Loz- good to do some exercise & keep busy on FDs! Your Mum’s done well with 5:2, I have to say just 2 FDs doesn’t work for me, I have to do more …
No Sahara dust here, I think we’ve escaped that! Tons of midges though, I have so many bites, every time I go outside I seem to get a couple more! Walked Xena early & a short walk for Enoch as it was just too hot. We whizzed to Tesco & got back before they closed the road for the Tour of Britain cycle race, we went & watched it, I enjoy that & we’ve been lucky it’s been in this area a few times! Have managed a FD, 750 cals, hard as I wanted to be in holiday mode, we away tomorrow for the weekend, weather looks good!

Horrible night, couldn’t sleep it was just too hot and Chloe was panting all night. I wet a towel and put it over her. That was ok for a while. Could have done with one over me 😁. Bowling again later.Last bowling until Wednesday.

Played bowls again it was roasting. The team won 8-0 so a good result. Going to Speedway tonight with my son.

Another very hot day but a nice breeze coming through the windows.

Early walk .. watering all finished neighbours back from a fishing holiday ..

I will mow the lawns later .. tomorrow going out to Sunday lunch with Pam . by the canal .. I love watching the narrow boats go by. It reminds me of the wonderful years Andrew and I had one . We spent most weekends on it when working took our old Springer spaniel Beau. Wonderful times

Kristy has lost a lot of weight in a short time.. .. No plan just basically cutting out all sugar stuff .. eating a chicken or fish meal with veg or salad and fresh fruit. .. Last night she tried a wine and said it tasted too sweet. Its also helped with a bad hip she has had after falling from a horse when small.

Jean could do with a thunder storm to clear the air, I darent hey on the scales I’ve been drinking milk shake non stop, had 2 litres yesterday plus a bottle of cider, been drinking milk on its own as well.Dont know how much electric the fans use but they have been on all week. I bought a cooling towel and it came yesterday, they are very good. Worth every penny.

Glad you had a good time away , lakes are in such a lovely place always so busy..it would be nice if they could sort your sciatica out for you.
I wouldn’t bother going to the States too many other lovely places, I go because of family and that’s all. Grand Cannon was lovely I cried and strangely I loved Vegas. Very strange and very expensive country, strange people nothing like us at all … I love India and if flying I would rather go to the East..
I am feeling porky that’s before I get there big push when returning home.

I will be texting when away our 3pm here is my 9 am so times will be out…

Relaxing day Charlie goes to the sitter tomorrow, I will then do what I have to without upsetting him.
Taxi confirmed 4.30am pick up Wednesday morning.

Evening everyone, hope you’ve all had a lovely weekend. The 60th birthday party we went to with the Elvis impersonator was good fun but it was so hot. All of the drink was provided and I enjoyed a few glasses of wine and then came home with three unopened bottles of white wine given to me by The birthday girl and OH came home with a few cans of beer.
We didn’t end up having Poppy on Sunday in the end as our eldest grandson who still lives at home had a day off work so was able to look after her.
Bronwyn glad you had a nice few days away and hopefully you’ll be getting a bit of help with easing the sciatica problems you’re having.
Jean not long now till your Texas visit.

That was quick HH, take a breath. Much cooler today only 15°C, Chloe will be happy after all the panting she’s done.I got bit at bowling yesterday,midges😫.itching and I’m trying not to scratch it. Going to Sainsburys soon will take Chloe out first.

Good morning everyone going to try my hardest to do a fast day today. Just one cuppa so far. Going bowling at 12-30 so that will help. I keep failing on fd’s so determined today.A nice sunny day here, think I’ll put my jeans on though don’t want the midges nibbling on my legs.

I always fancy a narrow boat,I could go fishing on the canal. And it’s really peaceful.Moor at a pub for the night🤣. Fast day going well 3 cups of tea and nothing else.

Evening everyone, a quick check in.
A busy day yesterday a visit to the Drs for an annual blood test and blood pressure test which was slightly raised so came home with a chart to fill out for a week.
Hemmy Wednesdays we cycle up to the guided busway and catch a bus into St Ives for our lunch so we’re both able to enjoy a drink. It’s a three mile each way cycle ride so a bit of exercise there.

Its a cooler day here today. Up early as today was conifer trimming and other shrubs. A lovely young guy.. its the 3rd year of doing them and his price hasn’t increased to my amazement.

While he was working I decided to Autumn / Spring clean my lounge. So a good mornings work all round. .

We did our walk later.. I had intended to trim the lawns but feeling tired now. Maybe tomorrow. lol

Mum would have said ” Carol you always overdo it ”

Making Mary Berry’s Tuscan chicken for dinner. 2 breasts of chicken . Its soo very tasty and easy .. will have one breast hot today with rice and veg then the other cold tomorrow with salad.

Morning All (6.30am here)

A good flight a big security check in US took over a hour when arrived, usually get through quicker.
We got home quick change to shorts and straight to a school football match.. only made the last half. They won!

Yesterday a lazy day day, said rain all day but just got a heavy storm while out shopping, roads soon blocked with water and we made our way back slowly, we were at the other end of the city. Desperate for rain none since June..

We sat in the garden from about 8pm till 12.30 midnight. Quite a bit of wine drunk… I love these balmy warm nights, with all the bugs singing.

We have rain about for the next two days, it doesn’t seem to last long.. we need two new white shirts for homecoming, so we will go and sort them today and she’s about sorted, expensive year as both need new suits, big displays of ‘mums’ for the two girls they will be taking, flowers, photo sessions and meal out on an evening.. ( I supposed a bit like school proms but to do with football, start of the season )
she’s spent over 1000 $ up to now …

What a lovely day beautiful for walking.

Soo tired today after yesterdays early full on day I did get my lawns done today so a good job done.

I still cant get excited about next weeks days away in Somerset. hopefully Pip will be ok.

Weight good I seem to be staying the same weight give or take a pound. I havnt bought anything to tempt me .. I know thats not easy when you have others to think about in the house.

Afternoon everyone, a busy week for me last week out every day. Weighed myself yesterday morning and I had lost a pound only trouble is now is that I’m starting to get into holiday mode.
My Aunt is slowly improving with her health which is lovely to see. A much larger Ely market and lots of people about as it was such a lovely day.
My turn to drive last night after collecting our Indian takeaway so saved a few calories.
Not heard anything from the Dr regarding my blood test so hopefully everything is okay.
Blood pressure chart being handed in on Tuesday morning so see what Dr has to say about that.

A big change in the weather here.. first time for ages s bit chilly… a dry walk but now raining.
At least no watering.

I am really not looking forward to these days away…it all seems a lot of effort to be honest.

Its not like me with events I am usually looking forward to things getting prepared.

Hopefully later in the week maybe when Kristy gets here Thursday I will feel more like it.

Its probably good we have paid completely as I think I may have cancelled. The cottage does look lovely and by the beach.

I just seem to have lost my enthusiasm for anything different. Maybe this is needed I will soon find out lolol.

Had a nice day out on Friday, did loads of cleaning on Saturday & saw Mum, she’d had a day out with one of her club’s so was full of that (& full of food, she’d eaten out, she loves her food 😂) Today was a lazyish day, although had a lovely long walk somewhere new with Xena this morning, & made a scrummy veggie Lo Mein tonight. Back to fasting tomorrow…

Shopping today & a pile of ironing, finally got round to getting a new cover for my board & it’s made such a difference! Made a lovely dhal tonight for dinner with spinach instead of rice, so have managed a FD.

Not a FD tomorrow, we might go out. Will be walking with my friend & her dog again, she’s doing jury service but doesn’t start until late. Never done jury service, has anyone else?

What an awful day here it hasn’t stopped raining all day .. a soaking walk. .

Hopefully our days in Somerset by the sea will be dry. Still not convinced about it but we will give it a try.

I think I will start leaving Pip for the day every time Kristy comes. He is always by my side .. I think Covid lockdown then losing Mum as he used to spend time in the garden with her we have become inseparable.

A friend of mine has sent pics from Madeira one of my favourite places .. I would like to go back for a holiday.

How is everyone doing with there fasts .. Yesterday I had a lovely lunch again with a friend we meet monthly at Buckingham Garden Centre .. Chicken and mushroom pie and veg ..beautiful no wonder its always busy .

My mates wife as just been picked for a coroner’s court. How strange is that. I’ve set up a WhatsApp group for the bowling club.It will save the captain ringing everyone up to pass on a message. We are in 2 cup games next week, only one more league game to play then the season is over.
