Hello and welcome @trueseattle! Are you in Seattle?

There are a bunch of us from the PNW (Washington and Oregon) here in the challenge, including me.

I’ve added you to the spreadsheet. 😊

And just in case anyone else needs it–here is the link for you to edit in details or keep track of your progress. If you have any questions–just ask. We have an international group who is always happy to answer.

Hi everyone. I am new on this post but was on a different post last year and dropped 23 lbs doing 5:2 w 4:3. Well unfortunately I stopped and gained it all back so needless to say I’m back and just doing 4:3 and I’m starting this wkd. My goal is to keep it off this x as I know how to lose it. I’m not doing a dry January but seriously cutting back, and I also need to get back to my workouts as I used to work out all the x.

Look forward to reading any new posts. Just got out of the hot tub here just south of Toronto, and its a freezing -17. Cheers

    Day 6,South Wales, NFD

Wow are you doing extended fast? I’ve been reading fr fung and he recommends 7 – 14 days (for some) and said his patients didn’t suffer hunger after the first day – is that what you’re doing? I was thinking of trying 3 days. Let me know how you’re doing I’d love to hear from someone actually doing this

    Day 6 UK NFD

Well the antibiotic hasn’t noticeably upset my stomach (yet) and my face feels a bit better already. I read up on it and apparently Metronidazole is very well absorbed so it may not get to where the bacteria are anyway, when it acts on the gut itself it is through being present in the cells of the gut wall rather than by travelling that far. It is actually a drug I have often used to treat gut upset in the rabbits so I am doubly interested in how it works.

Speaking of rabbits, we had a new one arrive yesterday and have two or three more coming today as well as a new piggy. I knew the empty hutches wouldn’t stay that way for long.

I ate rather a lot yesterday because of needing something in my stomach when taking the meds. I had lunch which unleashed the dragon. I have come up with a cereal substitute – flaked almonds with desiccated coconut, this time with kefir on top, a treat I bought for my poor gut flora. It would have been better to have just had one bowl, but I don’t need to lose anymore weight, so it doesn’t matter. I am a bit back above ten stone this morning but that is ok. There are always bounces.

Day 6 Newcastle UK FD 🇬🇧.
3rd FD on account my NFD wasn’t very good. Must be more focused on NFD.

    Day 6, Wales, UK, NFD

Well well well. Look at me! Up before 11 on a weekend! I was up before the sunrise today. I can’t believe it!

I decided not to imbibe last night, so I am still dry in January. 🙂

It hasn’t quite been a week, but if I had to reflect on my experience so far, the results have already been profound. I don’t feel hunger. Even on NFDs. It is the strangest thing! I think it is because I am also trying to stay away from sugar and refined carbs even on NFDs. I like how I feel!

Back in the lab today for my final monster protocol for this batch of samples. Will be a tough day, but I keep thinking that when I come home tonight it will be behind me and a huge weight will be off my shoulders.

Have a great day all! 🙂

Day 6, Scotland (where it’s stopped raining at last, hooray)
What an interesting, diverse, international bunch of people on this forum. Thanks for all the daily inspiration you regular posters put out there. I completed my first back to back fast days and it was fine, I wasn’t extra hungry on the second day as I’d expected. I’m now back down to 1lb below my target weight 🙂 Here’s what I learned over the holiday period:
    1. I’ve pretty much lost my old sweet tooth
    2. I don’t have to eat food just because there is the opportunity to do so, even if it’s an ‘occasion’ eg birthday cake at the office
    3. Having more than one small glass of wine wipes out all of the above and turns me into a carb-craving monster with no self control.
The way ahead into maintenance is clear!

    Day 6, UK, NFD
79.0 kg. Yesterday’s FD went off without a problem. Still 4.2 kg away from where I was Dec 1st, but a new post Xmas low. I NEED to be more focused on NFDs!

    Day 6 – Ireland – NFD
Love being back on this forum – feel supported and encouraged just by being here and am learning so much from everyone!
I’m hoping to have two good NFDs this weekend. My favourite treat is crisps or anything savoury/crunchy but they are also my downfall so might have to look at a Crisp Free February….😱 Will see!
Have a good day everybody! Onward and downward!

I have just started the 5:2. New year’s resolution! Already lost 1.4 kilos since Jan 1st. Very excited – please count me in 😊

Day 6 NFD London UK – still happy and dry.

FD yesterday went well. Lots of coffee, lots of water, two apples. That’s it!

So many brilliant comments. Especially about wishing one had taken up intermittent fasting years ago. All that time wasted failing at others diets and feeling useless and a failure. I have to say, that’s just how the diet industry likes us!

I am sticking with fizzy water, but I miss the water of the north of England. I’m from West Yorkshire, where the water is also nice. I bet the Cumbrian water is very soft. Not quite sure what that means but I was brought up being told Yorkshire water was lovely and soft. Not chalky maybe? London water leaves quite a lot to be desired. As does the air,,,
Sorry not to name check people much. I’m doing this on my iPad in bed and it takes me too long ….

Day 6 FD Good morning 🌈🌎

FD for me today and Still feeling totally motivated but today is another toughy as we have another footy match ( City v Burnley in the FA cup). Hopefully it’ll be a win win situation for both me and City.
Just back from running the local 5k park run in a time of 31 minutes exactly, which is quite good for me.
@goldensun the park runs are great, very well organised and totally free. Have a look on line and register yourself. There are organised park runs all over the UK and all free to join. They all start at 9am on a Saturday morning and are for absolutely everyone. I started my running by doing a c25k with a local running club and have carried on.🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️
My first weigh in tomorrow so fingers crossed that the scales will be good to me. 🤞🏻🤞🏻
Good luck to everyone for today 🙂

    Day 6, Newcastle UK, NFD

Good NFD yesterday – higher than BMR but still 265 cals less than TDEE. Another .2lb dispatched this morning.

@emma-taylor – good for you and yes it is! I’ve read the book twice and about to start again. The 5:2 WOL is about changing our mindset and lifestyle. Fortunately, for some of us that includes booze. Just a few weeks ago I would have prefaced that last sentence with ‘Unfortunately’. However, the truth about alcohol has truly shocked and rocked me. I count myself as incredibly fortunate to have been introduced to this book by you at this time in my life. Have a super holiday xx
@daffodil2010 – what an incredible experience – a memory you will never forget. And that’s before you landed!
Thanks @missybear, @mjrbcd44 and @at – all encouragement much appreciated.
@markie99 – I agree with you about this forum being a happy place to come to. It’s been a life-line for me over the last year. One of the upsides of technology.
Amazing footage from Massachusetts this morning @leggit. Now that’s a lot of snow!
    @joblot44 – hope you’re enjoying your parkrun as I type….. 🙂
@fatfingers – you can do it!
@califdreamer & @fatrabbit – I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Congratulation, inspirational and Wow! For the first time in my life I am believing that I can be a shape and BMI I’d never thought possible.
Thanks for those tips @michelinme. I’m still regularly waking at 3am and although I get back to sleep, I’d dearly love to get through the full 8 hours asleep.
@jr_co – you live in one of the most beautiful places I’ve ever visited. Still have vivid memories of long drives through Colorado to and from Denver. You can do this – you’re in the right place.
@pamie – hope you enjoy the wedding – will be interested to hear how you got on foodwise.
    Very wise words @onahealthyhigh.
@chickensrock – you describe an idyllic day. Even in the height of summer we rarely get a day like that over here. Sigh…..
@janeandmoses – not wanting to miss anything – please tell us who your question was directed to? I’m guessing but don’t want to be wrong. I’m sure many of us will be interested in the answer.
Well done @ultramel – bet you feel chuffed!
@jessmac – your No.3 – yep! Feel free to join us Dry Januarians.
@steve toon taxi driver & @big Viking – soup, soup and more soup – filling and satisfying. Could help keep those NFDs in check.

“Alcohol: Temporary fun with permanent consequences”

    Day 6 NSW Australia CFD
    Hi everyone
    Just checking in
    Bye for now!

Hi sorry my post question was to #sagirl but of course I would like anyone to help me. I started off really well on 1 jan and things have gone a bit downhill towards the end of the week so am looking to boost my motivation for the coming week. Does anyone find not eating for a day plays havoc with your digestion? I do!!

    Day 6 Wales NFD

    Enjoy the weekend everyone x

    Day 6 : Cheshire, UK : NFD

@joblot44 : thank you for the info on Park Runs. Have signed up. Gosh! lots of respect on getting up on a Saturday morning to run. 🙂

    Happy Saturday Everyone!

@ strawberriesandcream. I feel the same. V lucky to have found that book. Can’t remember how I found it – it might have been on here. My OH is still drinking plenty of red wine ( and a bit of vodka) but I’ve just decided it’s not for me. I feel happier than I’ve felt for years, partly due to this WOL and this great forum, and partly because I don’t drink. Who would’ve thought not drinking could make you very happy. You live and learn.

    Perth, Western Australia
    Day 5 – CD
    Day 6 – CD

    Day 6, London, UK, NFD.

Yesterdays’ FD didn’t go to plan, all good until I broke my fast with a veggie soup at 4pm, then I should have guzzled lots of water to drown that dragon, but instead I devoured crisps………………… and not just 1 or 2!!!!! I really need to get back to work on the 9th so I can get back into my B2B2B routine. I don’t plan on fasting ‘til then, as it’s a real struggle at home & I don’t need the stress!!!! 3 days of being mindful should be manageable ……………….shouldn’t it??????!!!!

@emma Taylor, well said ………….. “Who would’ve thought not drinking could make you very happy”, I’m staying strong on that Dry January wagon & hoping to reap the benefits ASAP as the fasting is proving a little tricky so far!!!

    Keep the faith people!!!

    Day 6 Cheshire uk NFD

Wow day 6 and 10 pages of posts. Weigh in this morning put me at 199lbs, I’ve had a couple of FDs so I probably started the week a bit higher. Bouncing around 200lbs again, feels like deja vu. I’m trying for dry January along with everyone else. No alcohol last night, tonight I’m planning on a fish curry with rice and have bought OH some no alcohol beer. I dont like beer so a top tip I saw online, drink good quality tonic water, tastes just like a g&t.

Most of the Christmas goodies are gone. I have a bag for the local food bank which contains A box of Roses, Chocolate Oranges and the 3 (yes 3) boxes/tins of shortbread we were given. I mean who buys someone you’ve seen lose weight shortbread.

Just off to look at a house, in the interests of downsizing we’re starting to look at what we could get for our money. I’m in two minds – it makes sense to free up some of the equity in this house having been here over 20 years, but I do love it here.

Glad to be back rambling at you guys, thanks for the support I couldn’t have got here by myself.

    Day 6….Florida…..FD

I made it over the mountain and kept my little dragon friend caged, and the scales are telling me that I have no added carnage.

    @basyjames….Happy Birthday!

@leggit….I have IBS with constipation, which for the most part fasting has helped, so I’ve never used silverbotics for it. So, unfortunately I’m not sure of the dosage but here is a website I use frequently for dosage information. http://hormonerollercoaster.com/wp-content/uploads/2014/07/Silver-Biotics-Usage-Guide-for-Your-Reference.pdf
It includes most of the basic stuff, however, at the top of the pages there is another link that is pretty helpful too.

I’m actually headed to our natural store to pick up some today too, I woke up yesterday and this morning to my gum being a bit sore, so that can only mean one of two things, the flu is trying to catch me or I’m getting a tooth ache….. I want neither of them!

@anna6……. as a family, we always go to first Friday, because not all of us can go to Sunday Mass. So going once a month as a family works out in our favor. Now my OH, he goes everyday to morning Mass before work. Hey, the way I look at it, as long as you believe, how you practice it is totally up to you!

I haven’t had a chance to catch up with all the posts, hopefully, I’ll be able to do that later today. As of right now, I’ve a very busy day ahead of me. Today, is the epiphany and if I don’t get the Christmas decorations down by dusk, I’m going to be forced to have them up all year…… I don’t think I can clean around this stuff for a whole entire year with out going nuts! Then it suppose to be get warm again, so I also have to get all my plants uncovered. Plus, it looks like I’m having a ugly blanket and sheet convention in my back yard……

Today will be a a FD as I’ll be to busy to think about food, the kitchen or the dragon.

I’m going outside to stand, so if anyone ask tell them I’m OUTSTANDING!

    Day 6 UK NFD/?CD

For some inexplicable reason I decided to make Raw Chocolate yesterday evening (raw cacao, coconut oil plus spices, honey, dried fruit & nuts) and tasted it as I went along. I actually felt my fat cells re-expanding and have woken up feeling huge, back to waddling behind my stomach:( It’s not the number of calories but the type of food – another reminder that all calories aren’t created equal.

This morning I’ve made yogurt & oat seedy bread for my week’s carb and a beetroot and banana loaf for my daughter to take home for her breakfasts this week. Loving the cooking adventures but need to be mindful of fats as well as sugars, carbs and calories! I guess a new Way Of Life takes time to learn if it’s going to stick.

Going to restart daily adapted yoga today – I’d taken a break during dizzy virus. Hopefully that will get me feeling more balanced and helpfuly.

Good luck everyone taking on additional challenges this month – planks, alcohol-free, sugar-free and other things – we’re rooting for you.

Day 6 USA (Utah visiting) NFD

Went over TDEE yesterday with a burger and a few fries from In N Out Burger. We don’t have them in Illinois, so it was a nice treat. Another thing I love about My Fitness Pal is how it has the calories for oh so many restaurants and such. I’ve gotten so I use it daily. Yesterday I also baked some delicious banana nut muffins I will have for breakfast today.

@at – yes our WOL at maintenance is wonderful, isn’t it?

@janeandmoses – I eat a small apple for regularity, and it really has helped my digestive tract a lot. Someone on a forum gave me that idea over a year ago. I also take daily fiber capsules – psyllium – and have done that for several years now. Generally I eat the apple even on FD and count about 100 calories for it.

    Onward and downward.

Thanks #songbird I’ll defo give that a try

Day 6, USA, Missouri Ozarks, CD

Hello all, beautifully cold but sunny day here in the Ozarks. Maybe I can get in a walk around the farm and take some pictures of the frozen ponds.

Slept great, was rearin’ to go at 5 a.m. on a Saturday where there s really no where to go…. haha.

Got in my first plank before six, plan to do maybe four sets of 3 1/2 minutes today. I can see such an amazing difference in the definition of my abs. Mind you, nothing to post on Instagram about but the only people who really see them are my husband who isn’t complaining and my doctor who gets paid to look.

Drinking one cup of coffee with maybe a teaspoon of French vanilla creamer then will switch to hot lemon water then green tea and water for the rest of the day. Over the holidays I was having three or four cups of heavily laden with creamer coffee (oh and three or four homemade cookies) – before breakfast !

That was then, this is now.

    Now feels better.

    Off to read.

    Wishing all well.

    Day 6 – USA – NFD

Well, it was a great FD yesterday until about 6pm at 362 cals…then I remembered I had broth with diced tomatoes left over from dinner the night before and my calories went up to 706. Still a FD, but I like to keep them at 500 or less if I can. Cruella dealt me a cruel blow this a.m. – 170 lbs after 2 FDs? Must be in transit food, so I’ll stay calm and wait for a whoosh. We’ll see if I lost any inches later on today.

    Day 6 – Fuertaventura – NFD

I’ve been enjoying all the posts filled with new and old resolve for this WOL! The re-cap stories are truly amazing – some fabulous weight losses and inspirational tales of maintenance.

I have smiled more than once at newbie accounts of how surprised they are – lack of hunger, good losses etc…. I was too only a couple of months ago!

As pledged I’m being mindful with holiday eating… about a third of the way in and I’m not having to breathe in to get into my shorts… There’s another first! Achieved 10000 steps each day. All going well apart from starting with a shocking cold – why, why, why on holiday???

No FDs for me until the 16th but willing you all on!

    Day 6, US, NFD

I’m super pleased – my OH has decided to go dry (at least for the moment) so while I will still allow myself a glass of wine on the weekend, without my usual drinking buddy, I know this will be a lot easier for me not to overindulge! I might even do a Februdry month! (Too late to join you dry Januarians).

    Day 6 – Massachusetts – nfd

Yesterday’s calories went fine but… sugar, sugar, sugar! 🙁 I have not quite mastered the no sugar weekday rule. This time I didn’t have any chocolate, only sugary candies, but still. Not a cd day after all. Oh well. To try agin next week! @sugar-free pocket list – stay strong! 💪

We did get quite a bit of snow here! Thanks for all your thoughts. Luckily where I am I had no flooding or pipes bursting, but the photos looked impressive. Today we are having some colder than normal temps (9F or -13C) which is lovely.

@anna6 and to all those sick – wishing you a speedy recovery! Why did I have to get sick over Christmas??? 😫 I hope you all get better soon.

@bert1802 – thanks for the tips. I will check out that link – I have IBS with diarrhea. Fasting doesn’t make it worse and I think generally helps but it seems like I need something more sometimes.

Maintenance is this wonderful idea where finally, finally, finally I no longer have to think about how I want to lose weight. It is going to be amazing to check off that to-do that I’ve had for years and years. I’m amazed by all these success stories and they give me so much hope! It’s amazing how much better I feel knowing I finally have the tools to get me there. Even though everyone says it’s as simple as eating less than you burn, it never felt that simple to me. Now I’m getting it!

If you’re going through hell, keep going!

Day 6 Belfast a dry but freezing NFD
Somehow, Christmas is really over now. YS is away home and OS goes tomorrow, so I can really start to clean out and start afresh. Puppy was away for her last jab today so we can take her out for her first walk next Saturday. 😀
My exercise starts in earnest tomorrow. I’ve been a bit lazy over the Christmas period.

@michelinme – wow! I love 💗 your short term goals.
    Thanks for your thoughts @awilson
@EmmaTaylor – I saluteyour resolve! Enjoy your trip.
@borealis – my problem is that I still have opened biscuits, Christmas pudding and a few other goodies crying ‘eat me,’ from the cupboard! I wonder if the reset button ever breaks?
    Good luck @fatfingers!
Thanks to your post @leggit I stayed strong! I think the demon has passed. 👍 I drink water kefir daily for gut health. Have you tried that or the milk variety for your IBS?
@daffodil – I taught ‘The Rainforest’ as a topic to my P7s for many years. However, it wasn’t till I retired and travelled to Australia that I actually went in both a temperate and tropical rainforest. We took the cable car over the forest in Cairns and I couldn’t believe that the forest stretched as far as the eye could see. I can’t imagine flying over the Amazon, which makes my experience pale into insignificance. What a trip you’ll have!
@michelinme – it’s no coincidence that many of us put weight on at times in our lives when we struggled or were unhappy. Then it becomes a vicious circle. The heavier we become, the more unhappy we become and eat for comfort. A huge part of this journey is to accept and love ourselves for what we are. As I’ve got thinner, I’ve found the confidence to begin to address issues which I should have done years ago. Then maybe I wouldn’t have got fat. There’s no quick fix, but here’s a great starting place for sure. And thanks for the link.
@at we’re lucky here too in terms of water. Ours comes from the Mourne Mountains and is delicious. I like the bubbles on FDs. And another fantastic quote to finish. Where do you get them all from?
@metatauta – 60 is the new 40! And I think all us of more mature years have realised that our health is no one else’s responsibility but ourselves.
    You’re very Welcome @trueseattle and @suzyqueue and @tigris
@jaifaim – I hope your bike ride was a little warmer than it is here today. It is Baltic! WeLl done on your challenges so far. We can do it!
    Happy anniversary @chickensrock
@janeandmoses – when I first started this WOL I found I suffered from a lot of heartburn (I have an on-going problem anyway). However, by making sensible food choices and persisting, the problem abated.
Oh my goodness @lindasue! I have a long planking way to go!

Hope you feel better soon @fatrabbit, @anna6 and any one else who is suffering at the moment.

    Remember: be practical not perfect.

    Las Vegas NV
    Day 5 NFD
    Day 6 NFD

Finally feeling 97% normal after the nasty cold bug. 160.5 this AM, maintaining with no fast days. Leaving for Miami FL in an hour, one week Caribbean cruise. No fast days planned till return.

Debster – When I first started planking (which was only last year) thirty seconds had my stomach and legs just jerking and clenching. Now, it is no problem at 3 1/2 minutes. And it feels so good – I can’t wait to do it. I alternate high and elbow planks (don’t really do the side stuff but I might in the near future). I think one or two minutes planks is fine and gives a lot of benefit, I just enjoy doing it and find it relaxes me. I do one right before I get into bed. My husband just shakes his head !!

I can really tell a difference with the planks, more so than any other ab work I have ever done. I also feel that it is definitely helping with my back and my posture. The older I get the more I worry about these things as I am almost 69 years old.

@lindasue – I’m managing 1mins elbow plank and then (with a break) 1min full plank with straight arms. I’ve also dabbled with side planks because we do them at Pilates. At 63 with a bad back, I share your concern. So I’m getting there! When I’m quivering down on the floor, I’ll think of you. You’ve inspired me!

    Day 6, UK, NFD

    Hello everyone 👋
Its been really good reading all the posts here 🙂
I hope all that are sick with cold/flu get better soon!
Its a NFD for me, and so far its been going good.
Decided to try and make my own sourdough starter, second attempt. It takes time so lets see what happens.
I stopped eating sugar/chocolate (apart from dark chocolate, more that 80% cacao) a while ago, and I’m fine with it now, but I keep eating nuts 🙁 . I know they are healthy but they still have lots of calories. Working on learning to control myself with them.
Have a great weekend everyone 🤗

    Day 5 Sarasota, Florida NFD
Day 6 Sarasota, Florida CD I’m in maintenance and it’s working out if I do about 4 CD’s/week- on those days I eat only breakfast and dinner. I’ll throw in a FD now and then if I need to but I’m simply enjoying being at my ideal weight now since November. House is still full of cookies and chocolate but I’ve gotten quite disciplined over the last 10 months. Writing down everything I eat in an App will always be essential. Never backsliding again 💪.

Day 6, Mountaintop PA USA, NFD

The 100 year old plus temperature records are shattered in many parts of the US today. We expect a high of 7° today with wind chill of -18°, winds 20mph and gusts 32mph. Not a day for a walk in winter wonderland although the sun is a bright spot. I haven’t had a decent walk outside since December 26, eleven days and counting.

Only one FD this week. I am in maintenance for the past 3 months. For the newbies remember that this WOL works over time, one day at a time. I lost 18 pounds in one year on Fast 5:2 and am enjoying the fun of buying smaller clothes.

This forum is excellent for keeping all of us motivated. Healthy eating is gold.

    Day 6 California NFD

Looking forward to another day of maintenance. Lots to do today so will put off eating until this evening.

Hope everyone is having a great day!

    Day 6 NFD Oregon USA

Well I am trying to get back to “normal” but still beleaguered by low level gut pain and nausea. On day 3 of cleanse prep. Monday night will be the night…just keep your fingers crossed that it works. While I know I can get surgery I am now 100% motivated to avoid.

@metatauta–was noticing the same about our “maturity” here and love your take @debster251.
60 is the new 40 but most importantly–WE are in charge of our health!! 💪💪❤️
@lindasue and the other plank challengers-was planning on joining when this whole g.b. issue started. You are an inspiration for sure!!
@metatauta–love that your scale is “Cruella”.
@leggit-found your quote especially warming today–going to keep on going!!
@diverdog–have a fabulous cruise. Used to sell travel and cruised a lot over a five year period. Sadly since I went back to radio work, haven’t been. So it has been five years since my last. 🙁 Which line are you traveling with?
@tigris and @suzyqueue will add you to the spreadsheet if you haven’t already! Welcome!!

Tomorrow is DH’s bday so trying to get myself up and out today. And focused on something other than my own woes this week!!

@onahealthyhigh wasn’t it you who had a recent self-pity crisis? Can’t let it derail me.
    Won’t let it derail me.

Figure out what is good for you and then create a liking for it! You have to work at living! ❤️

    Day 6-uk-NFD

Having a lovely night with hubby and kids x

    Day 6, Guildford UK, NFD

I am 5kg from target 1 today! So so pleased.

I am going dancing and tomorrow a zombie walk.

It may be time to start thinking about a better social life 2018 is here and I have been pretty much isolated.

Tomorrow I start studying again, I have exams in 6 days…….

I took a long break from work and studies after dad died in early December as I couldn’t face anything. I have locked myself away and cried a great deal. Pity party over.

However I have kept to my 5:2 and didn’t go backwards much (2lbs).

    @basyjames belated happy birthday

@debster251 and @lindasue will start planks they sound awesome. Under the deadly white stuff may be a muscle or two, although not yet visible. My remaining weight is all on my tummy. And a little bit on the top of my hips.

Would love to identify the great book that’s being discussed.

CD Caloundra Qld Australia. Hi everyone I’m just checking in. I find the NFDs the most challenging. I thought that I was supposed to eat 80% of my TDEE on NF days, but it seems that I’m not eating enough. I now realise now that I should be eating up to my TDEE. That’s probably why the scales aren’t moving.

    Day 7/NFD/Dry Januarian/Melbourne Australia

Good morning a quick check in today.

    Day 6, Gozo, Malta, nfd

Leggit I’m feeling a bit better today and I went out this afternoon. I’m still taking antibiotics though. I hope you are better too and all our cyber friends of this forum who were sick. Let’s hope everyone gets a speedy recovery and gets healthy again.

Bert1802 I too go to church everyday but my husband and children go on Sunday only. I haven’t been to church for over a week because I was sick 🤕 . I’m better now though still sick but I’m not missing going tomorrow. It’s nice as a family to go together sometimes.

Next Monday is my first B2B2B fast days. It will be my first of this year.

Have a great Saturday everyone. Onwards and downwards

    Day 6 – UK – FD

Will come in at just under 500cals for today but feeling very cold and the temperature has dropped to under zero at night and not much above 4 degrees during the day!!! Drinking plenty of hot water and a few cups of tea with a dash of skimmed milk during the day kept me going……..

Great work by the plank challenge group! I started off being able to hold a high plank for 2mins or an elbow plank for 1 min – my aim at the end of the month is to be able to increase both of these by 1 min!
This is what my daily plank challenge consists of at the moment – 1 min high plank + 30sec elbow plank + 30 sec elbow plank with Rt leg raised + 30sec elbow plank with Lt leg raised + 30 sec Rt side plank on forearm + 30 sec Lt side plank on forearm + 30 sec high plank and ending with 1 min elbow plank (taking 15 sec rest between each)

Hope everyone is having a good weekend too

    Day 6 -Peru 🇵🇪 -NFD

Lima is a beautiful city. It’s so great to be in summertime again, the flowers, trees, and birds so exotic to this Northern European. Sun however is very strong and will get stronger once we start heading into the Andes.

So I bought factor 90 sunscreen today 😲. I don’t think I can get higher than factor 50 in Ireland !!

We went for a Peruvian buffet lunch yesterday after the Dakar Village. It was a local place, we were the only tourists, and OMG the food was delicious 😋
Alcohol wise I might have joined the Dry Januarians as I have had only 1 Pisco Sour and it’s day 3 already!!

    Off to the Andes tomorrow.
    Still planking daily though 😊

I should have joined your plank challenge. Anyone has a link to it?

Sorry to hear about your loss @rainbowsmile 🙁 , keep strong.

Glad to hear you are feeling a bit better @anna6 , hopefully others who were sick are feeling better too 🤗

Your holiday seem to be going great @daffodil2010, enjoy! 😍 You should try and soak up some sun and stock up on Vitamin D 😉
