I thought cream and chocolate were two of the foods which have zero calories?
And wine the third!
I do hope I’m not wrong!

CG is right, if you don’t have too much cream it’s not the worst dessert you could have. My sister makes the best pavlova I’ve tasted anywhere. No family occasion would be the same without it π
Milena, I like your thinking but sadly have to disagree, it’s not cream but ice-cream that has zero calories! π
Ha Milena funny girl!! But must admit after my lunch/wines yesterday that I’m happy to see my weight hasn’t gone up. Did have just a HB egg for brekky & a miso soup for dinner to balance it out so all good.
You keeping an eye on us simcoeluv cos you know we tend to be naughty?!
Barb I have metamucil every morning & sometimes on FD”s I have 2 lots to keep me regular. It’s a common problem of mine & if I don’t address it the weight loss doesn’t happen so well.
Jade my best effort at nasty tasting food was when we first got married. I had 2 leftover containers – 1 with a caramel sauce & 1 with leftover sauce from a casserole. Had chops the next night & added THE sauce over the chops the mashed potato even the vegies. Yup you guessed it turned out to be the caramel sauce! It was just gross & neither of us could eat it. They were much the same colour. Ha lovely on ice cream though!!
Oh Fit love reading your posts & hearing of your D just “popping” over to Paris for a few days. How wonderful that would be!!! We hope to re-visit Paris next year & would like to stay for a month if we can get a home exchange – otherwise too expensive. Your sister did give you a lovely dinner didn’t she – sounds yum.
GG been looking at nutribullets for a while & wondering about buying one. You’ll find some yummy recipes here on her blog as she just bought a NUtribullet & can’t say enough about it: http://www.claireturnbull.co.nz/ Not that you have to have a recipe but some of hers are delicious & different too. Especially like the Monkey Shake mmm.
CG your fridge soup sounds just right for the cooler weather & saves wasting stuff too. Hope you enjoy Stan – now that’s a loaded statement π
PH do hope you got to have another sleep. You’re having a hard time of it lately.
Welcome AA stick with us & you’ll find lots of support encouragement & help when you need it. Usually there will be someone around any time of the day as we have honorary aussies from overseas on our forum that are up when we’re not! Makes for great reading all day long. But for sure you must read the book.
Well going to have a light eating day today maybe 1200ish to get ready for FD numero uno tomorrow. Going to see 69 this week….do or die…nah not really, but will get there one way or another!!! π suejen XXXX
Well done, SJ on keeping to sensible eating on nfd. I’m sure you’ll see the 69s again this week. I’m afraid I’ve totally overdone it today so will try hard to balance things out tomorrow. I have my sister with dementia tomorrow and she has quite a poor appetite so a small dinner will suit us both. Loved your story about the mixed up sauces! π Yes it’s great to be so close to many European cities for short breaks. What time of year would you go to Paris, maybe I’ll be in France at the same time? How cool would that be? Do you speak French?
Hi all. Welcome AA -Annie. Gosh there are so many that my head is spinning trying to remember who said what. Barb, yes constipation is an ongoing problem with me. Like SJ I have Metamucil or rather Psyllum husks every day. Often 2 tsp three a day. I often have to resort to laxatives though. I eat lots of fruit and drink lots of water plus other fluids too. Lots of talk about Pavlova. Can’t remember who made it first but it was made in honour of the Russian ballet dancer Anna Pavlova. – think I got her name right.
Well that cost for repairing an iPad sounds exorbitant. I recently bought a new one -iPad 2 with 124 GB memory and it was just over $1000.00. I use mine for so many things and it also has cellular capability. Il probably use that while I’m away. I do have Skype but would need a WFI connection for that.
CG I should know better than to ask OH for the cricket, tennis results. He gave me the wrong results on both counts!
I’ve got my ducks in a row for tomorrow’s FD.
XX Doggy
HI Fit yes I speak enough French to do all the holiday stuff – get a room, order a meal, buy tickets etc. Can understand way more than I can speak. Did French for 6 years at high school but have brushed up with audio stuff before we have done previous trips. Sometimes I don’t even get taken as a tourist when asking about a room UNTIL they rapidly say the price & that stumps me. Then they sigh & get out the printed sheet and point to the number! Love speaking french & would love to go to classes but the classes down here given by visiting french workers are way too expensive for the locals. I reckon they think they’ll earn a lot of money on the side while holidaying/working here.
Doggie well done for being prepared already for FD tomorrow. Gee those iPads aren’t cheap are they. sj XXXX
Hi all.
Barb regarding the constipation. I too find that I need something on every non fast day to move things along. I do a green smoothie of a morning in a ninja..same as bullett. I have a leaf of young spinach and kale or whatever green I have in the garden. You can use baby spinach leaves and lettuce too. Cos lettuce is the best. Then a few pieces of frozen banana, frozen pineapple or mango, and a little bit of Apple. Top up with with either almond milk or coconut milk or coconut water or just water. Add a bit of ginger and mint and you have a lovely drink. I also add wheatgrass powder and some spirilina powder or maybe some goji berries or chia seeds etc to give it a boost. You can use basically anything you have mixed with water or milk to make smoothies. Just google smoothie Recipies and you will find heaps. Once you fine your favourite recipe then work out the cals and away you go. We live in blueberry country and can pick our own and so often have a blueberry and strawberry or rasberry with coconut milk…Yummy…
You can always make it the night before and have it ready in a container for breakfast if you get organised. Used to do that a lot when I ate breakfast..still do it sometimes if I am going to be out for the day but freeze it and then have it for lunch..
Mostly this is enough but sometimes feel the need to have some Metamucil , which is all natural anyway.
SJ about 8 months ago bought an iPad 2 as well and got new a superceded model for around 700.00. It also has cellular capability and I got an Amaysim SIM card and plan with 10gb of data that lasts 12 months for about 90.00 I use this when I am away from home and needing to connect to the Internet, so have coverage wherever I am. Find it great and can get coverage most places. My plan is about 8 months old now and have only used half of the data so far. I have it automatically set to access my home data whilst I am at home. Doing short posts as I have to scroll back up to read everyone’s posts. πππ
CG. Love the feeling you get when you have a tidy container cupboard. Sounds like you have had a very rewarding dayπππ. I do fridge soup also..great way to use up vegies ..some times I add a little bit of diced bacon to give it a nice flavour. Don’t need much.
SJ. How clever you are speaking French. Would have loved to have you with me when travelling. I tried to speak French but mostly the person I was speaking to would just laugh at me and we would manage to work something out through actions etc. love the story about the mixed up sauces. That sounds like something I would do..
Milena ..love the thinking about the calorie free food. Will have to add scotch to that list..πΉπΉ
Well hope you all continue to have a wonderful day. The sun is shining here and all is good with the world. We t out this morning for brunch with friends and then called in to Daughters for a quick visit and to deliver some plants from OH’s nursery. Wonderful lazy day. Now having a rest before going to the sewing room to plan some Interesting projects for next week. Do al little bit of ironing and then relax with the tennis once again. Aint life grand βοΈβοΈππΎπππ.. Talk to you all later maybe..
Hi Fit, we could do the European leg of the reunion in Paris!
My French was just schoolgirl, though I did learn from 7 until I was 16, mainly tapes, I’m so old they were on old fashioned machines that had to be manually wound. We had native French teachers at junior and senior school.
Became friends with a French girl, stayed in Provence many times, even had a French boyfriend at one time, and a few years ago got roped into a contract measuring and upgrading the stockroom of 28 GAP shops in Paris! As we always spoke English first, the manager in the very last shop told his staff, in French, not to let me into the stockroom, face was a picture when I replied, in French, that I was going to Bill him personally for a return trip if he didn’t get his skinny ass off his chair and show me where to go! Dunno if the French was perfect, but we certainly were able to communicate!
Sure we can find a cafe to Skye the Aussies, with the Eiffel Tower behind us! Don’t go by Ryan Air though, their Paris airport is nearer London than Paris. Well nearly!
Hi All!
Well, those scales were on fire this morning….. I had to jump off the minute I saw the number……eeek! I know it’s food in transit but there sure is a lot of it! Of course, it didn’t jump into my mouth of its own accord! So, I’ve given myself an uphill battle to lose anything this week over and above what I put on but I’m determined to prove worthy of belonging to this fab group, so I’m going to do my damndest to lose even .1!! π
CG, I had to laugh at your description of the chores lining up and ambushing you…… I had the same yesterday. I started off by changing my bed, that led to hoovering and dusting the bedroom, which led to cleaning the ensuite. Naturally on the way back up the corridor I hoovered and dusted it as well. Then I cleaned out and refuelled my stove which led to hoovering the living room as well. Of course, a load of laundry done too! So how did I manage to find time to stuff my face so much? It’s a talent, I suppose!π
PH, glad to see you’re back on top form π and that the sun is shining. Sounds like a wonderful day in prospect. Can’t wait to see what creative projects you come up with next xx
SJ, I’m loving learning French but there’s no way I’ll ever be taken for anything other than a tourist. I too find the numbers difficult to keep up with when they rattle them off so quickly. I can manage pretty well one to one but in a group it’s difficult to follow the conversation when they all speak at their own speed and often use slang as well. It would be amazing to meet up if you do go to France next year, you could even stay with us in Normandy.
Milena, I think we should push for a full reunion near us the year after next……have to experience Gypsy’s venue next year first, of course! Working hard to see if I’ll be able to go to that one π
Ok, I have to find lots to do to keep myself occupied today. I reckon my house will be the cleanest it has ever been! I’ll also have to spend most of the day like this π·!!
Good evening/morning all, Trying to get used to life without my IPAD but do so miss it. OH and I both love France. We were thinking of purchasing a property in Carcassonne at one stage but decided against it for various reasons. We have visited a number of times over the years. Just love all of France in general. My OH speaks the language almost fluently and he says when he is there it takes him a few days to stop thinking in English and simply speaking French. I can speak enough to do bookings, buy stuff etc. and like others can understand or read it better.
Raining here today but my friend and I have begun a wonderful week of catching up and playing with beads/metal etc.
SJ~ My Skinny Monkey biscuits are yummy. I did cook them a wee bit longer than suggested. Last night after dinner I began a cooking frenzy and did all the slices and banana loaf. My friend sample the three slices this afternoon and she enjoyed everyone. I get most of mine off PINTEREST and have various boards for each section i.e. Cakes/slices/muffins, Chicken recipes, Meat & Fish, Desserts, Paleo/Vegan, Vegetarian, Gluten Free and the list goes on.
PH ~ I am hoping everything from my IPAD is back up to iCloud just in case there is a worse case scenario. I do like your suggestion that we are so full of life we need less sleep. I can go with that.
DOGGY ~ My mind boggles at some of the prices mentioned to repair an IPAD. If it comes to prices over $500 I will have to bite the bullet and let it go. I do have some money coming to me from my Dad’s estate and I may have to use that to get another one. Mine is a 64 G but I salivate at the thought of 120 G!!
MILENA – I had a good chuckle at your calorie suggestion. I could definitely go with that.
AA – Welcome, welcome, welcome. I am fairly new at this too. Been on the 5.2 for three weeks and loving it. My FD days are Tuesday and Thursday. There is so much support here. So glad you found you way here.
Well I am off to bed now. Tomorrow will be a full on day with lots of drilling, soldering, designing and general creativity. We will finish it off with a Robbie Burns night at a local cafe. They are even piping in the Haggis. Never been to one but s.hould be a lot of fun. OH is from Glasgow and he has not been to one either.
Night Night and good luck to all fasting tomorrow.
CG, I know you’re right but I’m determined not to keep putting myself through this yo-yo ride so each week I want to see some loss, I don’t care how small. I know I don’t have to be hard on myself, I just want to! I feel it’s the only way to get properly back on track.
Genie, I believe Carcassonne is beautiful and very historic. Gosh, lots of Francophiles here……definitely have to make it a reunion venue some day π Have a wonderful crafty time with your friend, it would be lovely to see photos of your creations. All the food sounds fab too, enjoy it all π
CG I’d say 950 or thereabouts is darn good as my 1200 turned into 1300 but still quite happy with that. Did also go for a swim so got my exercise in. We took a picnic lunch down to the beach & sat on the rocks before our swim. Water was lovely.
Fit I love speaking French & enjoy brushing up on it each time we have a trip. Should do more in between times too so that I learn new words & don’t get too rusty.
Genie so glad your biscuits turned out fine – the comments were dreadful so I was a bit worried. And sounds like everything you made was enjoyed so great result. You must have cooked up quite a storm! Enjoy your beading tomorrow!!! π
It would be FANTASTIC to meet up Fit just not sure yet when we’ll be going. May depend on our home exchange too.
CG amazing what tips we learn off 5:2 isn’t it…now we’re onto SIM cards!
Gee Milena your French must have been pretty good to get that message across! Hehe you certainly shocked him into action.
PH so glad you had a wonderful lazy day….just what the Dr ordered. Your iPad2 sounds like a pretty good deal.
Well happy with how my day ended on MFP so all ready for a good week coming up. I will keep logging on MFP as I’m doing so well as compared to without it. I think I need it to be accountable to a certain extent. I don’t want to do it forever obviously but for now I feel it’s necessary. As are the vegie sticks that I turn to in the fridge when I feel like snacking! Works a treat. If that’s what it takes to lose the last 5 kilos then I’m in!!! Byee suejen XXXX
Well Sue, I can cuss in french at least! Stayed lots with my friend’s mum and step father, managed quite well, but spent a week with her day, who is marseillaise – and I just couldn’t understand anything he said because of his accent.
My friend came over to work and to learn the language, living near Newcastle, she spoke English with a strong Geordie accent – he brother spoke English with a strong Dublin accent!!! Weird!
Well, finally back on the horse, did 4 fasts this week and a pound down – seems a tad unfair but I think I am now down to the layer of fat which has been there so long its hanging on for dear life!!!
SJ, well done on getting out for a swim. It’s not very cold here today but I can’t get out for a walk with the dog because I’m looking after my sister. Strange how dementia affects motor control and spatial awareness. She walks very slowly and has alot of difficulty getting in and out of the car…..and as for putting on a seat belt – it takes her ages but I let her do it herself to try to keep her doing things for herself for as long as possible.
Milena, how wonderful to have spent so much tim with a French family….the best way to learn to speak the language I reckon.
I would love to be as good as you and SJ….. I forget words and phrases so easily. When we’re in France we’re surrounded by non English speakers so that’s good but I find I’m just getting my ear in tune when it’s time to come home!
Pavlova β yum! thanks all for the ideas/recipes, and Simcoe, for the Wiki link too! I love meringues β Fit, I spotted some gigantic ones in a corner bakery window on Dawson St. in Dublin, riding past on the bus β and jumped off at the very next stop. They were chewy and wonderful. Indeed not diet food but a very special treat.
Ha CG my plastics are quite friendly too, regularly bursting forth to greet me from the cabinet. Especially after OH does the dishes and places them every which way. As Fit said, it is a puzzle how we can do all this running around and the weight stays static. I guess it is underestimating caloriesβ¦or for me it is more likely my regular Sat night social time, fueled last night by martinis – but ONLY ONE, so perhaps not too much damage. Fit I am not getting on the scale today, I know every single word it would say π
Iβm pea-green at all the talk of France β my dream would be to go live there for a year and really learn the language. I loved the book The Sweet Life in Paris, by David Lebovitz, a US chef who moved there without knowing much French at all. Very funny, and some delicious recipes. I may have to go chew on some lemons now to stop thinking about French cuisine.
FYI if anyone else battles the sweet tooth, Iβve realized that squeezing lemon into my ice water was actually calming my sugar cravings. Which is saying something because I can be a sugar demon. I looked online to see how lemons did this thing, and one theory is that the juice lowers the insulin/glycemic business. Iβm no scientist, but it does work for me β not that I canβt ignore its effects, HA, but if what Iβm looking for is control, it helps.
OH SJ the caramel sauce on chops, lol β at least you could make those sauces as a newlywed! I remember making a baked fish dinner for OH#1 when living in Louisiana, shortly after we married, Iβd bought a fresh fish at the market but didnβt know they had not been gutted. So we had baked fish andβ¦entrails. Lovely. And FYI that is not the reason he is a past-tense OH!
Now Iβm dying for pavlova, a smoothie, and a new iPad after reading the recent posts. PH I would pay big money for some fresh-picked blueberries right now. Brilliant to have that sim card for internet access away from home, but in the US it costs a lot more, like $40/mo and probably a 2-year contract.
So instead Iβll just go have another cup of coffee π cheers all β happy FD Iβll be gearing up to join you when itβs Monday here. xxxx
ps Fit hope the day goes well with your sis, hugs xxx
Jade, if I could send you my sister’s pavlova I would…..not too chewy because those kind just stick to your teeth, probably your thighs too! Ha, ha!π My other sister got on fine with me thanks….she ate quite a good dinner so I’m happy about that. I also cooked enough for my fd tomorrow and I prepared some carrot sticks too…woohoo, the 4 Ps in action!
So, I’m planning mini projects to keep me occupied for the week and some non edible treats…..concert on Wed, film on Tues, who knows what else? Hope everyone has a great week and let’s all kick ass……including our own if necessary!ππππͺ
Oh yes Fit, I need one of those very slippery Pavlovas that will not stick to anything! And good going, you sound like you’re ready to conquer the week with your Ps in order. I will be there behind you kicking you to the finish line!! I am really hanging in there with MFP, but I guess I have drilled my way down to some tenacious flabby welded-on bits. Surely I am more stubborn than they are. Hey if we keep kicking ourselves maybe we will kick some of them loose?
But tonight I have some gorgeous organic eggplants and am ready to make SJ’s rotolo things. I printed the recipe so I am looking forward to a fairly behaved and delicious pre-FD dinner.
I’m glad the day with your sister was a good one, I know it can be heartbreaking – but loving gestures mean so much and often more than we can tell. I hope I am granted that kind of care if/when I am in need. xx
And now I’ve read up on Pavlovas thanks to Simcoe I’ve discovered a link to “Eton Mess” – which sounds weird at best until of course I looked at the ingredients and saw bananas and meringue, well sign me up for that one, too. I think I might actually try making just the Pav meringue tonight, as I have so many eggs on hand. Right, that’s the reason, too many eggs. Just way too many π
CG don’t forget your hens may need a good shower as well π – thank you as always for your inspiration and AD pep talks! It is a daily boost.
I’ve made the meringue already, though it does not look very fluffy. The receip called for a whole cup of sugar which seemed to have been too much for my stick blender so I endeavored by hand. In the oven now, could the flattest pavlova on record. But so sweet I was on the whisks and the bowl like a raccoon, and finally just bit into a slice of lemon to regain my wits. Yes my superpower is lemons (reminds me of the SNL sketch last night if you all catch that show).
I’m with you FIT on many things…firstly love Maggie Smith and Richard Geere and Judi Dench.. Ejnoyed the movie though not as good as the first…
I also need to get my bum back into gear and start right from scratch again. I have become slack and just Cruising along.
…need to do what SJ. is doing and start getting serious about this.
No scotch in the house so I am not tempted…I did that for the first month. Will also track every day for a while and see if I can keep up some regular losses. Can’t seem to get out of the silly season somehow. I did not gain but nor have I lost as much as I would like. Was 98.1 over the silly season and am now 97.6…that is in one month….not good enough. Hope to lose a couple of Kgs this month so have to work on it. Can’t say I’m going overboard…just not being as careful with food choices as I was. So let’s get serious fit and see what we can do…WE CAN DO THIS…REMEMBER WE ARE AUSSIE DETERMINATIONπ€π€π€πππππ€ππππππ
So in preparation for this I finished off the last of the bottle of scotch last night…4 drinks.πΉπΉπΉπΉ.enjoyed every one. And finished off a bag of nut and seed mix…so today have pains in the tummy and could not go to pool in case…….
Nothing left to tempt me in the cupboards now so all set to go. FAST DAY TODAY and so the second stage begins……π―π―π³π³ππππ· Occasional red wine over a glass full of ice with water for this little black duck for a month…fasting till 11am each day so doing 16/8 and just two FD per week. And checking in each day with my wonderful support team….ICAN DO THISπππππ
Oh PH, that is my kind of house cleaning, you cracked me up. Glad the scotch was good! Sorry for the bad tum today, but at least you know the cupboard is bare of all those pesky little problems. Two birds, one stone, YOU CAN DO IT!
My meringue turned out a bit strange, nice crunchy shell but maybe not done. It cooled a long time in the oven, but I put it back in for more and we’ll see. It’s a bit delicate to handle any topping, but I took a small bite and it wasn’t bad if you like a crunchy flan. Believe me I could eat it. xxx
Oh yes, PH! We can do this and we ARE doing this! The silly season got its teeth well and truly into me too, so I’m with you on this. We know well what to do, we just haven’t really been doing it! Speaking for myself, I have been eating too many carbs on fds. Also kidding myself that I was eating to my TDEE when I’m sure I was going over. So, it’s time to be stricter and more honest with myself……..it’s the only way forward. I have been taking too many liberties with a tried and trusted formula and then feeling frustrated with the poor results or the yo-yo effect. So time to knuckle down and follow the programme properly. BRING IT ON!
CG. Great your massage worked a treat. Good luck with the pool and gym, interested to know how your new SIM card works. You are right might as well give it a go and see what happens, can’t be any worse reception at your place. If it works in your area your laughing…OH gets better reception on Optus than me sometimes on Telstra in little places. And his plan is the pay as you go plan..they only bill you when you get to 15.00 and at 12c a minute I takes him a while to,get there…usually three months. Love the idea of a peppermint pay. Sounds heavenly.
Jade..yes love that type of house cleaning myself….OH and I have to do it sometime to get all the part bottles emptied, he likes to blend his wine and sometimes has 3 or 4 bottles open at once..so he had a house cleaning night as well. π·π·π·π·π. Good on you for having a go at making a pav…..sounds like it turned out not too bad –
they are tricky to make and that is my excuse for not having a go. Also absolutely too yummy…
Fit . The challenge is on…WE CAN DO THIS…π€π€π€π€
SJ ..you gave me the inspiration to make the effort to get back on track…Thanksππππ
Ge ie..nothing better than sharing an interest with a friend..have a great week creating..and remember to post some photos. If you on,y have an iPad then you can email photos to me and I will upload for you on my computer. π»π»π»
I hear the truck just pulling up delivering my new mattress. Better go…πππ
..
go gal purple!!! love the way you mention 4 drinks!
Poured my bedtime water into a wine glass by mistake last night – as I am Miss Clumsy I poured it into my water glass, to find it didn’t fit – blummin’ ‘eck, I must have had a few VERY LARGE glasses of wine in my time!
In a quandary tonight, have half a bottle of red wine left and a fast day tomorrowm really not keen to leave wine for two days. SO – looks like my 500 calories tomorrow may just be fermented grape juice!! At least I can call it a liquid fast!
Hi all. Another Francohpile here. My OH and I did a barging holiday with in laws on some of the canals in France . We just loved it. We were able to moor the barge along the way and go and explore the towns and country side. I’d downloaded a learn to speak App months before we left. My French was great on the iPad but once we got there I was useless. One has to be able to converse in a language in order to learn it. We learnt Latin of all things at school. Mind you, lots of our English has either Latin or Greek roots.
FD here too again. I am determined to be strict with myself this week. Especially on NFD as I’m usually very lax with my TDEE. to be honest I don’t even remember what it is but am about to rectify that.
CG the mail hasn’t arrived yet today. Our mail deleivery has gone to pot here. The price of postage has gone up and the service has deteriorated.
I made pizza for supper last night. I used a supermarket bought base but added my own topping. I managed to over cook it slightly as I have a fan forced oven and should have had the heat at a lower setting. It still tastes yummy though. Defiantly no low cal though.
XX Doggy
Morning team hope everyone who’s fasting today is well and truly ready. I’m sitting here with my cup of coffee in hand (splash of milk) and that will be it till my HB egg around 4pm. Vegie sticks smack bang at front of fridge ready to grab – had to fix that one up as OH had pushed them to the back somewhere! I’ve already told OH that the rest of the Berry Tiramisu left over is all his….in case I’m tempted to cheat. Should disappear pretty soon knowing him! Good to hear that some others on the team are getting serious about losing again & facing up to the fact that we’ve drifted a bit.
For me I think using MFP again has been the biggest help. Calorie amnesia is a very big problem with us all I think. If I don’t track I can think to myself in a very VAGUE sort of way Oh I think I’ve eaten pretty well today, not gone overboard no dreadful foods. But when I’ve added up those foods I’ve consumed way too much….you know….the little bit here…little bit there. So I plan out my day on MFP & if I add anything in I try to work it out straight away OR I try and leave some leeway for those unexpected coffees & the like. Plus I think that the more you use MFP the more user friendly it gets as you add in your own meals or recipes etc.
By the way do you all save favourite stuff as a meal on MFP? It’s really easy to do. You simply find all the foods involved for that meal & list them for the day. If you had other things for that meal that aren’t relevant delete them (I do this at the end of the day so it doesn’t matter for your total). Then click on Quick Tools and then on Remember Meal – give the meal a name you’ll remember like Milky Coffee & PB on toast eg is one of mine, or Home Garden Salad no cheese/olives. Then next time you have that same meal it’s dead easy! Just in case it helps.
Jade did you make the Eggplant Ragu? If you leave your pav filled with cream in the fridge it will soften – but maybe for you best to stay away from pavs!! π
PH great to see that you’ve emptied your cupboards & are ready to get into some serious action again in the weight loss stakes. Let’s smash it!!
CG hope the pool/gym goes OK today with that tenderness but as you say it’s a great sign to get some feeling back. Take it as easy as you can girl.
Fit all the best with your mini projects and your new determination….aussie of course!
Well into the day ladies whether fasting or not. If you are remember to make the day count. We only have 2 fasts a week (mostly) SO…….we have to make them count! MAKE IT THE BEST FAST DAY THAT YOU POSSIBLY CAN!! Practise your good habits, choose healthy foods, eat mostly protein & vegies and load up on the water/teas. And before you know it the day will be done and dusted. π suejen XXXX
Hi to GG Gyps Genie Barb Bert Up Doggie & anyone I’ve forgotten.
Annie how are you doing as our latest newbie?
Milena, never thought I could do a liquid fast but I’d make an exception for your kind!π
Dawg, my OH learned Latin too and swears by its usefulness in helping to learn other languages.
SJ, I credit you with starting the trend of back to basics, good habits and honest accounting. I’ve been doing too much tweaking and not enough 5:2ing! So, I’m happy to be doing it by the book and I know I’ll see steady results……with my Aussie determination of course!
Doggie no idea what the Invoice 2 thingy is with MFP? I didn’t use it for quite a while but it worked OK when I got back to it. Maybe if you have to, delete the app & install it again – unless of course you have lots of stuff saved in there. I certainly wouldn’t want to do that with all the recipes I’ve put in there! Hope you get it working. XX
Gosh you girls have been busy today. Hi SJ and everyone. Haven’t had much time to write, I am now having my “non lunch” so thought I would say hi and let you know I have been good and sticking to my MFP since I started. Having said that, this is only week 3 give me time ππ
I am off to Sydney again on Wednesday so that will be the test, that’s where I went completely off the rails last week and as we are all saying, it isn’t worth mucking around, be serious and you will make it!!! Gee CG more than 20kgs….I am REALLY impressed, well done you!!! Anyone else lost that much? It is 8 weeks before we leave on our trip, is it too much to ask if I am a very good girl I can lose 5-6kgs?
Have a great day/evening everyone Barb xx
Hi girls……
Sorry, it’s been a couple days since I’ve posted. Wow, tons of posts for me to get thru.
On Fri., I received some unexpected news, my mother in law was in rehab because of a pulled muscle in her leg. They told her she was going to be released but she could not stay alone any more. She’s 92. So, next Sunday, I’m flying home to NY, Buffalo to be exact and bring my mother in law home to stay with us in Florida. So, all weekend, it has been filled with getting our guest room ready and guest bath ready, booking airline tickets and many hours on the phone with other family members….. It looks like, I will taking a leave of absence from my job and staying home to help her.
Believe me, I don’t mind, I have a great mother in law and I love being home taking care of my home and my family.
It sure is going to be different around here. But it’s all good….. I’ve made tons of plans including expanding my garden and learning to can my fruits a veg for the winter….
I hope all is well with everyone!
Oh barb….. Did the grease come out?
I will be in touch soon
