  • I’m dreading mince pie season….trying to delay my first one as long as possible!
    Stay strong

    Day 11, UK, FD

Yesterday’s blow-out shows on the scales as I’m back to 81.9kg. So Sat and Sun have now become B2B. Probably a good thing not to eat today, as England are playing Argentina this afternoon. My Dry Winovember status must not be allowed to go the way of yesterday’s FD!

The eleventh day of the eleventh month. We will remember them.

    Day 11 Wales NFD

@onahealthyhigh – thank you for your great post, it struck a chord with me last night when I was feeling fed up with being on a ‘diet’.

I’m missing my weekend treat of red wine. I’ve cut out refined carbs and sugary foods and don’t miss them but for me cutting out my wine treat is proving a step too far. What has worked so well for me over the previous four months has being fasting every Monday and Thursday and drinking half a bottle of red wine on three NFDs – for me that is a comfortable and sustainable WOE that doesn’t feel like dieting. Apologies to Dry WiNovemberites – this evening I intend to enjoy a glass or two of red wine.

@fatrabbit – your dinner recipe sounds delicious, I would love that for Christmas Day.

Have a lovely weekend everyone x

    Day 13 Belfast NFD
Back home and on the wagon again , with 3 extra pounds to despatch. I’m a bit disappointed, because I followed a 16:8 routine, ate very few sweet treats, and had three alcohol free days. Maybe it’s good in transit, but it will be eradicated ASAP.

I’m sadly a member of the clean plate brigade. We weren’t allowed to leave the table until our plate was clean. I’ve spent years learning to stop when I’m full, but I’m winning!

Thank you @fatrabbit, and @happymargo for your posts. You both really hit the nail on the head. I totally agree that there’s nothing worse than that over full feeling when you’ve overindulged. Yes, you’re right, we have to accept that a lifestyle that made us overweight in the first place is not sustainable. Having had problems with my stomach, I’m big into gut health, and my daily eating routine includes fermented foods and home-made natural yoghurt and my sugar fight is well documented on this forum. Having just observed the Mediterranean at first hand, the local Greek foods were great. A Greek salad was a staple part of the meal – delicious! HOWEVER, there were so many carbs!
And yes @at, in the same vein, ‘eat for the body you want, not for body you have’. So true. Back home now from a pleasant 20 degrees to 9. ☹️
@lilymartin – get well soon. Xo
@abfab – exercising on an empty stomach is great. I do it all the time.
@philtaylor it sounds like you’re well on the way to success. Keep it up!
@LynnD Those fleeting flashes of a lower weight are SO motivating! I was looking at going under that 150 mark before I went away. Blew that a bit on holiday, but I’ll be chasing that magic number soon! Good luck!
@leggit – try not to get too caught up with the scales. Often our progress can be tracked by our clothes feeling looser. I carry a lot of weight around my middle, and the month I achieved the biggest loss around my waist, the scales didn’t budge an inch, so stay strong.
    @onahealthyhigh – hear, hear!
@daffodil2010 – MY OH and I had a huge chuckle at the thought of you disappearing with your DH’s friend! What a difference two letters can make! If it’s on the TV I shall be thinking of you!

I’m back on the no sugar and Dry till Fri bandwagon.
Lots of great motivational quotes have firmly reset my mojo.

Remember @fatrabbit’s very true statement: ‘Thin feels better than anything tastes.’

    Day 11, London, UK, FD,

Congrats on the shoulder stand @cornish-jane, I remember when I could only do child’s pose on 2 stacked fists because my huge tummy was in the way, it’s shocking to me now!!!!

@daffodil2010, it’s great to know we have the tools to reset following an indulgent weekend, event, celebration or holiday!!! Enjoy you break away without guilt or angst………. Reset Tuesday!!!

@missybear, I’m sure a slight detour off the dry wagon won’t do too much harm as long as it doesn’t lead to a snack avalanche as it does for me!!!! You might find 1 glass is enough to satisfy that particular dragon, so savour and enjoy!!!!

I need to stay busy today so this FD is a breeze………..……. Housework here I come!!!!

    Day 11- Colorado USA- NFD

Having a terrific visit with my Mom.
We’ve been cramming a lot into each day, so I’m exhausted & sleeping well each night. I’ve also added magnesium citrate & melatonin at bedtime. Two nights running I’ve been able to sleep for 7 hours straight (after about 8 months of insomnia 😫)
I’m still waking up at 3:20am, which is okay. I’m normally up by 4:00 on work days. But those 7 hours of sleep are heavenly!!! 💤😴💤 Thanks for the tips.

Hey! Turns out my Mom doesn’t really drink wine the way she used to, so I’m not tempted at all. November is turning easily into a very temperate month after all! …. However, the food front is a different story! Whew Boy!! 😓 Mom lives WAY out in the country, they call it the North Woods. She doesn’t get into big towns or cities often, so she’s really having fun picking restaurants to try out here.

We’ve enjoyed every meal, for sure, but it’s jsut SO much. Looking forward to hitting full-on RE-SET with OH after her visit. (Yes, he swears he’s on-board!) I’ll be due for a B2B2B by then!!

    Day 11……Florida…..NFD

Another big ole flop of a day on my part, yesterday but on the up side, The scales and I had a jolly good time this morning as she is showing me some loss, more than a pound!

I’m marking today down as a NFD, only because I’m working today then after meeting my bestie for one on one time.

@leggit and other newbies……. it’s been said it takes 4 weeks for you to notice, 8 weeks for friends and family and 12 weeks for the world. Unfortunately, the scale isn’t going to show you, your progress, your going more than likely feel it in your clothes. Every person varies on the time. It will suttle at first you’ll more than likely miss it… shirts will hang better, pants will slide on and button easier and over all movement will be easier as well.
Don’t rely on the scale for showing progress their lying, cheating bastards anyways, don’t let them rob you of all you have accomplished in your new WOL.

Go into your closet grab a outfit that you love but is to small, to tight and you can’t wear anymore. Pick any day of the week, then try that outfit every week on that day.and use it as an indicator that this WOL is working. Every week this outfit will start getting easier to put on, then easier to button, then it will hang wonderful, then it will fit once again.

And lastly, with this WOL which we must take in consideration. No other WOL will do this. Even though the scale may not move, your body is still changing.
My example….. I hit a plateau, I was on that mountain for 4 long months, just sitting at 140lbs. But in that 4 months, I lost two pant sizes….. to this day, it has been my biggest win to date.

I hope this helps! Stay strong!

    Off to work! Ugg!

I do not have ducks 🦆
    I do not have rows!
I have monkeys 🐒 and their running the circus!

I wrote this post quite a while ago, but still re-read it every now & then as a good reminder:

Even when I don’t see movement in the weight reduction area, I still come back to intermittent fasting for all its myriad of health benefits!

Just some of the many benefits that you can easily read up on:

-improved insulin sensitivity, lowers risk of Type 2 Diabetes
-raised resting metabolic rate, sped up metabolism
    -lowered blood pressure
    -lower cholesterol
-improvement in hormones that regulate true hunger cues
-improved brain function, increased levels of brain-derived neurotrophic factor
-slowed aging to brain, possibly delaying or curtailing onset of dementia or Alzheimers
    -improved immune system
-increased cell autophagy (a cellular waste-removal process)
    -starving off cancer cells
    -reduced acne
    -resting the digestive tract
    -reduction of inflammation in body
-may also slow aging, extending lifespan

If I get shaky with my resolve on a Fast Day…
I remind myself it’s not all about what size jeans I can squeeze into. It’s SO MUCH MORE!!! I review this list of benefits which steels my resolve & gives me the motivation to keep going!

I hope this helps someone out there who may be doubting or struggling too!!
Be strong. We’re in this together! 🙂

    Day 11 – USA (Illinois) – NFD

We are so good about sharing excellent food! That recipe sounded wonderful, @fatrabbit. The addition of mushrooms reminded me of a news report I recently heard. I love mushrooms on or in just about everything (my granddaughters make fun of me!) but who knew they are good for us!

    http://www.express.co.uk/life-style/health/877586/alzheimers-disease-eating-mushrooms-could-stop-dementia-study-scientific-journal-food-fact

I don’t take any medications, just my vitamins, for which I am grateful. But honestly as I age, I do think more about memory loss or dementia. Anything I can do to help stave off aging is all for me.

Murder on the Orient Express” with lots of buttered popcorn will be my joy today. The fluid retention after popcorn is a given…. oh well…

    Onward and downward.

@songbirdme – please report back on the movie. My Mom is thinking she may like to see it in the theatre. If it’s good, we’ll squeeze it into our schedule!

And enjoy that buttered movie popcorn … guilt free!! 🍿

    Day 10, Copenhagen, NFD.
    Day 11, Copenhagen, FD.

So I’ve tried to fast on both Wednesday and Thursday and neither day worked. So I’m fasting today! I went to the gym yesterday for the first time in weeks and my thighs are BEAT. Just sitting down on the toilet takes so much willpower. My sister beat me through the session after I’d tried to bail (I was tired, soaked after being caught in a rainstorm on my bike, and just lazy), and damn I can really feel it today! But it’s a great feeling!
So far I’ve had a cup of tea with some almond milk and a tsp of coconut sugar (which doesn’t impact blood sugar and insulin nearly as much as reg sugar) and feeling like I’ll actually be able to do it today.
Had dinner with a friend last night and I can tell I’ve got better at listening to my fullness signals, as I didn’t clean up the food just because it was there – instead I stopped and didn’t feel stuffed, and I didn’t feel like I was deprived. It was great!

Today I’ve bought a new cookbook for my Kindle app on my Mac, which is called Appetite for Reduction by Isa Chandra Moskowitz. It’s vegan and the recipes have been calorie counted and carry nutrition counts as well, and most serving sizes come at between 200 and 400 cals. I think it’ll be great for switching up my FD meals in particular! 🙂

@happymargo – thanks for sharing!! Another point to add is the possible positive effect on some mental illnesses, such as depression and anxiety (which is a big part of the reason why I chose to do 5:2).

    Happy weekend! x

Day 11 Sarasota, Florida FD Thanks @happymargo for that reminder list. My bad cholesterol did go down and has probably gone down more since it was last checked. I didn’t have adult acne but my skin does look good after many months on the 5/2. Today’s FD breakfast was 1 hard boiled egg and toast, and 1-2 cup of pineapple. We’re having fish and vegetables for supper. It’s hot so I should get a swim in as well. Hi to all!

    November 11 – Massachusetts – NFD

    Day 7 (started challenge late)

Thank you everyone for the welcome! It’s been really heartwarming. I am going to try to address each of you, but forgive me if I miss someone! Reading all your posts have been fantastic.

@happymargo – Your reasoning is so right. I have IBS and going through periods of time where I don’t have any food helps me rest my digestive track, regardless of whether or not I lose weight from it. This is something I have noticed even before I was officially doing the 5:2, and is something that I will use to keep motivating me even when I am struggling. I know other people have posted that 5:2 solved their IBS problems, and I am hoping to see improvements as well!

@bert1802 @debster251 – Your stories are inspiring. I’m always so focused on weight, I never thought that changes can be happening that don’t alter the scales.

    @jessyoursize @at @kerry Ann – Thank you for the warm welcome! 🙂

@onahealthyhigh – I think all the yo-yo dieting I have tried to do over the years has begun to give me an unhealthy mindset when it comes to food and weight and I think you are right – I should not worry so much about the scales in the beginning and focus more on keeping the healthy habit, especially since I’ve just started.

@annemarilyn @yirrakurl @cornish-jane – Thanks for telling me your personal experiences! It’s helpful to a newbie who doesn’t know what to expect and wants to be at goal weight right now… but I will try to be patient. I never expected to get so many responses – it’s been great! Please feel free to pass along any wisdom you guys have.

Yesterday was a NFD and was game night with the girls (and their guys). I splurged (maybe too much) on chocolate (my weakness) but in line with everyone’s advice, I am not going to beat myself up about it and will continue on! I think tomorrow will be a FD, if I can somehow manage to navigate a birthday party with delicious cake.

@happymargo – sure will give my review. I’ve already heard from one of my most trusted movie-going friends that it is excellent. Anything with Dame Judith Dench is always good!

Day 11 NFD Oregon USA Saturday

Well it is my birthday today and this forum is really the best present I have given myself in a long time. 😊

Thank you @KerryAnn,@Awilson and @at for encouragement and thoughts on FD distractions.

@onahealthyhigh great post that really inspires me for the long haul as I have been a yoyo dieter for 30+years.
@happymargo that list is truly super helpful and a very solid reminder I will come back to when the going gets tough as I know it will. Also affirms what I believed last month while trying 16:8 and not losing a pound. (still felt like my body was changing) and that when I was literally still eating whatever I wanted–zero attention to TDEE or calories at all. But now I want more and know this is better overall.

@missybear I am seeing the FD’s as a way to lower/improve my alcohol habits. I have been a daily drinker for years–not excessive but daily and giving it up completely would be a step too far for me as well.

All of you “long timers” @fatrabbit,@Songbirdme,
@bert1802 and all the rest I am not listing–I mean this in no small way–thank you for taking the time to post and be involved in the challenges.
And @jessyoursize–thank you for taking the time to host when you are in the middle of a really important time in your life!! Congratulations on trying for pregnancy again.
As a mother of FOUR boys, I understand how much you want another child. ❤️ They are the very best things I have.

    Have a great day friends.
    Leaving you with a quote:

Don’t live the same year 75 times and call it a life.
    ~Robin Sharma

    Happy birthday, @mjr ! 🙂

    Day 11 – USA – NFD

Thank you, all you Veterans’ for your sacrificial serving to enable us to be a free people!

Good FD yesterday, 469 cals.; for dinner, I spiralized some zucchini, added marinara sauce, a tiny bit of shredded mozzarella, garlic powder, onion powder and oregano. @miraclelou, I concur about sugar…best thing I ever did was go low-carb. Cravings are gone! @daffodil2010, don’t fret over enjoying your vakay; 5:2 will still be around when you get home! @happymargo, thanks so much for writing the benefits of IF…I copied it down and hopefully will do better at explaining it to anyone who asks.

    Second post

Thank you HappyMargo for reposting the benefits of this WOL.
@mjrbcd – have a very happy birthday 🍾and thank you for that great quote.
@songbirdme – I have my eye on that movie too.

@mjrbcd – happy birthday! 🙂 and thanks for the Robin Sharma quote!

    Happy birthday @mjrbcd44!!!

    Happy birthday @mjrbcd44!

How’s my fellow Dry Winovember sufferers doing? This is day 15 of my dry spell and it is no fun this evening! But I NEED to get below 80kg and that won’t happen without staying off the booze… 😔

Day 11 – SW WA USA – NFD

Yay! the sun is breaking through on a cloudy day! Love it!

@onahealthyhigh – I appreciated your encouraging post. Good for being below goal for 2 yr. 7 mo.

@daffodil2010 – sounds like some interesting adventures in Valencia.

@mjrbcd44 – Happy Birthday! Have a special day!

@songbirdme – looking forward to your movie review.

    @rainbowsmile – sending cyber (((hugs))) & prayers!

Remember that together we are stronger!

    Day 11 California NFD

Yesterday was a good FD. I didn’t feel particularly hungry and came in right at 500 calories. Weighed 60.4 this morning, down from 61 yesterday. @onahealthyhigh, you said it well. 5:2 is simple and dependable. And it doesn’t feel like a diet. It works.

    Day 11 North Wales NFD

Day 12 Gold Coast, Aus NFD

“Murder on the Orient Express” is a beautiful and suspenseful film. Scenery is terrific with great camera angles as well. Characters are so well portrayed! If you know anything about Poirot or Agatha Christie it will be even better. But I think people in my audience (matinee, almost everyone over 50 I surmise) really enjoyed just seeing it.

LOVED the costuming! The coats Judi Dench (mink) and Johnny Depp (leather) wear are outstanding! Michelle Pfeiffer’s fur wrap likewise. The mustache “keeper” Branagh wakes up wearing is sending me to see how they made it, and was it really an item for a vain mustachioed man? What would it have been made of in 1934? Plastic now, but what then?!

    Highly recommended. Two thumbs up.

Day 11 – McMinnville Oregon USA – NFD
Very late check in. Yesterdays FD went well, it wasn’t a LF but still just at 500 cals. Today was a good CD until I bought beer, oh dear. I will try on the dress I have to wear to the wedding next month and that should bring me up short, and get me back on track.

@dykask – Salt in your coffee…….what were you thinking??? I love strong coffee/espresso in the morning ☕️ I drink it black and it feels like one of the few things I can enjoy guilt free!! My FD’s have a lot of miso and bullion which are both heavy on the salt. I’ve also added coconut water which is high in potassium in an effort to avoid headaches…..but who am I to speak, you are the Master of the liquid fast!! 😀

@daffodil2010 – I’m with you when it comes to driving, I tried it in Italy and never again.

@fatrabbit – Your pumpkin mash sounds fantastic, your story made my mouth water. I only have a yam in the house but I’m throwing it into my stir fry this evening.

@bigviking – Thank you for mentioning Remembrance Day, Veterans Day in the US.

@songbirdme – Murder on the Orient Express” with buttered popcorn, it doesn’t get any better than that!! 🍿
@abfab5 – Congrats on your after workout burn!! 🏋️‍♀️ and stopping when you felt full. Let me know how you like the Appetite for Reduction cookbook, it sounds interesting.

    Day 12 – Japan – NFD 81.8kg

Yes my body was messed up, I think this is the first time I saw my scale reading go down after a full day of eating after a FD.

@awilson – Yea, I wasn’t thinking clearly but I was experimenting. I often try things just to see if they work. For example I actually like a little ground-up flaxseed in my coffee. However the extra fat is probably interfering with me losing the little flab around my middle. I actually started doing it to raise my omega 3 / omega 6 ratio. I tried mixing the ground flaxseed into oatmeal but it made it taste like sawdust. However in black coffee it works well, at least for me.

The reason I avoid refined sugar came from experimenting with my diet. It wasn’t until I felt the profound effects of that did I go and find out how bad refined sugar can be for someone. At the time I probably was at least developing a fatty liver and definitely had a good amount of visceral fat. I was often have elevated blood sugar readings and still fighting high blood pressure. Cutting the sugar cut a quick 6kg and my mid-section decreased by 10cm in 4 months! At least for me it made a major difference. I don’t 100% avoid refined sugar but I do limit it.

Sometimes my experimentation doesn’t work out so well. Salt in the black coffee wasn’t a good idea.

    Day 12, UK, FD

2nd day of B2B. 80.2kg on the scales this morning, with a BMI of 22.93. This is the same weight I was on Sep 30, at the end of the last dry spell. Having alcohol in October plus the All Inclusive holiday week clearly took some time to work off. Hopefully the FD today will bring me into the 70s tomorrow😀. Once I settle on my final weight (somewhere in 75 to 77 range, which would mean a loss of ~30kg), it’ll clearly take 1-2 months for the body to get used to booze and more food days. In an ideal world I’ll manage to keep in that range doing normal 5:2 (rather than the AFD regime I have been following since March 20).

    Onwards and downwards!

    Day 12, Gozo Malta, nfd

Yesterday I didn’t post. Ive eaten within my tdee. Usually Saturday evening I order a take away but I only had a flapjack (450 calories) and hot water with a teaspoon of honey.

Today I’m eating with the family for lunch. I made a three bruschetta with olive and sundriied tomatoes tapenade with marinated artichokes, mushrooms and red pepper; corn fed chicken with tartiflette (new potatoes, mushrooms, bacon, mazzorella cream and onion) and an apricot and almond crumble. I’m having a glass or two of white sparkling wine also as I don’t drink wine during the week but look forward to drinking it on Sundays.

I’m also babysitting my two granddaughters as my daughter is on call at the hospital today. However her husband helps out today.

Tomorrow I’ll start my usual B2B2B for the week.

    Have a great Sunday everyone.

Day 12, London, UK, NFD/ CD

A very quick post just to check-in. Aiming for a CD today and hoping everyone is forging forwards; I’ll catch up & comment on the last few posts later.

    Stay strong everyone!!!

    Day 12 – 🇬🇧- NFD

    Day 12 UK NFD

Beautiful sunny day here, but cold. For once I don’t have to clean hutches on a Sunday, yay! I am planning on roasting a lovely selection of veg. Mum does like to have a proper Sunday dinner, and my son will actually eat roast lemon potatoes and broccoli. Of course no dead creature features to it is not a traditional Sunday dinner, but the veg has always been the defining part in our family.

    Day 11 – Cumbria UK – NFD
    Day 12 – Cumbria UK – NFD

Really enjoyed my introduction to Buddhist meditation “A balanced mind” yesterday – lots of food for thought even I did not agree with all the beliefs – a well attended day with people from very mixed backgrounds and age groups so made for many interesting discussions in between teaching and meditation sessions – our group of yoginis certainly enjoyed a healthy discussion on our way home afterwards!

Ate and drank 🍷 well above TDEE yesterday but that’s OK as I thoroughly enjoyed everything that passed my lips! Not sure how I will fare today but yesterday’s weight remains below target at 54kg/119lbs – so happy I found this WOL in January 2016; reaching target weight on 7th December 2016 and have stayed below that ever since 💃and I still fast 2 days most weeks for the long term health benefits as outlined by @happymargo – Thank you for reminding us of the health gain benefits of this WOL which is exactly why I’m a total convert (lower cholesterol and a huge improvement in asthma for me) and the weight loss, feel good factor and staying in maintenance is such a happy side effect of it 😀

A chilly day here but the sun is out so all is good with life 😎 I will see what the day brings……No special plans but going to see The Taming of the Shrew this afternoon with my regular group of ballet lovers! This time it’s a recorded show not a live link from The Bolshoi.

@songbirdme – Murder on the Orient Express is on my list to see soon – your review just confirmed that I must x
@mjrbcd44 – Happy Birthday to you 🎂🥂💐 Hope you are having a fab day x

Had a lovely early walk followed by a very enjoyable brunch out with OH – Autumn days like today, cold but ☀️makes one really appreciate good health and the joys of living here!

Hope everyone is also having a great weekend and enjoying life……..

My personal motto since finding this WOL is:- “If I quit now, I will soon be back to where I started. And when I started, I was desperately wishing to be where I am now”

For all in the November 2017 Challenge “LIFE is short. Break the RULES. Forgive QUICKLY, KISS slowly, LOVE truly, LAUGH uncontrollably, and NEVER REGRET anything that made you SMILE.

    Day 12…..Florida……NFD

Finally, a day off after 6 long work days…..then of course, my last customer was an arrogant piece of work, I tell ya. Shows up 15 min. before closing wanders around, then offers me $2000.00 bucks if I was willing to stay well past closing time. No, I’m sorry, we close at 2pm…. well then name you price, young lady to stay….. I’m sorry, I have a 2:15 appt and I’m on a 6 day stretch, so we will be closing at 2.

I just don’t get it…. we are open from 7:30am until 5pm M thru F and Sat. 9 until 2, why must they wait until the last possible minute to come in.

    Okay, sorry for the complaints…..

Now, that I’m off for the next two days, I have tons of household project to tackle. I’m headed home to NY at the end of the week, I’ve got to take care of some business stuff. Although, we’ve lived in FL for well over 10 years, we still have a home and vehicles in NY, I must tend too. One time, I think I’d like to venture home when it actually warm up there….. lol

    @mjr….. happy birthday!

@dykask…… our resident scientist…..I really gain a lot of knowledge since you joined and look forward to you new experiments and experiences. However, as a coffe drinker and lover, I have to ask why salt?

@at…… Our world is expanding so much in the last few decades, that people are now willing to try different forums of people culture such as meditation. Although, I’ve never tried it myself, I hear the benefits are great. I just wish the world, would be more welcoming and accepting of the actual people too. I digress sorry but I heard that with this type of meditation, you can feel a uforia I think I spelled that wrong for days afterwards….. thoughts?

    Okay well… I’m off!

I do not have ducks 🦆
    I do not have rows!
I have monkeys 🐒 and they’re running the circus!

Day 12 USA (Illinois) – NFD

Managed to stay right at TDEE yesterday despite some indulgences (cookie and cider at an open house and buttered popcorn at the movie). Today won’t be much better as we are having a pizza lunch at church today with some of our missionaries.

    Onward and downward!

    Day 12 Wales NFD

My 30 year old microwave oven died this week so I’m getting to know our new model which seems quite flimsy in comparison but does have a few healthy cooking features pre-programmed so I will enjoy experimenting.

    Happy Sunday everyone.

    Day 12, Germany NFD
Just had lunch and I feel that it probably was a bit more than needed…
Nevertheless or maybe just because of that I feel like I want to have moooore!
I fixed myself a milky drink instead – still better than going on with eating! I need to go to my desk now and don’t want to… This always makes it hard for me, too. Well, I will take my drink now get my assistance on that chair and am planning a light dinner… Plus am looking forward for a nice and clean FD tomorrow!
    Have a good Sunday everyone!
Does anyone know whether it is possible to contact a member privately?

    Day 12 – USA – NFD

@mjrbcd44, happy belated birthday…hope it was fun!

Hi @miraclelou – if you contact JJ at:- info@thefastdiet.co.uk he can sort it out for you x

Mjrbcd44 happy belated birthday wishes , many happy remains

Day 12 Sarasota, Florida Had a very successful FD yesterday coming in at 472 calories at bedtime. And that’s including a wine cooler with dinner and a few dark chocolate raisins with tea. Since breakfast was a hard boiled egg white and dinner was fish and vegetables (with nothing in between) I couldn’t even get up to 500. Today will be a CD to finish out the week. I’m still aiming to keep each week around 6000 calories- that’s been working well for me. @at You’re weight is the same as mine (118-119) and I find I still have to do two FD’s a week to maintain that. I’m fairly sedentary (not by choice) because of MS. I feel really good! I’d take a 25 mile bike ride if I could.

    Day 8 (started late)

Another question for the community from a newbie – what does B2B2B mean?

Today I have a birthday party for a friend and I have every intention of denying myself birthday cake… wish me luck!

Everyone else – enjoy your Sunday! (If it is still Sunday for you)

I know we are now at the 12th …. but is it too late to join? I am starting tomorrow and feel I would like the support of a group….

Day 12 NFD Oregon USA Sunday AM

Thank you all for the birthday wishes!! 🎉

It was a very low key day but dinner and a night out put me WELL over my TDEE. Which I don’t feel bad about in the sense that it was my birthday and I knew what I was doing. Truthfully, I do feel a little gross this morning and that’s a good thing, because it reminds me that overeating and drinking don’t make me feel good. I felt a lot better on every other day this month…👍🏻

So back to it today–I think I will try to do two CD’s this week( at around 1200 cals) in addition to the FD’s to offset the overage from yesterday.

I can’t remember who it was but someone’s post I read said they try to keep their weekly to 6000 calories. That sounds REALLY low to me?? That’s less than 1000 calories average per day? Really hoping that isn’t what it takes for the long haul for me to stay at my goal weight once I get there. But once again proving to me that thin people DO watch what they eat and it is a WOL for life.
I wish everyone a great day and another successful week ahead. ❤️️

    Day 12 Belfast FD

Well, this lemon cake fell into my shopping basket resulting in a snaccident! Oops! That reset button will be firmly pressed tomorrow.

Day 11 and day 12, NFD, New Zealand. A couple of sweet treats after a tough week at work, so I was over TDEE. Back on track for this coming week now. Day 13 is FD.

    Day 12 California NFD

Sunny and not too cold morning here. Pizza and dessert last night, so not too surprised that my weight is higher this morning. Good thing tomorrow is a FD!

My daily entries on the November spreadsheet from the 2nd through the 0th have disappeared. Anybody know hey this happened?

@debster251, a dessert pizza with brown sugar, choc chips and marshmallows fell into my hands as I was going to pick up the regular pizzas last night. So I know the feeling! I need to stop thinking I can control myself around sugary things. It just makes things a gazillion times harder! I can control the amount of regular pizza I eat and stop at 2 or 3 slices. But with the dessert pizza and all that sugar, not so much! Easier to just avoid.
