  • Day 16 – USA – NFD

    Second post – @fatrabbit, thank you for posting that recipe! Sounds very yummy!

    Day 17 FD country West Australia 72.6 kgs

    Trying an 800 calorie day today after a controlled 500 calorie FD yesterday ( this despite going to a friend’s birthday dinner – soup, 1 small slice of sourdough and a mouthful of DH’s slice of birthday cake.)
    I am fortunate that DH embraces me doing 5:2 – he is still the same weight he was 30 years ago .
    When it came to the cake DH asked if it was a ‘2’ day? and then asked if I wanted a whole piece or wanted to share his slice.
    It stopped me going for the whole slice which I would have done and I was so glad to only have a mouthful as it was delicious but very rich and probably crammed with calories, so I still came in under 500! Yay!
    Re scales : mine bounce around as if they are daily on a trampoline, but I only take the number on the same day at the same time – Saturday morning. All other measures are just to see how I’m going.
    @fatrabbit, I too have copied your sweet potato curry recipe and look forward to making it soon.

    Apart from having to be more mindful on NFDs I find that drinking more water = more successful FDs for me.
    Also finding the colder weather a bit trickier to do FDs as I feel like warming comfort food , and it is still only autumn!! Roll on summer!!
    @johnnyr, had a bit of a giggle re wobbly bits! I have a vivid picture of a whole lot of people with spare tyres exercising in the gym and the spare tyres all dancing in unison and singing!!😄😄🕺

    Brunei Day 16 NFD, Day 17 FD

    It’s helping me just writing “Day 17 FD” because I can already feel I’m wavering. I’ll be at the yacht club for dinner, and I know what I can order which will keep me on a successful fast day (vegetable and potato curry, skip the rice and popadom it comes with) but it means I can’t eat anything until then and I’m hungry, bordering on hangry (i.e. so hungry I’m angry). I know it will pass. I have a giant roibos tea next to me and plenty of work to be getting on with. I’m teaching and have meetings today so that always helps massively. So should be fine, right?

    Yesterday’s NFD was all right, despite it being a diabetic friendly bake off competition at the ladies jungle run. I came joint second with a chocolate cake, and I tried half a slice of orange and almond cake and a quarter of the winning pumpkin cookie… I walked/ ran 8.5 km in the jungle before that though so felt like it must have been offset. I also had a healthy lunch (homemade dhal soup and vegetables). Although I did have two small beers and a baileys, there is no doubt that I would have eaten more, and more carbs, and probably drank more had I not jumped back on the 5:2 wagon this month so I am taking solace from that.

    I have 1 kilo to expel (love the new words) to achieve my goal for May and I feel like I can do it. Just got to make today work.

    Have a good one everyone! 🙂

    Might have to have a second post later instead of reaching into my emergency lunch cupboard for a pot noodle….

    May 16 FD St. Louis USA
    Second day of my back to back and think I went a little over the 800 cal I love myself on the second day. Also haven’t been sleeping well the last few nights so not a lot of energy. Have been waking up about an hour to early and then not being able to go back to sleep. Annoying.

    @chumi every time I see your name pop up I smile as I think of Chumi on Call the Midwife. My favorite show and my favorite character on it.

    Trying to catch up on the post and saw somebody comment on fatrabbit’s yummy recipe. Now I’m trying to find it

    Best of luck to all.

    Day 15 Melbourne FD
    Day 16 – NFD
    Day 17 – FD

    @pissapoosa I have updated the Beautiful spreadsheet – it’s truly wonderful!

    Pleased to see that the 16:8 CDs for NFDs have worked – after so many NFDs in a row and 2 days with 3 meals a day, over the weekend, I was sure I would have gained, but I have lost about 2-300g. It was inspiring, so I am now doing a 2nd FD in the week – feels like the first time in ages. I’m certain that the lack of sugar helps things to stay good, as well. I’ve only had a mouthful, here and there, same with bread.

    Have started to read some of the backlog of posts and I am glad to feel the same happy vibe as always.

    Day 17 UK NFD 🌈

    Have a great day all. 👊🏻

    Day 17, Gozo Malta, nfd

    It’s a glorious sunny day here in Gozo, Malta. Have a great day everyone.

    Day 17: Northumberland, UK: NFD

    The last two FD’s have been tricky, cravings on and off all through for snacks, but I managed to ignore most of them and get in a 550 and 500 calorie fast B2B and get in a good gym session and have been suitably rewarded by the scales this morning. However, I am hungry already so feel I will need to break my fast earlier today than I normally would and control may be more difficult. Posting daily really makes me think about this WOL, and while I don’t feel I’m interacting much I am pleased I looked into this forum and joined in.

    Day 17 UK FD

    Ate too much yesterday for it to be a fast day. I am sure people telling me how slim I looked contributed. I let my guard down. It seems unfair to have gained weight from such a small slip (an avocado that would have gone off if left) but I did. 185 lbs this morning. Now I need to fast today but have a delicious dinner planned to use up the piccolo tomatoes and peppers so they don’t go to waste. It won’t be easy not to eat too much. An empty fridge would make this so much easier!

    DAY 17 – UK – FD

    My b2b went ok…..went for a 8 mile walk and then did my chores to keep my mind occupied…I think I ate about 600 Cals. yesterday….but am trying another fd to-day which will be easier as I am out most of the day and won’t be tempted. Have decided to keep fd’s going until Friday if I can!!!

    I have just caught up with all the posts I was unable to read whilst away….very inspiring and can relate to the many struggles out there. But am determined however many hiccups to keep on going……even staying the same is better than putting on…

    Keep going everyone.xx

    Day 17
    West Midlands UK
    FD

    Day 17 | London | FD

    Day 17 UK FD very happy today ,managed a liquids only until 7pm last night and feel empowered . You are so right @flourbaby much better to restrict the eating window – it’s something I used to be able to do but somehow got stuck in the train of thought that I needed something at lunchtime I now realise I was just making it harder for myself .Going to make the most of my upbeat mood and go for another fast today.

    @strawberriesandcream welcome back ,impressed with your holiday plan. I’m off to Sicily on 1st June and that’s what spurring me on ,started sorting out my holiday clothes and great that I can fit in a few things I bought last year but we’re just too tight .

    Day 17 NFD NZ
    Have had a bit of an over TDEE day today but not outright excessive.
    Tomorrow will be a controlled eating window day, I’m thinking 18:6 then Friday will be another FD. I’m going to check my numbers but I think I can fast all day and have a small felafel kebab out with the family for Friday night dinner and stay under 500cals so long as that’s all I have for the 36hours.

    Day 17 – UK – NFD

    Day 17 Newcastle UK NFD
    Yesterday’s fast day completed although it was a struggle all afternoon and evening. Nearly all my fasting days are completed on busy work days yesterday I was sitting around in a family group while people were eating and drinking this wasn’t planned and i couldn’t avoid it. A lesson learnt from yesterday fast only on busy work days if possible lol.

    Second Post -day 17 FD

    This is my 6th fast day in May and in my life 🙂

    I don’t find FD as daunting as I did at the start. I now know what to expect and I have a mental plan of action to how I will deal with feelings and hunger when they arise. I am getting used to these uncomfortable feelings and that’s all they are uncomfortable, they will pass.

    I may get hungry and about 1.30 but it will pass and I may get a bit restless for want of a better word, but I know this is not hunger – I just want something. It will feel like a challenge but I will make a cup of green tea and do one of those jobs in work I have been putting off – the lesser of two evils and a win win all round.

    That’s my strategy for this fast day, now I just need to execute it.

    Enough of me! Have a great day whether FD or NFD or any other combination.

    @stevetoontaxidriver @okeydokey – wow really pleased my lists are of use to you, it made me really happy !

    @lola907 Mother’s Day is a perfectly good reason to indulge, be kind to yourself. I am pleased with my loss, I am trying to focus on this as a way of life change and hopefully this will reflect on the scale, in a downward direction!

    Day 17, UK, FD

    Thanks dor all the comments yesterday. Read them last night, whilst having a pig-out, taking me nearly to my TDEE. Scales didn’t budge this morning. Onwards and downwards.

    Day 17 – NFD, hopefully ☀️ Will return soon!

    Day 17, London, UK, FD.

    Aiming to stay on track with ADF (although this will be a B2B because of Mondays’ blip), feeling a little weak and tired this morning, possibly because the rain kept waking me up throughout the night. I’m feeling very motivated at the moment, the snacks I seem to have accumulated don’t appeal right now, I think I’ll donate them before the end of the week because I know from experience, this level of motivation won’t last, then the binging starts!!!!

    I need to keep focussed for the next 2 weeks, I hope everyone is doing well and aiming to finish May on a roll!!!

    Hello all UK CO Down day 17 (already)! NFD (158 lbs)

    Still going in right direction – green smoothie in fridge, berries, natural yogurt and homemade granola with chia seeds ready and waiting if I feel like something and then sea bass and salad for dinner.

    Keep on keeping on – what is the alternative?

    Day 17, Newcastle UK, NFD

    My math(s) is dreadful. My total holiday weight baggage was in fact only 2.5lbs not nearly 4lb as reported yesterday. This morning the scales tell me I have ‘downsized’ to a point where I am just 1.6lbs above starting figures at beginning of May. I am feeling positive and determined.

    @johnnyr – I have to tell you that every time I looked at all the desserts on offer all I could think of were your words ‘Watch out it’s a dangerous, sugary, world out there’. Thank you – you helped massively!!
    @coda, @brightonbelle & @okeydokey – thanks for your kind welcome back – I have genuinely missed you all.
    @Imrenfrey – from the small number of posts I have caught up on so far it seems to me that you are indeed interacting and contributing 🙂 When each of us feel able to share our experiences/knowledge/opinions, it can be of far more significant help to others than we may imagine.
    @schatzii – I’m delighted to hear you’ve got a solution to your thesis issue – great news!
    @skinnylove – sending virtual hugs. Stay strong and know you have our support.
    @fatrabbit – thank you for your recipe – sounds delicious and just what I need to help banish this icky cold.

    SPOILER ALERT!!!! This may be TMI for some but I have to share this discovery. Normally when away from home, my digestive system slows down even more than normal resulting in bloated calves & ankles. However, I discovered that eating the fresh fruit every day (three types of melon, pineapple, kiwi and banana) had a very positive effect indeed; my digestive system has never worked as regularly in my adult life and joy of joys – my legs didn’t swell up at all.

    Now to catch up on posts from days 3 & 4.

    Day 17 UK NFD

    I just reweighed myself after two cups of coffee had a cleansing effect and am now 184lbs. Much happier with that and so will go back to planned schedule and enjoy cooking and eating today as planned – lovely red pepper spicy sauce with refried beans and chick pea topping. my favourite:)) I won’t eat anything beforehand but accept that having seconds of this is inevitable and actually ok. I’ll try and post the recipe if anyone is interested. It is vegan as is everything I cook and full of gut healthy legumes and veg.

    Day 17 – USA (Illinois) – NFD

    Good control yesterday although about 1000 calories. Maintaining. Today is travel to daughter’s in Utah. Will hopefully get to read posts later on!

    Onward and downward.

    Day 17 – UK – NFD

    Happy Wednesday everyone!

    Day 17……. Florida……FD

    It kind of been an odd week for me…. I just remembered I didn’t post yesterday, it was an NFD for the record. A terrible one at that. We had one of our reps bring in cookies on Mon. I was so good on Mon., it was my FD, so I did not have any. but yesterday…. as they floated through the air I gobbled up everyone that floated by me. Oh boy, it was a whole lot of them. 2lb gain on the scale worth of them.
    I was actually thinking, I really need to wrap my head around getting things back under control, this crap is getting ridiculous.

    I just have a question, this is an odd one. Do you think our bodies can form a habit. What I mean is…. Since Nov., I have fasted M, W and Fri and for the most part, they are solid good fasts. So you think my body is use to that so instead of losing weight it adjusted to not eating those days and it is preventing me from losing weight?
    I mean, I really haven’t lost any additional weight since mid March and now we’re into mid May and I’m getting a bit restless with no results not even results in the closet either.

    Okay well, I’m off!

    Chin up Princess….. your crown is slipping!

    Day 17 – FIN – FD

    It feels like yesterday’s NFD was the first successful NFD in a while, and I’m really pleased for that. After the breakfast mentioned in my last post I had broccoli, bean & mozzarella soup for lunch, curd & yogurt mix with seeds, nuts, strawberry puree/jam and blueberry powder + a satsuma for snack before my dance class, a banana after returning back home and stuffed peppers for dinner. I did also indulge in two pieces of chocolate and five mint chocolates in the evening, but I’ve allowed myself those small treats – eating a few sweets on a day you work out is according to my research the best time to indulge in something sweet (if you feel the need to do so).

    I’m going to try a liquid (water + tea) only fast today as well. 1.4 liters so far (my teacup is 4 dl and my glass is 3 dl; I really recommend using big glasses & mugs).

    @songbirdme‘s post reminded me that I’m allowed to donate blood again next Tuesday (here, a woman has to wait 90 days in between donations). Last time I tried donating in February, they turned me away since my Hb levels were too low (a 123 g/l average from all tests – the low limit here is 125 g/l for women). I haven’t eaten the iron tablets they gave me (whoops), but hopefully the levels have gone up even without that. The studies on the effect IF has on Hb seem to be a little conflicting – googling around a bit, I found several tests that indicated Hb levels go down on a IF diet, and one in which the opposite seemed to apply for men. I’ll find out what applies in my case next week.

    @sirisan Nice to read that my username makes you smile. I’m actually not at all familiar with that series, but having looked it up just now, it seems very interesting. In case you’re interested, I constructed my username from the first two letters of my second name (Ch) + umi (romanized Japanese meaning ocean).

    Pocket list for day 17 (hopefully I didn’t miss anyone; copy & add your name to the list if you want to join):

    Day 17 – UK – NFD

    Visitors leave tonight, actually looking forward to a fast day tomorrow as I haven’t been able to do one for 9 days while entertaining the visitors. Can’t wait to hopefully start the weight moving in the downward direction again. I am happy that I have not gained back the 1.5 kg that I lost on the first week. I have been as strict as possible and tried to make good choices, I am sure that checking in everyday onto this wonderful community has really helped me to stay focused.

    Day 17, Belfast, NFD

    Just catching up with everyone’s posts…there’s sooo many! And so much encouragement.

    Good luck everyone today!

    Day 17 Tasmania Aus NFD

    @bert1802 very interesting what you are saying about your regular fd’s and nothing moving. I had a very similar experience last year. Was doing the Monday, Wednesday and Friday fasts every week same as you hoping to move things a bit quicker than the 5:2 and was not budging at all for five or six weeks! Which was obviously very disheartening but someone gave me the advice to change it up a bit so the next week I decided I was only doing two days and I was going to have Monday off. So I had a nice nfd Monday, fasted Tuesday and Thursday and on Friday found that I had dropped about 1.5 kgs from memory! I truly don’t understand how our bodies work relating to releasing weight no matter what I’m told about a certain calorie deficit equals a certain weight loss. For me it doesn’t seem to work exactly like that.
    Anyway my advice to you would be to change it up a bit. I now try to move around my fasting schedule sometimes as that does seem to work better for me for some reason. I hope this helps. Good luck with it and I hope you see some movement soon.

    Day 17 – Perth, W.Aust – NFD

    Chose to make it a control day, not recording my FDs as closely as usual, so want to make sure I don’t get too way-laid.

    MAY we all be strong, resilient, resourceful and aMAYzing.

    London | Day 17 | FD

    Day 16 – turned out to be NFD – oops!
    So, today I’m trying to make up for that with a 36-h water fast. Came to work prepared with my FD staples: sparkling water and sugar-free gum.

    checked my weight yesterday morning – 64.1 kg…down by nearly 1 kg! Not quite sure where that came from but I’ll take it. I was on a bit of a plateau for a few months – hovering between 67-65kg. I was careful and determined not to let my self get into the 70’s again. So after only 2 FDs this month, a significant loss is quite the bonus 🙂
    Thank you to those who replied to my question about drinking 3L of water – having thought about it more, I probably do achieve that on an FD, in total fluid intake.

    Haven’t seen any sign of a ‘whoosh effect’ yet though. I’m not asking for much – a few kg’s to get me close to my maintenance weight would suffice :-p

    We’re driving up to Edinburgh tomorrow night and will be back on Monday. It’s my niece’s 7th birthday tomorrow. We’re all getting together for a family celebration over the weekend 🙂
    I will try and check in while I’m up there, but will catch up on spread sheet updating after I get back. In the mean time please update your FDs/NFDs if you can/want to (thank you all for your help doing it up to now).

    I’m adding my name to the pocket list – It’ll keep me on the straight and narrow until tomorrow lunch time:

    @basyjames
    @fivetwofan5252
    @skinnylove
    @lilymartin
    @fraub
    @biddiev
    @jarbia
    @shera10000
    @jmh44
    @brightonbelle
    @bigviking
    @flourbaby
    @bert1802
    @chumi
    @pissupoosa

    All the best lovely people!

    2nd post – I agree @bert1802 with @loubelles – I think to myself that our bodies have minds of their own and like to play little games. Yes they may get use to a routine – isn’t that why we have been advised a low calorie diet doesn’t work as our bodies adjust to the lower calories and lower the metabolism accordingly. So if you are fasting 3 days a week and eating generally the same amount of calories on your nfd’s you body is expecting that and is holding fast. Whereas if we mix it up a little – we keep our bodies on its toes and it doesn’t get into a habit. Sometimes it needs to feel safe to let go. Try mixing it up to see if it can jump start a weight expulsion, no harm in giving it a go.

    I also think sometimes if we have haven’t achieved our fast day and we try the next day and the next getting more frustrated – it is sometime better just to draw a line, have a good NFD enjoy the food/company and then try again for a better fast day the day after.

    Day 17 Chicago, Illinois USA – NFD

    Day 17 Maine NFD

    Good morning all! Another sunny day here – tree buds are popping & tulips open wide. Just beautiful! Our summer playhouse is opening tonight for the season. They gave local workers a free ticket & 2nd one for $10….big savings – tickets usually sell for around $70 each. Hubby & I are going – just bout everyone I know in town is going – the show is Mama Mia. Our local grocery store is hosting a pre-show cocktail party. We decided to have a group of friends in for a “light” supper pre-show, pre-cocktail party. Just a bunch of salads & small grill cheese sandwiches to eat out on our deck. Actually have tomorrow off also, so looking forward to a fun night – so happy it’s warm & sunny, finally!

    Make it a terrific day everybody! Chicken salad calling my name!

    me again – again here is another post I had put on last year which some may find interesting

    Just wanted to quote a piece out of The Obesity Code

    This is the ancient secret. This is the cycle of life. Fasting follows feasting. Feasting follows fasting. Diets must be intermittent, not steady. Food is a celebration of life. Every single culture in the world celebrates with large feasts. That is normal, and it is good. However, religion has always reminded us that we must balance our feasting with periods of fasting – ‘atonement, repentance or cleansing’. These ideas are ancient and time-tested. Should you eat lots of food on your birthday? Absolutely. Should you eat lots of food at a wedding? Absolutely. These are times to celebrate and indulge. But there is also a time to fast. We cannot change this cycle of life. We cannot feast all the time. We cannot fast all the time. It won’t work. It doesn’t work.

    So for all with family celebrations and or holidays enjoy them without guilt you do not need to feel guilty any longer. We know the ancient secret of enjoying one of life’s pleasures and losing weight.

    Day 17 USA NFD
    Had a very “by the book” FD yesterday, which I needed. Today is very cold and rainy here and I am experiencing one of those days where I can’t warm up (something I periodically go through with this WOL). My plan today is to not let the dreary day trigger a food festival! Thanks everyone for the recipes. I’m excited to try them out!

    Day 17, USA, Missouri Ozarks, FD

    Today’s weight 143, below goal weight of 145.

    Hello all, been awake since 2 a.m., horrible lightning and thunder – lit up the whole room. Got up, came into the den and turned on the tv. Watched two repeats of last night’s news programs and then at 4 a.m. – Dr. Phil. haha….
    Didn’t get a drop of rain which we actually wanted as we had about a thousand dollars worth of granular fertilizer spread on the pastures yesterday. Oh well, it should rain today.

    Almost made me something to eat being I was awake in the wee hours, thought about Greek yogurt with granola and blueberries – but didn’t want to break my fast until dinner tonight so I abstained. And didn’t collapse from malnutrition or anything ! Did some counter pushups and triceps dips instead – would have hit the exercise room and did some biking but my husband was sound asleep after a hard day of supervising and telling the fertilizer guys what to do so I kept my exercises quiet.

    Wishing all a great day.

    Day 17 – Toronto – NFD

    A different week this week as a I typically fast on M and Ws but this week it will be M and Friday as we are celebrating my husband’s uncle’s 70th birthday tonight at an Italian restaurant. Lord help me as I find between the wine, appetizer, main and dessert one can easily consume 2000 calories in one meal at an Italian restaurant!

    Had a good NFD yesterday at 1700 calories. I was so tired after work but pep talked my way to getting a HIIT exercise in and am proud of myself for that! I follow various fitness accounts on instagram and find watching a few instastories of these women who kill it at the gym motivates me to get my butt there! One of the upsides of social media 😀

    @coda – love that quote. Must remember it when feasting guilt tries to cause emotional eating….

    Pissupoosa, have a great time and don’t worry about the spreadsheet. You certainly don’t need to update me (and I won’t even update me as I hate to do spreadsheets, haha…) Just reading and posting here is enough for me (and many others, I am sure). You don’t need to stress about keeping up with all the “paperwork”.

    I just post to keep accountable, you don’t need to keep track of it.

    I am sure everybody joins me in thanking you for all your hard work !

    @chumi thank you for adding me to the pocket fasters, @coda thank you for the inspiring excerpt. I really enjoy this WOL, I am one of those people who was always on one diet or another and I never felt like I could enjoy eating without feeling guilty. As I got older, my diets stopped working; no matter how much I exercised, the scale wouldn’t budge and my clothes were just getting tighter. The best thing about ADF (apart from the weight loss)is the ability to enjoy good food with family and friends without feeling like a failure. I was able to splurge over mother’s day without regrets. Yes, the scale reflected my splurge, but so what ?
    It’s not a diet, it’s a way of life. I feel so much better and have so much more energy than I used to.
    Be good to yourselves people. We only have one life, let’s make the most of it. Onward and downward!

    Feeling bored at work – did you guess?

    OH has just announced that I need to be ready to leave the house at 5pm on Saturday with a change of clothes packed???? No idea what he is up to or where I am going. I thought if anything was going to happen it would be next weekend, after my birthday. Maybe that is what he thought I would think lol. I will keep you posted as to where I end up.

    Day 17 – USA – FD

    @bert1802, do you think you might be at your set point? @coda, thank you for the great comments about the cycle of feasting and fasting. I’m in today with the pocketeers:

    2nd post.

    It’s 15.21 and I’ve just finished catching up on two weeks’ posts. Had planned to catch up two days’ worth each day but these forums are addictive!

    @Shatzii, @sirisan, @songbirdme, @at, @flourbaby, @goldensun, @snowflake56, @okeydokey, @lindasue‘, @coda and @debster251 (and anyone else I might inadvertently missed) – thank you for thinking of me on my birthday and sending me birthday wishes even though I was offline. As I said in my earlier post, you were all with me throughout our cruise and helped me make stay on track (apart from the alcohol – lol).
    @pashaw – sending hugs to you and your OH. You’re both inspirational and I’m so pleased to hear of the good news you both received.
    @lilymartin – great rant – doesn’t it feel soooooooooo good afterwards!!! Totally cathartic and we all need that from time to time.
    @and…exhale – I’ve completely missed the fact that you are musical too – hope all your concerts went well.
    @ciren2 – hope you are ‘lurking’ and your Mojo is returning so that you will return to us soon.
    @annnursekirk – ditto my message above – we benefit from your presence as much as we hope you benefit from ours.
    @happymargo – I hope no news is good news?? I’ve missed reading about your feet but certainly missed you in our April challenge. So pleased you’re back with us.
    @bert1802 – thinking of you through this difficult time – you’re amazing to be able to keep some humour in your posts. I’ve mentioned before my similar experience with my mother-in-law who has now departed. It’s very hard and sad to watch. All the best to you and your sister.
    @okeydokey – you deserve a medal the size of a frying pan after your recent dental visit. Stay strong and don’t think about the next lot of treatment until you have to.
    @songbirdme – I bet your brother will have been overwhelmed with the send-off that his family and friends gave him. Hope each day is getting brighter for you.
    @coda – MOTHS!! Except the following posts dispelled that one! Cheap material sounds a likely contender to me. Great posts thank you.
    @fatrabbit – great to hear of your son’s positive progress. Remember that old proverb ‘slowly, slowly, catchy monkey’. Well done on being such a supportive Mum.
    @bigviking – a BIG well done on your outstanding results to date!
    @lynzm – so good to follow your ups and downs which you always post with a ‘smile’ on your face.
    @lany36 – I wasn’t here myself a lot this month but agree that we do miss regular members. For example – where is @dykask this month??
    @scs – Hope you and hubby enjoy Mamma Mia!

    Finally, we attended a nutrition seminar on the ship and I heard some interesting facts that I shall share in a future post as I’m aware this one has been long enough – hahaha!

    Day 17 – Scotland – FD
    So far so good. Being busy helps. Although this morning I was in the city centre with baby and all those patisseries and cafes were a massive temptation! the smell of freshly baked stuff and cooked food really hit me around 12. But I managed to survive and now it’s too late to give up! 😉 Afternoon busy with filling my application for uk Permanent residency. Now I’ll enjoy my cup of coffee while sorting out all my payslips in chronological order. At least baby is still having his nap!

    Day 17 – SW WA USA – FD #3 of 5

    Will catch up on posts a little later. Got to go through more clothes. Taking two bags to school to share with someone who’s glad to get them.
    Had a strength training time at the gym today. Worked out moderately as I’m still building strength post injury.

    Have a great day! Together we are stronger!

    Day 17 – NFD 😊

    @strawberriesandcream – Dykask advised at beginning of May ‘My goal in May is to continue to improve my diet and try to get back on track where I have more time to work out consistently. So I won’t be commenting much as I have a massive amount of code to get done.
    I look forward to coming back a little down the road and hearing about the amazing progress people have made’!

    Day 17 – MT USA – FD

    I’m hanging tough with the fasting even though the lack of weight loss is very demotivating. I’m bummed about the scale, but the fasting today isn’t too much of a bother. I have planned my favorite FD dinner tonight – husband is traveling so breakfast dinner (pancakes, eggs and sausage) for the kids and for me scrambled egg beaters with sauteed zucchini and mushrooms, topped with a little shaved parmesan and crushed red pepper. Barely over 300 calories and very filling. If I’m dying of hunger by dinner, I’ll add 100 calories of smoked salmon.
