Day 7, NFD, Norway
Well im just checking in real quick on my iphone. I eat too much sweets over the weekend, have got to do something about it. I always look forward to Monday Fasts.
Did my very first Yoga class on friday. This was not for me. I think the instructor was not so good/routined, it seemed abit weird. On Thursday me and two of my girlfriends are trying out Cross Fit. Anyone here doing that?
58days until my USA-trip (NY, Miami and Bahamas) #bikini (or bathing suit-time) so better kick it up a notch.
Im in for th No sugar club during weekdays and I planned to try out the plank challenge. I checked out the youtube planking for beginners 👍
Day 7 – UK – CD
What a gorgeous winter’s day we had today – clear blue skies and sunshine all day but temperatures remained stubbornly around 3 – 4 degrees C.
@penz @flourbaby – come on join us in a daily plank challenge and @leggit and @maayyaa why not start now?
@pamie – the wedding sounded fab – great to hear that they catered so well for your vegan gluten free needs
@diverdog – have a great cruise 🛳
@coda – sad to hear the loss of your feathered friend
@rainbowsmile @steve-toon-taxi-driver @arelkade @joblot44 @bigviking @ardell – well done all of you on a successful first week – This WOL does work!
@daffodil2010 – tell us a bit more about Peruvian food???
@songbirdme – sounds like you had a fab time with your daughter and granddaughters but it will be nice to get back home too I suspect x
@bellyblast – lovely to have you back with us, maintaining is a big win especially when you have health issues to deal with – hope you don’t have to wait too long for your surgery x
@janeandmoses – when I started out with this WOL I used to eat up to 500cals on my FD and the TDEE for my target weight on my NFD – nowadays I sometimes do a low cal fluid only FD, sometimes it’s 1/4 TDEE sometimes it’s 500cals or just over (my TDEE is just over 1500cals) just depending on whether how I feel or if I want to drop some weight before an indulgent planned weekend or a holiday 😉
@mjrbcd44 – hope you feel better soon 🤗
This coming week all my classes restart – so happy – Pilates and Yoga tomorrow 🧘♀️- managed to do a full 2 min of high plank switching over to a minute elbow plank without a rest in between today! that’s a definite motivation to keep going with the daily plank challenge!
Following @lindasue’s post
SW 75 kg BMI 28.4 (January 2014 – recently retired and moved to Cumbria)
Started 5:2 in January 2016 at 68.8kg BMI 26
GW 55 kg BMI 20.8 (reached Dec 2016 and never been above that since!)
Today’s weight 53.2 kg BMI 20.1 💃
5’4.5” 59 1/2 years (those 1/2 are important 😉)
Day 7, Mountaintop PA USA, NFD
Finally got out for a decent walk, the first since December 26, 2017 and at 15° the highest temperature in 10 days since our super frigid North American arctic stretch began. The day started out at -7° so that is a 22 degree improvement for one day. I got to my 10,000 steps with a 2.5 mile walk and an outing to do some errands and preparation for a trip we are embarking on in two days.
@steve toon taxi driver Your Dry January suggestions are hilarious. Dry January seems to be a British (and all of its related countries) tradition. Haven’t embraced the concept, but staying “dry” on FD’s is good for me.
@lindasue – thanks for your kind words. To me, maintenance has allowed for a fluctuation of +/- 3 pounds. So here’s my stats – sorry for the American units, but doing this from memory:
SW – March 15, 2015 – 193#
GW – December 15, 2016 – 160#
Current BMI – 25.1
Age: 69.5 years
Height 5’6.5”
Day 7 – Iceland – FD
Good fast today, made Melissa Clark’s seared broccoli soup for dinner and it was surprisingly tasty (maybe partly because I hadn’t eaten anything since yesterday). Will be fasting again tomorrow to make up for a sloppy week.
@leggit – the sugar struggle is real, yesterday I had 100g of milk chocolate with salted caramel plus some pralines and afterwards I was so disappointed and thought “this isn’t worth it!!”. As they say in Germany, Vorfreude ist die schönste Freude, the anticipation is often much more delightful than the real thing. Will try to keep that in mind in the upcoming sugar-free days. Wish you strength too!
Wow @shinything @mogaman and @annemarilyn – I admire your discipline!
@rainbowsmile – sorry to hear about your loss, wish you all the best for 2018💗
@michelinme – your raw chocolate sounds delicious. As does your food prep, might steal your idea with the frozen, calorie-counted lentil stew 🙂
Well done @steve toon taxi driver @arelkade @joblot44 @bigviking @ardell and others who had a successful first week!
The pocket list for the “No sugar club” now counts seven dedicated members 🙂

Day 8 NZ NFD The grandchildren are staying for a couple of days so getting lots of fun playing games. They are 8 and 9 years. They are very good at amusing themselves which is why I have time to read the posts and check in. Beautiful weather here today with a high of 27deg. I think we may spend the day at the pool tomorrow. Lots of love all.
Day 7, UK, NFD
I was working today, so I got up and started getting ready for work and for my FD, planning what to eat and when …. when I realised its my NFD! 😮 What a confusion lol . My NFD went well , well … having said that … i found myself indulging on nuts after work *sigh* . @flourbaby don’t do what I do 😀
@joblot44, @steve toon, @bigviking you guys are on a roll! Great to hear that, encouraging for the rest of us 🙂
@coda sorry to hear about your hen passing , its always sad 🙁
@awilson its never too late to get back on track.
@rainbowsmile, I’m planing to attempt making a bone broth, its very healthy, but I’ve never made it. I’m not much of a cook basically 😊
Tomorrow is my FD (checking to be sure lol) , kind of looking forward to it.
FD Caloundra Qld Australia
Call me weird, but I prefer the fast days.
I didn’t realise that bread & alcohol formed such a large part of my calorie count. I’m trying to eat up to my TDEE & have realised this week that it’s a LOT of food if you try to keep bread, rice, potatoes, pasta & booze out of the mix.
Day 8, FD, Norway
New day, new week, new possibilities to make this fab! :)I’m remarkably cheerful even though the scales showed 1kg more than on Friday. WHY do i weigh myself Monday mornings! 🙁 Well, to kick my behind back on track. Todays day at the office will contain of a cup of coffee or two (black) and lots of water. Then a low kcal dinner, hopefully way below 500kcals.
I will start the planking challenge tonight, i think i need to put an alarm on my phone for this, cause i had planned to do it before i left for work today, wasnt even on my mind for a second…until i read about it just now 🙂 Oh well, new routines.
Today im joining the “No Sugar Club”, the “FD Club” and the “Planking Club”.
Norway, Day 8, FD
Good morning everyone!
Iad a weekend with a “Christmas tree party”, it is a common thing in Norway, for the kids…so there was alot of no-no food. But I think the rest of the day was pretty contolled, so I’m not too stressed. My plan is on staying healthy during the week and allow myself some treats in the weekends anyway. As this is a WOL and not a diet, it has to be like that for me.
Happy about my third FD of the year today, I hope it will be a good one 🙂
Have great day everyone 🙂
Day 8, UK, NFD
78.3 kg. I toyed with the idea of a B2B, but have decided against it. I’m already doing AFD and now that I am trying to add a bit of excercise (other than dog walking) to the mix, B2Bs will just be too much. Hopefully some mindfull eating and excercise will still keep me in the 70s in time for another FD tomorrow.
Day 8 UK FD
I made a pig of myself again with a bag of chocolate covered goldenberries the veg man gave me. Ate the whole thing plus 4 persimmons so far too much sugar:( I have a dreadful headache as a result and definitely need a fast day today to undo the damage. Yet another thing to add to the don’t allow in the house list. Luckily my language classes start again tonight so I will have a lovely long walk and a long fast too. I meant to do lots of practice writing over Christmas to make sure I knew the Chinese characters thoroughly for when they started again, but of course I didn’t. I hope that I haven’t forgotten it all!
SW ~250 lbs, started Nov 2016
GW 140lbs reached Jan 2018
today 140.6lbs
Hi! Is it too late to join? Just starting my fasting journey today!
Day 1, Finland, FD
Starting my journey at 100 kg! While mainly wanting the health benefits, weight loss is also an incentive for this project. I fail at conventional diets, the idea of restricting what i can eat never lasts long term. I can handle limiting for 2 days a week and if i want something eat it on NFD.
I have joined the forums for motivation and support as needed. How often do we post?
Day 8 NSW Australia NFD 79kg
Hi everyone
Lots of interesting posts – thank you all.
Tracking my food intake has finally proven successful – I need to be accountable or I tend to get lazy then the weight creeps back on of course 😦
I post mainly on the Southern Hemispherites forum – all the forums are very supportive, encouraging & educational – still lots to learn.
Congrats to all those with desired achievements eg weight loss, maintenance or just happy to be cruising along. To all those not feeling well – be kind to yourselves & get better soon.
Enjoy whatever you are doing, & bye for now!
@kerryn73.
Welcome.lots of good support on this forum. I’ve got to say it’s the 2 days fasting that I like about this wol.
I try to pick busy work days as my fasting days. I find the non fasting days are a real challenge. I like the way you can fit it around your own personal circumstances and add other parts of the fasting way of life to the 5/2 diet. I fast between 22.00 and 12.00 between each day and add an extra FD if things go wrong like last week.
Welcome @kerryn73 checking in and posting daily really helps with motivation and accountability. Have a read of our hosts post at the top of page 1 to see how this works.
Day 8, Belfast, NFD
Happy new year to everyone – hope you all had a lovely Christmas break.
Apologies for only joining the January Challenge now…but better late than never.
Back to work today – it’s a jolt to the system so I’ll do my first FD of 2018 tomorrow. Defo need to work off some extra Xmas pounds.
Good luck everyone! and thanks @mjrbcd44 for hosting!
Day 8, Newcastle UK, FD
Going to change strategy for the next couple of weeks ahead of our cruise. ADF during the week instead of my usual B2B Monday/Tuesday.
@bellyblast – welcome back – sorry to hear about your impending operation. Best wishes for a swift recovery when it comes.
@janeandmoses – depends on what works for you. A quarter of your TDEE may not be enough cals to achieve an FD. Dr. M. has recently said up to 800 cals on an FD is fine. I think generally the 500 seems to work for most folks.
@bigviking – read your post out to OH who is increasingly interested in healthy living. Having already had his daily omelette for breakfast, he’s going to try and miss lunch. I suspect dinner will be earlier than usual – but at least he’s now open to this after seeing me live this WOL for nearly a year.
Happy Birthday @onahealthyhigh – best wishes for a lovely day.
@pamie – just a wee bit envious – 27 degrees, day at the pool tomorrow……
Made a low carb crumble yesterday using coconut flower for the crumble. Oh my…….

Day 8, Surrey, FD
Ok, so all of this is still quite new to me. Yesterday was a NFD and I had lunch + tea with some friends. It was lovely but carb/calorie rich with bread, cheese, biscuits, cakes and nuts. I found after eating a modest lunch, instead of feeling satiated, I had …a CRAVING FOR MORE. OH MY GOODNESS! I wonder if I had an insulin spike? It took quite a while to subside and a LOT of willpower not to indulge in more cakes and biscuits. Later in the day, I had a mince pie with a cup of tea, and the same experience with an almost uncontrollable urge to eat more. I say almost…I did have a substantial helping of nuts with my otherwise healthy evening meal. The result? I’m a pound heavier today. This being a FD, I’m sure I will make up for it, and am still on track for my January target. So far, all good with no cravings, thankfully.
This is the first time I’ve experienced anything like this whilst on 5:2, and it was a hard lesson to be more careful around carbs and sweet things in future. I wonder if this is typical of others’ experiences? Good luck to everyone out there on the January challenge.
Day 8 A cold and sunny Belfast FD
Still firmly on the no sugar and booze wagon. There’s something very nice about today. The holidays are well and truly over and the exercise classes start afresh.
I’m starting a pocket list for today’s fast day.

Self-sabotaging like a pro (mackerel & bean salad at 9pm last night ………… I’m pretty sure I closed the kitchen at 7:30, maybe the lock’s busted????)!!!!! I can’t wait to get back to B2B2B-ing at work tomorrow!!!!
The red wine urge was soooo strong last night I could have murdered a shiraz!!!! Then I read @steve toon taxi drivers’ post and could have just murdered HIM!!!!!!
Happy belated B’day @basyjames & @onahealthyhigh
@at, you’ve twisted my arm, I’m in, I’ve printed off a 30day challenge. I’m starting at day 8, I do yoga & pilates, so despite my comments, I’m an experienced planker!!!?? (LOL)
Welcome back @belfastsink …………………. We’re all (obviously) in the same post Xmas indulgence boat, at least it’ll be sitting a bit higher in the water by the end of Jan!!!
I never want to say, “What might I have achieved if I hadn’t given up?”
DAY 3 – Cardiff UK – FD
DAY 4 – Cardiff UK – NFD
DAY 5 – Cardiff UK – NFD
DAY 6 – Cardiff UK – FD
DAY 7 – Cardiff UK – NFD
DAY 8 – Cardiff UK – FD
Been awol for a bit, but today is the day I’d set as my ‘get back into it’ day. Eldest back to uni, youngest to school, so back into a routine.
Will be joining the ‘sugar free’ pocketeers as planning no added sugar (or substitute) until at least the end of the month. I tend to be sugar free with a few minor exceptions throughout the year so it shouldn’t be too bad. Set myself a fairly easy target of 4.9lb by month end, and already dispatched 3lb, so happy at my progress so far.
This month I really need to get my act together. Just had some blood results showing liver function, kidney function, cholesterol and white blood cell count all off. Appointment with GP on Wednesday. I don’t know whether my over indulgence at Christmas is reflected in the results or whether it’s a more long standing problem, but either way I need to do something about it. I know the problem is not alcohol related as although I had a couple of bottles over the past 3 weeks, this is very much an exception and I tend to go months without opening a bottle of anything, then generally only have one glass.
So, have been researching like mad in preparation for my appointment and have realised that my diet is generally pretty good and has resulted in a 4 stone weight loss, but that I don’t tend to drink much water or exercise much. So will be ‘drowning the dragon’ rather than just giving it a gentle shower, and going to try to up my daily steps as I cant face anything like the gym at the moment. Hopefully my GP will agree to retest in 6 weeks to see if things have improved rather than wanting to do too much at the moment.
Off to drink another glass of water and do start emptying my daughter’s bedroom ready to start decorating as her new furniture arrives tomorrow and I won’t be ready for it for a least a couple of weeks.
Day 8 – USA Wisconsin – FD
Successful FD yesterday and 3 pounds down from starting weight. Very happy and going to fast today as well (water, tea, coffee all day, small meal towards evening is my usual fast routine).
Credit to everyone here who has motivated and inspired me. Thank you.
MY TIP: Avoiding sugar this month has resulted in many fewer sugar cravings. To repeat that tip, the way to get rid of those awful sugar cravings is to avoid sugar. It feels so good not to crave sugar. And, it shows up on the scale (in my experience).
Today I’m back to my pre-holiday routine – teaching senior water aerobics and two senior yoga classes. Will ride the bike 5 miles (rolling hills).
Good luck to everyone today, fasters and non-fasters and controlled fasters and liquid fasters and those who are thinking of trying out this wonderful WOL.
Take care, Markie
Day 8 – Peru 🇵🇪 – NFD
We took a domestic flight from Lima to Arequipa at the foothills of the Andes, but it’s 2300 metres here already. It’s only the foothills 😲 It’s the 2nd biggest city in Peru, built by the Spanish conquistadors as a distribution centre for the copper, silver, and gold mines higher up the Andes.
To be honest, the trip in from the airport was not the prettiest, plenty of tin roofed shacks and pot-holes roads. But the historical centre is so different. Beautiful colonial buildings in white stone, a majestic central square which on this Sunday afternoon was full of Peruvian families enjoying the day with the kids.
It’s looking more like the Peru of my imagination now than in Lima. Ladies wearing traditional costumes, pan-pipe music being played in the square. I stand out here, being a fair skinned strawberry blonde-red head I am the unusual one 😆. I also feel tall. I am only 5’2” but most Peruvians are shorter.
The altitude is high enough that already we feel the dry mouth, and DH is more out of breath when climbing stairs (I feel ok, it could be his lingering chest infection too). We have been told to eat lightly from now on as altitude affects digestion. Happy days for me, no problem getting DH to just share a small pizza for dinner. One beer then home.
Have a free day here today so will do some easy sightseeing.
@at Peruvian food – number 1 dish is Ceviche which is raw fish marinated in lemons, served with onions – it has to be tasted to be believed. I am not a great seafood person but oh my, it’s delicious. Potato dishes are huge here- there are “papa huaincaina” which are boiled spuds with this amazing spicy sauce, there are dishes with mashed potato and avocado and chicken served in a stack, I also tried a mashed potato stuffed with mince beef and veg and deep fried 😍….but my favourite so far is Aji de Gallina which is a stand out shredded chicken with a spicy creamy sauce served with rice. Mmmmmmm. As you can imagine the dishes would not be FD staples at all!!!!!
@annemarilyn you will enjoy the food here I am sure, though there are a lot of white carbs involved.
@debster251 your description of being in rainforests was great, unfortunately we don’t have the time here so flying over the Amazon is the closest we get this time.
@flourbaby ha ha, yes indeed, Factor 50 to use in Ireland is a misnomer, but I do use it on my face as I work in a Glasshouse. Staving off the wrinkles as I move into my 50’s
Right it’s off to Plank in Peru 🇵🇪😁
Have a good Monday all.
Day 8 UK FD
Yesterday was the first day this month when I tried to eat without any restriction. I made an effort to feast & thought I’d eaten absolutely tons – seedy bread&butter, cucumber, apple, 2 slices of cake, clementine, rice, peas, quorn chicken in a sauce made with butter, leftover Christmas garlic cheese and paprika, and crackers – but totting up the calories this morning it came to 1675 – still under my TDEE!
Sundays are historically my feast day & I usually pick up chocolate or sweets as a weekly treat, but when I popped into the supermarket I went straight past the chocolate special offers and came out with tissues and cough drops! Came home and ate two slices of my cacao, beetroot and banana cake instead. Clearly I’ve retrained something, and it helps SO much not to have sugary, carby, food in the house but have healthy alternatives ready to meet that spot. No alcohol, no added sugar, no carbs. What on earth am I going to give up for Lent this year?!
Yesterday was such a good day. I could really feel the benefit of both yoga and meditation and found myself in the flow, dealing well with difficult situations. I really didn’t expect to find this as a side effect of the decision to work on weight. Now I need to work on bedtimes!
Looking forward to FD today. I feel more energised and focused and know what I’m going to be eating and when, with some choices about snacks and supper supplements ready to roll. Suddenly I feel as tho i’ve got so much food in the house that i won’t need to shop for ages, and have free time to tackle other things. So strange to realise quite how much of my capacity and budget has gone on food- and drink – stuff.
Loving reading everyone’s stories, thank you for enlivening my lunchtime and sorry I don’t find it easy to do individual replies – have to keep scrolling up and down to remember things. Big welcome to newbies – this is a great decision and a wonderful forum.

Slogan15 UK was supposed to be a FD and beginning on WOL. However on Saturday morning
, I really don’t know how but managed to trip over! But my head no stitches thankfully but a lot of blood so trip to A&E. I feel sick but they said if not being sick you should eat regular meals and plenty of water. I will therefore for this week do controlled eating and as long as dizziness headaches etc go next week, I will. Begin next Monday.
Good luck everyone.
I’ll check in next week.

Day 1 – Washington, DC – FD
Current weight is 199.8lbs / 90.6KG
Goal weight is 165lbs / 74.8KG
Hello everyone! I am also just getting started and am in the middle of my first FD. I’m using Fast Habit app to track my fast days. I wiould love to join those of you going dry for January but I think I’ll try to be realistic and start with a commitment to cut back from mid-week drinks
This forum is amazing. I love seeing all of the posts from around the world.
Day 8, Rocky Mountains, US, FD
Hi all,
I am back and hello to my old fellow faster friends and to all the new friends who joined since I left at the end of October to go to Austria and Italy visiting family and friends and then being on vacation for three weeks with my husband and furry baby in Southern Utah.
I joined this wonderful group last February and got to maintenance in late summer but these last 9 weeks put some weight back on as I slipped into my old habits. During traveling there are too many temptations for me….therefore I am ready and happy to restart 5:2.
Also, I am joining the Dry January folks.
Happy fasting everyone and I am looking forward to reconnecting with my old friends and getting to know new ones.
Thanks very much for hosting our January challenge @mjrbcd44.
Have a great Monday everyone! 😊😊😊
Day 8 Akron OH NFD
Thank you my wonderful friends for all your birthday wishes. I rarely post on weekends so this is my first time since my last post. I turned 43 this year, and I have been in maintenance since the end of last summer. I was telling DH that this is the first year since we had kids that I did not start the year overweight, bloated, miserable and looking for a change. I credit all that to 5:2. Even though I overindulged over the holidays; it was more mindfully than I ever have. I was aware of what I was putting in my body and aware of what my plan would be after the holidays. I stepped on the scales this morning and I have lost the 4 pounds I gained over the holidays, I feel really, really, good and thankful. B2B FD unlock my energy stores like no other, I have also noticed a positive difference in the quality of my sleep, I fall asleep quickly, sleep deeper, and wake up earlier but more rested.
I truly love this WOL, it’s adaptable, it works and the best part is having access to this forum where we all support each other.
It’s a new day and I appreciate and celebrate you all. My best to all those fasting, planking, controlling, sugar and alcohol resisting, dragon-drowning etc etc keep on doing whatever you are doing to take control of your personal journey. As always, fasting may not win every battle; but it is steadily winning the war!
Day 8- Colorado USA – NFD
Typically Monday would be a FD, but am finding FDs easier to do at work. So may change up & make FD Tues/ Thurs.
At any rate, I’ve set an alarm on my phone for 11:00. I am NOT to eat anything before it goes off. This ensures at the very least I do a 17:7 (seven hour eating window between 11:00 – 18:00 for lunch & dinner.)
@emma Taylor wrote about mini-changes leading to big results. Couldn’t agree more!
I’ve been urging myself to get back to exercising for months (my surgeries & recovery time have made me such a slacker!) it seemed like such a huge intimidating directive that it was tough to begin. So instead, several weeks ago, I promised myself to start out small. When I get up each morning, I’ve been doing tiny circuits of stretches & calisthenics in the kitchen while waiting on my (plain, black) coffee.
Slowly I’ve grown to enjoy the daily limbering up. It’s ever-so-gradually morphing into a routine of walking, running, & weight lifting. If I don’t have time or energy for the bigger workouts, at least I chalk up a WIN for accomplishing my morning moves!
And even though I am not a chap, as @bigviking points out, maintaining & building muscle not only adds strength for activities of daily living, but also revs up your metabolism & tightens up the wobbly bits. All of which I’d like in 2018!
Day 8 USA (UT to IL) NFD
Traveling today, so posting briefly.

@redrockgirl302 – welcome back! Always great to see you pop in! Glad you had good travels and holidays.
Onward and downward!
@mari84 – I’m with you on allowing some treats, this has to be a livable WOL & not a miserable diet or it won’t work!
I make Friday & Saturday my “relax a bit” days. OH & I have Friday off work, so we plan outings like matinee movie (buttered popcorn!) or bowling (chicken wings!) Then Saturday has Date Night. The other 5 days of the week are under control.m
Day 8 – USA – NFD
@happymargo, your post was very motivating! I too have been dreading getting back into exercise, but starting small is key. @onahealthyhigh, enjoy your birthday! @strawberriesandcream, do you have a recipe for the low-carb crumble? @slogan15, feel better and welcome! @redrockgirl302, welcome back. I also joined in February 2017.
(3rd post)
@markie99 – couldn’t agree more with your assessment on sugar!
Once I cut out sugar & wheat/ gluten, eating just moderate carbs my crazy cravings FINALLY hit the road! Such blessed relief!!!
Markie99’s TIP: “Avoiding sugar this month has resulted in many fewer sugar cravings. To repeat that tip, the way to get rid of those awful sugar cravings is to avoid sugar. It feels so good not to crave sugar. And, it shows up on the scale (in my experience).”
Stay strong, January Sugar Slayers! It really does make the journey easier.
@basyjames – just read your post, so glad you took the time (on your birthday weekend!) to chime in. I feel like we just got a rousing pep-talk from our couch before the big game. Could feel the energy in your words. Thank you for the boost!!
Day 8 – SW WA USA – FD

Day 8 Canada NFD
Love being back and fasting at least 16:8. Making the best food choices is my goal.
@debster251 thanks for the quote! I’m off to explore the new day
Day 8 Wales FD
I’m back on the sugar free track. Since July I’ve barely touched sugary foods but over December I allowed a few festive ‘treats’ (Belgium biscuits, chocolates, beer) and experienced the old sugar highs and lows and cravings again. This past week since I’m back on the Mediterranean Diet I’m feeling so much better. Count me in as a permanent sugar slayer!
Today my FD is going well, Monday and Thursday FDs just feel natural to me now and I actually enjoy them. I also allow myself to relax a little on Friday and Saturdays @happymargo – those are my red wine nights, the other 3 days I eat very mindfully but I only count calories on my FDs.

GW unsure, but taking guidance from the stats posted by @at as I am 59 next month and I am 5ft 5″ so similar age and height. I definitely see the potential for more weight loss on my hips and thighs. For now I’m just going to continue aiming for weight loss till I feel I’ve arrived at goal…..I just don’t feel I’m there yet.
Happy Monday all x
