  • So I want to set goals for losing weight.
I want to base this on what would be healthy numbers for someone my age.
Can someone help me out where I can find this information, or even better, does someone know the healthy ranges of these for someone my length (1m86), age (24yrs) and sex(male)?
    Thank you!

    I’m looking for:
    BMI
    Fat %
    Lean body mass
    Weight
    Waist measurements

Do you think I’m missing any?

Hi BSwift, did you find this page with the BMI and TDEE calculator? https://thefastdiet.co.uk/how-many-calories-on-a-non-fast-day/

You might want to measure other parts of your body if you are keen to see how you lose weight from different places, eg upper arms.

But other than that, I think you have it covered!

Best wishes for your 5:2 journey.

    Hi,

The site Cinque linked to will give you most of what you need. The healthy BMI range for most adults is 18.4 to 24.9, irrespective of age or gender. One study a few years ago indicated that 22.5 seemed to be the best for recovering from illnesses. At 1.86m tall that gives you a weight range from 64kg to 86.1kg, with 77.8kg for a BMI of 22.5.

According to the user guide with my scales for a male aged 24 the following normal ranges apply:

    Body Fat : 8% – 20%
    Body Water: 50% – 65%
    Muscle Mass: 34% – 40%
    Bone Mass: 3% – 5%

    Hope this helps.
