Iron defficiency

  • My wife would like to start the 5:2, as it has worked well for me; however, she is concerned about her iron deficiency. She takes daily supplements to maintain levels and is in good health otherwise. Any advice would be welcome. Thank you.

    I also have iron deficiency. I take my supplements and try to find low calorie foods with iron and protein in them on my fast days. Beans and low-fat pork are foods I eat a lot. I’m not a fan of meat, nor the iron supplements, so it’s not improved by as much as it should, but it’s not become worse.
