  • Fudge yyyuuukkk.Caramel😋😋😋😋😋😋😋. If I buy a tub of sweets I pick out all the fudge and give it to Denise she loves it. Good luck with the weigh-in tomorrow I have every faith in you. Painted the door it’s Ronseal so it will need 2 or 3 coats😬. It will take a while to do all the decorating, got to do almost every room. Wrote out a letter to the bank about the roofers will post it tomorrow. It’s been a lovely day again, I’ll be getting a good sun tan with all this bowling.I played a lady called Meg today she best me 21-17 they had 5 ladies on their team, very unusual but they were all good players. We won the match by 5 points in the end.

Evening! Page has turned so sorry if I forget someone!
Dave- nice to get your front door sorted, how much more indoors to do? Did Denise get some bandages? Well done with the 1lb off!
Jean- wow, you have been busy, where do you find the energy?! You’ll be needing the holiday…
Hemmy- do you have much watering to do , it’s been so dry…are you growing any veggies or will your neighbours give you some?
AS- what made you give up teaching? SEND teachers are so needed…in Suffolk where I am the SEND provision is so poor, all the HomeStart families I’ve worked with have had a terrible time getting the children school places & even then it’s not good 😢 Hope that your weigh-in is good tomorrow!
Nana- how’s your week been, have you been getting into holiday mode?
We were out yesterday & then youngest son came for dinner in the evening, had fasted up until then. Today was really chilly, we had eye tests & then were going out for lunch at the riverside pub but not nice enough. Poor hubby had something shown up on his eye scan so has to go back next week, & we both need new glasses. Made him a steak & kidney pudding, comfort food! I fasted again. Had to whizz over to youngest’s this evening, he said he was feeling really ill & asked if I’d come & cook his dinner…not like him at all, was worried he was delirious, it was weird…he has tonsillitis!
    Weighing in tomorrow too…🤞

    Morning All…
Seems a better day we had the North wind blowing it was very chilly yesterday ..
Meeting up with Natalie and Oreo for our walk at 9am.

Starting our Petanque singles tournament, I start my match pm.

I weighed in the same, big meal out and Guinness so I am pleased I held my own. I find these last few pounds stick..

    Dave..
Fudge is lovely you don’t know what you are missing.. well done on your game it was a close finish.

    Hedgehog..
Hoping your son is feeling better today, has he been to doctors it’s a worry if he has a fever.. hubby too, hope he goes on well..

    AutumnSky..
You will be looking forward to half term as my daughter is.. I like catching up with her we get out for lunch just us, it’s nice. Nice to get a few days away Wales is lovely. Good luck on your weigh in .

    Hemmy..
I got a few books given too, I have put three away for holidays..different author.. my grass needs cutting I can’t quite call it a lawn 😂..
A few jobs lined up over the weekend holiday stuff and lawn, freshen my back bedroom bedding.
    Enjoy your garden.

    Nana..
    How are you doing?

    Jean x

Morning everyone, and it’s a chilly one here.
Managed to lose the pound that I’d gained last week so pleased with that considering I’d had an extra lunch out this week. Maybe upping my daily calorie allowance by 100 has helped. Geraldine has been on quite a few outings this week also. OH had a physiotherapist appointment on Tuesday at a hospital in Cambridge which wasn’t at Addenbrookes but another entirely different part of Cambridge and as parking there is limited we decided to use the guided bus into Cambridge City Centre and catch a connecting bus to this hospital, as they say the best laid plans etc because it turned out that the bus was unable to go there because of a power problem found on the road to the hospital and UK power network had closed the road completely so we walked to the hopital there and back a Total of almost four miles in all. What was really annoying was that there was a hole on one side of the road surrounded by barriers and not a workman in site.
Hedgehogs hope you’re son is feeling a little better and that your husbands eye problem is sorted out quickly. It’s amazing how the condition of your eye health reveals things, one of my friends eye test revealed that she had high cholesterol. Yes I’m starting to get in the holiday mode even though we don’t go until Monday.
Dave getting a few games of bowls in, well done on losing a pound. As I’ve said before we hate decorating, so we’ll done for getting on with yours.
Hemmy glad you enjoyed the visit with Kristy.
Autumn Sky, my OH’s cousin was a primary school teacher for most of his working life but ended being a supply teacher because he was fed up with all of the paperwork and form filling that started needing to be done. Also my eldest grandsons girlfriend is a primary school teacher and she does work long hours.Enjoy your well deserved time away.
Jean not long until your holiday, time goes so quickly these days. Hope the Petangue goes well.
We went to Ely as usual yesterday and before doing our bit of shopping and visiting my Auntie we pop into a pub for a drink ,coffee for me and a pint of lager for OH, when we went in yesterday there were a couple celebrating their dogs birthday and they’d hung bunting up around with Happy Paw Birthday on it, the birthday dog had a birthday hat on and also a bandana saying it’s my Paw Birthday on it ,there were also about six of his doggy friends there also ,the noise was horrendous so we went somewhere else, don’t get me wrong we love dogs but a party in a pub for it’s birthday.
Auntie was 92 last Saturday and is still as bright as a button.
Usual meet up with friends this evening and Chinese takeaway is planned.
Enjoy the rest of your day everyone.
    Nana xxx

Beautiful day yet again here. Bowls at 1pm, will see if I can win today for a change. Playing at home so I know the green. It will be faster than normal so I better be careful.Chloe is asleep on the sofa with the sun shining on her😂. I’ve got a portable pressure washer, just charged the battery so I’ll wash the car when I get back from bowling.

    Afternoon All..
I won two games out of three at Petanque so I took the match, now to quarter finals.

Just looked at my watch and spilt half a cup of tea over me, I forgot I was holding it..I was reading my phone 😂

    Nana..
Well done on moving the pound. That was a good walk to the hospital..hope he soon improves.
Enjoy your evening and your Chinese meal.

    Dave..
Did you get your car washed, how was the new pressure washer?

    Have a good weekend everyone..

    Jean x

Jean not done it yet, got back from bowling and took Chloe out, had to post a letter to the bank about them roofers. Then I made my tea. So will have a cuppa then try it out. Front door needs doing again and maybe even a third coat. It should last forever having deluxe and Ronseal protective paints.

    Evening!
Jean- well done with the boules & good luck for the next round!
Dave- how was your bowling? Hope the washer is good for your car, should make it easier!
Nana- well done losing the pound…& the walking, good hubby was able to with his bad back! Doesn’t encourage people to use the bus! Your Auntie is doing so well…
Hemmy- awful fire your way, so sad 2 firemen lost their lives…
Son said he’s feeling a bit better, he managed to go in today & passed his assessment, just 3 weeks to go. It’s been chilly here again apart from first thing when Xena & I had a lovely new walk, more bluebells! Blood test done, hair cut & coloured, cleaning done…Eldest, his gf, & Mum are coming for a BBQ tomorrow.
AS-hope you’ve had a good day & enjoy your weekend off!

    Hello all!!!!!

A great day today. Left work late, but feeling good. Was 2lbs down this morning, so now 28lbs to go. I was a little peeved as it wasn’t the 3lbs I wanted, but then I realised I’ve lost almost a bag of flour, so I did pretty well.😁

It’s so nice to read that many of you have family members who are in education as teachers.😍

We have not touched our garden in months, and the weeds are as tall as me. We booked a gardener for next weekend to clear the entire garden for about £400. However, I believe he will be crying for more once he gets started. If you have watched ‘Creep Show’ by George A. Romero, the one with the man who opens a meteorite and all the gunk comes out and turns his farm into a marsh, that’s what our home looks like. It’s really bad. 😱

Right now my family are indulging in stir friend noodles and chicken, with prawn crackers. I am having tuna salad. I want to keep the momentum going and not undo all my hard work. I am a total of 9lbs down.

I will aim is for another 2lbs loss next week Friday.

Thank you all for your encouragement this week. It has really helped me stay on track.

You’re doing so well AS, Don’t be in a rush, it’s much better to lose slowly that way it stays off.I won at bowls today and the portable pressure washer is great, cleaned the car and it looks just as good as when I have it done at the car wash.My mate is asking about it, he’s fed up of getting the karcher out do I said I’ll take it round to his house on Sunday so he can try it himself.

    Morning all,

I have been up for a while trying to catch up on work before I’m out and about today.
I decided to jump on here early so as not to miss my daily catch up with everyone.😊

Will be out shopping and then a trip to a family friend for another birthday celebration (I never realised the extent of the ‘celebrations’ I have attended and ended up gorging myself on the food or picked here and there).

Brads27 – Absolutely, slow and steady wins the race. Thank you!
Congratulations for winning at bowls! I believe pressure washers are quite versatile. The gardener arriving next week said that’s what he will be using to get the weeds out of the cracks. How is Denise doing?

Nanafixit – Congratulations on losing a 1lb! Always nice to have something to look forward to like a holiday. Are you taking any books with you?

Jean – Well done for getting to the quarter finals!

If I don’t get a chance to jump on later, I do hope you all have a good day.😀

Denise is still hobbling around but her left leg is showing signs of improvement. She as to have another test on her right leg in July, the week before our holidays. It’s a dull day here very cloudy and 10°C, Going to the bank for Denise, there are no banks near by anymore so got to drive to the nearest one. They’re used to be four or five banks within walking distance.Pubs are going the same way. Was lots of them now only about 5 close by.I was hungry last night so caved in and had toast so not a good day calorie wise.

    Morning All…
Across the fields walk back tracking a bit… harvest is nicely growing, the blackberry bushes are getting flowers on..house-martins have decided to come back, a couple of weeks late…a cloudy start but it’s improving now.

    Dave..
Well done on getting the front door painted, it’s always good once you start. I am still thinking of doing my kitchen sealant, my painting clothes are in my bedroom now,
Glad Denise is improving a bit it’s a long job.
    Hoping the roof gets sorted.

    Hedgehog..
Glad your sons improved enough to get his assessment passed, hope he soon feels better.
Bluebells seem to be a bit late now..?

    AutumnSky..
Well done on the 2lbs off…7 lbs is great gives you motivation.. I like the sound of your garden 😂
Enjoy your day out and celebrations (and food).

    Nana..
Well done on you 1lb off..Auntie is doing very well it’s not nice on your own.

    Hemmy..
What are you up to today? I bought myself some ribeye and new potatoes for tonight.

Have a good weekend whatever you are doing..

    Jean x

Good afternoon everyone.. I hope the sun is shining with you. Xxx

Its a lovely day again after yesterdays cloud. It was a good Temp though for the garden.
Its really beautiful out there at the moment soo much blossom this year. .. I have two massive ..orange blossoms and they are smelling wonderful.. just by my bench i sit to read..

Its so sad in the area as there has been a bad fire at the Heritage Centre in Bicester 2 Firefighters died. And one other .. Xx

Scales were good this week ..the pound I put on last weekend has gone..

4 months 1week.. today no wine. and not missing it one bit… how very strange .lol

Nana… Well done on your pound loss. Its been a busy week for you.

A S .. Well done on your 2lbs loss . That s brilliant ..Keep up the good work this next week.

Dave.. So pleased to hear Denise is feeling some improvement in her leg it would be lovely for you both to have the holiday.

H H .. Enjoy your BBQ today .. hopefully lovely sunshine for you. Well done to your son for passing his exam especially not feeling A 1 .

Sym.. Your meal of rib eye sounds wonderful. .Garlic prawns and stir fry for me.. same tomorrow .Easy food.

    Enjoy your afternoon everyone.

Take time for the little things that bring you joy today. Xxxx

    Hemmy..
It’s a lovely part of the season I bet your garden is lovely, I could imagine how it is with an old cottage.

My steak was so yummy, I had caramelised onions, new potatoes and salad.. unfortunately some more of my red wine which I opened yesterday..it’s a while since I had wine, thinking the holiday mode is starting to drop in.

It is so sad on the deaths, I wonder how it happened and started.

Enjoy your garlic prawn stir fry..

    X

The front door still needs at least one more coat maybe two. The cup finale is not going well from my point of view but I suppose it would be nice for Palace to win their first ever trophy. My son as gone to Stoke this afternoon, just sent me a picture of a statue of Lemmy.Chilli for tea tonight late tea because of the cup final.

Good morning everyone, the sun is out again. Will it be another 1976 summer? Definitely the best April I can remember. Going mad with food, got to reel it in. Think I need to plan my meals that will help. Taking my pressure washer too mate’s house so he can have a try with it. He’s got a karcher pressure washer but likes the idea of a portable one. He asked me to send him a link so I said I would bring it round so he could see it in action.Much cooler without hair, just shaved it all off, didn’t take long to do🤣. What are you all up to today? Homemade pie for tea Denise said she was not paying over £20 for a piece of beef.

    Afternoon All..
    Cool day here…
I have been writing lots of birthday cards for the year and doing money envelopes then wrapping in Xmas paper… already for Katie to take home to Texas… still it’s a big lump of my Xmas presents!

Less than three weeks to holidays… hoping everyone gets there without delays. There will be 9 coming from Texas and me… 5 will depart back to Texas after the first week..

    Dave..
Like you have been on an eating spree for a couple of days, I do think it makes you more hungry the more you eat. Snack today back fasting tomorrow.
    Enjoy your pie tonight..

    Jean x

Yes must start cutting down. Door painted again but still different look right. It’s had a coat of Duplux protective paint and two coats of Ronseal so I don’t think it will rot any time soon. Will try a third coat of Ronseal and if that’s dosent work I’ll buy normal paint.

    Evening everyone!

It was a great day yesterday. Did not overeat, and did manage to have a few things here and there. Woke up this morning a little puffy, as the food was very salty and I did have a lot more starchy food than I usually do.

Brads27 – Good to know the Denise’s leg is getting better. Agree about the banks we had quite a few in our area but it’s all online banking now. I have so many pin numbers and logins, which ‘I’m a little fed up with, as I have to remember so many different ones, not to mention email addresses. I know what’s it’s like to over eat. Maybe prepare meals for a few days to get you back on track.🙂

Hemmy – I read about the fire and the loss of lives. Very sad situation.
Will done on abstaining from the wine and for reaching the point where it’s no longer a thought.

Jean – You must be so excited about going on holiday. It may be hot enough here by then for it to be as hot as abroad.

Hope everyone is having a good day.

    Morning All..
    Fast day for me…

Must move soon the boy will want his walk..
I am not sure what I am doing today, see what it brings.

Jacqui and Philip have asked me to go on an October cruise in half term, I am thinking about it… to France and mostly Spain… more a break then chasing the sun. It’s expensive 🤷‍♀️

    Dave..
Sorry the door is taking time, it’s a pain when things don’t work well..

    AutumnSky..
I only like up to 24 degree tops no hotter…
My daughter, Katie lives in Texas so the catchup in Tenerife is lovely family time.. she used to come home for 5 weeks but now the family are older we have started having a proper holidays together. She will come back with me for 10 days with granddaughter the others will go back home, hubby to work, grandsons back to friends they soon get bored!
    Have a good day..

    Jean x

    Good morning everyone. Xxxx

Its another beautiful one .. an early start for us walking today as its shopping and lunch in Leamington Spa with Pam.

Tomorrow Garden Centre monthly lunch with Chris so again an early walk. .. Awful I know but I would be happier in the garden lolol.

A S .. It sounds like you had a good weekend with food .. Yes I think it s the starchy stuff that’s the biggest problem..
    Good luck this week.

Dave.. Any more news on the roof situ.

Sym.. Oh it sounds like the holiday mode is with you . I bet its lovely when you all meet up together ..

Better get over the fields with Pip … Enjoy your day everyone.

Think you can and you will. Xxxx

No news yet about the roof, We have sent a letter to the fraud department of the bank and citizens advice have done the same, so it’s wait and see now. Don’t know what will happen next if I don’t get any joy. A dull day today bowling match later and going to speedway with my cousin tonight. I don’t see him very often so that will be good. Chloe never had anything to eat yesterday not like her but most dogs have days when they don’t eat, she was whining for her chews but didn’t give in to her so she should be hungry now.

I could go on the cruise there are a few cabins.. no places at kennels for Charlie 😢.. so that answers my question..to go or not to go..

    Hemmy..
Yes getting in the holiday mode..coming fast now.
I have been across the fields out 11/2 hours, Charlie has only walked 50 mins, he’s been walking slow sniffing being lazy!! Hi Fitbit doesn’t log.
Enjoy your lunch tomorrow I often feel like that.

    Dave..
What a long drawn palava with your roof.. where do they live, have they got offices?
Enjoy your trip out to speedway.. hope Chloe is ok.

    Jean x

They have an office in Oldham I think. I’ll see what happens, been extremely lucky with the weather hardly had a drop of rain. We won at bowls today I didn’t play because I was at the speedway the last time we played and up be there same this coming Monday so I will be dropped again. Wednesday I’ll not be playing but will on Thursday and Friday.Denise is missing 6 items from her prescription, can’t get them anywhere but they are selling them in Amazon.Joke.

    Evening!
Dave- enjoy the speedway, nice to go with your cousin…poor Denise, bad enough with her legs & then not to be able to get her prescription…I hope you hear from the bank about the roofers…
Jean- a shame about the cruise, surprised that the kennels are all booked in October! At least you have Tenerife to look forward to…
Hemmy- hope you had a nice day out today, & enjoy your lunch tomorrow! The fire was awful, so sad…the fire service is alot safer than it used to be but still a risk, makes me worry about youngest son even more 😢
Nana- well done losing last week & enjoy your holiday!
AS- well done losing another 2lbs, & being restrained at the party! I’ve given up sugar & carbs, they’re not good for me 😂
Had a lovely BBQ on Saturday, stuck to keto & didn’t eat too much. Had a lazy day yesterday, been very busy today instead- got all the bedding plants & have done lots of summer pots. Weather was good, only supposed to last one more day…Fasting today.
    Have a good evening everyone!

    Dave..
Let’s hope the roof is soon sorted ..

    Hedgehog…
There’s only one kennels I would use, I wouldn’t go to any other…it’s school holidays that is the problem.
I need new decking and a new sofa so maybe it’s for the best, but not yet..
Well done on all the plants it’s hard work.

    Jean x

    Good morning everyone Xxxx

Its going to be a warm one today. Earlier walk again this morning. .

It will be a good lunch at the Garden centre today.. always tasty daily specials .. we can sit out in the gardens which will be lovely.

I am still tired from yesterdays with walking first.. 7 hrs out in all. I must make sure I don’t do consecutive social days out in future .

Dave.. How is Chloe today .. they are a bit like children can still eat treats when off their main food.

H H … Well done with your fasts .. How is your son … Yes I expect these fires are a worry for relatives of the brave fire brigade.

Sym.. what are your plans for today… working or relaxing.

Enjoy your day every one. Xxxx

“Happiness is not by chance, but by choice.”

    Morning All..
Lovely river bank walk with Natalie and Oreo..she is away for a week now…

Petanque at 1.30 .. we are playing 11 people only one space left.. we seem to be getting busier. Hoping it’s better than last week it was a fiasco!!

    Hemmy..
A long day yesterday for you, enjoy your lunch today.
Relaxing morning for me, just some veggies to cook for Charlie…

    Jean x

Played safe and bought Chloe a box of fish fingers but she was a little madam had to feed her by hand. Would have been alright in Roman times sat on in the sofa hand fed🤣. I’ve done 7000 steps already and Chloe’s only been out once to the park. My legs are aching and I feel tired. Ordered more paint for the front door Oxford Blue this time. I said to my neighbour the door will last much long than me with all the protective paint it’s had on it.I would love to walk down a river or a canal, they’re was a canal 100 yards from our house which crossed our street but they filled it all in😡.Denise and I walked down the canal at Marple and past all the locks. We used to get a train to Marple then walk down the canal to Romily.

    Evening!
Hemmy- hope you’ve had a nice lunch out today & aren’t too tired! Son is better now, thank you.
Jean- shame about the kennels, I forgot Jacqui would have to go in half term…hope the Petanque was better today?!
Dave- did you look into the small claims court & what you have to do for that, if you don’t get any joy with the bank for your roof it might be worth a try? Glad Chloe is eating again, very spoilt! 🥰
Nana- enjoy your holiday, hope the weather holds…
AS- hope you’re still keeping strong at work!
Had a nice surprise today, tried a few old clothes on (from my ‘slimmer’ wardrobe), & quite a few fitted, so that’s good. Went to a garden centre, bought a new top in the vintage shop on site, & have bought some dwarf conifers to replace some box shrubs which have blight. We took them out this afternoon, but had to paint the shed which was behind them, so couldn’t get them planted…weather is supposed to change tomorrow so not sure when we’ll get them in.
    Still fasting…

    Hello everyone!!

Jean – Your summary of your family holidays and everyone meeting up is so lovely to read.

Hemmy – Believe or not, going to the garden centre and cruise hill many years ago, used to be our days out. We would spend the day around the sheds. Then we would grab something to eat and head to Capel manor, we would drive for hours. We also used to do strawberry picking which was awesome and we used to eat so much (that memory just came to me).

Hedgehog – It’s so hard to give up carbs, they are everywhere! I have tried to cut out a few things hear and there, but every now and then, I will crave a slice of bread. This morning for no reason, I had an inkling for pastry. I don’t really like pastry.

Brads27 – Well done on the 7,000 steps with Chloe! She is keeping you active.😉

Finished work late yesterday and today. But, happy to be home now. I have chicken pieces with rice noodles and corn niblets waiting for me. I also have a small packet of mixed nuts waiting for me. I have to be careful, as I tend to go overboard with the nuts.

Doing well with keeping track of calories.

    Morning All ..
A lovely start again.. walking alone this morning not sure where yet…

Petanque was much better than last week, lost one and won two so we took the match.

Going for a pedi at noon change of polish for my holiday.

    Dave..
We have so many rivers and canals around here, I do love my area better than in the city. It’s 24 years since I moved here.
Chloe is a little madam having to be fed by hand!

    Hedgehog..
Well done getting into slimmer clothes such a motivation. Picking up a bargain too, I could do with a few strappy tops but can’t find any. You are getting the change of weather I think Saturday for us.

    AutumnSky..
You seem to work very long hours, don’t forget a work life balance!
We love strawberry picking, fingers crossed when Katie and Charlotte come back with me, Charlotte enjoys it (11years old), they do afternoon tea with scones and strawberries so always nice to go.

    Hemmy..
Hope your lunch went well yesterday..

    Nana..
    Enjoy your break…

    Jean x

I’ve gained 1.5lbs so must start fasting again I think. Not done it for over a year. To many biscuits. Got to go to the dentist today for a filling so not looking forward to it. The last one I had the dentist was like the shower scene from psycho she must have stuck the needle in my gum 8 or 9 times. I couldn’t feel my lip until almost midnight and I had it done at 10am. Same time again today. Chloe didn’t eat her food until midnight yesterday maybe it’s the hour weather, can’t give her salad🤣. Might try a liquid fast today, the filling will help with that. Bowling today and the rest of the week. Won’t be playing today though but will Thursday and Friday.I better get a move on traffic is bad at this time of day.

    Good morning everyone Xxxx

Its a warm dry start here but some showers forecast later.. We do need some rain though as my 3 water tanks in the garden are empty . I honestly cant remember the last time that happened.

Tired this morning.. after two earlier walks then out for a good few hours .. 4 traffic set of work lights from the village to Buckingham Garden Centre ..

I am so pleased as I didn’t realise it was a bank holiday again this week. It will be just doing basics inside and out in the garden weather permitting. ” In my favourite world” lolol I have turned into my Mum lolol

I am a pound up this morning so not to bad .. I think just plenty of good old homemade veggie soup today.
Its a cheats version really .. A can diluted with a can of water then loads of veg and herbs. It saves messing about with stock/ I don’t blend it just leave it chunky

A S Nuts are very moreish and its a job not to take a couple of handfuls instead of the recommended handful lol
Do you take the bank holiday off work .

Dave.. You can do this ..but dont go too drastic cutting down as you will then eat for England.
I hope the Dentist went well and they were gentle.

H H .. Well done on going down in size .. a new wardrobe .. Your vintage top sounds lovely.

Sym.. Ohh what colour nails did you go for this time.. Well done on winning your games.

Have a lovely day everyone doing what makes you happy. The man who moves a mountain begins by carrying away small stones.” Xxxx

I really could do with a cuppa, but not sure I could keep it all in my mouth, still numb my lip, but I’ll give it a go. No idea if I’ll have tea or not. The dentist was ok fairly Beautiful day yet again, think rain is predicted for Saturday.

    Evening!
Dave- hope your lip is okay now, good opportunity to go for a FD!
Jean- nice to get your nails done ready for your holiday…hope it’s nice enough to go strawberry picking with Charlotte when you get back, the cream tea sounds lovely! Just bought some English strawberries (only from Tesco’s!), the English ones have so much more flavour!
Hemmy- sounds like you need an easy couple of days after your socialising! It’s really dry here too, I’ve had to water most nights for weeks now!
AS- you definitely work very long hours! Love nuts too, peanut butter is a big favourite too!
Had an early jump on the scales, & 2lbs down! Did our shopping, it’s stayed dry to got the little conifers in. Saw Mum, she does love elastic support bandages & still had one on her wrist, but it seems fine now! Made her a dinner so popped round with that later, she hadn’t got anything out…son came for dinner, all better but he did end up being busy on call last weekend instead of resting! They were busy too, but if he’d not gone on-call they wouldn’t have had enough crew to go out. Does put them under pressure though… Hubby’s eye test tomorrow, 🤞 it’s okay.
Have a good evening everyone 🥰

Watching the football, Denise is shouting at the telly. 14 minutes to go. Just been out for the last walk of the day. Goes much cooler at night. Should have put a coat on. Been well behaved foodwise today having a filling helped.

    Hi there everyone!

Yes, the hours can be gruelling sometimes. No such things are holidays as there is always work to do.

Jean – I always try to keep the work life balance in my mind, but the work always creeps up on you, and with education, if you don’t do the work, no one else will and it piles up very quickly. But I do love it.🧡 Well done on your match.

Brads27 – You are working hard on the house, but it could be the extra biccies you might be having with your tea when you have a break 😁. Sorry to read about needing a filling. The last time I went to the dentist we had to pay £285 + tax for a filling and clean. It’s extortionate. Hope the numb feeling goes by tomorrow morning.

Hemmy – Nuts are my kryptonite. I recall finishing a large packet of dry roasted nuts (my favourite) from Co-op. It wasn’t just the fat content by the salt that impacted me. I now buy those small mixed fruits/nuts from Tesco.

Hedgehog – congratulations for the 2lbs down!😃 Good luck for hubby’s eye test.

Hope everyone has a restful evening.

    Morning All…
A rough nights sleep, Charlie very restless shaking down and circling all night… no idea why.

A dull day the weather on the change ready for rain on Saturday..

    I am fasting today..

    Dave..
Shame on the weight we all have these moments.. we have been doing it so long we have to take breaks. Hope the your mouth feels better today, a forced fast!!!

    Hemmy.
Lovely you can get lost in your garden get back to nature..I like the idea of cheats soup.
Nails were bright shocking pink with sparkles only on toes…
Looking to buy some gel polish to do myself, getting a bit pricey now, it’s getting down to do them and seeing 😂…my new eyes might be better!!

    Hedgehog..
I have bought English strawberries too, very tasty.
I was reading from a vet, squash a strawberry down and brush dogs teeth, it really cleans them and breaks down plaque.. I have some mush left from yesterday see how they go.. only says once a week! Good news on the 2lb off… I will be lucky to stay the same…

    AutumnSky..
Jacqui has had her computer out the last three nights, she is very busy too.. it’s not good after 9 hours at school/meetings.. she says she gets nothing done on the computer in the day as too busy..
Hoping you do something nice over the weekend…🤞🏻

Good morning everyone much cooler today. AS try and fit a break in if it’s only a weekend. Not good for you all work and no play. I used to do 60 hours every week but in the end I took early retirement. Best thing i ever did. Jean well done on the boules.I play in a cup game today on a neutral green. The glasses I got from Specsavers are very poor, they need to be lifted when I read it it’s not clear. The ones I got from Asda are 10 times better but they are sunglasses.I might go back to Asda and buy some varifocals. They are half the price of Specsavers and much better.Mince and tatties for tea tonight. Not sure how many calories are in that. I will weight it and work it out. Jersey royals with the meat😋😋😋. Maybe even butter beans Hemmy😀😃😄.

    Dave..
Take the glasses back to Specsavers they will adjust them for you.. don’t waste your money…
Good luck on your bowls game today.

Successful people keep moving. They make mistakes, but they don’t quit.” – Xxxx

I’ve decided to aim to lose just 1 pound po er week and see how that goes. I can eat more that way. Win at bowls so we’re into the next round of the cup. I won 21-9 so happy with that. It’s been a lovely day here again.Rain predicted for tomorrow. I’ve had the glasses for a year, they dig in on my nose, I’ve taken them back to be adjusted not it only lasts a week and then they fall down again. The Asda ones are great.

    Evening!
Dave- well done on the bowls win! If you can stick to eating a bit more & losing slower hopefully that’ll keep things steadier…
Jean- the nails sound lovely & summery! I have to keep my feet & legs covered, better for everyone 😂
Hemmy- oh dear, forgetting your prawns! I do a meal plan for the week & a list, I do still forget things though! I did think of you & the butter beans yesterday, none in our Tesco’s either! I wouldn’t worry, you’re not missing anything, despite what Dave says 😂
AS- good you love your job! Salted peanuts I could eat a whole packet of, not so much the dry roasted, although I do like them…
Hubby’s appointment was okay- they do want whatever is in/on his eye, sort of like a scratch, checked out, but not urgent. He wanted a treat tonight, so we’ve had a takeaway & he had wine, so won’t weigh tomorrow!

    Morning all..
Very chilly early looks like the sun is coming out now..

Meeting Christine for coffee and cake at a 11, I shall pop my flower trough to the cemetery as I am passing.

Two weeks to go to holidays, I will be up early then..😂

    Hemmy..
I often decide on a meal then I forget and do something different it must be our ages!!!
Enjoy your ‘holiday’ get in the garden..

    Dave..
Good idea to loose a pound a week more realistic , steady and slow. Shame on the glasses.

    Hedgehog..
Hope you enjoyed your takeaway.. it’s ages since I had one.. fish and chips is the closest I get!
Hope hubby eye can get sorted.

    Nana..
    Safe journey home..

    AutumnSky..
You will be looking forward to a long weekend..
    Will you get school holidays?

    Jean x

Good morning everyone. I’m going to the chippy tonight, cod or maybe haddock and I’m going to have potato scallops with it.I know which Jean would have but the cod is every bit as good as the haddock in this chip shop. They come from all over to get fish and chips,I drive a mile and a half even though they’re is a chippy about 500 yards away. They are that popular they have 5 serving you and two or three cooking so you get served very quickly. The sun is out so the cream will be going on especially my head as I have just shaved it. I’ve run out of all my pills so no aspirin today. I have ordered them online so should come soon. Hemmy I’m not saying butter beans are the best beans just different.I prefer baked beans but I do like all beans.

As can you work outside? On a laptop maybe, nice to get some fresh air.

Jean enjoy your coffee and cake nice to go out, HH be brave and get on the scales I bet you have lost. Nana are you homeward bound today?

Steve if you are lurking come back on and say hello.

    Good afternoon everyone. Xxxx

Its another beautiful day… hoping for a sunny weekend for all those that have worked all week.

I am still a pound up this week but I did have two lovely meals out and i don’t count calls I just have what I fancy.
This evening its my favourite.. Prawns on Jacket prawns and broccoli… I went to village Coop for the prawns i forgot yesterday lol.

Next week I will be hoping for rain as my neighbours are off for a week to Scotland on a fishing holiday. Its a very big plot with green houses… last year it was soo dry and needed a lot of watering as they grow a lot of veg.
I only have some tomato plants this year..

I have just picked a big bunch of orange blossom which smells glorious and pink peonies my favourite flower..

Dave.. Losing a pound a week sounds a good idea .. nice and steady and will stay off easier.
Cod and chips for tea wonderful .. perfect for Friday especially if done well. Enjoy.

H H Hopefully a good result for hubby s eye its good they don’t think its urgent if it isn’t bothering him.
Are you having any company this weekend for meals.

Sym.. Coffee and cake lovely .. what cake did you have lol .. nothing like a nice piece of cake. I haven’t made cake since Mum went.
I expect in the hot weather its a job keeping flowers alive at the cemetery or do you just do plants.

Enjoy your afternoon everyone. Xxxx .
Friday .. time to relax and enjoy. the weekend

    .

May you find moments that make you smile today.

    Afternoon All..
I have stayed the same this week.. still 2lbs from goal. Getting in holiday mode.. abandoned my fast day 😬

    Dave..
I could have been tempted with a chippy but I forgot and I have chicken out of the freezer…

    Hemmy..
I think we all could do with a bit of rain.. I have washed my car housemartins are lovely but mucky things..
Latte, chocolate mousse sort of cake and a Guinness.. sat outside it was lovely.
Just made some Australian crunchie Jacqui is coming up tomorrow she always bakes something so I did that.. we are going out shopping ish just looking and lunch, sandwich and coffee.
Have a nice few days off, it’s nice when we are hovering we don’t have to be so strict..

    Jean x

    Hello everyone!

I escaped early. Now I’m ready for the half term break!

Weighed in this morning and was exactly the same no movement. I know I was a little indulgent last night, but not too indulgent, enough to go over by about 450 calories. I also did not train as much this week and only managed between 4,000- 6,000 steps per day, if at all. It was a busy week with lots of late nights.

Jean – I hope your fasting went well yesterday. I have eaten a bit today (last day, lots of junk around). I only had a few crisps and a gluten free blueberry muffin (very nice).

Brads27 – I do love chip shop chips, nothing beats it. Hope you enjoy your meal. The one near our home gives very large portions. We share one between two and still have some left over. Cod is the family favourite. A little pricey here at around £16+ for cod and large chips. But a treat every now and then is great.

Hemmy – Today was a little like that for me. But I hope to get back on track tomorrow.

We have the gardener coming tomorrow. Hopefully, our home will no longer look as if we’re growing corn.

    I’m ready for a relaxing afternoon.😃
