2nd post
I uploaded the revised 5:2 book yesterday and didn’t notice a lot of changes. I just found this and I see a lot of changes. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/home/you/article-4313396/On-5-2-lost-9-kilos-reversed-diabetes.html
I found that interesting but picked up on most of it from the posts here. One thing I liked seeing is that it is ok to lose quickly. I’m kind of ready to kick it in gear and just go for it.
Are the liquid fasters doing the liquid fasts to get the benefits of a clean fast (no calories or artificial sweetners)? No one here really talks about clean fasts and the benefits of keeping our bodies unfed for hours. What are your thoughts on 16-24 hour clean fasts? That is what I do (most of the time). The expert I am listening to does not allow anything–no artificial sugar, cream, broth. The last couple of days I have loosened up that rule and had a electrolyte drink. The drink gives me a quick pick-up and I am still losing. I’m going to keep tweaking the rules until I find something that works and feels natural.
@lindasue, your shirt fitting is great!! Doing OMAD I haven’t lost as much on the scale as I would like BUT all of my summer clothes fit by mid-summer. I was shocked. In April I tried everything on and only a couple of things worked. We went on a trip in June and everything slipped on. Just like you–w/o a big scale loss. I can’t explain it. Clearly there is less of us– so why doesn’t the scale show it?
@keetseel, I understand. I use to ride bike with my GF and we loved it. We both got into the best shape of our adult lives. But, there were too many close calls and I just got too scared to ride. We were on slow roads and even with the other lane open people do not get over. I take my bike to the trail now and ride there.
