  • Try to just smell it SAMM!! Or better still, send it over here…

Graham, re your knees. Dont overdo the walking, esp hills or stairs until your weight starts to come off. As you mentioned they were already sore, it wouldnt take much to damage them if you overdo weightbearing exercise. Then they could be much worse with permanent damage. You wont believe the difference when you lose some weight though. A year ago I was told I needed new knees, but after losing 14 kgs they are so much better. As with Weemam, I dont like the noodles much, whilst others on here love them! Rinse them well and add lots of flavour, they are a great filler for minimal cals and a natural product.

And Amazon, all this time I thought you were the online retailer!

No, I’m the fearless female warrior πŸ˜‰

    We knew that, Amazon! πŸ™‚

    Good evening all,
Fantastic day which included much eating, all healthy, home cooked and very, very tasty. Skate wing and stir fry veg in black bean sauce for dinner, delicious.
Weemam, we told you to rinse and stir fry the noodles for a short time in a tasty sauce but I think you boiled them and put them in soup, not great that way.
If you prefer you can grate cauliflower to use as a filler, works well.
Smiffy had the zero pasta and rice I think but I love the noodles.

    Welcome Teresa-Louise,
Some tips, take what you will from them.
Feel free to ask for advice, that’s one of the reasons we are here 24/7.
Don’t decide to diet, decide to change your eating habits to ones that promote health. Fast to give your digestion a rest and then it can get to work cleansing and repairing your organs of toxins which will make you feel great- this may take 3 to 4 months but I promise you it is worth the wait. Get a pedometre and plan your walking. Drink lots of water. Record your calorie usage on myfitnesspal. Try zero noodles instead of carbs.

    Good Luck

Amazon, a name that says it all!
Fearless for sure, scared me when we met up.
Dragging me through swamps and forcing me onto treetop walks when I don’t usually climb a ladder.
Perhaps I should get a handle- mousey might suit me, scared of so many things.

But not scared of fasting, love it!

One thing you should all know newbies, I have changed beyond recognition both physically, mentally and emotionally in the last year. Controlling my eating and making new choices has given me confidence and much happiness.

You can change your life for the better too. Join us

    Morning All,
Weekend cut short as my daughter has a stomach bug and I need to get home and care for her. Cancelling lunch out, such is life. That’s the problem with teaching little ones, catching bugs. Another memorable Mothers Day bites the dust, but that the real essence of the job, being there for the ones you love when they are sick.

Hope all you mum’s out there have a great day and get thoroughly spoiled.

My own mum was pretty special, living to 90, I still miss her everyday, irreplaceable.

    Hi Fast trackers
Leaving in 8 hours for Sydney, Abu Dhabi and London. I will fast from NZ to Abu Dhabi as aircraft food not delicious. Especially after 36 hours flying.
    xx Wiwi

Travel safely, Wiwi, and hope to see you in the spring.

Have a safe trip, Wiwi. I’m now in Sydney on my way home. It was lovely to meet you. Cheers, Bay πŸ™‚

    Yay! Amazon. πŸ™„

    Morning/evening all.

Jojo forgot to mention that she exaggerates, there are no swamps in Richmond Park, just a few small bogs πŸ˜‰

Sorry your daughter is poorly Jojo. I hope she recovers soon.

My fast went t*ts up yesterday. I was so cold and hungry that I had my FD meal for lunch and then could not stop eating, but that’s the way it goes. I’m not in the mood today either, so I’m going to try to stick to 1,000 calories and start all over again tomorrow. I’ve lost 4st and 4lbs so far so I’m not going to fret over a couple of lost FDs.

For the record, I’m not fond of zero noodles as they don’t taste of anything. They need to be well rinsed and well mixed into something flavourful, and they help fill you up on a FD if you are feeling really hungry.

Mothers Day in the NH, enjoy yourselves Mums, you can fast tomorrow!

Have a good journey Wiwi, looking forward to meeting you next weekend πŸ™‚

    Safe journey wiwi.
    Welcome back Bay πŸ™‚
Fasts are meant to be flexible, Amazon.
I haven’t done a proper one for weeks. I’ll join you tomorrow.
    Cheers all Purple

    Hello All,
    Just joking Amazon!
I bought some mooli yesterday, radish like veg, planning on using it in a Burmese curry with potato. Any other ideas it’s a whoppa. Apparently it is used with cabbage in making Japanese Kimchee.

At home now nursing my daughter, she is already making progress and getting some sleep. The power of having Mum at hand, not to mention pain killers, hot water bottles and peppermints.

Can’t wait to meet you and your daughter Tangatawiwi so good of you to make a diversion to the South Coast.

I know you were joking Jojo πŸ™‚

I’ve probably eaten mooli but never bought it. Indian vegetables are something I’m always meaning to buy and use but never get round to doing so.
Spring is around the corner, along with English asparagus, and all manner of tender baby veggies, yum!

Purple, I won’t be fasting tomorrow but eating very healthily. I’m finding it difficult to fast if I’ve been using the cardio and resistance machines at the gym, just too hungry, so I’ll be fasting Tu, Th and either Sat/Sun for the time being.

    Evening/morning all,

I was just browsing some other threads and noticed a couple of interesting links to articles about losing body fat vs losing muscle, worth a read I think: http://www.pacifichealthlabs.com/blog/could-you-be-losing-muscle-instead-of-fat-heres-how-not-to-do-that/
    http://www.livestrong.com/article/447634-how-do-i-know-if-im-losing-muscle-mass-vs-fat/
I especially like the opinion that its better to lose slowly to minimize losing muscle! The authors are discussing traditional calorie restriction on a daily basis, but I still think there are some interesting points to think about. Good to also note that higher protein and lower carb is recommended.

    Hi all,
Did not do well yesterday after my FD Friday. I wasn’t that careful.
My house is a mess and under construction. Sister in law arrives tomorrow for 3 weeks.
Mentally I am all over the place! I have guests in and out and to entertain and cook and this is one the reason my weight ballooned 15 pounds the last 3 years.
It’s gonna be hard to FD without judgment and having to answers to many questions.
Safe travels, mothers are the best, happy days and good FD to everyone.

Nama, thanks for posting those links.

I’ve read them both and and am happy that as my exercise regime is heavy on cardio vascular and my waist is getting smaller that I’m on the right track. I have also been increasing the proportion of protein I’m eating and lowering the carbs, so I’m pleased that is recommended too.
One thing I wish is that people who write such articles would not recommend DEXA scans for body fat measurements. Despite the fact that it is not a high dose, it is ionising radiation and we all need to keep our exposure to that as low as possible. It is the same as routine health checks that use CT scans. It infuriates me.

Related to radiation but not fasting, when I came back from Cuba and was going through security in Havana airport, the alarm went off when I walked through the gate, and I was directed to stand against a large flat wall like machine. I asked what it was and the person directing me did not speak English but kept directing me to stand against it. I stood my ground and continued to ask, eventually saying the word x-ray.One of the other security staff said yes. I refused on the grounds of having been a classifed worker so she waved me through security! I was thinking about the alternatives to being x-rayed but was determined not to be irradiated. However they had no intention of searching me…..

    Hi Amazon,

I was glad to read about decreasing waist measurement too…mine has decreased 4 inches. Very interesting experience you had in Havana, true to your name you fearless female!!
Scary to think of those security people in charge of an XRay machine too!

It isn’t about being fearless, it is about self preservation. I don’t want any unnecessary exposure to radiation. I accepted occupational exposure as part of my job, but I’m not about to submit to any due to over sensitive security equipment. I had no metal in my clothing apart from my bra, and the alarm should not have triggered.

I’ve lost a whopping 15 inches from my waist, and it is now the correct ratio to my height which makes me very happy indeed. My BMI is down from 36.4 to 26.5 which is also a number I like πŸ˜›

    Amazon,
    Go girl! Make us proud!
Ha ha don’t envy those guards, teehee

The numbers cheered me up immensely when contemplating only losing 8lbs since the start of the year and thinking about how much I ate yesterday.

When talking to the security people I was very polite and respectful. They were all women in their 20s, and once they understood what I was saying, were very nice. I don’t think that would happen everywhere in the world……..

Yesterday was a great feed day!
I went over TDEE by 650 cals but I. Not worried at all.
I am armed with knowledge to perform HIT after a fry up. And that’s exactly what I did in the parking lot about 1/2 hour after eating. And again when I got home later . The jump rope isn’t a punishment. It’s a sincere effort to keep the fat in my blood after fatty meals lower than if no exercise at all.

Today is scheduled 27hour fast till I start work clocking in at 1 am.

But tommorrow if the strat of a two week planned break.
Last year I read and shared the planned break article about a study where ” calorie restriction dieters ” were asked to share their start and stop events for their diets. The group that was asked to take a planned break of 14 days all returned to their diets after the 14 days where. As the other groups had less than half returning to their diets. With that bit of info, and knowing that I have stopped fasting for months in the past.
I made a schedule , because I know I may still take more than a year to reach goal.

    On 4:3
Starting Jan 2 ten weeks of 4:3 (winter menu)
    Then two week planned break
Restarting march 29th ten weeks of 4:3 (spring menu)
    Then two week planned break
Restarting June 21st ten weeks of 4:3 (summer menu)
    Then two week planned break
Restarting September 13th 4:3 until Thanksgiving. (fall menu)
Then the holidays planned break .

I could that if I want to feast with the others I can fast the day before and the day after a large feast.
I could just maintain on planned breaks. However I see the five planned breaks as times to move from fasting to more exercise . But also as a detox time altogether. It’s 13 weeks of planed break.
Which means 4:3×39 weeks = 117 fast days per year.

ADF which has 182 fast days
    4:3 has 156 fast days
    5:2 has 104 fast days
For me personally looking at the numbers the 13 weeks of planned break.
However I’m using the 2lb a week formula of 2000 exercise and 5000 calorie restriction.
If I never go over TDEE the math should come to nearly 80lbs. That’s a bit optimistic so I’m aiming for the moon , but will be happy just getting over the trees.

I’m just sharing my approach , not saying one way s better than any other. We all ave to find what works and balance it with what we’ll stick with. I’m my case, I feel I need a long term lifestyle.

The lifestyle I lead is drug free as possible, no cigarettes, no alcohol, exercise, fasting, detox, eating adequate healthy foods diet. As far as the exercise I walk, jumperope, and weight train. Sometime in the near future I’ll bump up the fasting to the 96hour fast under supervision to see if it helps me in healthy way.

I have high confidence in this plan as doable for me.
I keep in mind that these are just my diet and exercise agenda, and not my life goals.
I still want to enjoy good food and have great times with friends and family on the lake for many years to come.

SAMM, I see things the same way as you, eat healthy foods as often as possible, exercise, and allow yourself a treat now and then. No point being healthy and miserable and IMO one of the best things in life is sharing a meal with family/friends. Of course, some of us have had to learn this the hard way, but we have all realised what we need to do and are trying our best to get there. It is easy to become obsessed with the goal and not think about the journey, something I think that you have avoided, and I really admire the way you have tackled your situation and worked out a long term plan.
I never thought I would be thin again, but now I know I can not only get there, but stay there for the rest of my life. As a single person, I worried about my future if I was unfit and became immobile and that was what made me do something about my situation. I discovered 5:2 by accident, and I like to think it was fate, as was finding this website and this thread. The benefits of sharing experiences with you and the other wonderful people on this thread cannot be put into words. I am so happy I found every one of you and I know I wouldn’t have got this far alone.
I wonder if Michael realises what he has started?

    Hello All,
Just back from a very cold dog walk, we are a hardy bunch us dog walkers. Every person I met today whilst out were dog walkers. Guess the non dog walkers were enjoying a nice afternoon watching TV or romantically snuggled up on a fur rug in front of a real fire( ok that’s my dream with Kevin Costner).

My daughter sleeping at last so I am chilling reading and catching up on emails. Might tackle some knitting but finding gloves a bugger to do. These patterns are worse than a foreign language.

Just had some spicy soup with crackers. Later I will have a skate wing and veg.

The trick with zero noodles is to not overcook them. Throw them in a stir fry one minute before you serve. Try a sweet chilli sauce, delicious and filling especially with prawns and meditteranean veg.

Hello all. I bought two pairs of trousers size 46″ waist instead of the 50″ I usually get, so it will give me something to aim for in the short term. Went out for a walk and realised halfway round I had forgotten to have any lunch before I set off, though I had had a high carb breakfast so that probably helped. Did about 7 miles altogether but all flat and no hills. Going to have steak tonight with new potatoes and sweetcorn. Fast day tomorrow, I’ll see how the fish for tea goes.

Graham, one of the things that will happen on your journey is that you will go through several wardrobes of new, smaller clothing before you reach goal. Putting a pair of trousers on only to have them fall down is at once disappointing and exhilarating!

Jojo, we should get together so I can teach you how to read a glove pattern!

    Hello

Lovely profound words Amazon. I feel happy and privileged to have discovered this WOE, this site and this thread.

In a few short weeks I feel supported by people who understand the ups and downs. The way that some days you feel so motivated and disciplined that you think you will conquer this forever, then with no warning it evaporates and you don’t know why.

I’ve had a lovely family dinner with my mum and dad, although missing my girls who are away at university. Followed by a decadent chocolate and strawberry cake I made yesterday. I thoroughly enjoyed a slice but pleased to report that I sent the rest to my sisters as she is having the family for tea and with 2 six foot strapping lads, they will polish it off no problem.

And then we took ourselves out for a brisk walk to help undo the damage. If I can cope with nothing more than a cup of bovril or a fruit re before bed I’ll even have stayed within TDEE.

Thank you for your stories and support

    Peace RT

    Hi RT,

I lost the plot completely this weekend and have eaten far too much. I don’t regret it as I enjoyed every mouthful, and for some unfathomable reason I needed to do it, but I’m struggling to work out how I ever managed to eat that amount day in, day out because right now I feel sooooo uncomfortable. So much for trying to stick to 1,000 calories today.
At least I know that I’ll never be able to return to that way of eating.

I like the Churchill quote πŸ˜›

Evning all . Just in for a quick visit as we have had a really busy 2 days .

Our lovely DIL and eldest son bought me a beautiful waterfall cardigan for mothers day in a size 16 but it drowns me . Felt bad about her having to take it back but over the moon at the same time .

Jojo I tried the noodles years ago when I was doing low Carb . I rinsed them over and over pal and I did have them in a stir fry BUT I couldn’t swallow them . Mind you that was some years ago pal and the might have improved since then .

    Happy Mothers day everyone .

    Wee xx

Morning fellow fasters, to echo RT’s words, wowee this thread has grown “overnight” so to speak πŸ˜€

Very early start for me today (I know not as early as RT though) so can’t stop for long. Glanced through the posts. Had a very busy day yesterday, was steno’ing at a dog show all morning, got home around 2pm, as I walked in the door had a phone call, managed a call of nature before friends arrived and after they left I still had some housework to complete and then get dinner ready, do some research then off to bed and, well, here I am πŸ˜†

Will try to get back online later but no promises as every time I say I will something happens and I don’t get there.

Ciao for now … AO xx

    Hi -Amazon,
Sounds like a plan for when the weather is better. If I am visiting my son I will let you know. If you are visiting the coast you can let me know. Not sure what our local Travel Lodge is like but we have some good boutique hotels and bed and breakfasts.

I too have over done the food this weekend but it has all been healthy as opposed to my habits of old. But I too have felt uncomfortable after eating too much. Obviously stomachs have shrunk which is good news.

Stomachs may have shrunk but eyes are still too big!

I had a home made pizza for dinner today. I should have had one on Friday when I first wanted it and I might have avoided the 2 day eating fest that followed. One of these days I’ll learn πŸ˜‰

I don’t know Kent at all, and have never been to the East coast, so it is now added to my long list of places to go!

Just found out my son is moving to Paddington, sounds good

    Morning all.
Hope your daughter is all better in the morning Jojo.
Top stats Amazon. Remember them when you go back for seconds πŸ˜‰
Hope that finger is in working order again Nama…I thought of you as I used my mandolin last night πŸ™
Hi RT. Churchill’s quote needs to be put in context. He was one of those responsible for the disastrous Gallipoli campaign. The mass slaughter of troops in WW1 was a failure they should have learnt from, but didn’t.
We went to a Rock and Roll market yesterday. Many of the girls were dressed in 50s style and standing to be photographed near old cars (the purple 2 door Valiant was ghastly). Sad thing was, Mr P and I both commented that nobody carried that much fat in the 50s. Really a worry how heavy many young women are.
    Mmmmm…looking forward to a water day πŸ™‚ P

    Hi Purple,
It’s the same here, lots of huge young people, something that not so long ago was unusual. It’s all those cans of sugary pop and cheap junk food that is to blame, along with families no longer sitting down togther at the table of an evening to share a home cooked balanced meal.
I’ve also noticed that a fairly large proportion of young adults prefer a can of calorie laden cola to a cup of tea or coffee.

I’ll be back on track tomorrow. I’m looking forward to going to the gym and working hard to prevent those extra calories from turning into fat.

    Go Amazon Woman! !!

    I’ll do my best!

I’m with you on tea instead of soda pop cola.
Many Tea have anti cancer properties, but add the sugar to it and it becomes very acidic.
If sweeten tea I sweeten it with stevia . Mainly because stevia isn’t artificial. But also not acidic.
If looking at the benefits of hydration one thing to be aware of is acidity of your drink. If the ph is closer to that of the ph of plasma. So the green tea with lemon and stevia is very close to a ph of 7.4 . Where as diet soda cola pop or any other soda drink has a ph of below 4. Extremely acidic.

I won’t demonize soda though it has uses. However it is one of the foods like gluten that seem not to carry a human requirement , and may do more harm than good . So I no longer drink the stuff.

Even yesterday at the cheese factory, I asked for water and lemon wedges, always carry mine own stevia packets. Ididnt used to drink tea, but now can’t fathom drinking anything else.

    Hi Purple

Lovely to see you posting. πŸ˜‰ I’m home again after a very enjoyable holiday in NZ. We played golf 10 times, including one day in two separate cities. Lots of happy walking and exasperating ball into hole problems. What’s not to enjoy!

In the whole 12 days I had one fast day. However, I am still on a sugar free Lent. I weighed myself this morning, and ta da! My weight is exactly the same as when I left here 13 days ago. πŸ™„

Sugar free is the way for me! My portion size was permanently retrained in the first two months of IF and it is impossible for me to eat what I used to. I never once felt hungry. In fact I thought I had over eaten.

Good fortune fellow fasters this glorious Monday.

    Cheers, Bay πŸ™‚

Top work Bay. Portion size is everything!
Enjoy your usual frenetic fast day housecleaning. πŸ™‚ P

    Great work Bay,
    Sugar free is the way
    Weigh to go, Bay

    Watch TV programme this Thursday

    Morning/evening all,

Thanks for asking Purple, finger great and back in the pool last week.

Another “Guilty” of overeating this weekend, despite a good fast day on Saturday! Another slow learner in this corner, back to the drawing board! Coffee and water only til dinner, plus a swim in between.

Go Bay! A lovely holiday and happy scales on your return…seems you have learnt this WOL well! Glorious morning in Melbourne too, I just love Autumn.

An SLR5000 Torana you say RT! I am impressed, they were hot! I did have a ride in one once, almost got whiplash! Glad your weekend was fun. I hope you can find Classic Restos, you would enjoy it. Fancy your workmates being jealous (thats what it is) of your Monday morning good humour, poor things.

SAMM I once read “Aim for the moon, even if you miss you will still land among the stars” Love it. Sounds to me like you will land ON the moon. I completely gave up sugar in my tea/coffee years ago when someone told me a method, ie go ‘cold turkey’ one full week, (you wont enjoy a single cup), then have a cup with a lot of sugar in it, it will taste disgusting. It worked and I cant bear any hot drink sweet now. Just simpler.

Weemam, lovely story re the cardigan … your gorgeous DIL will be just as happy as you I am sure.

Graham thats a great idea re smaller pants, you will be surprised how quickly you fit into them, then have to get smaller ones. 5:2 saves money in many ways, but costs a fortune in clothing replacements!!

I agree with the increasing size of our population, esp the younger ones. Its a worry where it will all end up.
Probably a serious epidemic of diabetes for a start. Food manufacturers and Ad agencies are no better than drug peddlers.

Jojo good to hear your daughter is improving. And I gather your son is moving closer than expected? Lovely. We walked in a local park yesterday and there were almost more dogs than people. Nearly pinched one!

    Cheers all x

    @amazon
Agreed! There are many ways to lose weight , fat in particular has a double edge, lose too much and lose some muscle with it. Lose too little and the social can keep us near a state of plateau. I’m able to both now diet and exercise. I’m thinking if I were back in hospital again and become sedentary. I would need to do the fasting of 5:2. But if I were eating out socially perhaps. The 4:3.

@nama thank you for the articles on fat and muscle loss. Reading many many articles about the same subject gives such an informed perspective. When I started 5:2 I was home after a month stay in hospital. I had been maintaining an all I wanted whatever I wanted diet at 265, but after the car accident and become sedentary I had gained upto 274. But the prompt to do so ething was that I had become a weakling . A weAkling at 274lbs. Cardio was out of the question as In so much pain in my ankle and ball of big foot. Walking was hobbling. However. There’s more than one way to skin a cat! So I started using hand weights in the bed . So I wasn’t on some great time saving super workout for athletes. However I was burning exercise calories anaerobicaly . Like a baseball player that is standing still and then for thirty seconds bursts into action. That was my exercise calorie burning approach. To lift hand weights in the bed or while sitting . Also to start with other therapy movements to keep strengthening the walking muscles.

For a long time they had me in an uncomfortable boot. Was not exercise friendly , I finally broke of on mine own . I went to army surplus and bought airborne combat jump boots. That way even if I had pain , I wasn’t aggravating the injury. I put on a pedometer , and started in with walking and marching ,and corrective alignment therapy movements. As I was accomplishing that over more months I would stop fasting for a week and practice only TDEE , but making sure I was getting enough protein so that my overall muscle health was deficient. When I oould go back on protein restriction , I was not as demanding on the weight lifting. Now I employ the the fasting for the weight reduction, But on the feed days I’m very focused on muscle foods. My personal view opinion. My muscle mass at rest isn’t a great significant amount more than if were just active. Meaning I haven’t bulked up like a bodybuilder. Were my BMR would be significantly increased . Instead I put more attention on the muscle strengthening aspect. Strengthening the muscle groups that help me to walk, jump rope and lift weights(the 7 compound lifts).
In that narrow focus I’m able to constantly achieve the 2000 calorie mark of exercise week in and week out. I couple that with 5000 calories of restriction from my diet on 3 fast days per week.

So when get invited to dine with my friends or family about 3-4 times a month it’s not an overwhelming amount of calories that will negate the fasting. Especially when ordering from the fish menu and I ditch the bread butter.

Additionally I’ve moved to low sugar diet , and further goitered out the highly inflammatory foods too.
My pain level in the ankle and foot is now like I stepped on a sharp metal tac , but more like it was few days ago so more than lvl 1 and less 2 depending on if I’m trying to sprint on it.

Another exercise I was doing while semi sedentary wa to watch tv on stability ball. I still do. During commercials. I do the core exercises incuding stability ball for walkers. The dad approved snack while watching tv is popcorn . For it’s phytonutrients and fiber- an unprocessed whole grain. Were still experimenting with spices that pair well but add a health benefit.

If I didn’t say it before , yes fasting can take muscle mass , but my understanding is it takes 72 hours of fasting. For a sedentary person, but an athlete can get into muscle loss much sooner if they are not careful.
I had to adjust my intake to fit my level of activity. I’m walking more than 30,000 steps a day now at work. So difficult to fast while walking that much. I moved the fasts to the weekends and I take half a personal day on Wednesday’s two times a month for zero calorie fasts, and semi fast mostly on protein on Wednesday’s , only because Wednesday’s are my shortest days at approx 10,000 steps.

I still feel my overall calorie usage is not from my bulk of muscles mass I’ve gained , but from the exercise and diet restriction. My BMR is 2000×7=14,000 per week. I aim for 9000 food calories minus 2000 exercise calories. This link is the reason why that is my approach. CRAN

I feel as though the 274 sedentary life was too risky .
So I’ve adapted to CRAN with fasting ,but also an emphasis on muscle strength.
    My aim is for 174lbs

Long before I HAD to give up sugar.
I went on a popular low carb diet.
I hated the taste of artificial sweeteners at that time. But since I had gone cold turkey zero sweet drinks for a few months. Once I had tried the artificial sweeteners again. They no longer tasted artificial , only tasting the sweet .

Now however I only use stevia to sweeten.

Or say I’ll eat an orange that has a lot of juice in it. But I really have to watch my sugars intake or I ave to control my sugars with medications.

It’s my understanding that most cancers thrive on blood sugars, and is why cancer is so prevail ant in diabetics. Typically when planning menus , I only eat fruits on feed days. However of I don’t crave for the fruit I have t been eating it. And to keep from costly spoilage, I’ve began buying only dried fruits. Especially apricots, cherries, blueberries,.

Is typically what I have for lunch on feed Dried fruits and nuts. Also like the brand “paleo wraps for their coconut/turmeric paper wraps.

With work foods like that and all the walking and sprinting. It’s hard to feel as if I’ve caused myself harm dietetically .

Just back from dropping Wiwi at the airport after a lovely catch up as she commuted through Sydney. As you can imagine, we chatted flat out. πŸ˜‰ Isn’t 5:2 marvellous the way we make friends from all around the world. Great being with a mate who is also only having a long black on a Monday.
    Cheers everyone. P πŸ™‚

    Morning/evening all.

Wet this morning but brightening up, so hopefully I won’t get soaked.

I think Wiwi is trying to meet all the fast trackers. We’ll be hearing next that she’s taken a detour to the USA πŸ˜‰

Back to business today. Off to the gym to burn off at least 500 calories.

    Have a good day/evening everyone.

Wiwi’s becoming the glue that binds us all. Very International. I don’t think the plane route from here across to Abu Dhabi and Heathrow includes a stop off in east coast USA, Amazon. Behave yourself at the gym. πŸ˜‰
Fast over, happy bunny πŸ™‚ P

    Morning all!
No breakfast, green salad lunch and veg curry soup for tea followed by a couple of boiled eggs. Relief to fast after 3 days of eating far too much food. Even eating too much healthy food left me feeling bloated and uncomfortable. Why do we do it?

Lots of exercise planned today which I am looking forward to.

Out to a new social club tonight, really looking forward to it, meet a new crowd. Makes life exciting.

It is so great that some of us are meeting up, it’s wonderful to extend friendship across the oceans. We can finally talk to others that understand what we are doing and why.

Spot on Jojo. How’s your daughter today? Well, I hope. P
