70.4!!!!! That’s my dream weight. Well done you.

Barb – that’s great news about getting your ipad sorted but sorry that you lost some photos. It’s awful being out of touch here when you have gotten used to the amazing support and encouragement of these wonderful ADers! Brilliant weight loss too; you are doing really well π
Genie – hope you had a good trip to ikea and that you got what you wanted. I have a bit of a love/hate relationship with ikea – I do like most of their products but I hate the conveyor belt system and the huge queues. Well done on your loss too!
CG – don’t you know that every farmer is outstanding in her own field!! π
Ah Fit no good to hear that your back is still giving you pain. Must be quite a bit to get you lying on the couch – unheard of! Hope the rest helps you to recover quickly. Have you had a back problem before?
Well this morning I weighed in about the same 71.7. But I’m not going to worry about it….what will that do?! I’m building some good habits in the meantime & that’s a big part of 5:2 as well. Decided yesterday after talking with OH to leave alcohol alone for a while till I get to where I want to be – apart from an occasional social/special occasion drink. I don’t know about anyone else but I find that after a FD I’m really looking forward to a drink (which is fine) but I’ve started pouring enormous glasses of wine as compared to a reasonable size. Then I might have another later in the day. And it’s not helping the weight loss. Also talked about needing to pick up our walking again, changing to early morning or evenings. Did evening last night & it was cooler & really enjoyed the cool breeze. And I want to work on making healthier choices rather than heading for treats or splurging on NFD’s. When I think about it there really shouldn’t be that much of a difference between FD’s and NFD’s – except that we can choose from an ENORMOUS range of healthy foods on our NFD’s, but……..they still should be healthy foods to feed our bodies well. Now I’m not going all nanny state and saying NO TREATS EVER or anything ridiculous and unsustainable but I want to generally eat good natural unprocessed food that is good for my body and for my weight loss.
Noots enjoy your FD and your line dancing. Nice to get back into the swing of things isn’t it. Hope the thumb’s doing OK?
CG a whole change of plan but sounds like a much better idea for you all…and you’ll love just pottering around the shops. Hope all your food doesn’t go to waste! Enjoy your family time. Totally with you on that wretched roll/pleat around the tummy. Not sure what we can do to get rid of it – maybe it will never go dunno. The problems of losing weight once you’re older I think, plus not being able to do that strenuous exercise that helped get our bods back. But clothes mostly cover it…well I try to make SURE they do!
Genie a kilo off this week – WOOOHOO FOR YOU!! Well done girl. Boy OH certainly moves in exalted circles. Is he a muso too?
Oh if anyone else gets into negative thinking territory re their weight loss/body etc here’s a good article from a really helpful lady about positive self talk: http://www.claireturnbull.co.nz/the-essential-step-to-take-if-you-really-want-to-get-healthier-this-year/
Have a great day all. Planning to take a picnic lunch & go walking to a beach somewhere. We have lots of beaches here you can walk to where you can be the only souls for miles. It’s very peaceful & beautiful. Nature at its best. sj XXXX
SJ – I injured my back in my early twenties and since then it is my weak point. I have a long back and it is easy to cause a few twinges if I’m not careful. I was just careless lifting a basket of washing and then turned to the side too quickly. It’s already feeling much better so I’m sure after a good night’s sleep, I’ll be fine. Good idea to get out walking again, I think it definitely helps. Don’t think I’ll be able to get out for a walk for the next few days as there is black ice everywhere and the temperatures are not expected to be much above freezing during the day and down to minus 4 at night. Eek!
Hi all, just a quickie as its half past midnight and I have promised myself some early nights!
CG, just read about doing 4-7-8 breathing to get off to sleep – as someone who spends most nights awake until dawn – though I never seem tired during the day – must be a Margaret Thatcher type – thought I would give it a go!
second fast day of the year done and dusted – so feel I’m back in the groove. OH moaned that he hadn’t lost weight instead of cutting right down and walking – he got a tad upset when I pointed out he had eaten a couple of shop bought rhubard pies in the past two days (I didn’t mention the rolls and sausage, toasted teacakes, or choc biscuits he had been eating) – he was sooo put out – told me off for my lack of support, said that there wasn’t much in rhubarb! Then he ate a snickers bar!
AND he will lose the 5 kilos he put on over Christmas in no time! Who said God was a woman?
So sorry to hear that Alan Rickman is dead, lusted after him for many, many years. Though not as snape! Hope they show Truly, Madly, Deeply! And David Bowie earlier this week, lifelong fan, saw him in 1972! Feeling rather mortal this week! Though a dear friend just celebrated her 100th birthday – physically a tad frail but the sharpest mind!
Going to be another cold night – and another cold and frosty morning! Keep warm Fit! Keep cool everyone else.
Sorry, wasn’t such a quickie!
travel hopefully ………….
Hello team. PH I agree with you about setting boundaries and sticking to them. I’ve had to read the riot act last night. I did not lose my temper, but stayed cool, clam and collected. So I set some boundaries and told Lew there would be consequences. So far it’s working. Sigh! PH yes I think the treatment of Aborigines in this country is appalling. If anyone has not seen ” The rabbit proof fence”, they should. We have no right to criticise others on thier racist attitudes.
WB I too have resorted to going to bed if the hunger pangs or temptation get too much. SJ, Jade it is a good idea to have nibbles about in the way of veggies. I often have a bit of cucumber or small cherry tomatoe while preparing a salad for later. Fit I’m sorry about your back. Do rest up and take it easy till it’s better. Walking the hound on icy roads sounds fraught with danger. CG I hope you are having a good time with your girls. It also got really cold here last night and this morning. I had to put the heater on for a few hours. The weather certainly is very unpredictable. At least 5 years ago , our son in law was part of a team that drove a solar powered car from Darwin to Adelaide. The technology for greener power supply is available. It’s just more profitable ( in the short term) to keep burning fossil fuels and continue to pollute the atmosphere and our planet. Barb I’m glad you’ve got your iPad back. Did you not have your photos backed up to iCloud? If you did you should be able to retrieve them. Genie I too have read Stieg Larsons books. I enjoyed them all. Pity he died so young. SJ re your decision to stop having alcohol for a while. I’ve tied it a few times and did lose weight. The trouble was that I started to feel resentful so started again and soon piled the weigh back on. What I’ve done for years is to dilute my wine. Half water, half wine. In the beginning I found it a tad insipid but now enjoy it. I also feel I can have 3 glasses of wine and am actually only having one and a half – if you get my drift.
Enjoy the day team. Three days no fasting yippe. I’ve managed to lose 500 gms this week. Could have been better but could have been a lots worse so I’m happy with that.
ππππ
Thanks everyone for their support! I went to bed at 2030 last night to stop any snacking and guess what?
I lost a whopping 2.1 Kgs!! That more than makes up for not losing any the week before. And that’s probably a kilo off each boob as my measurements aren’t that different and don’t feel like I’ve lost a whole heap . all things aside I’m pleasantly happy with my progress . it’s so good to have a nonFD !! This diet is helping our budget too!
Congrats Wobbly – good for you! Just checking in fast after forcing myself thru the US pres debate, caramba…now it’s way past my bedtime…. Fit I’ve had the same back thing, poor you, hope it heals fast, maybe cut out those sideways ninja moves, for now. Take care! Doggy, been thinking about you so much, I’m glad the boundaries have helped with Lew – so hard knowing what will work and what will backfire and make things harder for all. Hang in there! Love to all xxx
Good grief folks, if one could lose weight with shock I’d have lost a kilo earlier on. For our honorary Aussies, a blue tongue lizard is as it sounds. A lizard with w blue tongue BUT they can grow to a large size. I’ve just found Pepper trying to attack one that is at least a foot long. Sorry to all reptile fans but they are hideous and scary unitil one sees the legs. They look like a snake wiht the same markings. Anyhow with the aid of a large stick to bang on the side of the water tank I managed to make enough noise for Pepper to look round giving the creature time to slither away. Hopefully into someone else’s garden! They are harmless but have given me many a fright over the years.
OH and a mate have taken Lew fishing along one of the local rivers. It’s blissfully peaceful for the moment.
Fit was it St Francis who supposedly rid Ireland of snakes? Good job St F, I wish you’d come to Australia.
WB congrats you are kicking this WOL….2.1kg!! Yes well and truly makes up for not losing last week. And will really help you next time you don’t lose to hang in there and stand your ground. Good thinking re the alcohol. I had a glass of my lemon syrup (from our lemon tree) with water & ice & was satisfied but do need to buy some sparkling mineral water. It adds that extra touch that helps make up for the no alcohol factor! Did miss it but made it that’s the important bit!!
Boy Jade bet that was a long one. Was it interesting though or just all rhetoric & answering a question with an irrelevant answer that rams home their platform? sj XXX
Late posting today ..slept in..then had visitors then D called in on her way to airport to dop off more visitors then went to get beautified..toenails, eyebrow and face wax. A bit of shopping and the day is gone. I am having a very successful no3 FD so will weigh again tomorrow and see what the scales say..be interesting as I have not done a 3 Day fast before.
Jade. Thanks for the nice words. Re your mums earring. My dear old mum would always pray to sSt Francis when she had exhausted all efforts to find something. Worked every time. Mind you I think she had a direct line up as she had such strong faith. I too do this out of habit after mum would tell me to do it all the time..π Good on you for doing another FD ..how did it go?.
Genie. ..great FD. Congratulations…and great shopping..I love nothing better than a really good shop where you have lots of atuff to get… Yes Camp Creative is on at the moment..lots of the bridge ladies go to it so quite a few missing yesterday. I’ll have to go myself one day to see what it is all about. Now that I am retired and have time to be creative..hahaha..I too often think about how this thread has changed my life and the support it has given me..such a great bunch..all full of old fashioned care and support with a good laugh thrown in regularly for good measure..ππππ€πππππππππππ
FIT. Look after that back. Rest is the way to go..
Hope you are doing well on your FD Noots. It is nice to have a cool day..π¦π¦π¦π¬π¬
CG you have an endless supply of great quotes. They are so good. I imagine you are having a lovely shopping day with Your lovely girls. Enjoy every minute my friend. π ππππ
GG. Hope you are OK in Sydney and weren’t in the part of last nights storm..it sure was a doozy.ββπ¨π¨
Noots.. Bad storms everywhere!!and yes how’s your thumb.? I used to do line dancing for a time. Very good exercise..
Barb.. Great about the replacement iPad ..bummer about losing everything though..especially photos..do you back up to the cloud with your photos? I’d do it but not sure how it actually works..waiting for all daughters visitors to go so I can have a technical day with her to explain it all to me.
Thoroughly enjoyed the movie today. My treat was a small packet of Kettle sea salt crisps. They were delicious but when I scanned the barcode they were 238 cals!!!!!
SJ – OH was a muso, a singer actually and had his own band many years ago. His brother has his own band.
WB – Wow, fabulous effort. A real incentive to go on.
Hi all, really enjoyed the cool day today. Helped OH clean up our bathroom after he and the plumber installed the new vanity unit. OH has done a great job putting the flat pack together and it looks great.
Thanks for asking about my thumb. It’s coming along well but still twinges now and then. Seeing the physio and surgeon on Wednesday. Hoping for a good report. Still taking Panadol Osteo for the pain.
Just watched the cricket. Good game. I much prefer one day matches and 20 20 are usually even better. Good night all.
Just logged n before bed. This is such an interesting list. PH how do you remember what everyone says specifically. I am in awe of you. I didn’t backup to iCloud because they charge you after 5gb and I am embarrassed to say I had twice that much and I wasn’t paying for it!!!! Sometimes paying $$ for something valuable is worth it isn’t it π₯π₯π₯
Anyway I hope all the bad backs, thumbs, hips, knees etc all disappear and we wake up pain free and slim. Hahahaha. Goodnight/morning all. xxx
Hi Folks well you’re probably all in bed apart from maybe Fit and Jade?! I had a great eating day today practising my healthier habits that will hopefully have me losing again. I had no wine. WB I followed your lead & bought sparkling mineral water & quite like it with a splash of lime & ice. So that got me through the “I want a wine” barrier – had several glasses in fact & didn’t have to worry about the calories, I thought that was pretty terrific! Also ate quite a bit of my vegie nibbles during the day when I thought about bread or cake or biscuits etc. Went for another long walk tonight in the cool so 3 days in a row now.
Didn’t end up going to the beach as was too hot & too many people this time of year. We usually go later once the school holidays are over. But I am going to go down for a swim earlyish tomorrow morning as I do miss it. Have to parade around in my new bathers somewhere!
Fit well done….you’re down 600…you little ripper! That’s aussie for you did really great Fit!! Anyway what do you mean ONLY 600??? I’d LOVE to be down by 500 or 600 so be grateful girl. It’s all those ninja moves on the dance floor or else you’ve been frantically exercising so you look nice in the ninja gown!
Noots good to hear your thumb is coming along well.
Genie yes those crisps are a nightmare aren’t they! Such a small packet for so many calories.
Well off to snack on some more vegie sticks & then laze on the couch. sj XXXX
Morning/Evening All!
At long last I get to post. Absolutely freezing here today so have been doing quite alot of grazing!! We had a little sprinkling of snow yesterday afternoon and then it froze on top of that, so the roads and paths are treacherous. Going to be minus 5 tonight, the coldest yet!! Hope you doing ok Milena – I’m sure it’s even colder with you. Well done for getting back into the fasting groove. Your OH is a scream; but as you said, he’ll probably lose the weight in no time….it’s a real bummer! Sad to hear about Alan Rickman, he had the most beautiful speaking voice; I could have listened to him forever….very sexy!
SJ – thank you and everybody for the concern about my back – it’s much better now. Also thanks for the kind words about my weight loss; yes, I am happy enough- any loss has to be good. Well done you for all the good habits you are putting in place – they will all pay off, I’m sure! π
Barb – you are a great addition to this thread too and we love having you! Brilliant loss too – yippee!! Outstanding as CG would say!! As for your photos; we’re all wise with hindsight!! Hope all goes well with new ipad. OH and I waiting for his IT guy to talk to us about new equipment so I’ll be waiting a while yet get new tablet.
Noots – best of luck with check-up on your thumb and sounds like you’ve done a lovely job on your bathroom – isn’t it great to give a room a makeover? π
PH – three fasts in one week is fantastic – you have amazing will-power! When I’m in France during the summer, they have fab white peaches in the markets, so juicy and sweet – yum!! Hope you had a lvoely day being pampered π
Genie – glad you enjoyed the movies and your treat…we all deserve one from time to time.
Dawg – I’m sure I’d run a mile if I saw a blue-tongued lizard. It was St. Patrick who supposedly ran the snakes out of Ireland – another reason for making him one of our patron saints! Well done on the loss too – very similar to mine so we’ll soldier on together.
Jade – just saw a few snippets of the Rep candidates debate….OMG; what a bunch! God help us all if Trump becomes president!
WB – that’s an incredible loss for you too; our newbies are certainly showing us all how it’s done!! Great idea to limit the wine intake like that too; well done! π
CG – hope you’ve been having a wonderful time with your girls. Did you buy anything nice for yourself on the shopping trip? Has the weather settled down at all – that was some contrast in temperature!! I’m sure all your delicious food was well appreciated and I hope you’re getting in some nana naps too so that you’re not too tired when your visitors leave xxxx
Hi Aussies β busy Friday for me, thank goodness thatβs over. PH, thanks for the extra Saint – I asked St. Anthony (patron of lost things), even vacuumed with my hand-held and sifted the contents every 5 minutes. Nothing yet, maybe Francis can help me. And God bless mums, mine also had a direct line heavenward ο
Fit, congrats on the 600 g! And Genie with a kilo! And WB, and Barb and who else? PH youβll surely join that crowd. I found some of the loss (yet canβt find an earring??) as Iβm up half a lb. Apparently my bread sins werenβt quite erased. I didnβt manage a second FD either, though several attempts resulted 1000ish days.
But SJ, though I fell short of the FD goal, I did remember your advice about just eating more of the FD foods on nFDs. That really hit the advice target for me. Honestly, youβd think I was handling live grenades instead of food sometimes. Ah well, Iβm having a pretty good time here, canβt imagine what perfect people must say to each other. They canβt be much fun!
Speaking of which, yep the pres debate was a hot-air fest for the most part. Did enjoy a few bits, mostly when someone was getting his *** served back to him on a platter. Ted Cruz tested his new sound-bite against Trump for having βNew York valuesβ Ha, Iβm no Trump fan but did have to admire his 9/11 put-down of that line.
Eek Doggy the blue-tongued lizard, oh help me if I ever saw one of those. Unless itβs tiny like our skinks? OH GEESH I JUST GOOGLED HIM, they are not tiny. Says theyβre popular as pets? Yikes, I would get some excellent cardio if I ever saw one of those. Happy weekend to all β jade xxx
CG just crossed with you, wishing you lovely times with your dear girls π
CG – so sorry to hear that Leah is having such a hard time with psoriasis and its complications. But if anyone can help her through it, it will be her amazing mum. Your grit, spirit and example will be there for her to draw on every step of the way. Hoping she gets some answers and the best treatment possible.
Jade – there’s a supposed unfailing prayer to St. Anthony which I will try and remember – too long to write out here but I’ll see if I can ask on your behalf. A half a lb is nothing; a mere shuffle on the scales would probably get rid of that!! π Doing several 1000 cal days is brilliant and you are integrating lots of healthy habits into your life and so that will be a lifelong blessing.
Morning all. Or
I should probably say afternoon. I have slept In Till 10am..wow..never do that. I have lost another .2 kg making the week .8 so happy with that.πππππ
Analysis of a 3 fast day week:- . Very hard to make myself do this but I was determined and kept myself busy..I felt tired onthe third day and when I went to my pampering lady she commented that my skin was different, possibly dryer so must have not drank enough water. Hunger wise it was quite easy just cucumber till 4.30 and then my two eggs. Dinner ….100 grams chicken grilled with no oil in stone wear pan, with broccoli, cauliflower, zuchini and sweet potato steamed . Then zucchini, ; sweet potato into the same frypan to brown. And then some steamed spinach, onion with a little bit of Feta cheese crumbled through it. This is the go to meal that OH cooks for me on Fast Days just alternating the protien ie.fish, lamb etc so cals vary depending on protein.Cal range from 205 to 250 depending on cals, veg amounts etc. this one was 240. Anyway decided that this was not a good idea to do as you do feel like you are on a diet and that takes away from the wonderful feeling of freedom the 5.2 gives you. So the verdict. It worked weight loss wise but not worth going back to the feeling that I was on a diet…Won’t do it again…π€π€π€π€π€
PH – you must have needed the sleep so no feeling guilty about the lie in! It is certainly true that we need to be extra vigilant about fluid intake on FDs because it’s amazing how much fluid/water we get from our food and we’re missing that on FDs. I’m sure you still look beautiful after your day at the beautician’s xx
Morning everyone. I was interested to see (as a longtime daily weigher) that my healthy habits paid of yesterday. So I know it’s a given that I will put weight on in between FD’s however yesterday I went down by .2 just by not having big glasses of wine & the only thing I ate between meals or for the evening munchies was vegies ie carrot cucumber capsicum & celery. I just grab 4 or 5 pieces out of my container & away I go….quite satisfied. I’m sure it’s just a need or habit for something to munch on but usually for me it might be nuts or crackers or cheese or a slice of bread. So replacing these with veg is a good move & lowers my cals. So will continue today & see how we go.
PH very interesting to see your analysis. You’re a thoughtful lady putting it out here so others can weigh it up. I think I’ll continue with what I’m doing & won’t go down the 3 FD road. Thank you. We’re on a marathon not a sprint as CG always says. GO the freedom of 5:2.
Jade and Doggy I posted a pic on FB a while back for my american DIL of a bluetongue or a stumpytail as we call them here (OR a shingleback!) It was pretty up close and personal. We have a family of 4 or 5 living in our yard. Her reply was something like What the *##%& is that. YOU have those IN YOUR BACK YARD????? Please don’t tell me you have?! I replied & said they wandered around the garden & were quite harmless – which they are. But my D who used to work in an animal refuge posted Mmm you haven’t had their jaws around your fingers while you’re trying to fix them up!!
CG so glad to hear your food went down a treat but not glad to hear about the psoriatic arthritis possibility – my D was checked out for that too for a while but got cleared. Do hope they can put their finger on exactly what it is very soon & get her sorted or started on some treatment. Mama bear just look after her today & give her your special hugs. {{{ }}}
Well off to get my day started & have that lovely swim I promised myself. It’s turning cloudy today so I’m just hoping I’ll get the swim in before it clouds over – not the same without the sunshine! Then spending a day practising & refining my healthy habits. Have a beaut day all doing something you love – for me it’s a swim and then probably a good old read. suejen XXXX
Genie. Well done on having your pkt of chips..OK in the scheme of things on a non fast day..that’s why this WOL works..and OH a musio and from a musical family. Lots of music and laughter in your household then..how wonderful. π§π§π€π€
Noots. How great to have a new vanity and glad your thumb is improving.πππ
SJ . You are really getting into it this year. Good on you. Will have to try the sparkling mineral water with lime and ice, I usually do soda water. And walking 3 days in a row..keep it up. I somehow imagined you living inland not on the coast so get on down and parade those new bathers. πππhaha. What is the name of the town you live near again? I’ll look it up on the map. The vegie sticks are a great idea..I do cucumber cos I love it and carrot too hard to eat with false teeth..ππππ
Fit. 600 is great..keep it up girl. Seems like your OH is the same as my youngest son. researches everything thoroughly before making a decision. A trait I would be better off with sometimes. Hopefully get your IT sorted out soon..meanwhile those ninja moves are good exercise. πππ
Oh CG . What a time your daughter is having, the eyes are so precious and of course you are gutted..our children are such a part of us and it breaks our hearts to see them suffer ππ So good that she was with you these last couple of days..first Teehz and now this. She has your fighting spirit luckily and you will be amazed at her strength. I. Sure you will keep feeling positive with her and support her through this like you do everything else. Sending {{{πππ}}}
Jade. Yes wondered why mum prayed to st Francis and asked her once..she said st Anthony was too busy with all the other lost things so thought she would give someone else the job who would not be so busy. When I went to Italy I visited the home of st Francis and thanked him for finding stuff for mum..and toasted him with Asti richodonna wine cooled in a bidet..(can’t spell so looked up ” french bottom washer” and it came up with the spelling for me.haha. ) When my friend and I were travelling around Europe we were very frustrated that you could buy wine everywhere but could not find a fridge for love nor money..so used the bidet..to cool it down a little.
To everyone else. Live life to the fullest and make the most of every moment..πππππ
Hello team. Jade and Fit, back to the Blue tongue lizard story. That’s not my worst encounter with Australian beasties. When we first immigrated here, almost 40 years ago now, I was hanging up some washing on the clothesline on a hot summers day. I happened to look down and there about a foot away from me was a very large reptilian head. OMG I swear I managed to do a gigantic leap right from where I was to the kitchen door. When I recounted this story later to my fellow nurses they howled with laughter and told me it was only a Goanna and they were harmless. The real name is Iguana. This one was at least 2 1/2 feet long. I still find them scary. SJ yes I’m told the bite from a Blue tongue can be nasty. Pepper was out looking for it again this morning.
CG I’m so sorry to read about Leah’s health issues. You’ve all had a bad trot Healthwise.
PH I had a laugh at your story about using the bidet as a wine chiller. I used to use it to wash my feet in. We’ve also been to Assisi. Italy is really a beautiful county.
SJ I’ve just had a read of the blog you mentioned in an earlier post. It’s very interesting about our internal dialogue often being negative instead of positive.
I also, watched the cricket last night. It was a good match. It would appear that India is not as strong a team as they were a year or so back. Time will tell.

Hi all,PH I loved your use of the bidet to cool your wine! Never used one for anything yet. Had a good result this week, back down to 61.4 kg. Now to get below 61, next week!
Another lovely cool day today. OH and I slept in till 7.30 this morning, must have been catching up after the last couple of really hot nights. Raining again, love it!
Got myself a cheap version of a Fitbit this week. Want to get up to 10,000 steps a day. Nowhere near today as we had visitors so sat and talked all afternoon. Ah well, maybe tomorrow.
Hi all. Just had to share my treat for today. I finally looked up how many cals in Peters No Added Sugar ice cream. And you can have 100 grams for 122 cals. If you add seven lychees 49 cals then you can have a lovely treat for 171cals. Oh I did enjoyπππ filling up on fruit today as I need the carbs..and I love it. Very sluggish..πππ having honey mustard chicken on rice for dinner. All within my limit. Byexxx
Hi again, yes CG I am only 154 cm tall so need to be about 59 kg to reach the BMI of 25. Sounds easy but I’ve been trying to get there for a couple of years now. Ideal weight for height is about 53 kg but I’ll settle for 57, which is what I got to with Weight Watchers about 8 years ago. Didn’t keep it off then, but this time I will with 5:2 and AD.
Afternoon/morning all. Well…….I am sewing my granddaughters quilt and reading our conversations. I have to tell you I haven’t had a drink or rice or my favourite….bakers delight bread since I started my 5:2 way of life. I would kill for a sandwich, or a bag of chips, yes I saw that!!! I don’t drink a lot because I have an allergy to sulphur and sadly unless it is preservative free (which usually tastes awful) they all have sulphur so one glass is usually my limit. If I have more it’s like I have been on the tiles all night…..very unfair.
Didn’t go to water Zumba yesterday, decided I would stick with water aerobics and strength training (whenever that’s starts) and that will do.
I didn’t realise bidets had so many uses. My friend always washes her undies in there when she is OS. I much prefer the wine use πππ
You are right CG I have never come across such great friendships as quickly as the members of the Aussie Determination group. It’s good to be able to say anything and not feel self conscious or feel like you are being judged or needing to “keep up with the Jones’s”
Now back to the sewing machine. Have a great day ladies.
Oh, forgot to say I had a pet blue tongue when I was a girl. I love them xxx Also goannas are only large lizards, they won’t hurt you unless they think you are after them. Had one come into our tent site just last year, easily 8 foot long. Just looked around and kept walking through. Amazing creatures, throw back from prehistoric days.
Barb well someone has to go into bat for Blue Tongues and Goannas. Good on you but I still don’t like them. BT as I’ll now call him has taken up residence in the flower bed at the bottom of our back veranda. I have to walk past it every time I go outside. When I take the pooch out tonight for his late night widdle I’m going to be needing a very bright torch. Maybe I need to move back to the city. Rapists, burglars, drug pushers, what the hell I’ll take my chance with BT.
CG I never have coffee after midday. Also some very chocolaty desserts can cause insomnia. I hope you manage to get a good nights zizz again tonight. Yes I’m sure looking forward to some me time. Mind you my OH took Lewis down to the beach for a few hours today for which I was truely thankful. His behaviour has been better since I read him the riot act. I’m sure he has a touch of Aspergers as he’s very smart at board games.
Yes well our kids. We still worry about them. Our son turned 50 today. It feels like only yesterday that I was literally crawling around the floor of the labour room. At the time I do remember thinking that our Midwifery tutor was right when she said ” I wish I could have you all back after you’ve given birth “.

Well, God damn and blast it!! Just lost a big long post and haven’t the time to write it all again! π So in a nutshell:
My back is fine thanks.
Congrats to all the losers and those setting up good eating habits.
Well done to all you amazing crafty people on your creations.
Best of luck to all with health issues and hope the answers can be found soon.
Enjoy the weekend and don’t forget the four p’s for next week!
Take care all and I hope I can get back here later on today/this evening/whatever the time zone!!
Fit, how sweet are you to speak to St. Anthony for me, thank you. I took to the baseboards with a flashlight again last night, no luck. Today I may investigate the interior of the plumbing (I have my ways). I feel for you on the lost post, I wonder if St. Anthony has a whole stack of our lost posts and is having a good time reading them.
PH, how wise of your mum to think about how busy the saints were, I bet she was quite the family manager. I laughed so hard thinking about your using the bidet as a cooler! Thanks also for the full report on 4:3 – I tried a variation this week, having 1 good FD and 2 attempts that fell short, so it is good to hear you donβt recommend a redo.
Dawg, yay for some me time and a wonderful OH, seems Lew needed the riot act for a reset, the way all of us need our own resets. Re the BTβ¦ Iβd sure prefer the odd lizard to city crime, too. But Barb HAHA, theyβre βonly large lizardsβ (8 feet?? = gigantic scary lizard). But they do sound like gentle creatures, I guess Iβm judging a book by its cover. A scary book with a prehistoric head. Iβm more a rom-com girl. Btw have you cut out the white carbs? Sounds like youβre doing great.
Noots you too, and glad your thumb is feeling better. Iβm short too, arenβt our tdees microscopic? But yes, we can do it!
Cheers to you too SJ – giving up the wine, nuts, and cheese for veggie sticks? Well done. I know I said it was a good idea, but I havenβt actually DONE it. Actually working again this week seemed almost a hill too far; Iβm easing back into 5:2 though with all your help.
CG, it is so like you to give an upbeat report on your girls β no wonder they are both so resilient, those apples didnβt fall far from the tree. Iβm glad your weather is cooler, or maybe it just seems so with the fruit smoothies. Wishing you the best for more hopeful news.
Time for Saturday chores! I love Sat mornings, I take the puppies with me on my errands to the recycling center, the bakery, and all around town. As soon as they hear the bottles and cans clinking, they get so excited. Great catching up with all of you this morning, must run, but hugs to those I missed, Milena thank you and others for the shout-out to Bowie and Rickman, RIP to those great talents. xxxx
Hi to this awesome group.
Stayed longer than anticipated Sydney as mum had a fall in the shopping centre during the week . She sustained a few nasty lacerations and bruising. She was wearing a pair of leather soles flats that had not been rubber soled and this happened.
What a lot of pots to catch up on.
Congrats to all that have achieved outstanding kg losses.
I, myself , am now 72.5 kgs. I did a 4:3 fast last week. I found it easy then my famous B2B.
CG-hope all will be fine with your D.
Off to do the weeks shopping for the week.
Enjoy your Sunday and use the 4 P’s in your week to ensure your continued success with this WOL and WOE……. CHEERS ….GO GAL XXXXXX
