  • Oh right Barb, you did write “carer” and not “career” didn’t you! I probably got confused because OH used to make up stories for our youngest about our little dog, who had a career as a bakery delivery dog, but he got in trouble for eating the pastries too often. He would leave little notes around the house about his delivery adventures (written by OH w/ his left hand and using cute little “malaprops” a/k/a dog lingo). So yeah, he’s messy but has a big wonderful creative heart (do wish he could cook like yours, Fit!). I know we are all treasures, too – my only bad habit is how brightly I can make that halo glow. HA.

Good luck at the scale to Barb and all who are venturing near the dreaded thing. xxx

I wish my OH would cook. What a dream that would be!!

Good morning/evening team, just loving reading our “overnight” conversations πŸ˜ƒ It’s a nice read with my morning coffee. I’m pretty rushed this morning, car service at 8:00 getting a loaner car, then straight to the pool THEEEN, a massage. Decided to try them a couple of times in preference to the chiro, I feel my muscles are still very tight rather than needing “clicking” of any jointsπŸ˜‰ so in for some pleasure and pain, but lovin’ it πŸ˜ƒ
I’ll check in later team, hope you still fasting are holing the reins tight and feeling the love and support….back later πŸ˜„πŸ’• xxxxxxxxxx

Best of luck on the scales, Barb. I’ll be facing the dreaded silver square in the morning too!
Jade, keep polishing away at that halo and I’ll keep looking to the west until I can see that glow in the sky!
CG, have a lovely time with the pool and massage. My older daughter gave me a voucher for the local salon and I’m going to have a facial next week – there’s a special on at the moment where it comes with a free massage…..can’t wait! It will be bliss!πŸ’†

Just a …dare I say….quicky before I go, 73.1k this morning, I broke my fast yesterday when my girlfriend, who helps me fortnightly in the garden came, so broke my fast at 3:00 with a fruit smoothie and three Cadbury favourites! Those little sucker are loaded! Then a prawn salad for dinner, BUT had one whiskey and zero coke, no need for it, but had it anyway….so no real movement but no gain, so holding steady πŸ˜€
Pls excuse typos, no glasses on….chat later πŸ˜‰πŸ’•xxxxxx

Very disappointed only 100g = 3.5oz and I have been so good πŸ˜₯πŸ˜₯πŸ˜₯πŸ˜₯

Holding steady is not the worst thing in the world and you enjoyed time and treats with your friend πŸ˜„ So it’s all good! Every time you hold steady you are a winner,CG xx

Hi all! Good luck to everyone weighing in today. I managed to lose 0.9 kg this week. Am quite pleased with that. It’s all just numbers to me at the mo. Maybe I should get some kilo bags of flour/ sugar so my brain will recognise the real weight loss. I’m not motivated enough to do exercise yet . it’s very sporadic. Just a question? Do u go thru a plateau with this diet?

WB, that’s a fantastic loss, well done! Some of us have plateaued at one time or another for various reasons and that is when we have to dig deep and persevere. Remember that this is a marathon and not a sprint.

Well done WB. You should pat yourself on the back!!! How much have you lost so far?

I’ve lost 3.3 kg since I started on Monday 4th…..I think! Reason being is I had dodgy scales so had to go buy a electronic one !

    Hey girls….
Just a quick note to say hi!
Barb……. Put your washer on the hottest cycle, add 6 cups of distilled vinegar and cup and a half of baking soda…. Let it run all the way through… It will get the grease out,
Fit….. We have a lab too…. He’s blonde, he’ll turn 17 this year. His name is Harley and he’s a big spoiled baby. When we’re home, he follows us every where! Don’t sit on the floor at my house or you’ll have a 170 lb dog sitting in your lap!

Bert, you’ve obviously done a great job with Harley. 17 years old is a terrific age! How cute that he sits in your lap πŸ•

Well what a chatty lot we are….spoiled dogs (aren’t they all!) washing machines scales (with various derogatory descriptions!) weight losses and plateaus massages and messy OH’s!!! Boy have I missed any topics?!
Well pleased to report that I’m back down to 70.3 with all my extra effort and tracking. Still not really a loss but it IS heading back down to my best of 69.4 so YEAH. So I’ll continue with MFP for a while to ensure I get there.
Gonna leave it there and swap over to the PC. Too hard to look back on my little phone and it zooms back up the top of the page every time I scroll. Sj xxx

Here I am again…no you can’t get rid of me that easily! WB well done on your continued losses FANTASTIC! And yes you SHOULD get some way to recognise your losses whether it be tins of food stacked up or old butter containers (anything so long as they’re either 500g or 1kg). That’s an old trick from my Easyslim days – sometimes the number on the scale is just a number but we need something visual to get it into our heads what we have actually achieved! Never under-estimate that!!
Plateaus yes for sure sometimes for months & yes can be extremely frustrating. Most of us have found some tweaking of 5:2 will get us on our way again & some of us still working on that one. I think that sometimes the body needs time to recalibrate so to speak or it holds on like glue to the rest of the darn fat reserves and says…….NO you’re not having it. It’s all mine! I need it to survive!! The trick is to persevere x
Barb take your 100g & add it to the rest of what you’ve lost. Now how does it look? I seem to remember you’ve had some great losses. So take every little bit no matter how small and consider it a win. I know that’s hard to take when as you say you’ve been so good but remember you’re also building good habits to last a lifetime. Have your measurements changed or your clothes fit better?
Ooh CG I forgot to add to the list of topics discussed……….chocolates!! Gee amazing how often THEY appear on our discussion lists. Yummo! And 73.1 sounds pretty good to me….if I remember rightly just a bit lower? And you’re the perseverance queen anyway remember?! Or was it sheer bl**** mindedness! ENJOY YOUR MASSAGE πŸ™‚
Now let me add to the messy OH debate. We had to buy a mat for under the kitchen sink where OH slops the water when he washes up (no room in our kitchen for a dishwasher – he’s it since I do all the cooking). Does the same when just brushing his teeth or the like…I mean why can’t you just keep the water in the bowl rather than all over the place. The mat has solved part of the problem but as I pointed out to him it DOESN’T fix up the tops of the cupboards under the sink where I have to open them up & wipe the water away. Man oh man…does he think he’s washing a boat or what??!! And that’s just the tip of the iceberg.
Jade you gotta try that eggplant recipe sometime. You’ll love it. Too many cals for a FD though unless you’ve had very little. My OH would be similar to yours re serving sizes but would still work. Sometimes with us it’s for 2 days where I get a serving for 2 nights & he gets 1 1/2 or 2 servings each night – maybe 1 serve left for the freezer. Freezes well.
Fit hang in there despite being cold and cranky. You CAN do it and you know hoe good it feels to add another successful FD to the list! Hot soups or cups of tea/coffee.

Hope everyone else gets to weigh in. It’s always great to hear how we’re all going. Encourages us when we hear of other’s losses & we can encourage you if you haven’t lost or gained or on a plateau. So……off to track my food & do some cooking for tomorrow’s lunch for 6. I’m very much a last minuter with preparation (well leave it all to the day & then stress out) so trying to do better this time. Most will be cooked today & all easy stuff just the salad & dippy stuff tomorrow. Even making my own healthy dips this time. Have a splendid day everyone….you owe it to yourself to do so! It won’t come again. suejen XXXX

Hi team as I hear the wonderful patter of RAIN DROPS on the roof. Not a deluge by any means but it’s a start. My poor neighbours had a horrible day yesterday. Their son was on the roof of his house trying to nose it down as a fire was raging in thepaddock next to him. He managed to save the house plus his animals. We are so relieved for them. There are now 80 fires burning in this state. Hopefully this shower activity is statewide and will dampen things down.
Good news is that Pepper is OK after vomiting +++ yesterday after his worming tabs. I went into the vet today and told them what had happened. It turns out that the vet nurse had given me the incorrect dose! Thankfully he is in fine fettle again today. Yes we are a doggy lot aren’t we. I used to have a Great Dane. When I took out her to the vet she used to sit on my lap! Much to the amusement of the others in the waiting room.
According to my iffy scales I’m another 400 gms down again this week. That makes it nearly a kilo in two weeks. I’m happy with that.
Fit just remember, when you are feeling the cold on FD it’s telling you that the 5:2 is working. I used to feel the cold too. Haven’t for a while but that could be because it’s summer here.
    XX Doggy

Suejen, enjoy the entertaining, we do stress, we want it perfect, but forget, what a compliment it is in people WANTING to come for a meal and chat πŸ˜ƒ and it’s usually people who have been before so know they feel welcome, relaxed……and well fed with a few quenching sips πŸ˜‰
And 70.0k woohoo, well done you, the 60’s can’t get any closer πŸ˜ƒ not long now dear friend!
Bert, I had a Samoyed, she was 18 when I had her put to sleep, I don’t think I have a family photo of my kids growing up, without Elka in them, it was like losing a family member, she had the sweetest nature, and always thought she was a lap dog…..she would turn around quickly and swipe everything of the coffee table with her tail ☺️big job to groom, but paid to have her done professionally. She look like a huge white pom pom πŸ˜€ I always have long haired animals as I have found, they shed in clumps, easy to pick up, . Like cotton wool balls, but Labs and the like, little hairs every where.
WB, 5:2 is not a quick fix, it IS for life, but I Lost most of my weight in the first 6 months, couldn’t believe it, bit by bit, didn’t seem much, the clothes started getting loose. I even noticed differences in the mirror, so hang in there, give it time, after all, what’s the rush….you WILL see results so be patient πŸ˜€
Fit you are probably sleeping now, with another perfect fast behind you πŸ˜€ and all the paperwork done! So mark it off as a very productive and successful day, well doneπŸ˜„
I had so many compliments this morning in my new bathers, even spread the word about getting rid of low fat -light everything in the house πŸ˜‰, so no shoulder straps falling down my arms or boobs getting lost with so much freedom 😏 but did get a migraine, worked through it with true AUSSIE DETERMINATION and it cleared, but feel very think in the head now so will lay down shortly after lunch. My massage was absolute heaven, my leg feels incredible with movement. My main problem is getting strength back in my “glutes” (sp?) and nerves working in my right leg(which were crushed) so she worked on that too, ouch, but it felt great too, going back in a few weeks and making it regular now instead of the chiroπŸ˜ƒ and shes a lovely girl.
Jade, I can visualise you polishing that halo πŸ˜‡…..can you please post your email address, I need to contact you πŸ˜ƒafter I acknowledge it, you can ask the powers that be to delete it ☺️
Time for lunch, please keep the wonderful posts coming, we all need the support of like minded people, no matter the subject πŸ˜€ …..enjoy your day team.

Hello one and all! After 5 days of no sav last night i had a glass….. as you can imagine it was like liquid goldI am still doing this zig zag with weight. One day I’m 72kgs ,2 days later up to 74kgs….. SOMEBODY TELL ME WHAT ###??? 😀😭😬IS GOING ON! I have really been doing all the right things. You all now I stick to the plan and am religious with my 4 P’s. Well done to you all on your loss.
Its another steamy day on the coast. So its water water water as today is my last day of 4:3 this week.
Sorry I am not replying to your awesome posts individually I am time poor at this time….. you are keeping me Lol at all your news.
Tonight I do my 1st evening/ night caring for a client from 6pm to 1230am……they have cardiac issues . The family need the respite. So Fit I,ll be up we may talk by emsil if you like.
Have agreat day continue to let YOUR AUSSIE DETERMINATION WORKπŸ’ͺπŸ‘ FOR YOU……..COS YOU KNOW YOU CAN DO IT…….πŸ’—HUGS GO GAL.

GG, good luck with tonight’s shift, I bet you really enjoy it. Don’t get too frustrated with the zigzag, think more of the size you have retained in your clothes πŸ˜€ and how fantastic they feel and to see that size on the label…..you must be doing something right because you are not gaining πŸ˜€ that’s more important. πŸ˜‰πŸ’•xxxxxx

Hi all, Doggy so glad Pepper is better. So sad when our little guys are suffering.
I am completely whipped by my day. Marathon faculty meeting, and lots of tension. Just exhausting. And tomorrow I judge a competition that will last until 10 p.m. OH not happy about that one but it’s a good thing for the students.

Congrats to all on the losses or holding steady, also a victory – seriously good work going on here! I’m too tired to care what I weigh tomorrow, but I will let that blasted thing tell me in the morning. I have soldiered through my FD today despite there being candy and cookies passed around constantly during the meeting. I honestly didn’t dare, as I’d had nothing but coffee and a HB egg – can’t imagine what pure sugar would have done to my physical or mental equilibrium at that point.

CG my email is jjfuzzles@gmail.com – no worries it is on my profile, and I’ve had no problems with it being public. Yet, haha.
SJ I’m looking forward to cooking that eggplant dish, really think OH will love it, too. Maybe tomorrow.
Hugs to all I will catch up more tomorrow — bedtime now. xxx zzzzzz

Thanks Jade, I’ll email you soon πŸ˜ƒ

Jade, hope you are sound asleep after such a big day, and yes, those dreaded scales, but quite often they do smileπŸ˜€so feel positive, know you have done your best and know, you are certainly eating healthier than ever beforeπŸ˜ƒπŸ’€πŸ’xxxx

Doggy, for some reason your post didn’t come through my emails, neither did Jades, and it’s ticked? What a fright for you all but especially the neighbour, it really brings it home doesn’t it………
With Pepper, that’s why I questioned the dosage 😟 it’s awful to see them unwell, glad you got it sorted πŸ˜€ and I can visualise you sitting with a Great Dane on your lap at the vets….the bigger they are, the bigger sooks they areπŸ˜ƒ
Congratulations on your loss, often a break seems to shake things up, I often think our body gets too used to our way of eating and the metabolism gets lazy πŸ˜πŸ’xxxxxx

Hi All, just popping in to say well done on all the losses and great efforts. I’ll post properly later, have to get to my sister earlier today than usual. Lost .6 again this week, so I’m a happy bunny! ✊πŸ’ͺ Aussie Determination!

Hi Fit, your doing well again, back into the swing of things. Enjoy your day πŸ˜€πŸ’xxx

Hi all. Sorry have been MIA, so many wonderful posts to read and so many great losses to read about. Well done all. WAHOOπŸ‘πŸ‘πŸŽ‰πŸŽ‰πŸ˜‡πŸ˜‡.

I have missed all of these posts for some reason? I have it automatically email me when one comes in and all day I have not seen anything. I thought that was very strange so logged on and what do you know…. Nearly a whole page of interesting posts including how to get the grease out of my washing machine, thanks Bert & a pep talk from SJ, thank you too. I know you are right but it was disappointing nonetheless. Then I told my daughter & prattled off all the things I ate over that day 1/2 I was away & I can understand why. My goodness what I didn’t eat wasn’t worth mentioning.
We have finalised our trip to Vietnam & decided to add a 17 day tour into Cambodia & Vietnam before visiting my brother. Can’t wait…yes I can, got to get rid of at least another 6 kilos/13.2lbs so no more “eating sprees” for me. I know that’s a tall order but I will give it a good nudge.
Congrats to all the losers this week.
Doggy my friend lives in Dilston, I have emailed her to see if she is ok but the email was returned, her husband died & they shared an email address it looks like she has changed it. Do you know if the fires are near Dilston? I think I will call her tomorrow. Fingers crossed she hasn’t changed that too.

Yes Barb something went amiss with the system. I did think it was strange not seeing any AD emails too but just concluded that everyone was busy! But we’ve had it happen before several times.
PH uou and your emoticons have been missed!! Hope you’re back in action now.
Oh Fit you deserve to be hopping around like a happy bunny! Good on you girl!! Keep it coming.
Jade all the best with your weighin. You deserve to be down fasting through all that candy etc etc!!
GG so good to see you back and hope you CAN post more often. We miss your encouraging posts! Hope things settle down for you.
Woohoo CG you got new bathers too and you’re not going to be arrested any more for indecent exposure!

Well after all that baking it’s off to bed for me. At least everything turned out well and now tomorrow will be a cinch. Less pressure….great!!! Nighty night or good morning all…depending on when u read this. Sj xxx

Is anyone ,anywhere awake? I finished my shift at at 1230 am. And its now 2aam AEST.Icannot sleep. 61/2 hrs of such with a92 yr old Greek lady that I bonded with instantly….. thats me and my personality. … I do stay within my professional bounderies BUT by the stars I am one of these nurses that push the envelope st times. I did all that a daughter cuold do for my Dad in /on his final journey and I guess that set the bar for whomever I have in my care!….πŸ’–…..Go GAl xxx

Barb such a lovely trip planned. It makes me happy to hear of Vietnam in a happy way, as Americans tend only to think of the war. Best of luck with your 6 kilo goal – let the vacation momentum carry you there.
Congrats to the losers, Woo hoo WB that is a great loss! And almost a whole kilo this week.I am barely in the losers camp with .5 (lb, not kilo) loss this week. It was a whole lb, then the scale (I swear it laughed) went up. Guess I’ll look on the bright side, I managed to avoid the sweets this week, even the grapes (I think they’re just too sweet for me). But will keep working hard on my crazy appetite, I will not be beaten.
Oh GG I had that same week last week, up and down with 2 kilos I mean What The….glad you had your glass of sav, definitely refreshing after 5 days I know!
CG congrats on looking so fine in your bathers – and doesn’t that feel nice when so much of β€œyou” is showing to get the compliments! Glad the massage loosened you up – maybe some of the pain shifted and caused a migraine? Hope you feel better from the nap. Pain and pounds do seem to run around before they leave.
Doggy, YAY RAINDROPS!!! Hope they continue. And so glad Pepper is better, poor baby with an overdose! Happy also that your neighbors and animals are safe after that harrowing story of the paddock fire.
Oh Suejen reading about your husband and the water YES oh mercy yes, same here. Lol is he washing a boat in there…. you would think!! Congrats on your downward trend at the scales – I read your pep talk just now too and it helped.
Fit hope all is ok with your sister. Congrats on your loss, happy bunny dance!!
Bert wow that is an incredibly long life for a lab – gosh is he really 170 lbs?
Oh hi GG I’m awake though should be out the door – I loved what you said about taking care of your patients, my mom has such wonderful people caring for her and I am so grateful. It is a special bond indeed and I can tell she loves her nurses. Hugs to you for sharing your compassion with the elderly who need it so much.
Sheesh I have GOT TO GET TO WORK – ha, happy day all! jade xxxxx

Hi all, hope you are asleep by now GG . I am having a restless night too. Been a bit down the last few days with back pain, you think you have sorted out what makes it bad and put processes in place to manage it and then whamoo!! It comes back to bite you with a vengeance. Hopefully have had enough couch time now to get on with life again. That combined with OH having a bad few days made me feel really sorry for myself😰😰πŸ˜₯πŸ˜₯..have given myself an good talking too and a kick up up the bum and all should now be good.
Lots of friends going through much worse than me , I am now quite rightly ashamed of myself for being so self indulgent. So onwards and upwards from here and back to the real me.πŸ˜„πŸ˜„πŸ€—πŸ€—πŸ’œπŸ’œ

GG Know what you mean about the oldies. They are so interesting to talk to and have some wonderful stories to share and love nothing better than a good listener..I got close to all the others in the room with mum when she was in the nursing home. I would take enough treats for the other two in the room as well as mum when I visited her, 4 days a week and my brother would do the same on the 3 days a week he would go. She was very fortunate and had a visitor every day..we would take ice cream tubs🍧🍧, or special fruitπŸ‰πŸ‘πŸ’πŸ“ or chocolates🍫🍫🍫 etc and have a little party..on special days I would take Some party hats up and a cd of old time dance music or old songs and we would have a sing a long. 🎀🎧🎼Other days I would phone her sisters and repeat everything she would say so they could hear, and then repeat everything they would say so mum could hear. Special times…πŸ’—πŸ’—πŸ’—

Doggy hope all the smoke around is not worrying you to much. I read in the paper that they were setting up an evacuation centre at Wynyard near Burnie. That is where my youngest and his partner and her family are. Things hopefully settling down now. Their baby was due yesterday and they have to get to Bernie for the birth. While I think of it I will go onto the Tasmania fire site and see what is happening. Bye for now all.

No PH I am stll awake . Give me a call if you want . We can talk until uou sre ready for sleep ? I AWAIT YOUR CALL ….LOVE GO GALXXX

just had a look. No new ones indicated on the map and fortunately the fire is to the west of them and the hospital to the east. They told me last night not to worry because it was still a long way from them, but you know mothers, worry is our middle name when it comes to our kids. Need to take their advice and get back to sleep. Nite niteπŸ’€πŸ’€πŸ’€

GG. Nice talking to you.. Enjoy your tea and have a good sleep..πŸ’œπŸ’œ

Oh boy! It’s 4am, been up since 2am. Got all overheated and hot. Had my bloods done recently and I may be going hyperthyroid again .getting lots of missed beats. ( ectopics) which r keeping me awake when trying to sleep n feelin like poo when awake. I think next bloods will see me back on tablets again.graves disease makes you all hyper , anxious and hot .it was tough down park w kids yesterday… 88% humidity..felt like Darwin weather in Sydney!!

    Hi all

some lovely posts – I have a perfect OH, does washing, drying, driving, cleaning, cooking, shopping – i could go on and on!

Trouble is – its bloody hard living with perfection sometimes!!!

Today is my first anniversary of the 5:2 forums!!! Yay – from a starting weight of over 200 lbs, 91 kilos I think, a full 3 stone loss – just to confuse the metric loss, 42 lbs 19 kilos – got to a 52 lbs, 23.5 kilo loss but Christmas was such fun! Anyway, looking forward to journeying through 2016 with you all – first target is to keep it off, second is to regain the dizzy heights and third is to get a stack more off!

Biggest reason 5:2 works is this forum, so thank to you all from one of the honorary aussies – I could name names but won’t except for the glue who keeps us together CG – special thanks to you!

Finally got home from my sister’s. Just had a few extra chores to do and it entailed going to several different shops so that’s what took so long.
SJ, yes it looks like your OH is just as messy as mine! Delighted to hear about your loss, we know that slow and steady wins the race. Thank you and others for kind words of encouragement as I struggled with the cold and bad temper yesterday. As soon as I had my evening meal, I was as right as rain again.
Dawg, so glad to hear that Pepper is ok again- that could have been a very nasty situation indeed. What a funny sight you must have been with a Great Dane in your lap. My sister used to have an Irish Wolfhound who was a very fussy eater so she used to get down on the floor beside him and feed him with a wooden spoon.
CG, great news about all the compliments and that you enjoyed the massage. It will probably take a course of them to get lasting results. Hope the migraine is gone now. Looks like it’s slow and steady for you too with the weight loss but it is happening and you’re feeling so good…..lots to celebrate πŸ˜€
GG, sorry I was away for most of the day, I would have loved to keep you company πŸ‘ I’m sure your client thoroughly enjoyed your care and attention πŸ˜‡
JL, well done for resisting all that temptation during such a stressful day πŸ‘ I must email you too so that you will have my email details if you want. Hope you get to relax now, take care xx
Barb, I’m so jealous of your planned trip to Vietnam and Cambodia…..I have heard wonderful reports from anyone who has visited there.
PH, sorry to hear you have been feeling down. You have been a lot of extra running around and chores for the last few weeks since your daughter moved back, so you have probably been overdoing it. I hope things ease up soon and that you get a good night’s sleep xx
WB, hope things settle down for you too, take it easy.
Milena, congrats on your anniversary and what brilliant loss to date……you’re doing an amazing job! πŸ’ͺπŸ˜‡πŸ‘πŸ˜ƒ

Wow, every posting came through about 2:15 this morning. I wonder what happens to stop the posts then get them all pushed through at once? Good to read what everyone is up to. I had a good day 898 calories so upward and inward for me. Have a good day/evening all. Barb xx

That’s a great day’s work, Barb, well done!

Golly team, so much activity overnight whilst I slept, I feel as though I have been MIA
Good morning/evening team, now to remember who said what!
PH, you have been so busy in planning your daughters return, and doing so much to her home, maybe now things are settling and you don’t feel as needed or as busy? You are still needed, a daughter always needs her Mum, but they are independent and need their space, so maybe just have a special day each week for lunch or shopping together? Am I totally off base? Mood swings too often come with 5:2 so don’t be hard on yourself, just get on with living and loving what you do. If o/h is having a rough time, go with the flow, it will pass πŸ˜ƒ
    Melina, happy anniversary!
Fit, such a busy girl, I hope your still looking into alternative care to give yourself a breather, you have a life to live yourself, a lovely holiday home in France you could be visiting, and we can’t get those years back….take care dear friend, thinking of your plight😘
Barb, congrats on such a great day xx
WB, don’t play or second guess what is happening…..off to the doctor, that’s what he is there for!πŸ˜‰
GG, I’m so glad you enjoyed this new way of working, it is really personal and enjoyable…..I do hope you are asleep now, but it does take time for the adrenaline to settle after work, my son finds that every night (being a baker) he does 7:00pm-3:00am and often not in bed till 9:00am😏 cause he cant settle.
Jade, as always lovely to read your posts, looking forward to them continuing πŸ˜€πŸ’•
I hope I haven’t missed anyone, blame it on age and memory! Have a wonderful productive weekend team, it’s your time now so enjoy. I hope the fires settle with the extra help from the mainland Doggy……stay in touch, I’ll chat later πŸ˜‰πŸ’xxxxxx

Mornin’ CG! You do alot better than me at remembering who said what. How are your glutes today? πŸ˜‰ Have a great weekend filled with lots of good times for you and your boys xx

    Thanks FIT

Fit, hi, just out of a very hot shower, she said I would feel like I’d been hit by a truck, I said I usually do, most of the time, she said well, this will be a double decker….she wasn’t wrong, easy day coming up for me I think, I can feel the nerves moving in my lower leg, which has been numb since my back surgery, so I’m really thrilled with what she has doneπŸ˜‰thank you for asking πŸ’•xxxxxx

Suejen, silly me, you are such a constant, and write such wonderful post ….how could I forget you? Have a lovely dayπŸ˜„πŸ’—xxxx

Fit,yes the migraine passed, few pain killers helped, and a long nap when I got home, had a couple of mind games, but done and dusted now, just hope it’s not the start of a cluster😟

As to keeping Indy quiet, all three just raced down the front steps off the deck, all barking their heads off, putting the wind up a rabbit grazing on my plants!
Follow up edit; now he is limping back hardly able to put his paw down…grr, yet he feels punished if I lock him in πŸ™„can’t win! xxxxxx

Morning to you too CG. Sadly I too suffer from Cluster Migraines and my doctor has advised when I feel them coming on (as you do) to take 3 disprin straight away (disrobed in water of course) and it lessens the pain to a plain headache which is when you take normal pain killers. This has worked every time and I am happy to say I have not had a cluster for nearly one year….touch wood!!!
Have a great weekend everyone xxx

Oh forgot to say thanks Bert for the grease tip. I am doing it now on the clean me cycle which takes 3 hours and uses only hot water. Fingers & everything else crossed

Hi Barb, thanks for the tip, I do have meds I take as soon as the “halo” starts and the flashing lights, and of course loss of vision, but need to take it immediately, when at my nurses station once, got one and a dear old doctor(sure he was in his 80’s!) sitting next to me, we were both doing our notes, said take dissolvable asprin straight away as it enters the blood stream quicker πŸ˜‰ buggars of things, can go 6 months with non, then 5-8 with in a week! xxxxx
