  • Hi Noots, welcome aboard. I also was a Heyer fan in girlhood. Your goal seems achievable (you must be a such a tiny girl!). Looks like you have a good concept of what works already. It is just nice to have likeminded others to use as a sounding board. And we all enjoy new points of view. All credit to you for taking the first steps to a healthier WOE (way of eating). from my point of view, it’s just nice to know that 55kgs still exists! Stay tuned! I depend on you to prove it! Welcome {{{hugs}}} gyps

CG, I think you’re right about 1 kg at a time. tomorrow is another day. best foot forward. nite xx

hi all. What a great day. I have just read all the posts and it seems that most of you have recommitted…to breaking the plateau and losing some more.. Each with their own way of tackling the losses.. Some 1Kg at a time, some 3kgs and some 5. Whatever your personal goal may you achieve it…
WE CAN AND WILL BLOODY WELL DO THIS….ALL OF US.
    ????lots of vegetables. ????a little fruit and not many if these ? ? ? ? ? ?..
We can all now make a combined commitment to be as focused as we can possibly be and see what we can achieve pre Christmas..come on girls. WE CAN DO THIS…..????????

Great that you are home CG. {{{xx }}}.. Fit.. Imagine you have had a wonderful weekend..

Welcome Noots.. Good luck and echo the thoughts of gyps.

    Nite nite???

Good morning team and happy fast day. We all know the benefits, we have all had great success over the past year, we know the tricks, and we all know the joy of seeing the numbers drop on the scales ? and for some reason Monday seems to be the easiest fasting day for most of us. The weather is putting in a good show of warmth, perfect salad days and easier to down plenty of water. YOU CAN DO IT, we have sailed through tougher times, so today will be a breeze ☺️
To our newer members, a hard boiled egg for mid to late arvo helps the gurgles, mineral water or zero coke is filling and no cals if your struggling. Eat as late as possible as the hunger dragon seems to want more if you eat early. Use smaller plates or bowls, we eat with our eyes mostly, so if it looks ample, …it is ? some find fruit a no no on fast days, but if that is what you want, have it, count ALL cals, no matter how insignificant it seems. We are AUSSIE DETERMINATION we know 5:2 is working for us, WE ARE NOT ALONE log on and share the pressures you feel, we will back you up, we will support you, and stay busy, sitting brings about boredom then the nibbles start! If at work, grab some carrot straws, of vegie pieces to nibble if needed, and STOP obsessing about food. It’s habit, you can do without. It’s only one day and YOU CAN DO IT.
You CAN have milk in your morning coffee, it’s more filling and carries you through. ☺️
Today is the first day of the rest of your life, so make a healthy start and the rewards will be yours…have a positive day ? xxxxxxxx

Thank you countrygal and gypsybell for making me feel so welcome to this group. Does anyone hail from Port Stephens NSW, my area? I will be making pumpkin and lentil soup this afternoon to keep me going tomorrow,my fast day. Lots of activities planned to keep me busy. I know I can do this. Once I reach my goal weight I plan to fast once a week to maintain it. Have a great week everyone.

Welcome Noots. Nice to have you with us. I also read These old Shades as a schoolgirl. It looks as though you’ve got the hang of this way of eating already. Don’t be hesitant to ask any questions. There is invariably someone who will have the answer.
Gyps thanks for advice re my little ratbag. Poodles were actually originally bred in Germany as hunting and retrieving dogs so I guess it’s in their nature. Yes I think all cat owners can relate to having some poor dead bird or mouse proudly brought to them.
FD here too today. I usually have two boiled eggs for brekkie and then a light salad for lunch. Supper is usually Miso soup. It’s boring but only twice a week so as CG so often says – It’s doable. I’m sure if I cut down on the vino on NFDs I’d lose the weight quicker. I do not want this to become a very restrictive diet though as I know I’d feel resentful and just decide to chuck it in. This way it’s only two days a week so it’s not hard. In the beginning I was losing a kilo a week. This has stopped and now it’s more like a kilo a month. IF I’m lucky.
    Enjoy the day team.
    XX Doggy
    ???????

Morning Doggy, my Maggie (the cat) often brings in gifts proudly for me, mice, bats, a rat once, and baby rabbits! Very proud of herself, the boys love it because they play chasey with the poor victim until it’s heart gives out…..and spoils their game ?
My weight is the same, I lost heaps in the beginning but everywhere we read it does say the closer we get to our “goal” the slower the losses become. We can’t force our bodies to weigh a certain weight, without starvation I guess, because the difference in our builds, heritage, normal feeds on normal days are different to others. Like you say, we don’t want 5:2 being a diet as such and not too restrictive. No one our age wants to be another “Twiggie” ( for those of you old enough to remember her) as long as we are comfortable and healthy in our own skins, we should be happy, I am, being a size 14 and around 75k suits me, 70k would be nice, but is that an ego thing?
Enjoy your day and fell positive…? xxxxxx

Motning all well if I’m quick it will still be morning for all you east coasters! Have to get used to that 3 hour gap now. Yes on to another fast day. PH as you say Focus ….focus! CG yes it is the easiest of the fast days and should be a breeze. No dramas at all. CG I dont feel comfortable in my own skin yet so need to kick some more weight to the kerb starting with this week! Suejen xxxx

Hi all and welcome Noots. Your way of eating resembles mine greatly.

Doggie, I read that cats bringing us gifts are actually them trying to teach us to hunt! They are showing us the right way to get food and they show the same thing to their kittens. Perhaps they do care after all! 😉
My labradoodle did once eat a possum but we don’t know the details, I am hoping it had the misfortune to die in our yard!

I mentioned my grandmother’s Mills and Boon’s but I also read Heyer. My favourite genre is historical fiction and I remember reading lots of Jean Plaidy/ Victoria Holt etc back in the day.

CG, glad things went well for your granddaughter. I totally get what you are saying about photos etc.
Yes, I started at 76 but had no idea how overweight I really was for my frame. And don’t forget that 76 can be Completely Different for 2 different people! Height, frame, bones, muscle, fluid and a whole lot else comes into play.

Anyway, I knew I could lose a few but hadn’t really weighed myself so didn’t actually realise that that is what I weighed! I would dress to make the best of myself, look in the mirror while standing up straight, holding in the tummy etc and think I looked fine. In reality, that posture lasts about 5 minutes and the photos really do bring you down to earth. Completely demoralising but in my case, a catalyst for change. Plus I want to live a long time!

Fasting today and while not exactly brimming with enthusiasm, I will do it, just like all my 5/2 sisters and feel better for it tomorrow.

CG, you have done really well to lose that weight and you have had a lot to deal with in recent months. I think you will find small changes like no butter will make a difference. You remind me of my sister who loves the combination of tuna and beetroot!

And Gypsy, you too have had a lot to deal with but both you ladies do so much to keep everyone else’s spirits up (in more way than one if Gypsy’s plan comes through!) You have both done well and will continue to do so with a little of that determination.

I walked a lot on the weekend, took the dog to the beach yesterday, but also went out for brunch, and caught up with folk for drinks yesterday who are up from down south. Had some yummy gin cured ocean trout that was actually healthy, sort of! Of course my daughter did bring home calamari and chips for everyone to counteract any pats on the back I may have been planning!

I have walked the dog this morning and now to keep busy! Have a good day all!

Up thank you for the kind and encouraging words. I’m mowing now, smoko time so reading posts, your right it all comes into play and we can’t compare our scales digits to others. I know another 5 k off would be healthier, might even help get rid of that bloody tummy roll! That’s what I’m aiming for now, we can’t NOT have the roll, but it would be nice if it shrunk!. Photos DO show the real us, unfortunately, we stand in front of a mirror with our best pose, then relax as soon as we walk away ? I think my pride is still happy with my loss and now it’s the hard yards, and I’m struggling! Everything seems happy where it is….stuck on….just doesn’t want to leave me….but….I CAN DO THIS and I’m determant to WIN ?….well I hope anyway, I can only try……..like all of us team.
By the way, your Sydney gift just has arrived, by courier, I’m very happy with it, I hope you are too ? And no guessing!!!! No it’s not tall, dark and handsome either, besides if it was, it would be useless by the time March arrived….if you get my gist ?

Hi all, not doing a fast day today as visitors arriving in about half an hour for two days. I did my Monday fast on Saturday and so will fast again pm Wednesday or Thursday this week. So hopefully not too many ???with my friends..

You are exactly right CG. Your ideal weight is where you are comfortable with in your own mind and body. Which is why I am aiming at 87kg. Much heavier than the rest of you but I had a great figure in my young life and fluctuated between 10.5 and 11 stone, . I will be Extatic if I reach 87 as the lowest I have been in the last 35 years is 90kg and was super comfortable at that. ???I remember twiggy. Was never like that.

Doggy I think it’s that 1kg per month is great after your initial loss. I would be happy with that. ???

Noots. Port Stephens is a beautiful part of the world. We visited there last year and vowed to return for a holiday.. Love pumpkin & lentil soup.??? Must try it on a fast day.

Suejen. You can kick start again I am sure of that. You sound like such a positive person. Good luck with whatever you want to do.???

Ali327, Hi just trying to get started. to late to do a fast day as have had cereal an 2 coffees with milk thismorn. Will try a fast day tomorrow. Really don’t know what im doing yet, but here goes. Really need to lose 20kl as health suffering.

Hi Ali and welcome, my first advise would be GET THE BOOK, the basics are very easy, in the How section at the top of this page, go into it and work out your TDEE, they are the amount of cals you can have on normal days, two days a week you have only 500 cal, (F) and 600 cals (M) You are starting at the right time with the heat on the way and salads, of all sorts, are easy foods to eat. Have a protein with each meal, meat, fish, eggs…..to help you feel fuller. Drink plenty of water on the two fasting days especially…..and just watch the weight fall off you ? it’s that easy. We will guide and support you, so log in daily with your updates, foods etc and we can help with any questions. So Ali, consider yourself as part of the AUSSIE DETERMINATION team, welcome aboard…CG xx ?

Hi team, it’s mid arvo, how are you all going. I’ve just finish mowing, really got carried away ? even got into the cow paddocks and did fence lines and weeds, told you I’d be dangerous once my pain subsided ? and it has, I’m alive again woohoo!
I haven’t eaten as yet, as you can see, I’ve been busy, might have a drink now but still not hungry, oh so easy, most of my cals will be dinner, then my milky coffee.
Okay, Gypsie…WHERE ARE YOU, are you being good? And GG, you too, c’mon team, let’s get the support going…..Fit, we are still waiting on those pics ?….., soldier on team, not long to go now and YOU CAN DO IT, we are invincible so BRING IT ON! ☺️ xxxxxxxx

Hi CG yes I too have been busy with mopping & vacuuming. I guess with doing so much work I had to give in & have a miso soup packet at 2pm. But that should be it until either a HB egg much later or my dinner. Coffee with a splash of milk for brekky. Cooking a Chorizo & butter bean stew for dinner….sounds yumm and only 180 cals or something! Only trouble is have to make something else for OH as he can’t have beans/lentils – if I’m worn out he can cook himself! Won’t kill him for once.
You sure are dangerous now you’re over the pain CG how fabulous for you that the op has been such a success!! You mustn’t know yourself.
Welcome Ali lots on the forum have lost or need to lose 20 kilos so you’re in good company. I find HB eggs my best ally & easy to take with you too. I shell them & put them in a ziplock bag with salt/pepper & you’re good to go. I need my protein to keep me satisfied. Only days where I’ve caved in I didn’t have enough protein. So an egg or a can of tuna or chicken or tofu or whatever floats your boat really.
PH you really are good at organising your FD’s I notice around social events etc. No wonder you’re losing so well!
Up hope your FD is going well despite a lack of enthusiasm. Does happen sometimes, but usually I decide to just plod on….we know the routine so just go ahead & do it anyway. Sometimes I’m tempted to give myself a break on those sort of days but I know that could end up being a disaster as I could also just decide Nah let’s just miss it altogether. that’s how my mindset works! So hang in there with us ADers.

Have a great FD all if we’re all doing it today. Picture your lovely summer figure in whatever you’d like to wear & go for it. Do the hard yards now & you’ll reap the rewards. 5:2 is soo worthwhile…we all know it!!! suejen XXXX

Hi all, I’m from Perth and this is my second attempt, first time I lost 15kg then found it again so this time I am doing 3:4 to get things moving.
I am so mad at myself for putting the weight back on. I am determined to lose it and keep it off.
    Good luck everyone.

Hi Show and welcome, don’t beat your self up, we all get complacent thinking oh, I can have my cake and eat it too, we can’t! Your timing is perfect to re start 5:2 and especially with AUSSIE DETERMINATION, the heat is on the way and salads are a must. So low cal and very easy. You know how it works, and you know how easy it is. We will stay on your back so those old habits don’t return ? so log in with us each day and tell us your story. Welcome to the team…CG xx

Thanks for the encouragement countrygal, just what I needed.

Oh your welcome, we do encourage each other, especially in the tough times and we all have lots of hints to share, so stick with us, stay with 5:2 and we will get you back to your goal ? plus a healthier you…..we have all found sharing our day does keep us honest, not just to the team but to ourselves….CG xx

Hi all, sorry CG, I’m late a gain. But I have been soooo good! 440 cals to this point. Full set of exercises and even went grocery shopping. Needless to say I bought far more than we need, but the lugging in was more exercise and tomorrow I will be cooking all day to stock us up for the camping trip. I usually end up feeding strays and there are already five in my camp. Including the Gawdmuther, so I will be aquainting her with the details of our trip next March. We are planning on visiting the natural hot springs while in the Ravenshoe area. They have hot mineral water baths and mud baths. May get some classic piccys! I’m really looking forward to this trip. We leave on Thursday and I will likely be offline for 5ish days. Tho am going to try posting on my phone. never use it for internet, but grandson will no doubt get me up to speed. If there is reception at the campsite (Archer Creek) It’s on the inland highway that leads to gulf country.

Up thanks for the encouragement. I am determined to keep trying and I shouldn’t complain, I have had some cliff hangers, with OH’s health issues, but am happy to report that he is looking forward to trying out all manner of new gadgets on the trip. I have had lots of interruptions to my 5:2 journey, but one can’t complain when its mostly because I’ve resumed a social life. And these are the months to take advantage of that. When summer hits I will get back on track. Just glad I have the means to maintain.

Welcome newbies. Good luck for tomorrow Ali, you can do it!

Show, I can relate to how lousy it feels to put the weight back on. But it is so hard to stay focused on your own. You have found the missing link to permanent success by joining our forum. as long as you look in regularly (even if you don’t post) you will find support here. Join the 5kilos by xmas mini goal and have some fun, moans and fantastic moments with us.
PH, SJ and Dawg, duly noted you are all powering on. Cheers all! xx Gyps

Heh, heh, just had a vision, I’m sure it was FIT dancing on a table…..

    Hi All!
Well just about getting back to normal (if I ever was!!) after a brilliant weekend 😆 I’ve read all your posts but I a bit too hungover to answer them all! The wedding was just magical….the bride looked gorgeous and the ceremony was lovely. The venue for the reception was like something out of a fairytale…..an old country mansion with a sweeping drive, set in manicured grounds with secret gardens, fountains, mature trees, limestone pathways amongst converted outbuildings built of stone and beautifully painted timber. There were outdoor fires lit so guest could wander the grounds and stay warm while gathering to chat with each other. There was a champagne reception on arrival in the old kitchen of the main house with lovely things to nibble on. Next door in the enormous conservatory, a pianist kept us entertained until the sit-down meal. The room where this took place was a converted stone built barn/coach house, which was beautifully decorated in autumn colours with fairy lights – absolutely stunning. The meal was really delicious and of course, there was wine with every course!!! But the piece de resistance was the band – the most talented group I’ve heard in a long time and they had everyone, of every age, up on the dance floor for hours…the craic was mighty…..which is what we say when the fun just never stopped all night long. The bride and groom were never off the dance floor and all the cousins had a brilliant time together which was lovely to see. Ok, I better shut up now…I’m still on a bit of a high!!! I’m sending some photos to GG to put up for you all to see. One is me raising a toast to all you wonderful pals, one is my OH and me with the groom (my gorgeous godson) and one with my older daughter. I couldn’t catch the bride…she was too much in demand all the time.
Welcome to all the newbies. I hope I get to know you all soon as time goes on and the weight goes off!! 😉
CG – great to see you in such good form and hoping that Teagan keeps going from strength to strength. To all my other dear friends here, have a great week, fasting or not! Xxxxxx 🙂 🙂

For the past two days I have put my exercise gear on when I get up and have walked for an hour on my trusty treadmill.
Working tomorrow so will have to watch myself when I get home, that is when I usually pig out on rubbish.

Gyps – didn’t quite get as far as dancing on the table, thank God……but I did dance on the floor for hours and hours, so I’m hoping that I worked off a few calories because I certainly consumed more than a few!! Have a great trip and I’m looking forward to the photos!!!!! 😉 Xxxxxx

Good morning team, Fit lovely to see you back, the wedding sounds very memorable and the description of the venue sounds so romantic. Looking forward to some pics ?
How’d everyone go with their fast, I went to bed with a gurgling tummy and haven’t done that for such a long time. I didn’t feel hungry at all, just a noisy tummy.
The fickle weather is back here, expecting 29 with rain, that sounds like thunder storms to me with that heat, then cooling off for the rest of the week. Take care on the roads if you get rain, they will be greasy, but they have promised rain for so long, I think they are just hoping.
I wish all fasts were as easy as Mondays! Unsure why, but never seem to have problems with them, Thursday seems a bit harder.
Gyps your camping trip sounds to be coming together, have a relaxing fun time, which is what camping is all about, and pics please, especially the mud bath!
Have a positive day team, I’m heading off to water aerobics shortly, first in over a week, so be interesting to see how I pull up. And another fast gone, and you reap the benefits, be proud of yourself ? xxxxxxxx

Hi Show, tell yourself, you don’t need the junk food, make up some jelly before you go and have that when you get home, or another HB egg, your doing 5:2 for YOU and yes, old habit are hard to beat, so make today the beginning of your new healthy WOE ? xxxxxxx

Thanks CG. Yes, it was very romantic and magical. Hope all goes well at the aqua aerobics and that you feel the benefits of getting back into it. I didn’t fast today because I need to fast tomorrow to get my cholesterol checked. I also ate far too much today because I was still in ‘wedding’ mood! Oh well, back to normal from here on in and my next incentive is a 40 year school reunion in early November…..eeeek!!!!!!

    Woohoo, I lost 1kg ?

Fasted yesterday and started today with a banana and 50g of blueberries.
    Have a great day everyone.

Well done Show, see how easy it is, even if it is just water, it’s gone for good…? xxx

Have a awesome day team……..GO GAL XXXXXXXX

GG did you get my email??? By the way, good news team, Tegan will be coming home tomorrow, still in a lot of discomfort, not surprisingly, but she is a brave little soldier. So a very relieved family, my daughter will be hanging to get into her own bed after sleeping at the hospital ?

Hi the mob, Getting a post in between chores (damn fridge in the van has decided not to work (or I have the acdc connections mixed up!).

FIT. How beautiful your wedding sounds and you really took us there! What a wonderful place your Ireland is. And the people in it. Our lives are richer for your insights into a traditional family’s life and times. Ta for the sharing. And you are such a bizzy bee tending to them all, I don’t see you getting fat any time soon!

Will go check shortly and see if I got the pics, GG, may not have time to fiddle around transferring to the online bucket and back just yet. Have soooo much to do to get van back together after a rewiring epic with local electrician and now looks like he botched it!

CG, so glad your Tegan is home and you know she’s safe. You also have been full on by the sound of it. What a difference a few months make, huh? Hope I can say that about my waistline by March! I didn’t miss your comment about our mystery gifts arriving….. hmmm…. but not gunna guess….exciting…. Your booze is aging nicely… Tho have sworn off honey bourbon for life! Toooo easy to drink.

Show, well done, mate. An hour on the treadmill is pretty impressive! I don’t have the puff for that, but am back to doing burst of high intensity exercise on the push bike. am hoping a few hundred K’s on the motor bike will rattle the fat!

Stay upright all, back asap xxx Gyps

Nah, I couldn’t make you all wait for this chiccy babe! I give you THE RAINBOW CONSULTANT! Lookit that hat! Just ducky, delicate and delectable! love the soft pink and splash of spring in the floral skirt. And I don’t believe the eye twinkles have anything to do with the camera flash.

    And…. wait for it…

     photo mms_img-487969281.jpg

CG- I did get your email this morning.
Still cannot find my fasinator!!!!!!!!!……GO GALxxxxxxx

FIT- Did you make your fasinator? Well done it works so well with your outfit……GO GALxxx

Hi all. Welcome SHow. I’m sure if you stick with us we will help you to succeed. Fit you look fantastic. Surely you have reached your goal weight by now. You don’t look one npbit overweight to me.
I’ve just got back from my visit to the GP. We’ve a nice bloke from Perth who does locums here. Long story cut short. He can’t make a diagnosis until I have an X-ray. Radiographer has already gone home. It’s not yet 3pm. Nice hours for some ! Anyhow nothing happens in a hurry here and the doctor will only have the results of the x-ray next week. So I have an appointment to see him again next week. Frustrating but what can one do?
My weight was down by 500 gms today. I’m more than happy with that seeing on I’ve had little or no exercise due to the flu and stupid knee.
CG wow they discharged patients earlier and earlier these days. Tegan will be happy to get back home.
Take care all and try and think of our journey as a way of life and a way of eating and not a diet.
For those of you who enjoy more meaty reading. I’ve just downloaded an audiobook called The Twins by Tessa de Loo. It’s been made into a movie and nominated for an academy award. So far it’s very interesting.
    XX Doggy

    Hi everyone,
Thanks go girl for your welcome. Fast day for me today. Been busy grocery shopping this morning. Very hot and humid here in Port Stephens today. Just put air con on and enjoying the coolness.I drink soda water to keep me going in the afternoon. Made pumpkin soup early this morning, which will be my dinner at 6 pm. I only weigh myself on Saturday mornings and put the result on my mobile where I have a program that tells me how much more I need to lose. It’s a good motivator.

Welcome to the newby’s. Noots, show and Ali. You will fine this way of life so good. I am only into my 7th week and it is getting easier every time I fast. Just be sensible and don’t overdo it on the non fast days and the weight will come off. I have had a very interrupted start to this program but still managed to keep focused with the help of all the wonderful souls on this thread. ???????????? there are so many great foods that we can eat and vegetables and salads are great at this time of the year. Good luck to you all and remember that willpower is thinking you can achieve somethings and sticking to a plan. Well ..most of the time . We are all human and slip up, however getting right back to plan the next day is the go, AND DONT FEEL GUILTY!!! Look forward… Not back!.???
Great stuff Show..1st Kg.snd time round….all the hard work paying off and Noots good luck with your weigh In on Saturday. Ali you will succeed in this…

Fit. Beautiful photos. Lovely family. And the wedding sounds just amazing. ???????????? ??????????The Irish certainly know how. To celebrate..and you look stunning!

Gyps. Make sure you have a blast camping. I am sure you will and will have many interesting stories to tell when you return. Can’t wait.?????????????

GG such a bummer that the Internet is still being difficult. Hope you found that fascinatior.???? And that your fast day went well .

CG boy you have certainly got your mojo. Back. Talk about energy. So pleased Tegan is home in the loving arms of her family. Still a long way to go but the worst is now over..your words of wisdom to all of us are great as always.?????

Doggy seems like you are going well too. Good on you.

Sujen. Good idea about shelling the HB eggs and adding the salt & pepper to the bag. I will have to do that. I usually carry mine with the shell still on.

UP know all about dressing to minimise size. I too have been doing this for years…still doing it. However am going to achieve this weight loss and keep it off!,
Determined this time . ???? the devil is not going to get me off track again.. Not with all the amazing support from this forum..

Have had a lovely couple of days with our visitors. They are doing dinner tonight comprising Oysters fresh from the bellingen river obtained on our outing today, followed by a prawn dish with fresh prawns picked up from the Coffs Harbour co-op on our way home and some very special white wine. Had a lovely picnic today of salads etc by the side of the river, followed by a decadent afternoon tea of coffee and cake at Urunga ……definite FAST DAY tomorrow….???????

    Well happy hour is calling….??????

Hi all, I wrote a long post before and then the internet died and I lost it. I have just come home , read more updates and am now just going to write a quick reply.

Fit you look amazing, and you pretty daughter. Well done! And the wedding sounds fab.

PH I uses to keep a van down in Urunga when my kids were little. Spent many a happy time at Hungry Head.

Hi Show welcome to another WA 5:2er. I’m from Margaret River. We obviously don’t need to convince you that this WOL works but once you’ve lost it maybe stick around here or on one of the maintenance threads to keep you on track. It really does help a lot! Great kg loss to start off with. Have you tried using MFP (my fitness pal) to log your cals it does help. I don’t do it all the time now but I did at the start.
Fit what a wonderful description of the wedding aaand such fab photos. You’re looking wonderful & as someone said must be near goal weight. Luv the fascinator….I never could carry off wearing something like that, but you can & with style!!
Dawg well done on your 500gr loss with your situation…great job! that will get you motivated & back into it. We see the downsides of country life when we’re ill don’t we! But I still wouldn’t swap it for anything. I’m reading a fascinating book Doggie called My grandmother send her regards and apologises by Fredrik Backman. It’s great & well worth a read too….international bestseller so the cover tells me. Heartbreaking & hilarious in equal measure. The grandmother sounds just like Gypsy to me!! She hasn’t ridden a bike yet but she’s been driving illegally, flirting with policemen, breaking into a zoo in the middle of the night, firing a paintball gun from a balcony in her dressing gown! All for her 7yo granddaughter.
Noots what program do you use on your mobile?
PH sounds like a wonderful time with your visitors. Enjoy that special white wine! Back to 5:2 tomorrow & PC days portion control after that.
Up & GG you’re having your trials with computers & connections. Frustrating isn’t it. GG yours seems to be ongoing & we miss your input.
CG hope your aerobics went well & that the weight decides to move with all the jobs & exercise you’ve been doing.

Well not much for dinner for me as we went out for the day & had lunch at a country bakery. I usually avoid any cakes but they had old-fashioned Boston Buns – does anyone know them? A fruit bun with yummy icing & coconut on top. So I couldn’t leave them in the shop, I just had to have one (they were mini ones thank goodness)!! Plus had 2 coffees today so time for a HB egg or more of my FD stew for dinner to balance things out. If you can’t make it a PC day well at least do your best to cut the calories somewhere! And I’ll substitute a licorice tea for my hot choc tonight. suejen XXXX
Only one more PC day everyone then back to fasting. It’s all good.

    Hi all,
What an awesome welcome to the group, I feel right at home. suejen, I do use my fitness pal and a Fitbit which I love. I know this way of eating works and I don’t know for the life of me why I stopped but I am back on track now and look forward to bein supported and supporting the group.
    Cheers
    Sue

    ARgh!

That’s the second time I’ve lost my post due to the internet dropping out. I think I’ll try lots of little ones…

Hi all & welcome to Noots, Ali & Show. I am new here too and isn’t everyone fantastic? It is so encouraging to know that some of these ladies have been doing this successfully for over a year.

We are moving to Brissy at the end of the year, so I have boxes to pack, removalists to organise, house to sell, house to buy … so I apologise if you don’t hear much from me sometimes.

To share a bit of where I am at … while I look generally ok, my BMI & waist to height ratio tell me I have too much visceral fat, so I am a TOFI. Which of course will no doubt lead me straight to all kinds of nasty things if I don’t do something about it. So here I am, not a moment too soon, & planning to stick with this WOL for the long haul!!!!

Had a bit of a blowout on sweet treats on the w’end, so decided to skip lunch yesterday even though it was a NFD. FD today, which has gone ok, but I think it has been a bit harder due to having lower calories yesterday. Managed to stick with it though :-).
