  • Hi
I’m new to this group and I’m currently doing the 16/8. I’ve started since November 2nd, I hope to lose around 10-15 lbs pounds. I do workout every day.

@camcd – I have well over 100 liquid fast days under my belt now. While sometimes I do drink black coffee or tea, the calories are very low. (Probably less then 10 per day.) I also find if I start eating then the hunger grows.

At this point I normally don’t feel hunger while fasting, just an emptiness. Many of the rough edges I used to have are fading. For example I use to have a hard time sleeping while fasting because I was too alert and about 20 hours into a fast I would get a little light headed for about 90 minutes. Both of those problems are gone.

My body fat is slowly going and my weight is trending down. My progress now is very slow because I’m also working on building muscle. So when I’m not fasting I’m eating more for muscle development and I’m also exercising on most days. Exercise has its own benefits but it sure can mess up the scale readings.

    Hello,
New to this group and to 5:2. I’m hoping to lose around 15 pounds over the holidays when i would typically be gaining. Looking forward to this challenge!

    Hello,
Mike from Colorado here. Just started with my first fast today. I had three protein shakes and not hunger at all. Need to drop at least 50lbs because of too many health issues. I am ready to commit to the diet and look forward to losing the weight. Thanks in advance for any and all support,
    Mike

    Day 7, Norway NFD

Well, where did the first days of November go?? I have like 5 pages of posts to read up on, will do that later.

On Friday I had a heated argument with my bosses boss…yes, two levels up…. “everyone” is fed up with him, nobody dares to talk back to him, including me….but on Friday my cup was full, so I snapped!! Guess I shouldn’t have, but it ended up HIM apologizing and asking if we were “still friends” when I left his office, so I guess I did something right. I also apologized for “talking too loud and angry” to a manager. 

Thursday was a 60yr celebration at work = cake…so I planned my Thursdays-FD to happen on Friday. After that “fight” with the manager I ate something (over my FD-kcals) later that evening (still under TDEE), Saturday came, another “reset” day planned…didn’t happen…but ate sensible. Sunday came, and I was on zero kcals until my OH opened a bag of Fiesta crisps…darn!! So yes, I was really pushing the reset button yesterday. Successful FD finally. And today, my weigh-in day…I FINALLY saw my October Goal…7 days in November. I saw the 85!!,,,with a ,9 on the back though, but still.  So, going to eat sensible today, and tomorrow….shoot…as I wrote that I remembered I’m probably going to eat cake on Thursday, so I better do my FD tomorrow…ok. Looking forward to my Friday weigh-in too.

I’m just finished with my work training. I now have a second job, where I’m “on call” if someone is sick in health care, at an elderly center. I can only work weekends, preferably Sunday mornings/day shift, and that makes FD’s real easy on those days 

Well, I had better get back to do some office work now.  Onwards and downwards everybody. Looking forward catching up on all those post.

    Day 7, Gozo Malta, fd

Today the scales told me I’m 1.2 kilos less than yesterday. Yesterday s fd ended around 900 calories but it is very encouraging to drop so much in weight after one day of controlled fasting.

    Welcome also Chewb42 and portaVenice.

    Today is another fast day.

Mdporter welcome to this forum. You’ll find all the support you’ll need to lose those 50 lbs. remember to take one day at a time and keep on keeping on.

Onwards and downwards together we’re stronger.

    Day 7 – Ireland 🇮🇪 – FD 2nd of B2B2B

Good FD yesterday, just slightly over 500 calories, and a reward of 1.5 lb drop in weight this morning. Still 2lbs over my lowest weight from Friday, so concentrating on removing the weekend weight over the next day or so.

I don’t know how I can manage the WOL while in Valencia. It is the finale of the moto
Gran Prix weekend, DH’s friend is travelling with us, we have rented a 2 bed apartment in the city, so me and the boys will be eating together all the time 😳 I could try and skip breakfast, try to do 16:8, I sure would not get away with not going to dinner (as if I would on holiday anyway). Let’s see how it goes. If this is truly to be my WOL I must try to figure out weekends such as this 🤔

@debster251 hope you are having a wonderful time in Athens. Thanks for pointing out that 27th Nov is a very long time to wait for my results. It IS!!! I am going to try for an earlier appointment …….My TOM brain fogged and I did not question the late appointment.

@flourbaby fair dues for joining the Dry Winovember group. I salute you all. In Ireland there are a huge amount of people who go dry for the month of November, getting ready for Christmas excess…….not me though. Dry till Fri or Sat will do for me.

    Day 7- Colorado USA- FD

Woke up at midnight, no getting back to sleep. If anyone out there has advice or cures for insomnia, I am all ears. Open to suggestions, because these nights of just 2-3 hours sleep make the next day rough! =Sigh= I miss sleep. 😴 💤

Looking forward to my FD today. Plan to stretch it till Wednesday at 1:00pm when I pick up my Mom at the airport. (That’ll give me a solid 42 hour Fast.). She’ll be hungry & ready for a late lunch by then. Luckily she likes Wendy’s a lot for the chili & baked potato. I could easily order a salad there. 🥗

Following doctors orders, I’m gradually introducing weight lifting back into my routine. Missed those dumbbells! Going easy to avoid an incisional hernia, but felt GREAT yesterday doing my strength workout! I’m already feeling sore in my quads & pecs.
Today will be cardio (mostly walking with spurts of light jogging tossed in.)

Reminding myself before eating to ask, “WILL THIS GET ME CLOSER TO MY GOALS?”

Hi @jessyoursize I’m new to 5:2 and really wanting to meet people who are also doing he 5:2 journey. I would love to join in the challenges to motivate me 🙂

    Day 7, Copenhagen, FD
Not very hungry this morning, which is perfect! Fasting today and will see how long I can stretch it for. Counting on going till at least 6 pm with just tea before that.
Going to the dentist for a check up in a little while, and have a good bike ride planned out for after which I’m looking forward to 🙂

    Happy fasting, everyone! X

    Day 7 – 🇬🇧- FD

Had a lovely family weekend, times to cherish!!!

First fast of this week & first time i’ve actually looked forward to it!!!!! Embracing this WOL 😊

    Day 7. Newcastle UK, FD

I will never stop feeling totally shocked and sickened with every tragedy that I hear about. Sadly, for every incident we hear about, there are countless more acts of violence being carried out every day in life in all walks of life. I simply can’t understand why. I continue to be thankful for my blessings and pray for peace.

@daffodil2010 – if you get the opportunity to visit the indoor market in Valencia it is a wonder to behold. When you see the most gorgeous displays of fruit and veg – along with the freshest seafood – and mountains of nuts – you’ll have no problems stocking up with healthy stuff to keep your appetite fulfilled.
@debster251 – Wow – you’re in Athens already – did I miss a few days?? Hope you’re having a wonderful trip. Enjoy Venice @EmmaTaylor – I’m looking forward to visiting in January for the first time ever.
I like your way of thinking @lew – this WOL does not need obsession – it just works as it is. And @yo-yo Fletch – I ditto @flourbaby‘s advice.
@murph58 – Dr. Mosely was on the BBC1 One Show a month or so back. He said that if people found using up to 800 calories helped them stick to a fast day, it didn’t really make much difference to overall results. (I guess sticking to fast days with higher calories will slow down weight loss a bit – but that’s better than no fast days at all – is what I took out of that). However, my experience of trying to give myself 800 cals did not work. One meal a day on 2 fast days of 500 cals is working just fine again. I use about 100 cals of that for milk in tea and coffee.
Welcome to so many new challengers – @chewb41, @portiavence and @mdporter. Good to have you on board.

Onwards and downwards – together we are stronger.

    Day 9, Belfast, FD

Yesterday’s FD turned into a NFD…got extremely annoyed by a student in work. You’d think with all the news about women getting harassed in the work place, especially within the movie industry **cough cough Mr Weinstein** that male students could catch a grip and not try and belittle female staff. Just a lot of crap piling up on me so I wanted to eat something comforting last night…aubergine, lentil and sweet potato moussaka…used up loads of veg that we had hanging around my fridge. i think i might go meat-free for a while, give my body a break too.

@aljomisaza – my husband nick-named our student ‘Hollow Legs’ – suited him perfectly! He’s 15, and at least quite a lot of his intake was vegetables – but with a keen interest in KFC and Dominos pizza too 😉

Good luck everyone today. I’m hoping I can settle down and just crack on xx

second post (NFD/CD Norway, day 7)

Just wanted to say that I too am in the “one meal a day on FD”-club. Its easy to skip breakfast, lunch was a bit harder in the beginning, as said before, mostly due to colleagues needing to comment: “are you starving your self, is this a diet-thing going on”?, but much easier now, and then i have this 500kcal meal to look forward to… I eat it about 17:00/5pm, and it keeps me full for the rest of the day. (i never was a “nighttime-eater”.
Started July 31 and have lost 8,5kg/18,7lbs. Most of it during the first 1,5month, slowed down a bit now, but i have accepted that now, im ok with it, and as long as it keeps going a bit down im happy 🙂

    Day 7, Brussels, NFD

Hello everyone, yesterday’s FD went ok, just slightly over my aim at 567. Today, I’m hoping to stay around 1500 instead of the 1700 TDEE to compensate for the little extra 🙂

This morning I didn’t feel hungry for the 1st time since I started so I waited till around 10pm to have an apple to make the most of it 🙂 I’ll be going easy this week with two FDs (last week did 3) as I’m going hiking on Saturday, also I don’t have any restaurants/outings that would sabotage my TDEE so I’m going to see how it goes.

I’m a bit worried that if I try to do too much at once that I’ll “burn out” and get fed up with the whole process… 🙂

I hope you all have a good day! xxx

Day 7, NFD, New Zealand. Did well, stayed at TDEE. No issues.

    Day 7, South Wales, FD

Yesterday’s FD was a total disaster (cake & crisps…need I say more!), so pressing the reset button with a liquid fast today!

Hi can I join in this November challenge please. X

Claire South Wales UK. Just started going to fast tomorrow an Friday. X

Supposed fast day yesterday sabotaged by eating lollipop at work due to sore throat. That started the carbohydrate cascade at home. I think my success in losing some weight over the past six months was greatly enhanced by avoiding bread, crackers, and certainly candy; it just seems for me it is easier not to START those things because they lead me to more craving. Anyway, starting again with a fast day today!

    Day 7…..Florida….NFD

Yesterday, I did pretty well if I say so myself. Surprised myself completely as I made a Greek dish for dinner and when I add the calories, It was surprisingly low, even with all that feta and tiziki I used. I had chicken in mine but made the boys lamb. They said that the lamb melted in their mouths, they tried to get me to taste it but it has to much of a game flavor for me.

Welcome to all the newbies….. your gonna love it here.

@jessyoursize…… I stopped watch TV, a while back because I could not take it, my heart just ache with all the senseless violence in the world today. My boss told me about it at work today and said it was over a martial dispute. I just don’t understand it anymore.

@kerry Ann……. the starving feeling will subside as your body adapts to your new eating pattern. As it stands right now, your belly is angry because you are no longer at its beck and call. It’s become lazy and got used to food at its disposal and not having to go to the stored energy. Now, your forcing it to use the stored energy aka fat, and it’s mad because now it’s actually got to work. Once it becomes accustomed to going to its storage areas for what it needs, it will not longer yell in protest!

@murph58….. 800 calories on a FD, is a fairly new concept. I’ve done it a time or two, especially in weeks where I’ve had to struggle. The great thing about this way of life, is that it’s not a one size fits all, you can adjust it to your specific needs.
I personally 16:8 daily and do 3FDs weekly….M, W and F, with an occasional Sat because I forget to eat when I’m in home cleaning mode.

@dykask…..I love your scientific approach…. I agree the protein debate is an odd one. To much, not enough, just right with all the hoopla how do you know which way to go.

@ maayya….. sorry to hear about your day, but I understand it. About a year ago, I had a lost my shit day too. Normally, I’m the listener of the work place and don’t really say a whole lot. Do my work and stay under the radar, is my work mode. They’re are only 7 of us at my work place and I yelled at everyone and told them to fire me… In the end, my problem was resolved, we had a change of rules and I actually ended up getting more respect because I was being honest…. angerly honest. Now, most come to me with issues that need to be resolved and are more willing to pitch in and help each other. Sometimes, issues need to be aired at times.

Well, I know I’m ending this a bit short this morning, but my husband and OS ended up having a 15 min. discussion on the Texas shooting and the state of our world. I didn’t realize how much the shooting in a place of worship affected my husband.

    I do not have ducks!
    I do not have rows!
I have monkeys and they’re running the circus!

    Day 7 NFD

Have been out of the media loop.and turned on.the TV to see the Texas horror. I despair with this world. Thoughts and prayers to all those caught up in the atrocity.
We are supposed to be having a wifi break but I’m addicted to this forum! I have skimmed the posts and noted a few replies, which then disappeared into the ether. 😦
A big welcome to all those who have joined. Here there is no shame, no embarrassment, no judgement but lots of wise words and advice, a place to sound off and a shoulder to cry on if you need it. We are all at different stages of our journey.
@flour baby – factor 30 of course! We’re on the coast and on the beach there are ladies in bikinis, people in swimming and on the tram women especially in jumpers, heavy coats and woolly scarves! Can’t get my head around this at all.
@ Daffodil I’m sure if there was anything to report you’d hear a lot quicker. I secretly think OH is jealous of you. He’d love to be there, but he’ll watch it on TV anyway. Enjoy it without a moment’s worry!
@maayyaa. I think you won that one lol! I’m sure you’re glad you got it off your chest!
@rainbowsmile – Mari – thinking of you with your dad. Xo
Off now for a walk with my bikini and overcoat on – bound to fit in somehow!

Onwards and downwards my fellow fasters.

Day 7 FD . Going Ok so far

    Day 7 Akron OH. FD.

I am curiously devoid of anything to say, that is so weird. keep on keeping on everyone.

    Day 7, US, NFD

Hey my Florida pal Bert1802! I also had a good FD yesterday. Sounds like we’re both back on track.

    Planning on OMAD today.

    Day 7 – USA – NFD

@maayyaa, better late than never regarding meeting your Oct. goals now! @happymargo, I use magnesium citrate (x2) right before bed, helps insomnia and leg cramps and I sleep like a baby. @StephieS, for many of us, slow and steady wins the race….I average about 8/10ths of a pound per week dispatch, and if you stay on it for a year, you lose a lot of weight! @excelsior12309, welcome and feel free to research the Fastdiet site; you’ll find what works for you. I personally am never hungry because I ditched high carbs and sugar, substituting with low carbs, healthy fats and moderate protein (LCHF). I fast 2 days a week @500 calories or less if I am satisfied with less, and eat on a 16:8 window daily. You’ll find your mojo!

I am sickened that the latest Tx tragedy has been politicized for an agenda while those affected have not even begun to grieve, but it did not escape my notice that although the perpetrator obtained his firearms illegally, he was pursued and finally stopped from further carnage by 2 legally armed concerned citizens.

    Day 7 Wales NFD

Welcome to those of you new to the monthly challenges. This is my 5th month and I’m finding logging in every day is keeping me on track.

@murph58 – I do Michael Mosley’s Blood Sugar Diet (BSD) on 5:2 so my FD allowance is 800 calories. I’ve lost 17 pounds in 4 months and feel great. I’m 58, female, 5ft 5″. Its working well for me. Give it a try if you’re struggling on 500. With 5:2 I’ve learnt that you have to experiment to find just what works for you. Word of caution I eat Mediterranean style every day, no refined carbs, no processed foods, no sugar (except in red wine which is allowed in moderation on BSD). If you prefer to eat carbs and sugary foods the 800 calories FDs may not work out so well.

@emmataylor – hope you have a fab time in Italy…….and manage to stay dry. Sending you positive vibes!

Have a good day everyone whether fasting, controlling or on holiday, and remember, together we are stronger!

    Day 7 USA (Illinois) – NFD (16:8)

Did my best to do 16:8 yesterday but probably went over just eating hours 8 last night. I needed some energy after my 3 hour rehearsal… could have been worse! I had a good workout in the morning doing weights at my gym. My arms are sore today. Sore means good workout, right?

Off shortly to a brunch at a local restaurant with a friend who is in town. Hopefully can eat mostly protein and maybe one piece of toast. I have leftover salmon in the fridge for supper.

    Onward and downward.

    Day 8/16:8 CD/Melbourne Australia

Welcome to all the newbies. This is a great place to share your journey. For those who are unfamiliar with how this works, the initial post begins with the Day of the month, your geographical location, and whether this is a FD (fast day) or NFD (non-fast day) or a CD (controlled day, aiming to stay under TDEE.)

Yesterday’s FD was very successful. Managed to stay under 500 calories. Broke my fast at 6pm with a bowl of stir fried chicken and vegetables (onion, garlic, chilli, asparagus, carrot, broccoli and cauliflower). Aiming to improve my gut health. Planning to introduce more recipes from the new gut health recipe book. Love the idea that a health biome may assist with weight management.

Even though I’m often lost for words following another violent episode my thoughts are always with those affected. It is so senseless.

Have a great and positive day everyone.

    Day 7, CD, canada

@dykask -check out this video ‘Dude, where do you get your protein’ by Mike Anderson on youtube. Very interesting discussion of the effects of too much protein.

@murph58 – I use Shirataki noodles when I am hungry on a FD, zero cal, zero carb and filling. Add a tbsp or 2 of a sauce and it has saved many a FD from going off the rails.

    @clairbear
@chloeelouise – Welcome and best of luck as you change over to this WOE.

Day 7 – McMinnville Oregon USA – NFD

@at – Thank you for the quote, it spoke to me!!

    Day 7 UK NFD

    Day 3 – ABQ – 2nd FD of B2B2B

So yesterday’s LFD was sabotaged by a child that would only eat if I took a bite immediately before she did. She’s been a rather picky eater lately (unusual for her) so I’ve been doing ANYTHING to get her to eat something. Last night was beef pasta so though it busted my LFD, I still came in at just under 500 cals. And no I can’t trick her by pretending to eat, she watches closely and if she sees me pretending she will too. Darn those overly observant toddlers! lol. I didn’t dare step on the scale this morning, even though I was dying to. I want to give the B2B2B a chance before I see where I’m at.

To our newbies: @chewb41 @portiavenice @clairebear12 @mdporter @chloeelouise – Welcome! We are so glad to have you join us on this forum! Think of this as your support group to meet whatever challenge you set for yourself this month! We are here to listen, give advice, commiserate, and celebrate with you! I’ve made sure each of you are on the Google sheet. You can find your name and input as little or as much information as you would like.

    Google Sheet link: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1BLuf0oDETlPDLYSw9l1oXWCnVzBnAqmdJshVaBVCBMY/edit?usp=sharing

@camcd – I do not make my own miso. I’m a terrible cook (think burns water bad), but I found this awesome stuff that makes it so easy to make at home! All you do is heat up the water, veggies and
tofu (I don’t do anything but water on LFD) and then add in the paste! SO SIMPLE! Even I can’t mess it up lol:
    https://www.amazon.com/Marukome-Miso-Easy-Original-13-8-Ounce/dp/B00480GSDQ

@murph58 – I haven’t tried the 800 cal yet, though maybe after the holidays I will. I personally find the 500 cals to be perfect since eating usually leads to more eating for me. If you’d like to know more about the 800 cal day check out the BSD. It has a ton of info, but I think the main reason it works is the addition of the med style diet. https://thebloodsugardiet.com/

@tsubaki – 4 FD in a row!? That is impressive! I can only get through a B2B2B (3 days) and boy am I ready for a NFD or at least a CD after that! Routing for you!

@maayyaa – Oh wow have I been there! I can’t tell you how many times I’ve wanted to snap at one of my bosses and I just KNEW that everyone else couldn’t stand him either! I finally did snap at one of mine, but I was also 7 months pregnant so there wasn’t much they could say, and to be fair I was right. It’s nice when you are the one still in the right, even when you snap lol!

@daffodil2010 – Hey! We’re on the same pattern this week! I will think of you anytime I’m feeling weak and want to break the B2B2B! We got this!

@bert1802 – I am the same. I actually don’t even have cable or whatever set up in my house. If I want to watch a show I use Netflix or Hulu (or Amazon on occasion). No news for me, it’s just too depressing. I only found out as I went to bed on Sunday night after checking Facebook. It’s in a town near where a lot of my friends grew up so they knew a lot of the victims. It’s just so awful. I hope that someday we can all just be who we are and everyone will just accept that. Little kids can. Why can’t grownups?

Day 7 – SW WA USA – NFD

Have a great day fellow fasters!
    Together we are stronger.

Thank you!! I will try a once a day meal and see how I feel!!

    Day 7, London, UK, NFD,

Quick & late check-in today as it’s been a busy day on a training course, early start and out of my usual schedule so no fasting.

Another cowardly man-child affecting the lives of the innocent in Texas this weekend, senseless & sickening!

I must up my water intake, I’ve been ignoring the hourly alarm I set on my phone to remind me to drink water, I might need to rig it to a taser or something!!!!!

    Onward & downwards people!!!!!

    Day 7 California NFD

Good FD yesterday and back into the 50’s this morning, 59.8 kg. Looking forward to a day of mindful eating today. Really busy with work stuff.

2nd post. I just attended a wellness seminar. I learnt something that I think is important to share: Behavioral change rarely follows a linear pattern, it occurs in spurts with occasional slip ups and standing in place. the important thing is to keep pushing because it’s in the process of pushing that growth occurs.

    Third post.

@metatauta I hope you don’t mind me writing this, and if you get mad at me I am apologizing in advance. I remember how upset you were with the recent events that occurred in NY, I can tell that you have some very strong views which is great 🙂 I think that if you do not stand for something you eventually end up standing for nothing.
But I have also come to realize that there are those who purposely stir up divisions for their personal gain, the greater the division, the greater the gain; these divisions become even deeper when we stop listening to people who disagree with us.
Any issue can be politicized and in today’s world it usually is, but I hope we all eventually get to the point were we have honest in-depth conversations; start talking to each other, listening to each other and more importantly stop demonizing the other side; whoever they may be or whatever they may believe.

    2nd post – still FD.
I have made the most incredible fast day dinner. Veggie sushi! I subbed the rice for broccoli “rice” and topped the three nori sheets with loads of veggies and a bit of sriracha mayo. It was glorious! And it only amounted to 470 calories!

    Day 7 – USA – NFD

Second post: @basyjames, how could I get mad at you for wanting people to be civilized, lol! Thanks for your comments!

    Day 7
Hi All, some of you I remember, many new names – hooray for you all, this is a program that works!
I just thought I’d pop by to give some encouragement and say that 11 months along I am still a Mosley fan and that the weight I lost, 20lbs, with 5:2 from Jan-Apr 2017 is still off. I’m now a 16:8’er IF follower, a natural migration for me once I’d lost the weight I wanted to lose. I eat lunch around noon, then a snack with tea in the afternoon, and then dinner around 6 or 7 pm then I quit until the following day. I focus on veggies for lunch, I generally eat a large grated carrot & celery salad with nuts and tahini and other (variable) additions, then a normal dinner with my family. I continue to struggle with anemia and focus on Vitamin C with meals and am taking an iron supplement 2x week.
To those just beginning – keep up your resolve, the health benefits and freedom of mindset are amazing.
Thank you to all those who helped me last winter/spring – your commitment and kind words were and are inspiring!

Day 8 – Perth, Western Australia – NFD

    2nd post
@jessyoursize still cannot open the spreadsheet. I’m now receiving an “oops” message. Will update as soon as my iPad starts behaving again!

    Day 7, Germany, NFD
My NFD was good, except that I had some spoons full of rice and half a banana
approximately an hour before dinner. I usually like to stick with 3 clear meals, nothing in between! It was still OK though.
I’d like to share some of my problems around food and any advice on that is welcome! :
    1. I find it sooo hard to throw leftovers away, eg. bread that my kids didn’t finish and bring back home from kindergarten or school. Also leftovers they leave on their plates at home… It just feels like it breaks my heart to “waste good food”. My head tells me that I make myself a garbage basket by this behavior but my heart shouts : I want it, I want it, I want it!
    2. I always eat way too fast! I find it very hard to eat slowly and enjoy a meal!

@excelsior12309: I feel the same around sugar and white flour. Once I start having it, it is so much harder to stop than not having it at all in the first place! So I avoid those substances, especially sugar!

I am thinking about putting in a third FD tomorrow!? Usually Monday and Friday are good FDs for me, but to speed things up a little, I sometimes go on a 4:3 week. With more than one FD in a row I would be afraid that my body would adjust to the little amount of food and go on a hunger and saving modus…
Yes, I think FD would be good tomorrow. I will try to spare 400 kcal for dinner and just have lots of water, tea and broth during the day!
Happy fasting and good energy to everyone!!!
    Lou

    Day 7, NFD
Out for dinner with work colleagues. Pizza. Suddenly realised I was full, so left almost a quarter of it. I actually LISTENED to my body! Now that would not have happened 8 months ago. Must have avoided a good 250kcal right there 😀

@metatauta thank you for your response, hugs 🙂

    2nd post.
@metatauta – will give magnesium a try. I sometimes wake up from crazy foot cramps, so if it also helps me sleep…2 birds, one stone. Thanks!

@songbirdme – I’m with you on the DOMS (delayed onset muscle soreness) after a good work out too. 🏋🏼 Nice job. I’m visualizing the new, toned me to keep myself motivated.

@onahealthyhigh – were these recipes for a healthy gut biome in M.Mosley book? Do they contain easy-to-obtain ingredients (not weird, specialty hard-to-locate stuff)??

@jessyoursize – LOL at that sneaky, observant toddler! The little ones really do watch (and listen!) like hawks. Your calories were still low enough to have success on your B2B2B. Good luck!

@blueninjamum – hello! I remember you. So glad you popped in to reiterate that this is a healthy WOL and that you’re enjoying long term success. Congrats!

@bigviking – listening to your body & stopping on pizza For The Win!
I’ve always been a member of the Clean Plate Club and hate wasting food same as @miraclelou, so this “stop eating when comfortably full” is a huge goal for me. I look forward to the day this behavior becomes second nature.

I just ordered the blood sugar 5:2 book. I am sure that is not what it is called. Thank you everyone for your input! Do you think I can eat a Mediterranean way of eating, if I don’t eat meat? It looks like such a clean way of eating. Sugar will be hard to give up. I love the idea of 800 calories on a fast day. Thank you so much for the recommendation. On a different note, I did lose 3 pounds yesterday on my FD, I never ate my arm off, but boy did I want to.
