessyoursize My OH was very similar, as your OH, then the doctor told him he has a very high hypertension issue. Then hubby saw how well I was doing. He became inspired and determined. Now, I feel like he is inspiring me.✨
@fatrabbit your words, actions and enthusiasm are inspiring me! You are awesome! 👏✨🐇✨🌈✨
@mari84 It is not you, don’t blame your hormones.✨ There is such a thing as mansplaining. It’s not you it’s those particular males trying to sooth their own egos m.🤣 mansplaining
    1. (of a man) explain (something) to someone, typically a woman, in a manner regarded as condescending or patronizing.”I’m listening to a guy mansplain economics to his wife”
I’m thinking most of us in our group are pretty lucky to have intelligent caring husbands. But mansplaining and arrogance in male dominated professions does exist.✨😏

Well I will check in later, when I can read more posts.

    ✨Wishing Everybody Well✨

    Day 6—ABQ—NFD

@mari84—I had the same kind of day on Wednesday! So tired of the condescension—both from men and certain women! And this is from people who should know better. I ended up taking yesterday off just because the experience gave my weather-migraine a tenfold boost.

@flourbaby—we don’t keep minutes at our meetings but after the last one, I’m going to start. Too many people don’t listen and then blame others (e.g. me) for not communicating! Hello folks, if I wrote it down then I said it out loud. If contemporaneous notes are good enough for the courtroom, then they’re good enough for you bozos.

@basyjames—I figured out a way to make decent, 100% whole wheat pizza crust. I’m going continue avoiding white grains and sugars (mostly) through this month too! It’s not that hard, actually.

I’ve got an appointment for an in-lab sleep study on October 31… I don’t know if this will explain my insomnia but at least it’s a step forward. I want my brain back.

More bee culture info: Swarms are how honey bees reproduce! They turn one colony into two.

    Day 6 California NFD

Yesterday’s fast went well and I lost .5 kg to bring me to 60.1 kg, my lowest since I’ve started the 5:2. So a little over 1 kg to get to my final goal and another kg to have a little cushion.

@okeydokey – Love your discussion of mansplaining. 😄 Yup, believe it or not that does exist! Good luck on the rest of your water fast.

    Day 6
    2nd Post
@anna6 If your daughter takes you to the hospital, they can make sure you have saline and fluids. But if not please drink plenty of water and electrolytes. I can share a link that would beneficial for the electrolyte issue. It seems like the gastroenteritis is causing you the distress. I hope you are feeling better soon. ✨🤗✨
    @in-it-to-thin-it ✨Wishing you an Early✨HaPpY🎶 BirTHdaY! ✨🥂🎂💐This Weekend!✨🎉🎶
    @califdreamer ✨Thanks 🤞✨Wishing you well on your NFD.😊✨✨🤜🏻🤛🏻✨✨

    Day 6 UK NFD

Aiming for very controlled day today

    Day 7 NZ NFD

Thanking you all again for your encouraging words

    2nd post

Songbirdme I’m blessed but actually I have two daughters who are medical specialists but my youngest was working this afternoon in the hospital. Thanks.

Awilson and okeydokey I’m resting and drinking water with satchets and I don’t need to go to hospital because I’m better already. Thanks for your concern.

    Good night

    Day6 Chester UK. NFD

Looking at the spreadsheet and there’s 106 of us on there. That’s so impressive. Link here:

    https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1oHFqnmdzVCzauz5eJOzqQfuHywXgRwErhMyTS3MSHog

This group just keeps on getting bigger and better. Thanks to everyone for their good wishes re my back. There’s a few of us with aches and pains and I’m hoping we’ll all get better soon. @anna6 the fainting must have been quite scary, hopefully it was a one off. @mari84 – don’t let people undermine your self-confidence. Come on here for a rant and a vent, you know you’re better than them and we do too🙂.

I managed a b2b Weds/thurs. Just had to have a sandwich for lunch today, the usual apple 🍎 has come home with me. Back to the sweet slaying, turned down chocolate today. I must be more mindful.

Onwards and downward chaps. Have a great weekend. 🙂

I’m dipping into this just now to distract myself and find strength. I’ve exhausted the washing and ironing and am just about to sit down to watch the second half of a rugby match, but I feel like gnawing my arm off.☹️.
@fatrabbit – taking inspiration from your post, and thank you for the vote of confidence @ Daffodil2010👍 yes, I should have said ‘liquid’ fast. I agree – oxo is a lifesaver, along with herbal tea. and thank you @okeydokey for your supportive words.
@fastlife thank you for the link
@tenoro the ‘going slowly’ proverb has to be my motto!
@Strawberriesandcream – we bought a bottle of alcohol free wine (by accident?!!!) on holiday but it was very sweet. I’ll have to give that a try.
@anna6 hope you feel better soon. XO
@adl3217 welcome to this very supportive forum. Start your post with the day of the month I.e. Today is day 6, your location and then whether it is a fast day or not. That way, we are all in step and it’s nice to know where everyone comes from.
@annemarilyn – your women’s retreat sounds great. Ignore the temptations and enjoy!
    @In-it-to-thin – have a very happy birthday!

YES! @onedayordayone – that could apply to lots of us!
Repeat after me I AM NOT A WEEKEND SABOTEUR. I WILL STAY IN CONTROL. THIS IS GOING TO BE MY BEST WEEKEND!

Hello day 6 from co down ni fd & sf

Decided I would see how I went today as to whether it was fd or nfd. Work was busier and I was still feeling full from last night. So one coffee and some water I made it to dinner. Healthy dinner and feel satisfied.

Thanks for the link @fastlife for the 3 day fasting. I’m going to give it a go next week. Not so much to lose weight, that will be an added bonus, but I may have an infection in my foot ☹. I had a small area which did not seem to be healing as well as the rest. I tried Manuka honey but the redness seemed to be spreading so thought it best to get it checked. On antibiotics and recheck Monday. So I’m going to see if fasting will help enable my body to heal. @strawberriesandcream and @lynned I didn’t break an ankle but got 2 toes straightened that were causing me problems one toe has a pin. I was just having a ‘poor me’ day yesterday.

@anna6 – I hope you feel better soon. You have had quite a run of sickness with all the children and now you. I hope you all recover 100% and look forward to a long period of good health x

@inittothinit happy birthday have a good weekend 🎂

    2nd post

    Turkey 0 – Iceland 3
We are one game away from our first ever Football World Championship participation.
    👍👍👍

day 6 – West Midlands, UK – FD

Successful fd – finishing on 558 cals.

WI – up 2.5lb … as i haven’t over eaten by 8,750 cals in the last week I know it is probably water and will vanish as quickly as it appeared. doesn’t make me any happier to see it though.

    laters

    Day 6 – ABQ – NFD

So I was doing really great until about 1 pm my time, when I realized that ALL (as in the backups, the recovery, everything) for my massive work project are just gone… Poof! IT has no idea where they went, they are scouring my drives for it, but have had no luck, they can’t even explain why or how it happened. One second I was saving a file, then next it was gone. I literally cried. We just got an extension to finally finish this project up this month and now 3 months worth of work is just GONE. Sorry Sober October – I drowned my grief (with my fellow co-workers) with a liquid lunch 😭 .

I will say that for falling off (okay, okay – jumping head first off) the wagon, I only had one mojito (though it was rather strong – I think the bartender felt a little sorry for me), and my lunch was actually not terrible: boneless chicken wings with sauce on the side, chips with spinach and artichoke dip, beer pretzel sticks, and chicken quesadillas (i said “not terrible” not “great” lol).

I will do better this evening and this weekend though. I plan to eat rather light for dinner, and have very CDs over the weekend. We are planning on doing the Pumpkin Patch (since last weekend got rained out), and maybe even watch the Balloons one evening. Luckily (or not so depending on if you have to commute in it) I live near the Balloon Fiesta Park here in Albuquerque so I have an awesome view of all the balloons coming up out of the park! My daughter has been squealing with joy seeing them for the first time all week long. I can’t wait!!

Day 6 – SW WA USA – NFD

Having a controlled NFD and planning on continuing with that theme through the Women’s Retreat. Yes, Debster251 we can make it a great controlled weekend & you too @onedayordayone as well.

@Ann6 – I’m glad you’re already doing much better. Fainting is scary! Glad you have all that fine support in your family.

Off to pick up a friend to carpool with to the retreat.
Have a great weekend everyone! Together we are stronger!

Day 5 NFD St. Louis USA
Day 6 NFD St. Louis USA

All my best to all of you.

Day 7 Gold Coast, AUS CD

    Great CD yesterday.

    Perth. Western Australia
Oops! I haven’t posted an update in several days.
    Day 4 – NFD – 64.7kg
    Day 5 – NFD – 65.1kg
    Day 6 – FD – 64.7kg
    Day 7 – FD – 64.2kg
Going out to a last minute dinner tonight and have checked the menu out online so hopefully I’ll be able to keep within the 500 cal overall.

    Brisbane, Australia
    NFD
OH making homemade pizzas for dinner, will have to exercise self control and not over indulge. Have eaten very lightly throughout the day so I won’t feel too guilty tonight. I try not to be too concerned with calorie counting on my Saturday NFD’s and just enjoy life 🙂
@jessyoursize how devastating. Hoping it was just a computer glitch you get your work back again.
Thanks for all the encouragement fellow 5:2ers. Good to know I am not alone on this journey.

Day 7 Newcastle UK 🇬🇧 NFD.
Looking forward to a day off tomorrow. I’m in that holiday mode where you want to slow down but need to speed up.

    Day 7 – Japan – NFD 80.9 kg

Well fasting isn’t the cure for the common cold. Might have made my cold worse. I’ll keep that in mind my next fast.

    Day 7, South Wales, NFD
Hoping to keep the snack dragon tied up over the weekend!

    Day 7, UK, FD
Yesterday’s FD went very well up until around 6pm. Then it became a pizza and wine pig-out. Re-setting today!

    Day 7 Wales NFD

@cipher1971 – its normal for weight to fluctuate. When I began 5:2 I weighed me every few days and got very discouraged, now I only weigh once a month and like that better as I just see the downward trend.

Wishing a speedy recovery to those of you who are feeling unwell x

    Enjoy the weekend everyone.

    Day5 Dublin Ireland NFD
@dykask I take Vitamin C and Zinc until my body can’t take anymore (rush to the bathroom) Kills a cold dead in its tracks every time. Powdered ascorbate form usually the best.
Down 3 lbs since I started on Tuesday. My body just likes this WOL.
Happy weekend to everyone. Stay strong.

    Day 7 UK NFD

    Day 7, Newcastle UK, FD

Total disaster last night. The whole week’s work undone in just one hour of mass self sabotage led by the white wine dragon followed by the peanut dragon, the cadbury’s fruit and nut dragon and finally the entire packet of Aldi’s florentines dragon. There was a burger and coleslaw thrown in between the peanuts and chocolate. A total of around 4,400 calories. Annoying to say the least. Not going anywhere near the scales this morning. It’s done, no point dwelling on it so drawing a line now and getting back on track. Thank goodness I’m back to daily posting – otherwise a few more dragons might have been unleashed this weekend.

Trusting you will all do better than me this weekend. All the best.

    Day 7….Florida……NFD

Up early this morning, as it’s my Sat. to work. I haven’t made the best food choices this week, so today is my last NFD. Next week, I’ve issued a small challenge for myself. From Monday until Oct. 21st, If I stay true to fasting 3 days a week. I mean true 500 calories fasts, then I will go with the girls on the 21st for a spa facial. I haven’t had one in years, they are kind of pricey, so I figured if I want to get one, I must earn it….

@mari84…….. I work with a lot of contractors and builders, who think I can only design and have no concept of instillation. When they’d come in and they’d say “no, you won’t understand”, I used to say Oh that right I forgot I’m only a girl. Then one day, there were no men at work and a contractor had to let me help them. Now, A lot of men come to me for ideas and help. The point is don’t let it get you down, one day your turn up to bat will come and you’ll blow them out of the park!

    Welcome to all the newbies….

I’m still catching up on posts so please forgive me…..

    @dykask….I hope your feeling better!
@saffy……. I hope you back gets better soon!
@fatrabbit….. your concuring hills today and mountains tomorrow!

Well, I’m off. The boss invited everyone to breakfast this morning….. so it’s a early day!

I saw a little stiletto of a man, he’s on the loose, he’s on the loose, carrying a can of fandango!

    2nd post

Maths was never my strong point. Added up calories for yesterday – not quite as bad at 3099. I went to visit my Aunt and accepted a glass of wine before I gave it a 2nd thought. The florentines were a get well gift to OH from the neighbours. I now have to replace the box.

@songbirdme – if you’re wondering what happened to my salmon dinner last night – OH said salmon once a week is enough for him – so it’s on hold until Tuesday.

Off to do some more gardening and work off a little of last night’s excesses.

Day 7, London, UK, NFD …………… very, very CD!!

Late & Quick check-in today. Busy, busy, busy!!!

I’m having to use the ‘drink 1 glass of water or herbal tea, then wait 20mins’ trick, currently asking myself………….. ‘Are you still hungry’? It’s working thank goodness!!!

@dykask…… I think that’s that old ‘starve a fever, feed a cold’ saying!!!

@strawberriesandcream, been there, done that!!!!! Press down hard on that reset button, at least you have the tools and accountability in place to not let it spiral to 5k calories or become a different kind of B2B2B, i.e. a
Binge2Binge2Binge!!!!! You’re so right though, no point looking back, you’re not going that way anyway!!!!!! Forwards, Onward, Downward!!!

I don’t suppose the charity shops will accept my newly acquired stash of treats!!!! Popcorn, peanuts, cashews & chocolate have invaded/ infected my house……………….. maybe a visit, bearing gifts of course, to my skinny friend is due!!!!! Mwah-ha-ha-ha-ha-ha!!!!!

    Stay strong everyone!!

    Day 7-Ireland – NFD

Sat up until 5am this morning talking (and drinking wine) with my friend 😳 So much to catch up on.

I have taken a very long walk, already 1.5litres water consumed, will fast until circa 6pm this evening to atone for the wine and chat fest….it was worth it though. Good to catch up with old friends.

    Happy Saturday

    Day 7, Gozo, Malta, nfd

Hi Metatauta, Saffy420, Debster251, Coda and AnneMariln, I only fainted once. I’m better and have taken Alexander with me to my hairdresser to do my hair. This evening we have a wedding and I’ve decided to go but be especially careful what to eat and drink only water. Thanks for your corncern.

Onwards and downwards have a great weekend everyone

    Day 7,FD,Canada

@keetseel are you a beekeeper!? I am a new beek, having so much fun helping ‘my girls’ and gathering in a huge honey harvest this year.

@coda hope your foot is feeling better, sometimes hard to get those infections uner control.

@okeydokey, @debster, @coda thanks for the birthday greetings. I overindulged yesterday, especially with the carrot birthday cake😂. Cooking today for another feast with Thanksgiving dinner tomorrow so will be truly tested today on my FD.

Happy Thanksgiving to my fellow Canadians. Remember we can always push the reset button and get back on track after overeating. Gotta love this WOE!

    Day 7 Belfast NFD

So, the hunger passed, I slept like a baby and woke up this morning 3 1/2 lbs lighter and my waist is 1 ” smaller. I know this is a fleeting change, but the scales read lighter than I have been for 30 years and I now need to build on that. It’s important to keep this weekend controlled.
Yesterday, 60 lengths of the pool, 50 squats, 15 beginners press ups, 2 mins of full plank incl. 2 x 30 sec side planks and 40 secs of elbow plank
@jessyoursize – what a bummer! I can’t imagine how all the backups etc have lost it too. I’m gutted for you.☹️
I’m going to change my fasts to one day a week liquid fast.
I am now truly a convert.

    Day 7 – USA – NFD

Good FD yesterday, 499 cals. Finally got out of the 170s this a.m. but only by .2 of a lb.! Don’t ever want to see the “70s” again! @jessyoursize, I can relate to losing work on a computer…I imagine someone in IT will figure it out, but I admire your great attitude about it. @Strawberriesandcream, been there, done that!! Don’t despair. @flourbaby, love your idea of giving the sweets to a skinny friend, mwah ha ha ha…@Debster251, congrats on your dispatching of lbs. and inch!

I have been finding more interesting things to eat on FDs…for instance, I made a big plate of creamed spinach for dinner, which was amazing. I just cut down the portions of cream cheese, parmesan cheese and sour cream to fit into the number of left-over calories I could use.

Winding down work in the garden these days; without the heat and the bugs, it’s a pleasure to be there for hours. Planted spring bulbs, looking after the 11 new chicks in their coop and deadheading flowers to save for seed. I’ve been saving up projects for FDs so the day goes quicker.
