What kind of lifestyle someone follow, which help in raising the level of HDL in our body? Do we need to quit the smoking and drinking habits for that? Please help!!

“Your best bet for increasing HDL cholesterol is to exercise briskly for 30 minutes five times a week. Examples of brisk, aerobic exercise include walking, running, cycling, swimming, playing basketball and raking leaves — anything that increases your heart rate.” This info was taken from the Mayo Clinic website.

If you get some measurements done then get LDL-p (particle count) rather than LDL-c (concentration). Not all LDL are the same. It is only a particular sub group that is dangerous.
