  • Hi – new to discussions. Am on 5:2 diet for two weeks so far cause it seemed easy to do – have fasted in past and like it! Haven’t weighed myself yet.

    Anyway, I think my previous diet plateaued since metabolism adjusts when your body thinks it is being restricted – or at least that is the theory some experts hold.

    I don’t remember anything in the book about keeping metabolism up but I suspect eating well on the off days does this trick?


    I found my weight plateaued after 3 months so I tried HIIT, Michael made a program about , and after 1 week lost 2.2lbs. Variety is the spice of life I guess even here!,,,,
