  • Lots of medication, average of one grand mal per month.
Is the fast diet a good idea? I’ve read that fasting strengthens the immune system and
aids your body to repair itself, maybe its possible to help yourself?? Anyone with advice.

    Hi Ann and welcome:

If I had epilepsy I would be eating a ketogenic diet: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ketogenic_diet

A ketogenic diet and 5:2 work well together. If you are not on a ketogenic diet, then 5:2 will move you a bit toward the effects the diet gives.

    Good Luck!

Thankyou for the information, will certainly check this out.

Are there any problems with Keppra medication and a 5:2 diet?
I have clinically difficult to control epilepsy. Since completing the Couch to 5K programme I have lost 5kg. Seizures are fewer. I need to lose 10kg at least and am hoping that 5:2 will turbo charge my diet.

    Thank you for the information
