    Day 8 Lancaster, PA US NFD

    My Water, coffee and tea FD’s this week will be Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday.✨

    One less tooth for the Ortho surgeon to pull out. I dared to try to eat a hotdog and I heard a crack, the back tooth in the left side of my mouth cracked (again) and now it has completely fallen out. I disinfected gargled with sea salt water. After all that, i feel much better not having that stabbing pain in my left jaw. Now only 1 tooth needing to be pulled. I have to have 3-4 implants though. Just hoping when he implants them, I don’t accidentally eat and break the implants off before the jaw grows in around them. I have the phone number, the office was closed on Saturday. I will call on Monday or Tuesday for the initial appt.

    @cipher1971 great choice about the mini trampoline, from what I read about them, they are good for the endocrine, lymph system and easier on the joints.✨👍✨
    @maayyaa I love ginger miso dressing and I like putting it on green leaf and avocado slices with sesame seed salad. So much so that I found many great new healthy and delicious recipes with miso. http://m.huffpost.com/us/entry/6993590

    Day 8 – McMinnville Oregon USA – NFD
    I’ve been fasting this morning because I’m going out to lunch with a girlfriend. She’s a very healthy eater so I should be able to make good choices and not get too tempted.

    @califdreamer – My latest photo outing was at night, photographing the city of Portland from the East side which provides a beautiful view of the city. You get pretty reflections on the Willamette river which divides the East and West side of Portland. I have a girlfriend that is into photography and we go out together because we enjoy each others company and feel safer at night. Thank you for asking.

    @okeydokey – I’m impressed that you worked as a photographer. I love abstract photography, but I also love landscapes. My class is an intermediate level. We go out every other week and photograph around Portland and in the Columbia River Gorge area. Lots of water falls and nature. Then we critique every other week. Our instructor is a true artist and has earned his living from photography, published many books etc. He is very positive and encouraging. I started learning photography when I retired and I’m so glad that I found it, it’s about the only thing that I do that absorbs me entirely. Helps me reach my zen place.

    Had a good CD yesterday, and the scales are still kind to me. I hope that means that I’ve finally broken the watershed of 11/10 stone. I like the idea of fasting on Friday, because it kind of sets you up for the weekend, but OH and I usually have a nice meal together on Friday evening, so Thursday is as near as it gets. @EmmaTaylor/@Coda – I’m with you on a liquid fast. My first ever was on Friday and I can’t believe the result, even two days later. I can’t understand why I never did it before. Duh?

    @coda thank you for the link. I had a good browse. Coincidentally, my nephew’s wife has a beauty blog and is doing amazing well at it. I wish your son’s girlfriend every success.
    @fatrabbit – I so love reading your stories. And keep looking after that foot!

    @saffy420 – I’ve settled well into sugar slaying and no booze. My OS brought me a bag of wine gum, and I very politely said,’No thank you’ and he has taken them away and stashed hem for me until the end of the month. I did have a hot cross bun, which is sweet, but I’m not going to count that!
    @okeydokey – well done in stepping over that big hurdle and deciding to make that appointment.

    Day 8 North Wales NFD

    Wish I could join the liquid only fasters, but I am staying at my daughters. Perhaps if you do one when I am home I could join you then.

    Quite excited to see what affect drinking no alcohol for the month does to my weight loss. Over the course of the month I must be saving a large amount of calories. I am consciously not eating extra food. So the weight loss should be better than normal. Hope I am not disappointed.

    And then there were 5. It’s been a long while, probably last year, since I did a liquid only fast. I remember the feeling of empowerment it gave so i am tapping into that and the fact there are 5 holding hands.

    @debster251 thanks for having a browse and your kind wishes. Do you have a link for your nephew’s wife’s blog? I never really took much notice of blogs until Rach started hers. She gets invited to events and it would seem companies are recognising bloggers potential.

    @coda – here is the link below. Jen seems to make a great living out of it. She is regularly in America and has some Involvement with London Fashion Week. My sister says that the postman never stops bringing them things for her to trial and write about. Your son’s girlfriend’s blog seems very well put together, and I particularly like that it has a local feel. I’m not particularly into cosmetics and fashion but I can see how this type of blog is very appealing, especially to young ones. (Doesn’t that make me sound old?!) my sons’ girlfriends spend far more money on looking good than I ever did!

    good nfd, within TDEE easily, did my long run for the week. Forcing OH to calorie count in an effort to stop him continuing to gain weight.

    Got to go prep breakfast and lunch for tomorrow, as it is a NFD for me again … fasting Tuesday Friday again this week

    Day 8 – Ft Myers FL – NFD

    Great first week. I had 2 FDs and have dropped 5 pounds as of this morning. Looking forward to this coming week. Found myself constantly asking myself “Are you really hungry or is it habit telling you to go get food?” Most of the time the answer was habit!!

    Yesterday we watched the Bathurst endurance motor racing on TV, as well as doing some housework, so thoroughly enjoyed our NFD. We didn’t overindulge, but looking forward to another liquid only fast day today.I’m now going to record my weight every day, because even though it is bouncing around, I want to see how it trends across fast and non fast days.

    Day 7 – Day 8 – Cumbria UK – NFD (well over TDEE 😈)

    A disastrous last week after a great FD on Monday Day 2 – firmly pressing that RESET button tomorrow with minimal calorie FDs on Monday and Tuesday = B2B LIQUID ONLY FDs

    Eating more than I should and up about 1.5 kg. Thank goodness for acFD tomorrow!

    Emma Taylor, does wine count as a liquid for FD’s? I think a good many of us could get into liquid FD’s! 😁👍🏻🍷

    Day 10 – Japan – NFD 82.6

    Still fighting my chest cold. I’m not going to fast until I’m better. However I’m mostly just eating fruit, vegetables and oatmeal. Oh yea coffee. I’m not a vegan but I notice that when I’m sick I tend to eat more that way. However fresh produce should probably be a large portion of what we normally eat.

    Day 8 Akron OH NFD. Today was supposed to be an 800 cal day. But I overate in the last hour. I planned a water only fast tomorrow and to my surprise I see that there is a liquid only pocket fasting list; how serendipitous!!!!

    Ha! No, wine isn’t really allowed on a liquid fasting day. I went dry for 4 months but couldn’t resist the Campari spritz on a recent visit to a Rome. So I’m struggling a bit now to keep the alcohol within reason.
    Off to bed now. Good luck liquid fasters. . See you the other side.

    sorry liquid only fasters, can’t do liquid only no matter how much I have tried, but will be under 500 calories today to try to remedy some of the past 4 days OTT eating.

    @okeydokey, your dental problems don’t sound too good. Hope it is soon fixed. Have just made an appointment for my annual check up, scale and clean. I love the way my teeth feel when they have been professionally cleaned, and then I start to eat ……..

    Male, 41 started at almost 32 BMI, target Bmi 29 before Nov.
    End goal bmi 25 by Jan 2018. I am quite big started at 106kg and now 103.7 after two FD (600 calories).
    I was 95 last Aug 2016, but tend to stress eat. 2017 was very stressful!

    Aim to get under 100kg this month. Ambitious I know 5kg min a month for 3 months. Going to do 5:2 but by week 3 (each month) if not near target switching to every other day, while keeping 600 on the FDs.

    It is getting cold and my winter trousers don’t fit, split one pair trying to wear last week. So have to fit before November cold :-). So need to lose a couple of inches around the middle.

    I would love to join the challenge too. I have another 6 kgs to lose before I reach my goal weight. I always seem to plateau at this point. I have been doing 4:3 for 4 months and have lost about 12 kgs.

    Good morning.
    Weekend went good. Didnt overeat on snacks, and my “chocolate fondant”-plan worked. Thats all i snacked on, on saturday!! 🙂 And on top of that, i had my FD on Friday instead of Thursday. Thinking about keeping it that way…

    @fatrabbit – was gonna ask what kind of job you had, but foundt the answers i think. You work at (or run) a rescue center for animals? WOW. If i ever get the chance to start my own rescue center i would, that is on top of my wishlist. I dream about winning the lottery 🙂 and starting up a huge “no kill-chelter”.

    @tsubaki – CONGRATULATIONS, and dont apoligise for beeing happy and proud. I had the same feeling too, cause i lost 6kg rather fast the first few weeks, but i found that we all lose in different pace, …its everybodys success stories that keep me going. I’ve been on a platau the entire september, and just now moved down 0.7kg…. so keep losing, keeps me motivated still 🙂

    Feeling great today. Black coffee to start the day, then Vietnamese Pho soup around midday – only 32 calories. Slow cooker Thai chicken and rice soup for dinner tonight – 288 cal. Can splurge on a small latte after dinner 😊 Have been drinking water infused with mint, ginger, lime and cucumber. I generally don’t drink enough water on my fast days so have made an extra effort today and I feel so much better for it.

    First of B2B and its liquid only. I can’t copy and paste the pocket liquid only list for some reason, but I am with you guys. I find liquid only FD’s to be the bomb and I really need it after yesterday.

    My brother dropped by with his 4 year old son bearing chocolate which had to be eaten. Late dinner with DH, wine consumed, then crisps while watching TV. Fairly late night, now I am tired and so FULL, I could not eat if I wanted to.
    I have already had my 30 minutes walk, completed plank challenge, 1.5 litres water consumed, bag packed with green tea, water, and oxo cubes for work…

    Missed a few days…life is busy. So last week I didn’t do so well with FDs or NFDs. Finding it hard getting back into the way of it. So I’m going to make a special effort this week to stick to ADF. Need to lose the weight I gained over the summer.

    Managed a controlled CD yesterday – within TDEE. In an attempt to stick to a quarter of my TDEE, I am going to add my name to the liquid fasters today. First time I will have attempted this but I’m encouraged by all the positive reports recently. I’ve also added @camcd back on after checking her latest post above.

    Feeling quite tired after a week back home with the family for my nephew’s birthday – ate lots, drank plenty, exercised little!

    Looking forward to getting back to where I was last week – full of energy, sleeping soundly and eating healthily 🙂

    I am going to do another liquid fast as it worked so well last week so I would like to join the list please.

    I did mean guinea pigs. While I would love to be able to take in big pigs too there really isn’t enough room here to meet their needs. I am rather worried about the one guinea pig. As she is blind from cataracts in both eyes she is going to struggle to fit into the group 🙁 The other was having a good scout around last night but the little blind one was just huddled in the hay in one of the houses. I may have to syringe feed her in case she can’t find the water bottles and pellet bowl until she gets accustomed to life here.

    @bethwhite2909 – you are so right. It wasn’t till I started this WOL that I realised that I never felt hungry. I just ate out of habit. Habit is a killer.

    @Strawberriesandcream – your post about the ice cream rang a bell. For me it’s usually after a couple of glasses of wine when the converse logic sets in -hoovering up the goodies to start Monday afresh. Ha! The only problem is, I go and buy some more!

    I know that a liquid fast is a WOL for many people on this forum, @dykask, @daffodil, and many others. I can’t imagine why I didn’t try it before, when my own routine had clearly left me up and down around the same weight. This year has been so slow, despite being focused in my eating habits and doing plenty of exercise. In some convoluted kinda way, I’m looking forward to today’s fast. It’s a while since I’ve felt that optimism.

    I CAN AND I WILL. Onwards and downwards everyone!

    Wow, thank you SO much for the supporting words @strawberriesandcream, @flourbaby, @lynned, @basyjames, @fastlife, @okeydokey, @keetseel, @saffy420, @bert1802 and @at. I talked to my boss (who is also a young female), and she said that they just are like that, just brush it off and move on. So that is exactly what I am going to do.

    FD today, feels good, I have brought my 1.5 L of spakly water and plan on drinking it all before I leave work. The scale has gone up the past few days, but I am pretty sure it is water, as I have my red week this week (I think), so it will go away soon. I think. I hope.

    I have not had the chance to thoroughly read up on all the posts from the last few days, but I hope everyone are well.

    After yesterdays’ crazy uncontrolled feast, I NEED todays’ liquid fast to reset, miso, bone-broth, water & herbal tea at the ready!!!!

    So it’s the 1st pocket list for October and it’s a liquid only challenge!! Copy and add your name to the list, print or write the list out, keep it in your pocket, keep it handy then whip it out when you need that added support!!! We’ve got each other today!!!

    I definitely need to press that RESET button today after this last week……this little devil 😈was on my shoulder for several days…..I sooooo so need to relearn closing that kitchen door after my evening meal…….and I’m also going alcohol free this week until my weight is below my target once more!

    @steve-toon-taxi-driver – you can eradicate that 3lb and maybe more in 2 weeks before your holidays! positive vibes coming your way – You Can Do This!

    Just starting the liquid fast day with a lot of black coffee. It’s great so many have joined. I’m sure we can do it…

    All this talk of a liquid fast – wishing everyone on the pocket list well. You’re enthusiasm for it is infectious. If I hadn’t prepped tonight’s tea of fish stew, I was actually starting to think that it sounded like a good idea! So for today I’m sticking with under 500 cals.

    @rahul1905 I was only wondering yesterday where you’d got to. Good to see you back and as others have said, shout that weight loss loud and proud. You worked hard for it.
    @fatrabbit, now I’m worried about a blind guinea pig. Yesterday I had a vision of you with micro piggies.
    @okeydokey the ongoing problems with your teeth sound horrible. There’s nothing worse than toothache.
    @at – you’re an inspiration to a lot of us here, it’s so good to read posts from the guys in maintenanace to know they still share the same issues. I think that really works to underline this is a WOL, rather than just a diet.

    Yesterday I tried on all the clothes in my holiday suitcase. I found a pair of linen trousers that haven’t seen the light of day for several years. They’re a bit big but will do. All my other trousers were far too big – some I could get on and off without opening them. My clothing pile has had a new lease of life. Fortunately we live close to a large M&S, and they’re having a sale so two pairs of cropped trousers and a new pair of jeans in a size 16 made me feel marvellous. I was almost dancing in the changing room.

    Today marks my reset….. FD today, no excuses! I’m inspired by everyone who is resting today. I have not tried a liquid a fast but it does sound tempting and scary all at the same time but I shall forgo on that until another day.

    @saffy……I love the dancing in the dressing room, I’ve done that a time or two myself. Especially, when I get a pair that I think will fit only to find out they are to big!

    As it stands, I’m going through my closet once again and removing clothes that are to big. I no longer have a dark corner where my I wish clothes hang. Every piece is out in the open and being slowly placed in a donate pile. Which is fine with me!

    Okay, well I must be off another day at the grind stone!

    I saw a little stiletto of a man, he’s on the loose, he’s on the loose carrying a can of fandango!

    Good luck today to all you liquids only fasters. I’m not ready to make that leap yet, but you have inspired me to make this my first FD to keep within 500 calories.

    A belated hello to all the October fasters! Got back from a week in Ischia last night and braved the scales this morning. It could have been so much worse but a week of 🍷 and 🍧 resulted in just a 3lb gain so I’ll take that. Hopefully most of that is water weight as we skipped lunch everyday in anticipation of a bigger dinner with booze.
    However, it does mean that 17st is back to being 5lbs away so I need to put in some good fast days and get back on track. I’d still love to get under 17st by the end of October.
    Not caught up on posts at all and today is a day of post holiday chores.
