    STILL learning!
Thought yesterday was so well controlled that it might qualify as an 800 calorie FD. Crunched the numbers. An orange, 1/2 apple, 4 cups white tea/coffee, 1 cup of ham/vegetable broth, 3 ozs chicken and some vegetables , 1 slice wholemeal bread unbuttered, 1 scone/biscuit = 1120 calories.
Told DH that since I was so close to TDEE I was going to eat some chocolate and get to TDEE.
Come to bed instead he suggested.
Well, I thought, now that’s an invitation!! Showered and got to bed to find DH fast asleep. Nudged him in the ribs and said, ‘ well I’ve come to bed as you suggested.’
He sleepily replied ‘ I always found it helpful when we were doing the 40 hour Famine years ago. It stops you picking at food.’ With that, he turned over and went back to sleep!!
At least I caught up with some reading – currently reading Dr M’s 5:2
@okeydokey- your dental experience sounds horrendous. Holding your hand and thinking of you.
@lynz – think we’ve all been there. Day at a time.
    @coda – great post
@bert – welcome back, good to hear from you .
    Go well all🙃

    Day 11/ CD NFD/Melbourne Australia

Lost a long post thanks to faulty internet.

Have a happy, healthy and mindful day everyone.

    Day 11 NFD Brunei

After a successful fast day yesterday I am aiming to avoid sweet treats and snacks today. I will have a couple of beers later though, so trying to offset the calories from those in advance.

I have also had trouble sleeping this week and am intrigued by the magnesium advice. Going to read up on it now and hopefully it’s something i can easily get hold of here.

Tomorrow I may fast in the day, so as to not over-indulge at the curry themed dinner party tomorrow night.

Have a good day everyone! Thanks for all the interesting posts.

Day 2-11 Sydney Australia – NFD
Sorry I didn’t check in for a few days, as I got tooth pain recently, so didn’t Fast at all. Will try tomorrow. Still need to fix my tooth next week, under root canal treatment, tooth pain is too horrible. Hope everyone are going well this month.

    Day 11 UK FD

185.6lbs Down again:)) Yesterday was a NFD but I still didn’t eat much, probably about 1100 calories worth, so that is why.

My son is still fasting. He has lost ten pounds in less than a month, although nothing from his waist so far. He still won’t try new foods so his diet is very restricted unfortunately, the replacement shakes are a bit too sweet imo but are better than the sugary cereal with several extra spoons of sugar that he would otherwise eat. I can’t get him off the bread either:(( He is so stubborn, but at least he is reducing the amount he eats and has used the exercise bike a few times. He is weaning himself off his anti depressants too so is feeling a bit delicate so I need to tread carefully.

    Day 11 | London | NFD

Fast day went well yesterday. Today I will do 16:8. I’m going to mum for dinner and need to be mindful, following last week; when I ate all the food !

    Good day everyone.

    Day 11 Oman NFD

    Day 11
    West Midlands UK
    FD

    Day 11 Newcastle UK NFD.
Will try and stay more focused on these NFD till our weigh day on Monday. I don’t want to count calories on the NFD but need to stay clear of processed sugary carbs. As a treat I had a large bread crust with butter and marmalade last night bliss lol normally I would of had 3 or 4 slices of bread and then my tea so self education seems to be working ok. Keep at it people.

Hello from co down uk day 11 maybe a fd?

Here is another post from the past some may find an interesting read and which may resonate with some.

If we were all able to eat when we’re hungry and stop when we’re sufficiently full, we’d be the right weight for our individual bodies. Our bodies are equipped with innate sensors telling us when we need to eat and when we are satiated. So what gets in the way of eating when we’re hungry and stopping when we’re full? What causes us to sabotage our natural hunger regulators? Why do so many of us fall prey to cravings, mindless eating and emotional eating?
Emotional eating can rear its ugly head in many ways. Eating just because you’re bored, tired, lonely, anxious, uncomfortable, happy and so forth all count as emotional eating. Emotional eating and feeling out of control around food can be a problem at any weight; you don’t have to be overweight to struggle with it. Eating our emotions gets in the way of really understanding our hunger and fullness cues.
WHY SHOULD YOU ADDRESS EMOTIONAL EATING?
Getting emotional eating under control can make a difference in not only weight, but it can also lead to a greater sense of peace about food, body image and other related issues. Since we all want to be healthy physically, mentally and otherwise, how can we stop eating our emotions? I’m so glad you asked! The first step is pausing and asking yourself if you’re really hungry.
ASK YOURSELF IF YOU’RE TRULY HUNGRY
I know—it sounds too simple, but part of learning how to stop eating your emotions means investing the time to stop and assess yourself. Before reaching for something to eat, briefly pause and ask yourself if you’re physiologically hungry. Take a moment to decide if the feeling you are experiencing is true hunger or if it’s something else. If you decide it’s real hunger, go prepare a meal or snack that’s suitable for the time of day and the amount of hunger you’re experiencing. If you’d like some help assessing whether you’re physiologically hungry, read more about the hunger scale.
If you pause and figure out you’re experiencing some other emotion (such as boredom, anxiety, loneliness, fatigue, etc.) take actions that make sense based on that emotion.
For example, if you want to reach for something to eat, but you pause and decide you’re really feeling bored and lonely, reach out to a friend, go for a walk, write a letter or create something. If you decide you’re feeling anxious about an upcoming deadline, create a list of tasks to be completed and start checking things off.
Are you a visual learner? Check out this simple eating-decision tree below.
    Decision Tree
THREE TIPS TO STOP EATING YOUR EMOTIONS
Now that we’ve talked through the basic principle of listening to hunger cues, the next step is to figure out how to be more attuned and aware of what our bodies are trying to tell us. Here are three simple tips to help you differentiate true hunger cues from emotional triggers.
    1. Stop with the all-or-nothing thinking. Emotional eating is often a result of not feeling good enough or determining that we’ve already “messed up” for the day, so we might as well really mess up by eating this entire gallon of ice cream! Avoid this destructive thought process. Instead, remember: Healthy eating is not perfect eating, and perfect eating is not healthy eating. No one is “perfect” with eating, so don’t let one day or moment of careless eating affect your eating choices. Each day is a new opportunity to nourish your body and to develop greater sensitivity to your hunger and fullness cues.
    2. Eat mindfully. Have a glass of water. Sometimes we feel hunger when it’s actually thirst. Let eating be its own activity. Don’t eat while driving, working at the computer, watching TV and so forth. Make decisions about what to eat at the grocery store; it’s much easier to avoid troublesome food items when they are not in your cupboard. When you do sit down to eat, be present in the moment, enjoying not only the taste of the food but also the texture, smell, sight, sound and the company around you.
    3. Reach out. Don’t be afraid to ask for help if you feel your emotional eating has gotten out of control. Reach out to trusted loved ones with defined ways they might be able to support you in your efforts. Consider discussing these food struggles with a professional who is equipped with knowledge and training specific to emotional eating issues. A registered dietitian (RD) and a qualified mental health professional are good places to start in your search for a healthier relationship with food.
Improving your relationship with food takes practice, so it’s OK not to have immediate results. Celebrate your successes, and learn from your struggles as you continue to move forward and make improvements. Be compassionate and kind to yourself, and remember to pause before eating, listen to your body and honor what it’s telling you to do.

    Day 11 UK FD 🌈

Getting it done. Planned food for the day ✅ exercise class booked ✅ water ready to take to work ✅

Gonna be a good one, have a good day all. Whatever happened yesterday if good continue the momentum, if not so good draw a line and make today better! 😊

    Day 11 – NFD

Fasts done for this week, will keep on track til weigh in on Monday 😊 Keep up the good work everyone nearly at the half way point!

    Day 11, UK, FD

    Day 52 of my diet (26x 0 kcal FDs and 26 NFDs) and I have lost 2st / 28lb / 12.7kg 😀

    For May I am down 7.7lb / 3.5kg

    Day 11 Belfast FD B2b
Another sunny day and I never thought I’d see myself praying for rain, but we’re going to Portugal for 10 days at the weekend and I have spent the last couple of weeks making and planting a raised veggie bed. Unfortunately I have no one to water it, so I’m rather putting it in the hands of nature! Lack of rain is not our usual problem😎
    @lilymartin lol!
@pissupoosa thank you so much for the spreadsheet and your stewardship.👍
Thank you @coda for your great posts as usual.
Have a good one my fasting family.

    Day 11 – FIN – FD

Yesterday I ended up having the last slice of cake for dessert at lunch. I also ate a square of dark mint chocolate in the afternoon, but I feel like I didn’t go overboard as I didn’t feel stuffed at the end of the day (my other meals were lighter), which makes yesterday an improvement compared to the past week.
Today I have yet to break my fast. Right now, the hunger pangs are pretty strong. Will have a few cups (Ă  4 dl) of tea/infusion soon, but as of now I still have no plans as to what I will eat today. Maybe I’ll do a liquid fast? The idea of having a meal plan obviously hasn’t taken concrete shape yet.

@okeydokey I hope your dentist appointment goes well and will help you feel more at ease for future appointments. I have one coming up on Friday as well, but it’s just a regular checkup.

@pissupoosa The spreadsheet looks great! The colors make it pretty informative – haven’t seen that done before. It’s great if you can keep up doing that much work on it, but as others said, don’t feel pressured to – I assume most if not all of us will be happy with a lot less. Also, I noticed you’ve marked Mon-Tue as fasts for the rest of the month – I’m sorry if I’ve been unclear, but I’ve never done B2Bs so far and usually fast Mon & Thu. If you continue with this awesome spreadsheet as is, I would appreciate if you could correct that.

Today’s pocketeers (took the liberty of adding everyone who’s mentioned they’re fasting to the list once again):

Hello All! I haven’t managed to catch up on posts yet – I hope everyone is hanging tough! It’s good to be back, although I’m still on hols and won’t really get back into it until next week, as my lovely OH is taking us away for a 2-nighter with dinner, bed and breakfast… + being taken to Mother’s Day lunch out by the kids on Sunday. Hopefully it will all be sane and controlled, but we’ll see 😉

For our Lovely Leader, Pissupoosa: Melbourne: Days 4 – 12 NFDs (thanks, p’poosa!)

All days have been 16:8 CDs so far; I will enter days 13 and 14 after the event.

I have been on holiday and I walked for 2 hours/day from the 5th to the 10th inclusive, and today I was on my feet for about 2 hours, but it was ‘wandering’, rather than walking. Yippeee! I have really enjoyed it. Now the trick is to work out how to get something similar happening when back at work…

Day 11 UK NFD ahhhh it was all going so well , I was busy decorating yesterday when I stopped for a coffee and thought I’ll have a quick snack as a treat , well it’s a familiar story ☹️ Once the floodgates are open . Thanks for the inspirational post Coda there are still 20 days left in May and I’m aiming to get back on track ,might not get the opportunity to fast again until Monday but will aim for controlled NFDs and have plenty of exercise planned

    Day 11, Gozo Malta, nfd

    Have a great day everyone.

Hello yes its going to be a fast day

@fourbaby – I have started to do a green juice on my fast days – my OH and I love JV’s turbo charge smoothie. It makes quite a lot but I split it between OH and myself. If I feel like something at lunch I will have some juice but keep the bulk for later. Not sure of the total calorie – mfp estimates 12 oz at 416.

Way to go @bigviking – you may have to change your name soon to littleViking lol

Day 11, London, FD (I think)

@okeydokey, you can and will do this, it will be difficult and it will test ALL of your fortitude and resolve, but when it’s over you’ll be able to pat yourself on the back and be proud to have done something which literally pushes you to your limit. Good luck today, @fordprefect doesn’t need 2 working hands, so just hold tight to one of them and squeeze!!!!! Thinking of you today!!

Should be a busy day today followed by yoga straight after work, so ‘mindful’ is the word of the moment, there’s no need to blow today…………. Not so busy tomorrow after morning pilates………. Now that’s going to be tricky!!!!

There was someone on the April challenge who didn’t really like chocolate, now @debster251 who really doesn’t like bacon!!!!! @bigviking, you said it so well ………………… ‘Huh?’

@pissupoosa, I happen to have a lovely 750ml water bottle, which I’ve been using for some time and logging consumption, it’s easy to fill it 4 times a day and easy to track that way. I’ve found that a combination of fasting and 3L of water leads to my biggest losses. I believe someone said on a previous challenge, that empty fat cells (after fasting) store water in preparation for the expected famine, but drinking water allows them to release these stores………… hence the ‘Big Whoosh’ I sometimes experience when I combine lots of water and FDs.

As we approach the weekend my plan is, well ….………… to plan!!! I need to get back to good habits and mindful eating, snacking really isn’t me so just ‘cause it’s only £1 in the supermarket does NOT mean I have to buy it………………….. nor eat it!!!!
Planned meals and water and MFP and remaining controlled!! I’ve never actually wished I worked 7 days /week before!!!!

Good luck everyone, We’ve got this!!!!!!!!!

    Day 11 – UK – FD

Thanks for the spreadsheet @pissupoosa – I really like the colours too!

    Day 11 Maine FD

Good morning all – back to work – weighed myself – up .8 on NFD’s. I think that ‘s the smallest gain on NFD since I started in Feb! Very pleased….had fun, ate what I wanted & tried just being mindful. I feel like this will be a very successful FD!

Make it a super day everybody!

Day 11 – UAE – FD (last day of B4B)

    Day 11 Tasmania Aus NFD

Finally dropped 200gms from last week which included 3 fd’s. Very funny how the body seems to hold and release weight. Anyway glad to be letting some go. Had planned a b2b from yesterday but feel like I have been trying to fit in too many perhaps and don’t want to burn out, so sticking to my official 2 fd’s this week.

    Day 11, Belfast, FD

@okeydokey good luck today – nice deep breaths, I’m sure you’ll be fine!

I also found on FDs that my sleep was getting interrupted…either running to the loo or just the slightest sound would awaken me. Might look into the magnesium spray too – thanks @flourbaby.

@pissupoosa – the spreadsheet is looking great. As others have mentioned keep it simple if you need to. I’ve still to get a tape measure to add my measurements as even just a before/after for May would be interesting.

    I weighed myself yesterday and I was heavier than when I even BEGAN the 5:2 at the start of April. I’ve no idea what is going on…the scales, our floor, weighing on a NFD…??? I used to weigh myself the day after my second fast so I think I’ll just keep to that. I’m trying not to get discouraged as I know our weight can fluctuate even in a day. But jeez :{

Anyway, today is a new day and I will add myself to today’s pocketeers:

    @fatrabbit
    @shera10000
    @coda (?)
    @lynzm

    @belfastsink

Good luck everyone. Hope you have a good ‘un

    Day 11- Scotland – NFD
Morning all, this morning the scale was very kind to me (58.8, yeah! I don’t think I have seen this number since I was pregnant with baby no. 1!!!)e. Yesterday fast was harder, maybe because I wasn’t particularly busy plus I went to the supermarket to buy some milk right when they were taking the bread and the pastries out of the oven…I never buy that (they are frozen anyway!), but the smell was delicious! Today I’ll have a slice of cake after lunch (I have already prepared a healthy bean salad) and a venison burger with roasted vegetable for dinner. Breakfast was a slice of bread with peanut butter (minus two bites stolen by my boy!). It’s easy to skip breakfast when in a rush, but when there is a relaxed atmosphere it’s such a shame. After all, my main aim is normality more than losing weight – I’m a terrible binger, so eating a slice of cake and/or a biscuit is more difficult than eating a full packet of biscuits, a full ice cream tub, a chocolate bar (or several) etc. All in one go, of course.

    Day 11………..Florida……NFD

Thank you everyone for the welcome backs. It’s good to be back to my regular scheduled programming although I wish I did not have to work. Oh such is life.

So, when I got home I did weigh myself, the scale said I had an incredible amount of weight gain, almost 7 lbs, but after a semi good FD, it only showing a three lb gain as of last week. I’m gonna take that as a win.

Oh my mom well that a story and a half….. she’s gone against medical advice, her doctor dropped her as a patient because he said he refuses to be responsible for her. Kicked me and my sister out of her house and the whole 9 yards.
My sisters and I are at our wits end with her. Even worse, all the mean and nasty things she said to my sister broke her heart. That’s what kills me, she’s always been like that to me and at least civil to my sister.
So, I have no idea what our next step is going to be, my sister went home as I did but I give it a month and I’ll be back down there dealing with it again.

Well, I’m off…. my work duty is a calling!

Chin up Princess…… your crown is slipping!

    Day 11 – UK – FD

    Day 11 – Cumbria UK – NFD/CD

Another beautiful day – temperatures around 17 degrees and a warm breeze this morning ☀️

Broke my fast this morning when out with OH for brunch – Eggs Benedict served with ham hock and spinach with a ciabatta roll – only managed 1/2 the roll……….3 FDs does shrink your stomach…….feeling rather full atm…….
Weight down to 53.8kg/118.6lbs this morning well below my target weight of 55kg – plan is to keep eating mindfully for the rest of this week, keeping weight below 54kg if possible before I head down south this weekend to visit old friends for the week.

I’m in the bacon butties with brown sauce camp – although it’s not something I ever cook at home, but may have on a rare occasion………used to really hanker for these but seems to have gone off them in the past year……..

On the amount of water to drink – I try to drink a total of 3L – mixture of water, tea, coffee, kefir on most days but often only achieve 2L

@okeydokey – holding on to your hand for a calming influence during your dental visit – have you thought of some hypnotherapy to help ease your fears as a result of that childhood traumatic visit???
@pissupoosa – THANK YOU – great spreadsheet, love the way you identified the weekends – only do the whole daily thing if you have time and it does not cause you any stress – otherwise just go for start weight/measurements and final ones out of interest – most of us keep a log of what we do daily anyway but see how you go!
Just a small correction my start weight for the challenge was 54.4kg/119.9lbs just below my target weight of 55kg/121.3lbs
@songbirdme – hope it was a good celebration of your brother’s life and lots of good memories were remembered and shared x
@fatrabbit – good news re your son – baby steps as you say but he is moving in the right direction – you are setting him a good example 🤗
@coda – really motivating and mindful posts from you – thank you for sharing x
@bigviking – 2 stones in under 2 months – WOW and well done to you
@bert1802 – Mum may well have a degree of dementia or 02 deprivation than may be affecting her mental capacity – has she been assessed properly for this when last in hospital or by her GP? You can only try to keep her safe and you and your sisters keep each other strong by supporting each other – not easy I know – HUGS
@johnnyr – not heard from you for a while – Hope every thing is OK with you – you still with us??
@ciren2 – thinking of you – hope all is well – “Stay Patient and Trust Your Journey” 🤗

    AT…..
my mom does have 02 deprivation due to not taking care of her COPD when she was diagnosed about 12 years ago. Denial at its finest. The doc says she’s is only getting 48% of 02 to her brain.
She is suppose to wear constant oxygen but refuses to do so, so her condition just keeps getting worse.
As awful as it sounds since she refuses to do anything the doctor says, my sister and I are I guess just waiting for the fall out because anything we do, she calls the police and screams abuse.

    Day11- USA- FD

Day 11 akron oh b2b fasts day 1. Did not track my calories the last two days and think I over did it. Another day, another dollar, onward!
@bert1802 That’s a terrible situation to be in. I pray things work out for your family.

    Day 11, London, UK, FD
Day 10, NFD (very bad- I almost finished off a very large nag of mini eggs yesterday!)

@steve toon taxi driver – I totally agree; FDs go well but I let myself down on NFD. I don’t want to count calories, but I seem to stuff myself full of chocolate until I feel ill. I must try better this weekend & not go to Lidl to buy lots of cheap, but delicious pastries!

@coda – I will try to think about what I’m eating more and ask myself whether I really want it

@at – love the Socrates quote – I’ve put it on my noticeboard at my desk

    Day 11, Germany, NFD

@pissupoosa You really did a great job, it has been a huge amount of work you put into this! I’ll only be fasting on Mondays and will weigh in at May 31st. My measurements won’t change much so I won’t be measuring myself anymore. Don’t put all your time in the spreadsheet, there’s a life to live, Spring has finally come!

@okeydokey try to stay calm, there are a lot of us thinking of you, take care Hugs xxx

    Day 11 lancaster pa. NFD

    Day 11. Hampshire, UK. FD.

Have just discovered that I can have a big bowl of my homemade kimchi for only 35 calories! That is so exciting. It takes ages to eat and (on the day) no time to prepare! Something to munch when I get really hungry – how great.

    Sorry but …

*** Please will someone tell me where the link to the spreadsheet is? ***

I don’t think I have lost any weight in these 11 days of May so far, but probably because it has all been rather disrupted by work trips.

Tomorrow for the first time ever I am going to deviate from my tried & tested 5:2 regime! This is because this week I have only done one fast day and in order to get my second FD in, then I would need to do a B2B.

I don’t like doing back-to-backs! I really struggle to concentrate and I have blacked out when getting out of bed in the morning! Whilst this is clearly not terminal, it is also not enjoyable. And I don’t want to do something which makes me not enjoy my WOL!

So, I am going to try doing 800 calories in a 16:8 window. Is that correct?

Please feel free to ping me some advice on 16:8!!

    Thanks :0)

Day 11 Chicago, Illinois USA – NFD

    2nd post

Sorry everyone, I have now found the link to the AMAZING spreadsheet!
@pissupoosa – that must have taken you hours! Thank you!

Are we allowed to edit it ourselves? All my FDs get messed up due to work and now I am doing random things such as FD on a Sunday and then a FD followed by tomorrow a 16:8…… (I hope!)

    Thanks!

    Day 11 Portugal FD

Yesterday’s FD was definitely over 500 cal but no more that 800. As I was feeling a bit lousy all day, I am happy that I did so well. Today also FD. Not feeling so well today too…not sure what is wrong but I will try to make it through today under 500 cal.

Rain, rain, rain .. hasn’t stopped since last night. But the sun will return!

@fivetowfan5252 – please share this Kimchi recipe?

    Day 11, Germany, NFD

@coda wooooow! great points. I need to read them everyday 🙂 thanks
    Today no 16:8 too

    Hi @coda!

I got the kimchi recipe from Sandor Katz’s book called Wild Fermentation. You can also google his recipe (“Sandor Katz kimchi”) and the identical recipe comes up.

You just soak most of the ingredients overnight in brine and then leave to ferment for 7-10 days. So just veg and salt water basically! I don’t know exactly how many cals are in 100g so I took an average from all the online estimates I could find.

I add loads of ginger and loads of radishes to my kimchi as I think this makes it taste fabulous! I don’t add anchovy sauce as it is nice enough as it is. I’ve added seaweed to past brews and that works quite well too.

I also found another recipe which makes kimchi which is much more similar to the stuff you can buy in the shops, but I haven’t tried it yet. Have a look at vegancoach.co.uk and the ‘super simple kimchi’ recipe they’ve posted. Looks easy and more like the kimchi I am familiar with. It is also fermented, so still good for the microbiome :0)

Let me know how you get on!

Day 11 Florida USA NFD Tomorrow will be #2 FD this week, have the 2 meals planned. Today I’ll swim some laps as I’ve not exercised since Monday’s yoga. As others have said, I’m going to watch the sweets and carbs today too. It’s very hot here, high 80’s and no breeze. Summer’s come early. So I don’t feel like eating a lot anyway. Thanks again, @pissupossa, for hosting!

    Day 11 – USA – NFD

I’d love to fudge the numbers just to save my “face”, but who am I kidding? Yesterday’s FD was a bust….wound up under TDEE but over 500-800. I’ve only had one successful FD this month so far, and gained back 3-4 lbs.

    Hi everyone!

Unexpected business trip since Tuesday, been busy on the road so I decided to shift my FD to Friday-Sunday instead

Weirdly feeling bloated though?? Any ideas?

Day 11 – USA (in SanDiego) – NFD

Travel went well yesterday, military funeral this morning. Weather is gorgeous – glad for that. I’ve come down with a bit of a cold, so hopefully won’t be too miserable. Bringing my tissues. Two of our 4 children are here as well as my brother’s fiancĂŠe and his step-son. Also heard the step-son’s mom (brother’s ex) is in town too.

    Hugs to you all.

    Day 11 US FD 4th of b5b

@pissupoosa THANK-YOU! Awesome spread sheet! You have been busy! 1 little note @fordprefect lives in the US in Lancaster, PA. He’s my hubby. Thank-you so much for your efforts!……about the water. I had a plateau one week or so and @flourbaby had good results with drinking 3L of water. I have been giving it a try and whoosh. Basically I would say to someone who is interested; drink as much as feels comfortable. It seems to be helping the body let go of the fat. I drink as much as I can… I’m drinking more like 1.5 L and it seems to be helpful. No more plateau. . I also remember someone said on a previous challenge, that empty fat cells (after fasting) store water in preparation for the expected famine, but drinking water allows them to release these stores. It has worked for me. I will research the part about the fat cells a bit more. I take minerals and vitamins daily, keeping my nutrients up. I’ve seen where some one is drinking more than 3L at times. I’m realizing the amount has to be determined by the individual and what is comfortable for them. I think the info that @annemarilyn posted, One should drink half one’s weight in ounces. For example, a 200 lb person should drink 100 oz of water. That sounds like a good way to gauge the specific amount per person by their weight. Although I think common sense has to take precedent. Don’t over due it if you feel ill or badly. Based on our individual height to weight ratio and metabolism we each have to determine what works best for ourselves individually.
@steve-toon-taxi-driver My husband went to the doctor for a physical and check-up yesterday. Back in August his blood pressure was 210 over 180. The doctor was concerned for his life. He’s been doing the fasting diet since the fall. His blood pressure at the doctor’s office yesterday was 144 over 88. Sometimes 124 over 70 on days at home. So we are seeing health benefits. He will do alternate FD’s during the week. He did a b2b once. If your wife thinks the b2b is too much, maybe try the ADF. Only if that’s something you want to do. Because what you have been doing really seems to be working.😀We have seen beneficial health results and I beleive you will too.✨
@onahealthyhigh Wow,😲I bet your post was a good one. Sorry I missed it.
@stone17605 Wishing you well on your root canal. I had one a few years ago… ouch!
Maybe we could start a Pocket Group for getting through the dental procedures. ✨✨We can do this!✨✨Holding you hand for calming (safety) comfort at the dentist!

@fatrabbit You are still being a great example for your son! ✨Awesome! Our daughter has been following my and @fordprefects lead ( in her own way.) She lost 3lbs this week. Pretty good. She basically ends up doing the BSD 800 cals daily. More vegetables …It’s working well.✨
@coda Wow just Wow Thank-you so much for sharing. A very informative blog.✨I am planning to go back over it step by step. A lot of good mindful, helpful information and steps.😊

@at Holding hands Thank-you! I have done some hypnotherapy… gotten some of the issues. Working on the issue of claustrophobia and fear of not being able to breath while dentist, doctors have their hand in my mouth… yuck! I’m getting closer and will keep trying. Thanks for your support. They may get some done today and will probably have to schedule more for the future. With our wonderful group and @fordprefect I am so very Thankful and grateful. ✨I can make it through.
@snowflake56 I will stay calm.✨Thank-you for the encouragement.
@bert1802 very scary situation. Big Hugs to you and your sister. My mom had to wear an oxygen mask. She didn’t always want easy to keep it on. Her personality suffered near the end. I’m sorry you have to go through the trauma. Prayers for you, your sister and your mom.✨✨🙏✨✨🤗
@fivetwofan5252 I agree with you! I like kimchi also…low cals., great as pre-probiotics. So great for the intestine. I’ve read where people lose weight faster if their intestines are healthy. I think It also tastes great!

Thank-you to all who have started the Fasters Pocket Group Today.🤗

    Day 11 Notts UK

Today was supposed to be BSD800 and started off really well. However, after pictures this morning and soothing my friend who has been scammed out of ÂŁ5000!! (Know what I would like to do with those people!?!) I found a chocolate bar I had hidden at the back of the fridge a few days ago – and now the chocolate is no more.

Oh well, off to do some packing for tomorrows hols and clean the car and plant some baby butterfly bushes that have unexpectedly arrived today.

Will not have internet access while out in the Yorkshire Dales so will check back in on Sat 20th when hopefully I won’t have done too much damage.

Bon chance everyone – onwards and downwards.
