  • I got absolutely battered at bowls by a lady called Brenda.I would say she was in her late 70s early 80s I was 9-0 down in no time at all. Managed to win a few ends but lost 21-13. They told me after she played for my team for years and knows the green much better than I do. She also played for Lancashire at county level. She was a lovely lady and we had a good laugh.

    AutumnSky..
I abandoned my fast day, a bit in a holiday mode, 2 weeks to go .. I stayed the same…
Our chippy is about £9 haddock and chips like Dave I travel to mine as it’s really good, about 20 mins away.
Good luck on your gardener tomorrow hope it’s successful and looks nice.
Enjoy your half term, seeing my daughter Jacqui tomorrow…shopping and lunch out.

    Dave..
I like these old timers who have played over the years, Don is 92 he used to play for a league, he helps and gives you tips..

    Jean x

I played John last week he’s 92, played quiet a few in their 90s,I always say to them it must be doing us good. I’ve done 9000 steps today so that’s good. The lady I played Brenda was doing the pegging with me, (That’s when you have to measure the bowls distance from the jack when it’s close) They kept asking if they’re was something going on with us two🤣I said a gentleman never tells. Told Denise😃😄.

    Morning all,

Got up early to prep for the gardener and it’s raining. Not good.😔

Brads27 – When you’re active and keep learning (anything new) it helps later in life. I really need to take my own advice as I need to move more. I enjoy reading about your bowling wins or losses. However, that was a harsh loss yesterday: 21-13.😮 Well done for getting in 9,000 steps. I am slacking and need to get on track.

Jean – Understand about getting into the holiday mode and relaxing a little bit. I will be fasting until 14:00 today. It’s slightly later, as I ate until late last night.

    Will jump later!

AS I have more loses than wins sadly but I enjoy it so that’s the main thing. I used to get upset when I lost but now I just move on to the next game.I used to win more when I could bend down but I have severe arthritis in both knees. On the plus side with all bowling I have not taken my co-codamol for a few months. Very dull here today and we have had a few drops of rain. Still struggling for motivation to do the decorating, will wash the woodwork down today then maybe paint it tonight. Wallpaper tomorrow all being well. Jean holiday mode is difficult to shake but you know you can move the weight once you return from holiday.HH what are you up to today any planting ? Hemmy the speedway is against Oxford on Monday but I think it may well be called off due to the weather. I’ve not been to Oxford for a long time, that race at Sandy lane, I remember the car park because they put one line of cars facing north to south and the next line east to west, so nobody could move until one line had gone. I used to go all over the country to watch speedway then I took up bowls and that put a stop to it. Can’t decide what to have for tea, either chilli or a salad.

Afternoon! Page has turned so I might forget something…
Jean- hope you have a nice day out with Jacqui!
Dave- shame about the bowling but while you’re enjoying it that’s good, & it seems to be keeping you fit! Great that you’ve been able to stay off the pain medication…
Hemmy- enjoy your prawns! I do love prawns in mayo, just have them with salad & I usually make enough for Mum as well. Hope the weather’s okay for gardening today…
AS- did you get the garden done? Hope the weather cheered up…nice you have half term off! Shame about the weight staying the same but you do well working long hours & resisting goodies…
Nana- did you meet up with your friends last night?
Don’t know where yesterday went, we had to go into town, got son’s uniform all ironed & saw Mum. Just had one meal yesterday, we’re out tonight & had planned to have fish and chips by the sea before the show but it’s been grotty here, hubby will eat early before we go & I’ve decided to do an extra FD! Dropped son’s washing off- he has lectures & drills next week, final exam on the following Monday & then they’re done! A few days to practice for their passing out parade on 5th June, & then will hear at last where he’ll be stationed. He’s asked if I can do cakes for his first shift, hopefully I can but he won’t know his shift pattern, we might be away…Saw Mum this afternoon, she’d got 10 pence coins out & was asking what they were & if she can use them, but then she played Rummikub really well, such a strange disease!
Have a good evening everyone 🥰

I had a salad for tea, unusual for me to have that on a Saturday but trying to cut down on calories. It also meant I could have lunch and still calories too spare.i bought some strawberries and will put them in greek yogurt. Roast lamb tomorrow Painted the door surrounds in the kitchen, will do the doors tomorrow, Denise as now said she wants a different colour for the doors👀😱😝.I think I’ll take the doors off too paint them, should be easier to do. Ordered some screwdriver bits to fit in the drill so I can use that to get the for off and some paint stripper because the screws holding the door on are covered in paint. So hopefully they will come tomorrow. Think I’m keeping Amazon going.

    Evening All..
A walk with Natalie’s mum and Oreo as she’s flying.. Jacqui came at 11am we went to a shopping outlet, picked up some nail polish and a new macrame bag for the summer. Lunch at the cafe.. nice day.

    Dave..
Hope you got some decorating started.. is the front door finished now. Expensive decorating you seem to be buying all the time.

    AutumnSky..
Did you manage to start the garden or do they have to come back? So annoying the weather change.

    Hedgehog..
Nice to see the end of the course for son, then passes out. He has done really well. Poor mum, it is hard to understand it.

    Hemmy..
Hope your ‘holiday’ is going well.

    Nana..
    What are you up too?

    Jean x

Jean I painted indoors, couldn’t do the front door because it was raining. Looks like rain for the next few days. Once I get the kitchen done it will give me motivation to do the next room, the living room then the bedrooms and bathroom. It’s just the thought of doing it all and Denise not feeling great.

    Morning all,

Bright start and I am here looking through the French doors to the garden to see the stark colours of the paving stones (finally) adorning the best garden on the street. Mine!😁

Jean – The gardener came and did a great job! They arrived round 10:00 and didn’t finish until around 16:00. It was a hard one for them I could tell. They even cleaned our bottom windows and the neighbours side fence where there were lots of bushes. We did pay them an extra £60 for the extra touches.

Hedgehogs – You son is almost at the end of his course, and I am sending all my best wishes his way to do well. What cakes does he want you to make for his first shift? Or what will you be making for him? Sorry to read about your mum and her dementia. Never played Rummikub, so looked it up and found a wonderful article about Rummikub and dementia (I’m not sure if you are allowed to include links on this website but the article is called: ‘Matching tiles: how Rummikub links my childhood to Alzheimer’s disease’. It was an interesting short read.

Brads27 – I have definitely been overdoing it and have my meals planned out for today (brekkie – omelette with olive salad, lunch – rice, salmon with mixed veg, supper – salmon wraps with olive salad). I am trying to stay within my calories and I have training to do today, along with my target of 8,000 steps. I have next week off for half term. However, I have a lot to do and will be popping into school over the half term.

Hope you all manage to rest well today.

AS I have breakfast about 4 times per year apart from being away on holiday.I fund if I have breakfast it’s very restrictive on what’s I can have the rest of the day. I am a very poor eater, olives are the worst thing on earth followed be cheese and soup. Salmon is close as well. I am very limited in weekday I eat. If I could have the things most people have I would lose weight easily. I’m not even a big fan of vegetables but do like fruit and nuts. The sun is out but there is rain about so no front door painting.Waiting for Amazon to deliver the tools I want them I can get on with the painting.F1 today and football so I’ll take Chloe out soon.

    Morning All…
Very blowy out on our walk but bright.

I have sorted my nail polishes out, thrown out some and put them organised in a box. I am going to try and give it a go myself again, my toes cost me £34 for a pedicure and gell polish. I wondered if I can see better now my cataracts have been sorted and save money.
You will laugh…I am doing a trial, I have a different colour on each finger of my left hand, all different makes of polish..let’s see which lasts the longest!

    Dave..
All my decorating has finished I will think again in September … it’s hard doing it all on your own and taking Charlie out too. Let’s hope the rain stops and you can finish the door.

    AutumnSky..
Your garden sounds all good now.. I need new decking or paving slabs putting down.. first quote on decking £4,000 for next year. It’s so small 8’ x 10’ seems expensive . I have seen another land scape gardening company I shall ask them for a quote back end of year.

Debating what to do.. nothing planned…

    Jean x

A good day sports wise. Got the results I wanted. Roast lamb for tea my favourite and because we have no peas I’ll have butter beans with it. Got these from Asda Hemmy.Raining here hope it’s dry tomorrow for speedway. Bought a chicken for Chloe and Peter too share, thought Peter was away this weekend but it was only yesterday. Chloe made short work of it.

    Evening!
Dave- shame you’ve been held up with the decorating by rain & a tool shortage! Lucky Chloe with her chicken, hope you enjoyed the lamb …
Jean- definitely hard for you decorating & still having to walk Charlie! Last time we did some Xena went to doggy daycare…It does sound expensive for your decking but then we’ve never spent anything much on the garden, I’m not allowed 😂 You will get some funny looks with your different nail varnish!
AS- Good that you got your garden all done, sounds like they worked hard! Your food always sounds lovely, I love salads & olives…thanks for letting me know about that article, I’ll have a look! Games like Rummikub have got to help I’m sure…I make stuff for the retained fire station son’s at regularly, I do some of Jane’s patisserie recipes, Crunchie Tiffin is very popular, otherwise I bake blondies or brownies…
Hemmy- hope you’re enjoying your weekend, & Nana too!
The show was great last night, stayed up very late for us so we could spend some time with Xena, & gave her a walk, still woke at 7am though! Wouldn’t normally weigh on a Sunday but I fasted yesterday, the scales were good, at goal weight so need to work on the wiggle room now!
Have a good evening everyone 🥰

    Morning All..
    Chilly out but improving.

Nothing doing here.. maybe look at holiday things etc..

    Dave..
Roast lamb is my favourite but always expensive…

    Hedgehog..
We already had the decking when we bought the house , I do like it but I don’t think we would have put it in. Nails still looking good…hand nails do get a lot of hammer.
Really brilliantly well done to getting to goal, you have really worked hard. I think this is the hardest time to regulate and keep the same.
That makes three of us around goal.

    Jean x

    Afternoon!
Tea break here, been doing some cleaning, forecast was for rain so we decided not to risk going out anywhere! I’m doing a FD, the fridge was looking a bit bare, suggested a few things to hubby for his dinner, nothing appealed so I said he should join me, he chose something quickly then 😂
Had a nice walk with Xena, we did some exploring again.
Hope everyone is having a good day!

Good thinking HH. Back from speedway it started raining just as the speedway finished.Ipswitch are the top team this season, the Witches are riding well. It was cold at the speedway, glad to get home. I’ll spray the door hinges with paint stripper then try and take the doors off with my new tools. Feels cold in the house today might put the fire on. Must decide what to have for tea later.

    Good afternoon everyone Xxxx

Its a dull and windy day here.. I hope the sunshine is with you. .

We are having a easy weekend here .. it very quiet in the village no BBQ smells at all. Our local shop is open.

Enjoyed the G P race yesterday from Monaco .. I went there years ago ..a beautiful fairy tale place.

This evening its Bacon egg tomatoes and a few homemade chips. and some Tesco trifle.

A S.. Your garden sounds lovely ..is it a large plot..

Dave.. Any luck with the weather on getting the door finished.

H H .. Oh well done on getting to your goal weight.. After awhile it gets easy staying there as your stomach shrinks. I do notice now when I eat with friends they eat more than I do.

Sym.. What a good idea with the polish. Have you chosen the one for your holiday yet.

Enjoy the afternoon everyone. Treat every day like it is a special one. Xxxx

Afternoon everyone, back after a lovely time away last week. Only drawback was OH had a nasty 24hr tummy bug one day but other than this a lovely relaxing time with nice sunshine but a cold sea breeze. Autumn Sky I took my kindle with me and did a bit of reading, enjoy your break and try not to work every day. For us retirees every day is a holiday, but I can remember when I worked how I used to enjoy my holiday time.
Hemmy very quite in our village also on our walk this morning.
Hedgehogs well done on achieving your goal weight it must feel good to have reached there.
Dave have fun with your new tools.
Jean not long until your next holiday be nice to have some time with your family.
Waitrose cod fishcake with parsley sauce filling for tea tonight, OH wanted chips with them but I’m doing horseradish mash.
Enjoy the rest of your day everyone.
    Nana xxx

    Evening All..
A bit of a flat day here, everyone seems busy over bank holidays, dog walkers go out at different times..a couple of long days with no chatting..
I am walking with Natalie in the morning.

    Dave..
Hope you managed your doors with your new bits and pieces.

    Hemmy..
My toes are a sort of shocking pink, so I have bought a colour about the same, so I will do my fingers the same. I am just seeing how the different colours wear and chip.
    To cold for bbq’s here.

    Nana..
Glad the holiday went well and you had a good time. Shame on hubby being unwell.
It’s about 10 days to my holiday, Friday 6th..

    Jean x

    Morning all,

Hope you all are doing well.

Jeans – I hope you’re enjoying your book. I have a kindle, but I always seem to go back to books. I love the smell of a new book. Wow! £4,000 is a lot for those changes to your garden. Definitely look around.

Hedgehogs – You are most welcome!😊

Brads27 – It sounds like it was cosy in your house last night with the fire on. It was a little nippy here, lots of rain, and I had to get my steps in, so I was out in the rain. I have family around, so we ended up at the local park in the afternoon. Hope Denise is going well.

Hemmy – It’s a 100 foot by 80 foot with a very large shed at the bottom of the garden. There’s a patio section with table and chairs at the other end. It’s mainly grass in the centre with paving on either side to walk down to the shed. There are flower beds running along the paving. There used to be spring onions, herbs, potatoes and all sorts growing. But we dug it up and opted for something simple to maintain, as we never managed to get tend to the garden properly, and it would become overgrown all too often. Lots of regrets now.

Things are busy here – in a good way. My niece and nephew are spending a few days with us during their term break. A few trips planned for them (Horniman museum today (more family to visit in SE London) and then bowling tomorrow). A short trip to wales is planned for the latter part of the week. Then back to school on Monday.

However, I did peek at my weight this morning and I am 2lbs heavier.😞 Unfortunately, I am now back to being 30lbs away from my goal. Not feeling good about it, and I can tell from the way that my clothes are fitting a little tighter, that I have slipped.

I know it could be a combination of water weight, as I did eat a lot of carbohydrates over the few days, but it was mainly me over indulging. I am keeping positive that today is another day to do better.😀

Have a great one every one!

    Morning All..
Walking shortly with Natalie and Oreo.. give the boys a good run..
Bright at the moment rain is expected so it will be no boules… I have food shopping to do, might have a drive to a large Asda there is a nice chippy nearby.. could be tempted…

    AutumnSky..
That sounds a large garden to keep tidy.. when Steve was with me, we made changes to make it easy. Getting to old now for border digging, it’s lovely if you love it like Hemmy. I like it tidy but easy.
Take the weight as it comes, it’s a way of life not a diet, you can soon put your head into it again. Life has busy times you have to fall into peoples plans. When back at work it will fall into place again.
I know I will put a lot on when on holiday, still it will come off again…a lot of wine and chatting with Katie, a years catch up takes its toll but well worth it.

Shower time.. have a good day with the family sounds busy 😂.

    Jean x

Good morning everyone, it poured down most of yesterday so not for done yet. The team won at bowls yesterday and that takes us to 2nd from top on the league on Monday’s.Wednesday is a much tougher league, were just about hanging on in that one. The same one Thursday but it’s a weaker team and Friday we’re half way. We have organised a trip in June at a pub/restaurant called the Rose and Bowl. They have a large bowling green at the back, we get there and have tea and biscuits then do a draw for bowling then they come round with mountains of bread and chips. We then play bowls on and off for a few hours then at night we have a carvery and dessert, soup first of you like that diet of thing😝. Then a coach home about 9pm. We did it 2 years ago and had a great time. I was drawn with an old lady who could just about lift her bowls as my partner. But it’s all good fun. I did stop a few pints from going sour 🤣.

It s a grey wet day here we got soaked on the mornings walk.
I cant get motivated today with the weather.

A S.. Gardening is time consuming especially when you are working. .Maybe pots are a good idea and easy maintenance.

Nana ..What are you doing today.

Dave.. The bowling clubs are very social ..Your trip to the Rose and Bowl sounds lovely.

H H …Well done on doing an FD on a holiday weekend… Its oh so easy to overeat in holiday mode.

Sym… Did you manage a dry walk. .and resist the chippy lol.

Enjoy your afternoon everyone .“Give the world the best you have and the best will come back to you.” Xxxx

Got soaked twice already today plus when I picked Denise up from clinic and then soaked again shopping 🤬🤬🤬. One good thing the bowling will be better for me if the greens are wet or heavy . That have been that quick with all the sunshine I had a job keeping them on the green. Tried to get the for off it’s hinges not only managed to remove 3 screws the others are solid so had to buy a screw extractor, told you I’m keeping Amazon going. They say it will be delivered today but I won’t hold my breath.Salad for tea tonight and I’ll get weighed tomorrow. If I lose a pound I’ll be extremely happy if not then it’s back to the drawing board.

    Evening!
Dave- fingers crossed for the scales tomorrow! Did Denise get any suggestions about where she might be able to get her prescription, or do they not know about that? Hope you can get the doors off tomorrow…we keep Amazon in business too.
Jean- did you resist the chippy? We used to go to Asda most of the time but ours have only 2 tills open so massive queues, I’m not going to put a whole trolley load through self service!
Hemmy- did it dry up at all for you? Is it this week you’re watering for your neighbours?
Nana- shame about hubby’s bug on your holiday! I’ll eat most things but hate parsley sauce, hope you enjoyed the fish cakes with it!
AS- shame about the little bit back on, but if you’ve had company it’s not surprising! Enjoy having your niece & nephew…Your garden sounds great, I’d love a bigger one, we grow a few veggies, would grow more if I could…
Went out early with my friend & her dog, got quite a bit of cleaning done, although a fair bit of that time seemed to be rescuing spiders & taking them outside! Very wet here this afternoon, the farmers will be pleased…Another extended FD here to get into the wiggle room, a few days away the week after next, so don’t want too much to go back on…
    Have a good evening 🥰

They didn’t say anything about a different prescription or even the existing one. The stuff I ordered as just arrived, pretty quick that only ordered it this afternoon. May need some rawl plugs the screws look a little smaller.Hope the screw extractor works. Will try it tomorrow afternoon. Lots of rain today so no painting done outside. The house is in turmoil boxes everywhere can’t move for them.

    Hemmy..
We have had rain on and off but we had two dry walks..
I went local shopping change of plan..so no chippy…

    Hedgehog..
Spiders!!! OMG couldn’t be coping with them…good luck on trying to loose a bit more.. I feel as if I am free wheeling ..trying but not to hard!

    Dave..
You sound very upside down.. that’s the only trouble when decorating and doing jobs..

    Jean x

Good morning everyone I’ve lost 4lbs this week so very happy with that. 13lbs to go to my target then I’ll think about setting another target.I will never get to what the NHS says is a healthy weight. If be going back to my school days to get to that. Bowling the next three days so I don’t mind a drop off rain too slow the greens down. All the experienced bowlers like fast greens but I like slow heavy ones. Jean soon be on holiday, bet you can’t wait I’ve still got 8 weeks to go. So no holiday feeling yet thankful… HH you have worked so hard to reach your target so really well done. The sun is trying to come out but if I put suncream on it will go in 🤣 see you all later.

    Morning All..
Walked with Natalie it will be 6 weeks till we see her again, my holidays and hers..

Faffing with holiday things.. just decided I better take more euros out with me, it’s hard to judge. I will get that next week.

Chippy lunch.. take the boy with me he has a bit of mine..I shall eat it in the car…

    Charlie’s fitbit isn’t working I think I will call a day on it… it’s been nice having it these last 5 years..monitoring his miles…

    Dave..
It is really good seeing you goal in sight, last stone to loose.. you have done brilliantly.
Is it 4 or 5 stone you have lost…
I think you have lost the most in our little group. It must be very much healthier for you. 🤩

    Jean x

Jean I was 24st 11lb and now I’m 17st 13lbs so 2 more pounds and it will be 7 stone lost. Got slaughtered at bowls 21-3.Ib have had a very bad run of players that’s are numbered one for their team. If I get someone who’s average like me I win most of them. But I have no chance of beating three top players.I have beat a couple of them on a very bad green🤣. It does help when you lose weight , spurs you on and now I have a target that I thought was unreachable in sight. Mess to lose it preferably before I go on holiday.

    Dave…
Goodness time flies…7 stone is unbelievable ..that is really a lot…a very big well done…x

    Good afternoon everyone. Xxxx

Its a better day today although the sun is iffy at times, no rain.
We had an earlier walk as I needed go to the Post Office in Brackley ..Parking is sometimes difficult in town if the Mercedes people are on their lunch time… but ok today.
I called in Tesco on the way back just for a sandwich.. brie and bacon.. I wish I hadn’t bothered lol .. the bread Soo very dry,, disappointing, At the moment I don’t feel like anything else to day .lol so that’s good at least lol.

Just got my watering instructions from my neighbour I am on watering duty from this Saturday for a week. Loads of fresh Lettuce and radish for me.

Dave.. Well done on your 4lb lost that’s wonderful. Where is your holiday booked.

H H … you are doing so very well you will be having loads of wiggle room lol.

Sym Its better to be well prepared with taking plenty of Euros .. Not long to wait now.

I hope every one is having a good day…. Beauty is everywhere. You only have to look to see it.. Xxxx.

    Afternoon!
Dave- that’s fantastic, really well done 👏 It’s brilliant how much you’ve lost… Shame about the bowling!
Jean- ooh, chips today instead, that’s nice! How many miles had Charlie clocked up?
Hope everyone else has had a good day…
Did our shopping today, had hoped to weed the drive but it’s been too showery. Shortened two pairs of trousers instead, I hate sewing anyway, but even worse when I’ve not eaten! Bacon & eggs soon… Exciting times for my boys- eldest has seen a house he likes, going for a 2nd viewing & taking his gf’s dad along to look as it needs work, as long as no offers in the mean time (very weird system nowadays, the estate agents seem to do all the viewings & it seems hard to get appointments?!) Youngest has had dress uniform fitting ready for passing out parade, I thought they were doing a demo so might not have got dressed up…
Have a good evening everyone 🥰

    Hemmy..
We have had showers off and on today.. put my fleece and rain coat on for pm walk it was so warm…
Kicking my heels a bit now.. so much to do but too early.. start after the weekend… hygienist tomorrow…

    Hedgehog..
I haven’t been to chippy for a while.. it was delicious as usual, price going up nearly £10
    😬
Charlie has clocked up just under 15,000 miles in 5 years..I usually do 3/4 of what he does…
Shall you be going to his passing out parade?
Good luck on the house for your son…

    Jean x

Good morning everyone up early, I’ve painted one door but it’s too wet to do the front door. I’ll do two more doors when I come home from bowling. I’ve just been brushing Chloe she seems to enjoy it, the other dogs didn’t. Got lots of hair off her bit she dosent malt lime Heidi the German shepherd, her hair used to be all over the house. Just having a cuppa then I’ll take Chloe out

    Hello everyone!

Niece and nephew have gone home and I am nicely and worn out. We are heading out in about 20 minutes but I wanted to jump on and say, hi!

Brads27 – congratulations on such a great weight loss. 🎉🎉🎉 Sorry about your loss with bowls. Fingers crossed it’s better next time.

Jeans – I do love Blondies. Have not had one in a while. 😊

Hope everyone is having a good day today.

Look forward to catching up with you all on Saturday!

I managed to win today played a top team and we won 7-1 . So they want happy because we’re 4th from bottom 🤣. Her bowlers really short so when I got the jack I bowled long. But I did win quite a few of the shorter ones. We won’t win tomorrow we play a team near the airport that are also second from top on the league. Tea time.

    Evening All..
I have had a lovely day with my step daughter Louise, we have been out for lunch and had a good afternoon.
    So no fast day…
    Friday.. coffee morning with Christine..

    AutumnSky..
Sounds like a busy week with your niece and nephew.. sometimes it’s nice to give back 😂
    Have a relaxing weekend.

    Dave..
Well done on winning bowls… I usually listen and you hear I don’t like short ones, so I throw short..
I stand behind the one playing and see how the ground is playing others stand by talking.. I think it helps…

    Have a good weekend everyone…

    Evening!
Jean- glad you had a nice day with Louise 🥰
Dave- well done with the bowling, nice to beat a better team! How’s the painting going?
AS- peace & quiet again? Did you go to Wales or is that this weekend?
Hemmy-hope your post office trip was okay … Did you look in any charity shops while you were out?
Nana- have you been to visit your Auntie today?
Picked up our new glasses today, all okay. Fasting today, resisted the cheese shop/ deli when we went past 😇
Going out to look at some static caravans at a site near a nice beach tomorrow, thinking about a change of lifestyle!

Jean I stand behind the player who is bowling and try and see the line of the bowls. Its and absolute must.I will pain the door again when I get back from bowling then tomorrow start with the wallpaper. Not looking forward to that, I don’t feel as secure on the ladders like I used to do when I was younger. HH brilliant on your weight loss you have worked so hard for it. Nana you lose consistently and your plan works so keep on doing it. AS how are you doing, the beauty of the fast diet is it’s interchangeable so you can mix and match your days or even have a week or two break then come back to it. I’m trying to lose just one pound per week. The first week I gained the second week I lost 4lbs so it is trial and error.Busy now just had a shower so will get dry hands a cuppa then take Chloe out before going to Sainsbury’s shopping then a drive to pick up two people then off to bowling near the airport. So a drive down two motorways to get there.

    Good morning everyone.. Xxxx

It s a beautiful day .. the wind has dropped today.

Busy cutting back shrubs in the garden .. they have grown so high with the months of rain and now the warmth.

Weight back to target .. its easier in the warm weather with no yearning for warm comfort food.

A S.. Continue to enjoy your work break this week.

Nana .. I hope you are enjoying the sunny days.

Dave…Good luck with your game today.. The best can always be beaten.

H H … No charity shops for a while lol I need to sort out my stuff for charity .lol. A caravan by the beach sounds wonderful.

Sym.. Lovely to have time with your stepdaughter .. lot of memories to share. Enjoy your coffee morning.

Enjoy your day everyone.. Happy Friday! Let’s be a rainbow in someone else’s cloud.” Xxxx

    Hedgehog..
Sounds exciting the new life change, static caravan….good luck on the viewing hope it goes well.. well done getting in your wriggle room, you have been very consistent.

    Dave..
Hope the plan of a pound a week works not much left to loose 😁
Decorating does get tricky as we get older, I was extra careful up the ladders…

    Hemmy..
Well done being back to target.. I always seem to struggle I am a bit lazy I think!
    I must try harder! 😂

    AutumnSky..

Back from bowling the team we played are 2nd from the top were 4th from the bottom but we beat them by 2 points on their green. I played a lady called Sylvia. She had no luck at all, I bowled my 1st bowl and it finished 6 inches from the jack she bowled her first one and beat mine, my 2nd bowl was about a foot past the jack and she bowled her second and knocked her own winning bowl out and gave me 2🤣🤣🤣I said to her I’m going to do the lottery tonight. So I’ll do it now. I won 21-7 so over the week I came out winning.Poached eggs , sausage and bacon for tea, not had anything to eat today so I can have toast as well.

    Afternoon everyone!

We managed to grab a two night stay near Porthcawl. Little bit in the middle of nowhere for us, but beaches are nice. Hubby and I love it, the children, not so much. Little more expensive then we had liked.

Took my laptop with me, so worked a bit last night and this morning.

Had a long phone call with one of my friends who has ‘retired’ (she is 55). Her husband said if she retires early he will work and she can enjoy her retirement. He is 54. Apparently things are going great. She used to be a primary school teacher. Not sure if she is actually claiming a ‘pension’, and if she is, I’m not sure how much she will have in the pot for later years. Don’t know if it’s the cynic in me or not. But what happens if her husband decides he doesn’t want to be with her anymore? What is she going to do then?😨

Right now we are trying to find a fish and chip shop. Dread jumping on the scales when I get home. But, I walked around 9k steps yesterday and so far I have done, 6,000.

    Have a great day all!

I’ve done 7000 steps today still got to take Chloe out again. It’s a nice sunny day now was a drop off rain before. I was 61 when I retired, best thing I have ever done. It’s amazing how many of my friends and workmates of similar age to me have sadly passed away. At least I’ve had 10 years of my pension from work. Every day is an holiday now. Can just do and go where we please when we please.

    Morning All..
A good hot day ahead..case will be out, lots of things to be done, I suppose just work through them all..

My daughter is a nightmare, plans change daily!
Two grandsons have decided to join us here instead of flying home to Texas, so she is looking at change of flights. Very tight squeeze in my car, not much to do here in a small village, bored springs to mind. Lovely yes but !!!!!!. … two beds short..oh dear…

    AutumnSky..
Love it in the middle of nowhere, peace and quiet. Naughty taking your laptop!!! Hope the chippy was nice, makes it easy… I retired at 60 before it all changed…76 now..

    Dave..
Sad how many people are passing, I was only talking about that yesterday. It really shows our age.

Good morning everyone. Xx Its a beautiful day Xx

I was out at 7am.. to my neighbours in my dressing gown to open up green houses. Watering later lol

For a while I have been taking a table spoon of Olive Oil every morning to help my aching knee joints .. the last few days I have noticed a big difference… I am not so stiff.
Years of out walking in all weather hasn’t helped I expect…oh and age lolol

Sym… I know what you mean about younger ones changing plans all the time.. .. Kristy does.
I expect we have got set in our ways not so flexible. I think living alone and having to do everything ourselves we like a routine of sorts so we know where we are.
At the end of the day I expect your Grandsons wont care where they sleep .. to us its thinking .. bedding.. extra food which we hadn’t thought we needed.

I try to think of my Andrews favourite saying . ” Just go with the flow Carol ”

Not sure what to have for dinner .. not feeling very hungry in this warmer weather. Maybe a cheese salad fruit platter… Nice and easy .

Enjoy your day everyone.. Saturday is the day for doing things that make you happy .
    Xxxx
