  • Day 7 – NFD – Mornington Peninsula Australia

Quick check in this morning. Busy day ahead picking up some new chickens but first I have to give the coop a good clean out and divide it so that the old girls do not give the little ones a hard time.

Cannot believe the first week of the year is almost over!

    Have a good one.

Just have to ask as I am forming all sorts of funny mental pictures, Rainbowsmile, what is a zombie walk??

And thanks for the reminders about planks. I really should drop to the floor and try one! I’m in the camp where 30 seconds will be a struggle… But only get better if I start!

Thanks @at , I will join 😀 . Even though I don’t consider myself unfit, I will start with beginner’s one, as with every new exercise you “find” never used muscles before, so yes, I think 30 seconds might be a struggle for me too @penz.

Day 7 NZ NFD @strawberriesandcream thanks for your support. I had a wonderful day. The bride was quite late due to the vintage car breaking down, but the caterers just kept the nibbles and the drinks coming. I felt really special. I was provided with yummy vegan gluten free nibbles and the dinner was equally great. There were a few vegans present and we were given an eggplant and sweet potato dish (like a roulade) with spices it was truly delicious with salads of balsamic roast baby potatoes, green garden salad, pumpkin, quinoa and roasted cauliflower salad and asian greens all of which were also gluten free. I just had lovely fresh fruit for dessert, grapes, cherries melon. Drank more wine than I normally would due to the waiting around but didn’t get too tipsy. All in all a wonderful day. Having a quiet day at home as I’m not used to late nights anymore and am quite tired.Might have to have a nana nap this afternoon.

Day 6 – SW WA USA – NFD
    Epiphany or Three Kings Day

Last day of Christmas decorations. I still like the twinkle of the lights on the Christmas tree especially on an overcast Saturday. I’ll be ready to trade in the clouds for some sun and warmth in February also in Peru. @Dafodil2010 – loving your commentary. I’ll have to be sure to pack sunscreen as well.

Definitely part of the “No Sugar” group. I haven’t had sugar since January 1.

@califdreamer – 68 and at your goal, you’re an inspiration. I’m 67. Would love to be at goal by 68 or at least a long way toward it.

@saffy420 – yay, at least you were under 200 this morning. I was at 200.2 lbs this morning; lowest this month so far. In December I was below 200 at least 1/2 the days. We’ll keep at it & will be trending lower before you know it.

@toddybear – you are doing great so far in Fuerteventure. Good for you!

@markie99 – you asked about tips regarding Costa Rica. It really depends on how you’re traveling. Are you with a group or on your own? I traveled with my cousin but each of us had some contacts in Nicaragua and Costa Rica. We found folks friendly in both countries. Costa Rica has more infrastructure. It seemed like the Switzerland of Central America. There is a fair bit of unrest and crime in much of Central America but most of Costa Rica is more stable and peaceful. Partly it will depend on which part you’re in. There are areas where drug issues tend toward more crime; along parts of the Atlantic side especially we were told. We spent most of our time in Guanacaste in Playa del Coco; in the northwest of the country along the Pacific Ocean. It was lovely, peaceful, with a gorgeous beach and close to river adventures, zip-lining and more. I speak Spanish & loved taking the Tica bus from Nicaragua to Costa Rica as well as from Guanacaste to San Jose; friendly people & a reasonable price. I loved the fresh coconut drinks out of an actual coconut with a straw in it as well as fresh fruit drinks at the restaurants. Oh, one more thing – we were told to wear mosquito spray from dawn to dusk which was good advice.

    Enjoy the weekend everyone!

    Day 6, Germany, NFD
Late post, actually already day 7…
Was out with the girls at an Italian restaurant and yeah! I was the only one, not drinking anything alcoholic – and NOBODY made a comment on that! I didn’t have to explain myself or anything! I was so surprised how easy this was! 😁
@strawberriesandcream @emma-taylor I agree, not drinking alcohol can really make you happy!
Day 7, NFD and oh no! On Monday I have to go back to work… 🙈🙈🙈
The good thing about it is that I can get back to my fasting routine 🎉💪🍶👍

Hello all – day 6 NI – nfd and as it already now day 7 it will also be a nfd. 🤧 started sneezing and nose like a tap yuk! Just as i thought i had escaped. Two of my work colleagues have both had awful colds and I was congratulating myself on avoiding it. I hate colds 🤧!

Also lost another hen? The remaining 2 seem fine so I don’t know if it’s just bad luck or what? Belle had been a bit slow on it a few weeks before Christmas and with Pea dying we took her to the vet. He checked her over and she seemed fine apart from appearing sore in one leg. He gave us some pain relief and said to confine her to the run for a few days. Although she was a bit slower than the others she seemed to be walking a bit better and was out pecking about. It was a bit of a shock to find her. Fingers crossed for the others. Our venture into chickens again isn’t too good at the moment 😦

    Day 7 NSW Australia FD
    Hi everyone
Just checking in again – down to 79.4kg this morning so, 1.2 gone – here’s hoping the downward trend continues. Sure feels good!
Hope all those that are unwell feel better; and everyone has a lovely Sunday.
    Bye for now!

    Perth, Western Australia – CD

    Day 7 UK NFD

Day 7 Newcastle UK NFD 🇬🇧.
5lb off in the first week, a lot of that will be fluid I would think but a big incentive to keep at it. Half day at work today which is awful because I don’t work Sundays but needs must. Hope everybody’s had a little bit of success on this first week back after holidays. enjoy the rest of your weekend.

    Day 7 Preston UK

Good morning world 🌈🌏 and what a good morning it is. I’ve only gone and lost a whole 9lbs in my first week. 😳 I got on the scales 3 times this morning just to make sure they weren’t lying. To say I’m thrilled is an understatement. I only wanted to lose 28lbs in total so to have lost 9 in my first week feels amazing. My FDs were Sunday, Wednesday and yesterday, I’ve eaten sensibly on NFDs and Ive also done some running too. But 9lbs was a massive shock to me. Wouldn’t like that amount every week but I’ll certainly take it in my first week. So glad I’ve decided on this WOL and more importantly I’m so glad I decided to join this challenge because reading all your posts and about your individual journeys truly inspires me.
Enjoy your Sunday everyone and here’s to another good week. 🤞🏻👍😀

Wow wow wow joblott44 that’s amazing

    Fantastic Steve toon well done

    Well done Arelkade brilliant

    Day 7, UK, FD
79.7 kg. Yes! Below 80 kg following a NFD. First time since before Xmas. Hopefully the only view I’ll ever get of the 80s again is in the rear view mirror as I hurtle deeper into the 70s.

I may attempt the first B2B of the year today & tomorrow to lock this in.

    Day 7 Wales NFD

Some amazing weight losses – big congratulations, amazing first week of 2018 folks!!

    Day 7, Newcastle UK, NFD

Another good NFD under my belt. About 100 cals over TDEE but I had wriggle room from the previous two. I went for that second 30g helping of salted nuts – but it was worth it. My Saturday afternoon treat – along with beer – only this beer is AF. Win win all round.

Lovely to read all the great results after just the first week of this new year – congratulations @rainbowsmile, @steve Toon Taxi Driver, @arelkade, @joblot44, @big Viking.

@janeandmoses – we have been advised for the past 30 years to have a low/0% fat diet. However, we do need a certain amount of good fat to lubricate our digestive system. Since building a small amount of daily fat back into my diet I’ve noticed a change for the better.
@miraclelou – Yay, yay and thrice yay!!!!!
@saffy420 – oh, that’s exciting. Looking forward to hearing about your property search.
@toddybear – you’re doing so well – bet that feels so good!
@penz – never too late to jump on the Dry Januarians’ Wagon.
@mogaman & @steffieagle – two more inspirational maintainers – thanks for sharing how you manage it week by week.
@pamie – good to hear you had a good time at the wedding. I bet the non vegans were eyeing up the food prepared for you – it sounds delicious. I am making a real effort to explore more vegetarian food this year and really enjoying the soups and curries I’ve made so far. In fact, it’s just occurred to me, I haven’t eaten meat since NYE – without even thinking about it.
@coda – I was sorry to hear about your pussy cat and hen and now another hen. They are all individual characters/family members and a huge miss when they’re gone.
@rainbowsmile – so good to hear you in good spirits – definitely onwards and upwards (and downwards on the scales) for you this year. There are a couple of books recently discussed. One on the ways to clear out one’s house (@FlourBaby – I think you are ordering this one and can help with the name??) and the other to understand the poisonous affects of alcohol on our bodies. The latter is called ‘Alcohol Explained’ by William Porter. The first 5 pages can be read on his website http://www.alcoholexplained.com. Even if one has no ‘problems’ with alcohol – it is a fascinating read – the first of its type I’ve ever come across. Plain clear facts about how and why addiction happens and how alcohol is a massive contributor to sleep deprivation.

“Either you run the day, or the day runs you” – Jim Rohn

    Day 7 – Japan – FD 81.8kg ? Reading last night. #1 in 2018

I just got back from a trip and it was cold with lots of snow. This is my first FD this year as I’ve decided not to fast early in my trips and I have too many trips lately. However for some reason I always weigh lighter on the road. I’m beginning to think my scale is off.

Anyway my goals are 90 Fast days this year. (0 calorie) and getting my typical weight down to below 80kg.

I’m pretty busy and not following the forum much right now. However I have to say WOW! to BigViking.

    Day 7 – Peru 🇵🇪 – NFD

Leaving Lima today and flying south to Arequipa and the Andes. This is where the adventure really begins.

Had dinner with a nice Peruvian red by the Pacific shore last night. Good food choices except for the trio of desserts 😬.

DH started taking ibuprofen and finally the bad cold has broken. I was concerned as we are heading into high altitudes with possibility of altitude sickness, so hopefully he will be fine.

    Still planking…. much to DH’s amusement 👍

Day 7, London, UK, NFD (CD)

Good grief @linda Sue & @debster251, you guys are putting me to shame, I really must do at least one plank challenge with you guys!!! Let’s be realistic…….. maybe just one plank!!!!

@diverdog, I’m absolutely shocked and stunned to hear you’re NOT planning a FD during your week long Caribbean cruise!!!!! Have a fab time & if you were wondering, it’s 2 degrees and raining here!!!! Sooooo jealous!!!

@shiny thing, I read your post at the perfect time last night, I was just heading back for a handful of cashews despite telling myself to STEP ……… AWAY ………… FROM …………….. THE ……………… NUTS!!!!!

@daffodil2010, I had a chuckle at your post …………. “I don’t think I can get higher than factor 50 in Ireland !!” …………I was thinking, yeah but not for actually using IN Ireland!!!!!!!!!!!

@coda, I’m sorry you’ve lost Belle, especially so soon after Chickpea, do you think it’s something contagious?

@steve toon taxi driver….. you give me hope!!! Shame about the Sunday working, but well done on the 5lb eradication!!

@joblott44 – what a fantastic result for week 1, 9lbs gone without any pain, suffering or deprivation………… shocking isn’t it??

@strawberriesandcream & @rainbowsmile, the book suggested by @miraclelou , is The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying: A simple, effective way to banish clutter forever, by Marie Kondo. I’m still reading, but itching to get started ASAP.

To all those suffering from one nasty lurgy or another, might I suggest bone broth? It may not be a miracle cure but at the first nose tingle I get, I go straight for the broth stockpiled in the freezer and for me, it works!!!!!

    Onward & Downward ………………hopefully!!!

3.5 lbs off this week, which is not bad since I’ve spent the entire week lounging about, back to work tomorrow so that will bring some structure back to my week.

Day 7- Colorado USA – NFD

Had a great FD yesterday…on a Saturday! 😳. Unusual for me to do FD on weekend, but it was easy. I was SO sick. Crushing headache & nausea = zero appetite. Easy to just skip food entirely. Just sipped beverages all day as my stomach tolerated.

Feeling surprisingly MUCH better today! Yay!
Found I have 5 pages of reading to catch up on here. So I’m lacing up my trainers & hopping on my treadmill. But since I’m still recovering, I’ll take it easy. No steep incline or fast pace. Just a soft stroll while reading all your motivating messages!

Before getting sick, I was on a happy mental high. My first week weigh-in Friday showed success! Very exciting to be moving down the scale in the right direction. And it seemed simple: Stuck to 5:2, avoided sugars of all kinds (go Sugar-Slayers! 🐉), stayed true to the Dry Winos & did my bit of exercise. Poof! Some pounds are gone! Sweet! Looking forward to posting final results at month’s end.

Everyone, stay healthy out there & keep at it. This WOL works!

    Day 7…….Florida…..NFD hopefully FD

This coldness is driving me crazy……Seriously thinking about going to Peru. it sounds so beautiful and warm!

Yesterday’s FD was a good one, I made it almost 20 hours on liquid only, so it made only a four hour eating.

I really want it to be a FD but I never really count on them on the weekends. Today will be a bit hard since I did get a majority of my work around the house done, so I will not have much to keep my mind off the fridge and pantry.

It seems like, we have a few more newbies this week…..Welcome to you all! This group provide such spectacular support not only for your new WOL but every aspect of your life. I know with out them, I would have never made it to where I am now.

@dykask……Glad to hear you fairing well….. 90 days of fasting are going to be easy for you! You’ve got the power and knowledge to knock them out of the park!

@mirclelou and @ flourbaby…..I use the flylady system but I do use the mondo methods for folding anything I put in drawers. What I like about Flylady more than the Kondo method is flylady keeps me on track with my daily tasks.
I spent the two months decluttering my home and it actually has made a huge difference not only in my home but my overall life. I now get everything done on my days off and my anxiety is down because I am at peace with my home.

Okay, well my garden needs some love this morning, so I’m off

I’m going outside to stand, so if anyone asks just tell them I’m OUTSTANDING!

    Day7 CHESHIRE UK NFD

Yesterday was ok, lunch was a sandwich then for dinner I made the fish curry with a prawn salad thing for a starter. No snacks and the whole day came in around 1500 cals. Apparently no alcohol beer tastes awful and just tonic water tastes like…….tonic water! Still we did stick to the dry January challenge. Today will be harder as we always have a “proper”Sunday dinner including red 🍷. But there’s no wine in the house so we’ll have to stick to water or Diet Coke.

Congratulations on the weight loss everyone, @joblott44 – 9lbs in a week is stunning. @annemarilyn, yes we’re bouncing around each other again😀. We’ll get there together in the end.

A friend’s daughter is getting married in May and I’ve been invited to the hen weekend in Spain in April so that’s my next goal, try to lose at least 20 lbs by then. I’m going to be with 15 ladies, most of them in their 30s with me and the bride’s mum being the more “mature” faction. I refuse to be the fat friend on holiday again.

Happy Sunday everyone. Remember, if you’re reading this you’ve found the best and most supportive forum on-line.

    Day 7, Guildford UK, CFD

    Onwards and upwards

    22 minutes to Zombie run…….

Did the new bodypump today, it’s a toughie

Some tremendous first week results, gobsmakin’ @joblott44

Thank you @strawberriesandcream and @flourbaby for the info on the books. Essential reads on both.

I love bone broth and I make it all the time, I knaw on chicken bones too.

Onwards warriors 17 mins, toilet calls before I am off into the land of the undead.

    Mari

    Day 7 – 🇬🇧- FD

Fasting & Exercise going v well however couldn’t resist 🍷last night!!! It was lovely to share a bottle of wine with dear husband & have some quality time after a manic Christmas & New Year. Trying not to feel guilty so will squeeze another FD today to compensate.

Good luck to everyone still on course to successfully complete dry jan!!!

    Day 7, NFD

Thanks RainbowSmile – my mental pictures turned out to be an accurate representation of your zombie run. Hope you have fun!

Great losses posted this week by some of you, and wishing a speedy recovery to those suffering from various lurgies. Extreme temperatures across both hemispheres at the moment.

And yes, Strawberriesandcream, it’s not too late to jump on the Januarians… However, I already have too many events planned for this month that I am planning on fully enjoying with alcohol! Next month.

    Day 7 – Massachusetts – nfd

Good day all! Another cold one today. Feeling sick from over indulging at a belated holiday party last night – I hate it when I do that. 🙁 thinking I may have to change how strict I am about sugar to extend to weekends too. Oh well, moving on. Another day is before us, another chance to get it right.

You plankers are too funny! I admire your commitment. Maybe I will join you in February. And I am so envious of all of you taking vacations right now – wish I could get away from the cold! Have good ones, and let us know all the details!

Remember: if you’re going through hell, keep going!

Day 7, USA, Missouri Ozarks, CD

Hello all – feeling great. Eating clean makes me feel so energized!

Church is cancelled today due to freezing rain so I will just cozy up with the hubby by the fire – in between planks ( ha ha )…

    SW 150.2 CW 149.2 GW 145

    Day 7, Gozo, Malta, nfd

ShinyThing thanks for your wishes. I wish everyone in this forum who is in anyway sick 😷 to get better and healthy as soon as possible.

Today my brother come to help me take off the Christmas decorations from outside and the big Christmas tree we have. The decorations will be stored in the upstairs room near the roof for next year. The house will be its normal self again.

I made a two course meal today. An orange and carrot soup and baked tarragon chicken legs with red peppers and potatoes.

Tomorrow will be a fast day for me the first of B2B2B. I also wish to go for walks once I’m well again.

    Have a great Sunday everyone.

Joblots – 9 pounds! Amazing, congrats. Your loss is amazing as well, Steve.
Lots of great losses reported – we are off to a great start. Congrats to all.

coda – so sad about you losing your hen. I am certain that it was a shock.

Day 7 USA (UT visiting) NFD

“The Greatest Showman” is marvelous! LOVED all the music, great story, excellent messages. Despite eating too much buttered popcorn at the movie, I still managed under TDEE yesterday. Won’t weigh again until I get home tomorrow night, back to frozen Illinois. This has been a long time in UT, but it’s been so fun to be with daughter and granddaughters for the holidays.

I think it is pheasant dinner at DD’s boyfriend’s house today. Not sure, but first church this morning.

There are several of us here who are considered “senior citizens” – I’m 69, 5’6″ and holding my own maintenance goal of 160#. Still happy at that.

    Onward and downward.

SongBirdMe, sounds like you have had a wonderful time on your holiday trip to Utah.

Although I haven’t seen the movie, I have heard glowing reviews. Glad you enjoyed it as well.

And a big Congrats on your maintenance. The minute I stray from the straight and narrow line for a week or so, I gain five pounds! If I stay with the fasting a couple days a week and avoid the snacks/sugar, etc. – maintenance is normal and easy and I feel great. Luckily, it usually comes off rather easily when I get back on track. I try to never stray too far from “normal weight” or I might never find my way back.

    Save travels home.

    Day 7 UK CD

CD are helpful while I continue to get my head round calories, portion sizes and the trial and error of which foods work well for me.

I exhausted myself yesterday making food for the future but now can relax and reap the fruit of my labours 🙂 I baked some gf seedy oat&yogurt bread – really getting into this weekly bake-a-loaf thing, and SO much cheaper and tastier than shop-bought GF stuff. Also a beetroot, banana & cacao cake – mostly to use up my excess Christmas veg but also good to have a healthy treat in the house. It’s GF, low carb, no added sugar and 115 calories/slice – and surprisingly yummy. Plus two big pots of veg & red lentil stew – a whopping 3.2kg – with two different spice combinations. They’re now calorie-counted and frozen in 400g portions ready to be the basis of my FD suppers for January. The plan is when I hit the busy patches they are there to fall back on so I’m less likely to fall off the 5:2 waggon.

Really plased to begin today with adapted yoga and meditation. I’m beginning to feel the difference that a good stretch and strenghten makes, and to feel more grounded, awakening the capacity to observe and respond gently and generously rather than react to things. So strange to experience the way that diving inwards helps so much with living outward. I’ve come home earlier than usual to give myself some thinking and planning time, and it feels like such a luxury. Who knew that taking the decision to work on weight would ripple out more widely? How lucky are we!

Brilliant to read of successful FD, dry days, sugar-free days and planking; wonderful to read of weight lost and energy gained. Good luck to everyone returning to work tomorrow – this is the week when the new year seems to get old very fast

    Day 7 NFD London UK.
In the interests of those who, like me, struggle with exercise, Mini Habits, Smaller Habits- Bigger Results is worth reading. You basically set yourself a target which you can’t fail at – might just be putting on your trainers, instead of doing 10 planks. Once the trainers are on, you can just take them off, or try ONE plank. Either way, you’ll succeed. Mentally, it gets you over the hump of
‘ oh god, I can’t face doing my planks’. And because you manage a tiny target, you never feel like a failure. Yay!!!
    Have a good day all.

Day 7 McMinnville Oregon USA – NFD
    Day 6 – NFD
I fell off the wagon yesterday. I attended a memorial for a friends son and I found a glass of wine in my hand ….which of course was followed by another, it was a very emotional memorial but still no excuse. I woke up this morning with a fuzzy head and wondered why did I do this to myself???? I’ve let my dry Januarians down. 😢 Today I’m dusting myself off and getting back on the wagon.

@steve toon taxi driver – Wow 5 lbs in one week, well done!!
    @bigviking – Good luck with your B2B
@daffodil2010 – Good job planking while on vacation!!

    Day 7 Canada NFD

I dropped out of the December issue to deal with a kidney issue. It won’t be fixed for another couple of months as I’m waiting on surgery. I don’t feel up to full FDsbut would like to join the forum again, routine has gone out the window.

I’ve kept all the weight off, mostly because of low appetite. Today will be 16:8, haven’t done that in a while.

When I work out what I can have in a fast day it’s 381. Do you all stick to a quarter of your tdee or do you stick with the 500 please?

    2nd post.
Good article in the Weekend section of yesterday’s The Times for us chaps who are getting on a bit. All about foods to eat to and excercise regime required to boost the hormones needed to stop muscles wasting away as we age. Luckily my oldest left some manuals laying around when he went back to Uni, so I have added these little weight excercises to my regime.

Interestingly, 2 FDs a week was recommended as a Must in the article. 5:2 is gaining ground!

    Day 7 USA Wisconsin FD

    Hello everyone,
Busy day today but didn’t want to miss checking in. Plan today is for a successful FD along with walking (indoor track, temp is 9 degrees F here). Scale really wants to go down a pound but I’ll take the 0.8 it’s giving me.

@annemarilyn thank you so much for the information about Costa Rica. Our experience will be different because we are part of a tour but I appreciated and can extrapolate everything you mentioned in some way. I’m brushing up on my Spanish and packing mosquito spray for sure! Thank you again for taking the time to give me some tips – they have added to our pleasant anticipation of our trip!!

Good luck to everyone today. Take care, Markie

    Day 6 – USA – NFD

    Day 7 – USA – NFD

    Whoops, wrong date!

Dry January you could try these.

    Day 8/NFD/Dry Januarian (😂 @stevetoontaxidriver)/ Melbourne Australia

Congratulations on a successful first week. Some stunning results. Officially reached retirement age today. Celebrating with a trip to the zoo with eldest grandchild and no wine – dry or other!

DH’s birthday and bought him an electric smoker. We used it yesterday to make a smoked chicken. I ate a small amount of the breast with no skin and it was delicious. My digestive
tract is still feeling pretty marginal and I am leary to eat anything that will set off the g.b. (Day 4 of the cleanse).

    @joblott,@stevetoontaxi, @arkelade,@janeandmoses –great progress!!

@bellyblast and @dykask great to hear from you both! And welcome back @bellyblast.

@Awilson–right back on the wagon and push the reset. So sorry for your friend’s loss and the sadness surrounding.❤️

@janeandmoses–you will lose weight faster with TDEE that is based off goal weight and FD calories based on the same–however for me I am more interested in long-term and successful ability to stick to this WOL so it’s 500 calories for me and if it squeaks to 550 or so I am still happy with that!

@bigviking welcome back to the 70’s and good luck on the BZB.💪

@daffodil2010-“planking in Peru”-it’s the only way to travel! 👍

@michelinme I love all your food prep and planning. It reminds me of a good quote. “Don’t call it a dream. Call it a plan.” We can’t dream about being thinner, we have to plan a way to get there. 🏆

@songbirdme–safe travels. Have heard great things about The Greatest Showman–can’t wait to see it.

Am disappointed that I am starting off the year not feeling so great as I really want to start exercising consistently again. Only 18 months ago I ran a half marathon and now just a puddle of “wobbly bits” as our British friends might say. Hoping to explore yoga this week slowly anyway.

Day 8 – FD – Mornington Peninsula AU

    Day 7 Belfast NFD no🍷no🎂

My weight has remained static this week. I hate counting calories, but portion control and calorie counting are now firmly back on the menu.

    @diverdog have a great cruise
@saffy420 a big step in your life. Happy hunting!
@rainbowsmile – Mari, so good to see you back with attitude. You’re a winner!
@pamie – I’m salivating at the thought of your wedding dish!
    ✋ high five @miraclelou
@steve Toon and Big Viking -well done you two!
    @arelkade, @joblot44 – a fantastic achievement. What a motivation!
@janeandmoses – I downloaded the app you recommended. Sorry I meant to thank you but this forum tends to get away from you. I usually use My Fitness Pal but I thought maybe a change would shake up my motivation! Thanks. BTW I stick to 500 cals for a FD, although 1/4 of my TDEE runs to about 460.
@dykask – your year is organised with your usual meticulous planning!
    Great advice @emma Taylor.
No, @awilson, no letting down at all. Just reset! Hope you found comfort.
Welcome back @bellyblast. Hope you get your surgery soon
@bigviking – sorry I missed the article. Anything out of the ordinary?
    @SteveToonTaxiDriver 😜

Following your good example @lindasue and @onahealthyhigh
    SW: 174.5
    CW :151.5
    GW: 140
    Current BMI 24.1
    Height: 5’6” 63 years old

I’ve been busy cooking for the freezer. Tried making watercress soup for the first time. Delicious! Each carton of soup is calorie counted and labelled, ready just to life, defrost and heat.

Day 7 – SW WA USA – NFD

So grey today! Keeping on the lookout for a sun break!

@lindasue – not sure I Understand the initials at the end of your post but then I saw @onahealthyhigh and; maybe I’ve figured them out – SW – starting weight, CW – current weight, GW – goal weight, HW – Happy weight? Let me know if I’m off.

@onahealthyhigh – Happy Birthday! Hope it’s very special!

@bellyblast – sorry to hear of your kidney issues but glad you’re back with us. Hopefully this WOE helps rather than exacerbates it.
