  • Morning All,
Completely delighted to have reached the pre Australia number on the scales. Hopefully I can nudge it down to a new stone band in March which would be fantastic. I have been eating less and trying to eat more protein and less carbs.

    How is it going Iona?

    Hello

I had my lab results back and thankfully I am no longer in the pre-diabetic range, losing weight has really helped my numbers. Not much scale movement the last few weeks but I’m feeling enthused, so like you @annette52, I am hoping for more progress in March.

    Well done Iona.

I have to accept that at 64 any changes are going to be both small and slow but I would like to be smaller by Easter.

Just keeping going seems to be only option. Avoiding any food that is ultra processed seems to be helpful.

@annette52 We are away in Scotland for the end of Feb/start of March so eating out and a few drinks will be involved but I’m determined to make progress before Easter. Lets get it done!!

    Have a great time, Iona.

My clothes look better, but the scales are refusing to budge. Never mind, I can see the change.

Going away to Italy in April and I would like to wear trousers that I can’t currently get into. We shall see…

    Hello

Scale holding steady, I’m feeling motivated at the moment, hope you had a good week @annette52 ?
A trip away gives a good focus. I would love to go to Italy again.
We are off to the seaside tomorrow for a family day trip. Fish and chips may be involved! Then back on the straight and narrow to try and break the plateau.

Its been a busy week at work and I have been feeling rather tired, but then I am 64. Really looking forward to Italy for a week. Going with my son who has ended a long-term relationship and hasn’t been away for a decade. I think we will have a lovely time.

I have a uni student staying here, which is great to fund the holiday, but I am really looking forward to May and his departure. Absolutely no trouble and I barely see him, but it will be lovely not to have anyone else in the house.

I have become rather demoralised and hungry, so I haven’t fasted for a few weeks. I need to get back into the groove…
