Hi All!
Well the good news is I have no aches and pains after all the yard work yesterday…the bad news is the scales haven’t moved a jot since last week!! Definitely on a plateau so Gyps, send me the number for those Plateau Busters pleeeeeeeese!!!!
CG – so sorry to hear you are still not feeling well and hope you find the answer soon. Meanwhile, take it easy and listen to your body – you know the drill. Hugs to you (((( ))))
GG – what a lovely birthday treat for your friend and how wonderful that she could see how much you’ve changed. You are right to be so proud of your arms and shoulders and I’ve no doubt that you will continue to see improvements in the tummy area too xxxx Tried on my sister’s dress and it fits but doesn’t suit me very well. So I dragged out lots of outfits from the back of the wardrobe and found a fifties style skirt which I love and I’m going to treat myself to a new top to go with it.
UP – I had to laugh at your comment about stones and kg! I’m always trying to work out the comparison because I grew up using stones and pounds and I can’t really think in kg at all. I’m 10st3lbs at the moment which I think is 65.5kg. I would love to get down to 10st or lower but can’t seem to shift those last few lbs…so near and yet so far. I’m at the very top of my wriggle room and any slackening sees me gain a kg or two overnight!!
SJ – good luck with the clear out and the sewing. What a lovely project to be working on; those little girls are very lucky indeed!
Doggy – how wonderful of that farmer’s wife to give the foxes a safe haven. There is a move on here to have drag hunting (which just uses scent for the hounds and horses to follow) rather than a live quarry – much more humane. It’s becoming more popular, so hopefully that will replace the traditional hunting soon. Figures for obesity and diabetes are very scary indeed, especially in young children.
PH – I hope the new meds bring you relief soon and that you don’t have to stay on them for long. Unlike most other people though, you are on 5:2, so you have a secret weapon to help counteract weight gain….best of luck! π
Gyps – hope you feeling very virtuous after all the spring cleaning and that the bourbon did the trick!! π
Welcome, Isbutter – you will probably lose alot quite quickly in the beginning and then the losses slow down. Your target is doable, I think, but remember that Christmas comes right in the middle and it can be hard not to overindulge with all the goodies on offer. Whatever you lose, you will be doing yourself and your health a great favour and you will look and feel much better by next March. Read the book, if you haven’t already and work out your TDEE (in the How It Works heading at the top of this page). Then plan and prepare for your fast days in advance so that you are not derailed by unforseen circumstances. Ask any questions you like here and someone will answer you. Best of luck!!
French class and ballroom dancing today so I’m also trying to fast, as I will be well distracted. I have lunch out tomorrow, my usual FD but will try to exercise portion control…wish me luck!
