Yesterday’s FD went wonderfully. Thank goodness! It restored my belief that I can do this!

A day of fasting wasn’t as difficult as I had built it up in my mind. Got to bedtime & looked back over my calories for the day & realized my FD had sailed by easily.

Between getting a truly successful day under my belt (finally), plus reading everyone’s posts here, I’m feeling more confident going forward. And stacking up more successes (fingers crossed!)
    Thank you all!

    Day 24 Lancaster, PA NFD

@jarbia I’m Very glad to read you are back for the Challenges😊 I think it’s a great time to get healthy through fasting, however you choose to fast/NF. Plus you are smarter, wiser and probably stronger this time around 😊Hugs 😊 to you and Welcome Back!

@mari84 ever since the latest upgrade, the “spell check” on my phone has been hijacking my spelling and changing my words; Tigray her…😊 is a new one😊

@losing_it A good part of the time, when I’m fasting the hunger is gone. I’ve noticed lately that I don’t have the hunger but there is a mental “impulse” to eat, I think it’s part of a belief that I need to eat regularly and daily even if I’m not hungry. I’ve been trying to read, or do things to distract myself so I won’t give in to the mental impulse of eating even when I’m not hungry. Trying healthy safe things to do to distract the mind from regular structured habits or impulse eating might be helpful. Something you can enjoy that is healthy and doesn’t break your budget.😊….😏 When the hunger gets to becomes a problem, drinking water, warm tea, warm water with lemon and stevia. Unsweetened coconut milk, with turmeric, ginger and nutmeg (with Stevia if you choose for sweetener) also tends to calm the body and mind for me.

@flourbaby 🤣 Thanks for the clear picture of support, and making me smile😊 I will have to grab on, hold on tight and walk through the post traumatic stress. With your support @fordprefect ‘s support and support from the group😊 I’m slowly starting to believe that I will survive the surgeries (1-2 depending on how many the oral surgeon recommends.) If I can believe it, and see it, I can Do it! Thank-you! I try to forget about it in hopes that it will go away, because there doesn’t seem to be the best time to get it done, so I guess the time is now.

    @maddyg Thanks✨✨for the body visualizer 😊 link is: http://bodyvisualizer.com/ I will use it.😊

@daffodil2010 & @annemarilyn ✨I’m so glad to read your stories for the liquid FD’s, very Uplifting for me.✨How awesome, if we believe we can succeed together😊, and of course, ✨Together we are Stronger😊✨
@at I am looking forward to trying the lovely recipe, it sounds delicious✨ I’ve got to get used to climbing the stairs.😊😅🤣

I will leave you with yet another inspiring quote from @at
There is no elevator to success! We have to take the stairs and every now and then we have to pause at a landing in between each set of stairs!
    And I’ll add✨
When your pausing to catch your breath, remember to reach out and speak up, and hang on to our group!🤗✨😊
    ✨✨✨✨✨✨✨🤝✨✨✨🤝✨✨✨✨✨✨

    DAY 25 Queensland Australia NFD
Yay… it’s Friday!! Great FD yesterday and down 300g today. Hovering just above 65 kg with one week to go on this challenge. Would like to get to just below 65 by end but happy either way. Its just been so great to have the support along the way and to feel so much better. Welcome @way2fit I’m a newbie too…this is my first month of 5:2 and I love it! Congratulations @bigviking !!!!! I was telling my husband about your amazing weight loss. He is doing this too and has around 20KG to lose. He has ups and downs with the scales and I was telling him what I have read about your experience but the overall loss that you have achieved… which is inspirational.
Have an amazing Friday all…one week to go!!! we can do this!

    Day 24 UK FD

Good day today. Apple for lunch then home made lamb kebab and salad with a small flatbread for tea.

@tea-girl20 thanks for the recipes. I love rhubarb but my mind seldom strays from crumble. Took me ages to find the rhubarb/custard tart recipe. The only way I could think to make it low cal was to give half away!
@at the dressed crab recipe sounds lush, crab is one of my favourites although I seldom buy it.
Love the visualiser link, what a difference 6 months and 3 stones make. Just need to think what another 6 months might bring.
I finally cracked today and bought some new clothes for work. Just trousers and a couple of tops but a couple of sizes down from what I’ve been wearing. I wanted to wait a bit longer but I keep catching sight of myself in mirrors and I’ve started to resemble a bag lady! My charity clothes pile is now about 2 foot high – I keep the scales in there so when they aren’t co-operating I show them the clothes mountain so they know who’s boss😄

    Day 25 – ABQ – FD

Today’s fast is a little harder after having a full dinner at a hibachi place last night. Surprisingly I stayed just under my TDEE, but just barely even with the glass of wine I said I wasn’t going to drink. My friends totally ordered for me (they know me too well) before I got there not knowing I had given up. But I figured even though I said I wouldn’t, isn’t the whole point of this WOL that I don’t have to say no all the time – I can indulge? I just won’t have the glass of wine I was planning over the weekend. No biggie!

I’m reaching the final hours of today and at least I’ve saved a good amount (214 cal) for my dinner tonight! looking forward to some yummy edamame for sure!!

@debster251 I agree with you! What @liathanail & @califdreamer are doing by putting their weight on the spreadsheet is super inspiring! I don’t think I would be able to weigh myself every day – but I do think its a great kick in the pants at the end of the week!

Stay strong everyone!! ONE WEEK TO GO!!

    Day 25/CD/Melbourne Australia

Spent a delightful day with number two grandchild yesterday playing soccer and enjoying the winter sunshine. Cannot believe Spring is so close.

There’s such a positive buzz happening here. Yesterday’s weight 57.3 kg a loss of 1.1kg since the beginning of the August challenge. I’m determined to see a 6 before the end of the month.

Starting weight 73.4 kg September 2014
Goal weight 59 kg April 2015
    Happy weight range 54 – 57kg (maintained 2015 – 2016)
Struggled 2017 but never above my goal weight of 59kg.

Loving reading everyone’s progress. Have a positive, happy and healthy weekend.

Day 24 NFD – maybe we need another acronym OOCD out of control day
    Day 25 CD

Yesterday my scales played a funny trick on me and showed I lost ~2kg over a FD. Been hovering around 65.5kg for about a week, jumped up to 66.4kg then down to 63.8kg. I just can’t take that seriously!! So I ate my way through the day, not big amounts but just constantly. Oh well can’t wait to see what the scales will show next time.

    Happy Friday all.

Hello late post for day 24 nfd co down ni
    Just a quick check in
@jarbia good to see you back, tut tut what have we told you? We dont use that sort of lanuage here lol – You never fail if you keep trying!
Thinking of all my fellow challenge friends who have other challenges going on in their lives. Hugs to each of you ❤
No confessions @brightobelle (yet) lol 🐢

    Day 25 Sydney NFD

@molij, @laurealice, @okeydokey and @redrockgirl302 thanks for the advice and support, it’s so good to know I’m not alone. I’m definitely going to try your tips, and I’m going to focus my thoughts on other things, hopefully it will help. I’m weirdly finding hunger way more of a struggle on my NFDs than my FDs…

@teagirl20 and @at those recipes sound delicious, I’m definitely going to give them a try!

I’m off to a cherry blossom festival today 😊 Hope everyone has a brilliant day

    Day 25 – Tokyo, Japan – FD 82.5kg

@debster251 – My weight has actually gone up 7.9kg form the low on Monday until this morning. However I’m sure it is mostly just water, glycogen in muscles and lots of fiber in my gut! I ate a LOT of fresh vegetables this last week. Much more than 20 servings I’m sure. Lots of food, not so much calories though. I was trying to restock my nutrition I guess, but they just tasted really good.

I’m personally more focused on my strength as I want to stay stronger than my teen and my body fat. Weight is more of just an indicator to me as to what is going on. I don’t have a light build so I tend to see large changes in my weight while fasting, exercising, resting and eating.

I’m pretty sure I lost around 1kg of fat in my one week fast and I’m content with that. Now I’m back to probably pecking away 100g a fat a week, or so. Getting the body fat down to 15% or so is going to take a lot of work.

    Day 24 Canada FD

Unexpected friends dropped by for lunch so I served dinner. Wasn’t really hungry then so it will be interesting to see how tonight goes.

    Feeling lighter and healthy!

Day 25 NFD country West Australia
life has been pretty hectic this past month.
Had an unexpected 4 day break – 4 OOCDs ( thanks for that acronym @ ducks_d!)
Tried a FD yesterday and all was going OK until about 3 pm when my headache got so bad and I felt like I was going to faint ( at work) so had to go and buy a sandwich – closest and healthiest option .
Trying to get back in the groove but difficult due to lots of road trips, hospital visits etc.
They are just excuses but I can’t find the motivation to give this WOL the focus I did last year.
    Hanging in and hanging around.
Good to be back in range of internet to post.

Funny how time flies. We are 6 days away from the end of August and September is peeking around the corner. I have been the recipient of such great encouragement from this forum that I felt the urge to give back.
I have offered to host the September Challenge and I’m looking forward to a great month. Please let me know if you would like to be a part of the challenge, as I would like to begin getting our September spreadsheet ready.
Thank you @debster for doing such a great job in August. My very best to you all.

    Still day 24 –

@debster251 – FYI, I went to input data into the spreadsheet and no August challenge comes up; only September – yet with the August data in it. Wonder what happened?

@maayyaa – you asked about your FDs. Perhaps you need salt. As @daffodil2010 mentioned drinking beef OXO at 8 calories but lots of sodium. I often drink a mug of chicken bouillon, same idea as OXO. You might try something like that.

@daffodil2010 – I’m glad you got inspired too. Yes, a mug of something salty and warm helps alot.

@metauata – I too have a couple of my 14s a little snug so putting in a little more fasting.
Yes, I too appreciate some of the inspirational quotes. I wrote down AT’s “If I quit now, I will soon be back to where I started. And when I started, I was desperately wishing to be where I am now.”

Here is another idea. What if we weighed ourselves, right before we go to bed, and use that as our benchmark..would that work?

    Day 24 Vancouver Island
    FD Not too bad…
    Loving the forum!
    Enjoy the weekend everyone!

Day 25 Newcastle UK 🇬🇧 NFD.
Bank holiday weekend coming up,I’ll be working most of it that should keep me on the straight and narrow lol how sad is that. Good fast day yesterday.
    Have a great weekend everyone.

    Day 25 Meath, Ireland – B2B FD

Successfully completed a liquid only fast day yesterday. My first one! I can do it! I did have a cup of hot Lo fat milk with nutmeg at bedtime to take off the edge and aid sleep so I clocked in at around 80 calories in total 😀.

    Great result – 2.3 lbs down – a whole kilo overnight 🤗

It’s my 2nd FD on this B2B…..I am thinking of trying for liquid only again…..but will have that faithful boiled egg with me just in case I can’t take it by lunchtime. Plus the OXO cube!

@basyjames count me in for September please. I will be on holiday fir the first couple of weeks but want to do this 👍

    Day 25 uk NFD
Exercising today which sometimes has an impact on a FD so trying to have a day in between in the hope it will stop me feeling so lethargic. Oxo and chicken boullion all sound like good ideas so will try them, thanks everyone.

Thank you for offering to host September…count me in please!

    Day 25, London, UK, NFD

B2B2B – completed!!! Had an ok final FD yesterday, but I had a major conversation with a few cashew nuts late last night, they managed to browbeat me and I succumbed, so a 670cal FD, not too bad.

@basyjames, Phew!!! I wasn’t sure we were having a September challenge, Thanks for hosting………. I’m in!!!!

I’ll try for a 20:4 today as I’m out for a fabulous (and healthy) Vietnamese lunch, staying strong!!!

    Good luck everyone.

@basyjames thanks for being willing to host the September challenge, please count me in.

    Day 25 – Woking, UK – NFD
    242.5lbs
And there it is, I hit my target for the month of losing 4lbs. Now I have to stay there or below for the next 6 days.
I decided to have a trying on session last night as squirrelled away in the wardrobe are 6 pairs of smart work trousers that I no longer wear as a) they don’t fit me any more and b) our work dress code changed so now I just wear jeans. They are all size 16s bought at different times from Debenhams or M&S. Back in May I couldn’t get into any of them. Some wouldn’t even go over my hips and none were even close to doing up. Last night two of them fitted fine and I would be comfortable wearing them. Of the others only one won’t do up now, and the others are still too tight to wear, but all do up.
I’m really pleased with this as I got a new job with the same company yesterday that will mean travelling more, but also potentially a need for a bit of a less casual office look so I now have options I didn’t have before and don’t need to go and buy new big trousers.
Keep up the good work everyone and enjoy the same victories along the way!

    Day 25 North Wales NFD

Successful fast day yesterday. Drinking lots of sparkling water really helps. Didn’t eat until 6pm in the evening so managed to go about 23 hours without food.

Thank you @basyjamess for hosting the September challenge. Please count me in.

@maddyg loved the body visualiser. Thank you.

@liathanail Well done for hitting your target 🎯 I bet you feel great 👍

    Have a good day everyone.

    Day 25, UK, FD

3rd fast of the week for me – feeling amazing, have real clarity of mind, sleeping better, have more energy…. so not only great results on the weight loss but all these other benefits too.

Good luck all those having a Friday Fast

    Day 25, Wales, NFD

Good FD yesterday. Need a belt for the trousers I’m wearing today!

@basyjames – yes please, count me in for the September challenge.

Day 25 A rainy Belfast, NFD

I’m disappointed today, because the scales are only down a quarter of a pound after yesterday’s successful fast. HOWEVER, my waist is down 1″, and in truth, that’s much more important to me.
Thank you for the rhubarb and crab recipes.
AnneMarilyn I see that too and I can’t seem to be able to change it back to August.
@basyjames – thank you for taking over at the end of the month. Have you started editing the sheet? Can you take a copy first, please, then edit the copy, otherwise we’ll lose this month’s data.
Congratulations on your new job @liathanail and your slimmer body! For me, smaller clothes are a far better yardstick of success.

Just about to start cooking. We’re hosting a family gathering tonight with Canadian cousin home, so I’m looking forward to catching up with family when it’s a happy occasion!

Onwards and downwards everyone. Happy Friday. 😜

Day 25, Norway, FD (my third this week)

Today i had to start with a 150kcal breakfast because i was donating blood, and the nurses have told me i need to eat something. So my breakfast was grapes, paprika, really thin sliced lean ham. My dogs envied me. So now its lunch time already here, so im drinking my vegetable extract (buillon). Its fat free and 6kcals pr 2,5ml. Will keep me happy until i get home at least,a long with my 24oz waterbottle.

@molij i guess i can only “blaim” my self for people not commenting, i wear baggy clothes 🙂 so im not actually complaining. I can wait until i can fit more tightfitting clothes and just turn up at work wearing something completely different than what i usually wear :), no rush…but hopefully sometime in the beginning of 2018.

@Liathnail thanks for the “weight gain after excersice”-explanation, at least now i know.

@bert1802 im trying to only step on the scale once a week, but i actually think i need to get me a new one, maybe one that measures more than weight.
Up until now i havent had any other ways of “feeling” better, as i havent noticed anything on my clothes, my mistake due to my baggy pants and hoodies, i know.
I’ve done the measuretape think, i actually did yesterday… not much have changed…maybe 1-2cm here and there…but again, i know, its only been less than 4 weeks.
I need to work on my patience, and my logic, i need to get that this is a WOL, not a short race…Im gonna try harder with my mind 🙂

@snowflake56 – thank you 🙂 i will try the once a month weigh-in in september.

I have hit the 90’s mark… as in I’m 89,7 – hope i never see the 90′ again. Im gonna aim for that, and now i have this as my goal. Last weigh-in next thursday, and then not for a whole month…i (think) i promise 🙂

I will end my post with something that made me smile th is morning while getting dressed. Yesterday i mentioned my tighter black jeans…well, last time i wore them i actually used a rubber band (the kind you make a ponytail with your hair) in my button-thing…cause i couldnt close them. Well, today it closed up perfectly.

    Happy Weekend everybody.

@basyjames thanks for hosting September Challenge, please add me 🙂

@basyjames – I am in for September challenge as well
    Thanks for taking over 🙂

    Day 25, UK, FD

Yesterday was not controlled. Wine leads to beer leads to cheese and biscuits leads to weight gain. Hopefully I’ll lose it again today.

    France – NFD

Count me in @basyjames and thank you for hosting the next adventure. A big thank you to @debster251 , @coda and @strawberriesandcream who’ve all been excellent mother hens with loads of empathy, advice and wit since I’ve been on this forum.

@okeydokey I’m holding your virtual hand for the dental issues. I had a 4-tooth extraction last month (decalcification of jaw) and am now awaiting another series of appointments for implants. Hate it and am dreading the rest.

Hoping none of our friends here are being threatened by the US hurricane. I have a friend/colleague in Texas so am anxiously waiting for her to pop up on Skype.

    Hugs to all x

    Day 25 – UK – NFD

    Checking in, Happy Friday everyone.

@basyjames – please sign me up for September, thank you for hosting

    Day 25…..Florida……FD

Yesterday, my FD went down in flames, as I found many chocolate chip cookies in my belly. Well, that wasn’t not what suppose to happen…. away dragon away! Now, today is a different story!

@maayyaa……. I’m so glad to hear that button story. See it is working! It’s the small things. There is a saying in the diet world, that .i think fits perfectly here. It takes two weeks for you to feel it, 4 weeks for you to see it and 8 weeks for others to see it.
So, by that it’s only 4 weeks in and with the button your seeing it……In just 4 short weeks, your gonna be tired of people seeing it!
Plus, I’m so glad that your not sore with me…. I just didn’t want to lose you to the scale!

So, there is a nasty hurricane in the Gulf of Mexico right now…. we are getting some residual from it. If you are in it’s path, or threatened by the storm surge, please be safe. My prayers are with you!

@basyjames….. thank you for being out Sept host…. I’m looking forward to it! I think I’m going to start looking for my ending….so I can find something super juicy!

@dykask….. 2 days ago on the local news they spoke about a healthy lifestyle focus around belly flab. I got to laughing when all the so called experts talked about this so called starvation mode. Interestingly enough, that actually correlated it with muscle loss….. A stretch I think but then I thought of you and your experience. Now, I know there is really no such thing as starvation mode but I wanted to ask you, if you saw a decrease in muscle definition?
What I can figure out is, if we stop our bodies production of what makes us fat and in essence forcing our bodies to use up our fat pockets, which clearly the body will do. How can the so called scientist believe our bodies will attack our muscles first?
I mean, I’ve seen with my own body loss of fat with more defining muscle mass. So what they are saying necessarily can’t be true, right? Our fat storage was designed to be used in time of famine, not our muscles. Then, it makes me question The whole turning fat into muscle thing…. can that actually happen?
Being our resident scientist, I thought maybe you’d have some insight on this!

Okay, well I’m off like super man to save the day!

I was addicted to the hokey pokey then I turned myself around!

@basyjames count me in for the September challenge. I’ll be away from home on the 1st, so will give a starting weight and targets on the 2nd.

Day 25 UK NFD Very pleased with this week ,just need to have a good controlled weekend, which will be extra challenging as we have the bank Holiday on Monday, but I’m determined not to undo all my hard work .
@basyjames count me in for September

    Day 25 – London – NFD
Up super early this morning to get sorted for camping weekend and get all those plums either baked or into the freezer before I go away. There are now 2 plum, apple and strawberry crumbles stashed away for another time (lots of cinnamon, ginger and oats, just a little sugar to cut the tartness). And I made a huge plum-stuffed cake which has already been devoured by office colleagues – @saffy420, sharing is definitely the best way to cut the calories! I just had one little bit when I sliced it up (to test it). @at, that crab recipe sounds fab, and your rhubarb chutney too. Bookmarking for later!

I’m not talking to my scales any more – they show me almost back up to where I started 2 months ago, despite regular FDs and pretty controlled eating the rest of the week. However, I am very happy with my belt, which is now 2 holes tighter on my hips, and that’s fine by me! Wishing everyone a very happy Friday and bank holiday weekend.

Day 25 Chicago, Illinois – FD

Hi day 25 Co Down NI going to be a NFD as my OH and I are having a meal out tonight but it will be mindful as I am fed up losing and then finding the same lbs over and over again. At the moment they are in a downward trend, my assignment is to keep it going downward.

@liathanail – well done on not only achieving the number on the scale but also for fitting into trousers that didn’t fit previously.

@bert1802 – no it is impossible – fat is fat, muscle is muscle and you can’t turn one into the other. as muscles get stronger they use more energy (from fat) so the amount of fat decreases but it can’t and doesn’t like magic turn into muscle.

@maddyg and others – here is another body image and on this one you can change the colour of hair and clothes. It gives a now and then picture. I have mine stuck to my fidge. http://modelmydiet.com/
Generally you are heavier at night than the morning but it doesn’t really matter when you weigh as long as you are consistent with the times.

@annemarilyn and @debster251 – strange when I click the link I still get August??

@tlc2 – hope you had a great holiday and don’t worry you will get back into it and you will ditch any weight gained.

@basyjames – thanks again for volunteering to host September. Maybe in a few days you can put start the new thread for September – new people joining will see that but count me in, in the meantime.

@maayyaa – you are letting numbers on a scale define you. They can vary for so many reasons and are just…… a number. Just read you have had something to celebrate – those jeans that now close without the help of an elastic band – GO YOU!!

This is the last weekend of the month so lets all make it mindful one.

    Anyone thinking of hosting October?

    Day 25 – USA (Illinois) – NFD

Yesterday’s FD was just fine. Continuing at 157# is fine with me. Had a very tasty spinach stuffed salmon with some cottage cheese for my supper with my daily apple early afternoon. That was about 525 calories.

I copied out the “oatmeal cookie balls” from this site for a quick tasty breakfast. Now I need to buy some dates:
    http://blog.myfitnesspal.com/8-mini-breakfasts-250-calories/?utm_source=mfp&utm_medium=email&utm_campaign=recipes20170824onespotcontrol&os_ehash=55@sfmc:3637875
Some of the other recipes also looked interesting.

@basyjames – I am in for September. Why stop with you all when maintenance is working so well? Been on every one since May 2016, so will certainly continue!

Off to Silver Sneakers class. It’s not the most HIT but good for us senior citizens.

    Onward and downward!

@maayyaa – be careful giving blood on 5:2. I learned the hard way and ended up in the Emergency Room having passed out right after supper. That was just over a year ago. Not only should you eat on giving days, make sure you hydrate well before and after giving. Also, no alcohol for 24 hours afterwards. My normally very healthy state left me rather blase about some of the norms to follow when you give. I’ve given about 8 gallons during my lifetime, so it was not normal for me to have that reaction. They were sure I was having a heart attack.

@coda – I went on the laptop and changed it back. I couldn’t seem to do it on the iPad but it seems to be OK now.

Lots of baggy trouser moments! A sure sign that this WOL works👍
Count me in for next month please @basyjames.
@maayyaa – great result for that jeans story.

    Keep on dragon slaying!

    2nd post

@metatauta – update on chickens – things have been delayed somewhat albeit perhaps for the best. I had ordered a wooden chicken coop but the delivery cost was not included when I ordered it and when they did advise it was more than expected plus the coop was out of stock so I cancelled the order. But silver lining etc – they finally refunded my money and on your advise we have been looking at a few plastic coops one of which is https://www.solwayrecycling.co.uk/recycled-shop/pig-poultry/hen-houses
In your expert opinion what do you think? There are a couple of others but not sure if they deliver to Northern Ireland.

Day 25 Akron OH 2nd of 3b2b2b. @debster and @annemarie I apologize for messing up the spreadsheet. I thought I was playing with my personal copy not the team sheet. Thank you for restoring it.

@coda, have you sourced your chickens yet? I know of some that are looking for a new home in the next couple of weeks!
No harm done BasyJames. September came a little quicker than expected! Did I say count me I too for September?

@saffy420 I too have a large pile of clothes awaiting a trip to the charity shop. Quite satisfying to see! And my latest new ( and cheap) trousers now come off with the button done up, so I guess they’ll be adding to the pile shortly. Unfortuanatly have a wedding to go to, so having to buy a decent dress and jacket which I suspect will also be at the charity shop after just one wearing. Perhaps should think about eBay…. keep up the good work. 😀

Day 25 NFD St. Louis USA

@Liathsnal Loved your jeans story. I’ll bet you feel great in those jeans.

@Basyhames. I’d like to join in for September as well. Thank you for hosting and please include three. I’ll be doing maintenance but still fasting on Mondays with an 800 cal fast eight on Tuesday. Will be testing the waters

I spoke with my brother last evening. He has three small tumors that will have1 to 3 treatments. They told him his prognosis was good. The tumors had a skate from the loan when he had the chemo. We are all hopeful. He feels well and is asymptomatic. They were surprised at that.

Happy weekend and all my best to all of you. Play the fast be with you.

@coda saw your post about chickens. I have a wooden coop and a recycled plastic one. Def prefer the wooden one. The base of the plastic one is not very sturdy and all the sawdust falls to the centre, and the hens sleep in the nest box as it is higher. Only advantage is that you can get into clean it easily. Wouldn’t recommend. Have another with a slide out cleaning drawer which doesn’t make cleaning any easier it just ensures all the used sawdust is strewn around the outside of the coop. We also have an auto door opener which is really useful particularly if you are not an early riser. Can’t be used on plastic coops. Mind you not cheap!

    Day 25 – USA – FD

@liathanail, congrats on your loss! Where is @fatrabbit? @sirisan, so glad to hear your brother had a hopeful treatable outcome! @debster251, thanks so much for hosting August and @basyjames, please count me in for September and thanks for volunteering to host! @coda, don’t think you want to go with plastic coops. I’m going to email you what we have and maybe some pics if you want…I have your personal email from your trip to Chicago with Chitowngal and SongBirdMe.

    Day 25, USA, NFD

I completely sabotaged my FD yesterday, the first time I’ve done that since starting 5:2 in early June. I had a really cr@ppy day at work, and quite deliberately and mindfully, sought solace in the bottle. Sorry pocketwinos! Not helped by my OH who get trying “to test my resolve” [his words!] in tempting me. I succombed. 🙁

Interesting discussion about giving blood on FDs. I recently gave blood on a FD, knowing that it was a foolish thing to do. Fortunately the nurses did not ask me whether I’d eaten so I didn’t have lie (I do liquid only FDs). I got through it without a problem but it’s not really something I want to risk again.

Well done Maayyaa!!! Who cares what the scales say or don’t say when you had such a positive experience with your black jeans!

    Have a good weekend everyone.
