  • Good morning
    Yesterday’s dinner was big, I immediately started thinking to do usual fix. After debating with myself for some time and remembering that I wrote here – I stopped taking laxative. I did not do it! This morning went to cycling class. I definitely had energy to cycle for 50 min. And feel very good now not weak. Would be nice to eat light today and will go to swimming class in the evening
    Tomorrow is FD

    Still managed to lose a few pounds in the last 2 weeks despite being immobile.
    Total weight loss now 16.9kg since Jan.
    Can’t wait for leg to be healed so i can go for long walks again and do some exercise!

    My FD #18. I went to cycling class this morning and now just had the breakfast. Yesterday after work I was very tired but decided to go to the finning class in the pool – great decision!
    It helped – nice water, swimming, resistance. I felt much better and slept well. One of cycling instructors in the end of each class tells us to finish the class thinking that we are very lucky being able to exercise, many people cannot. At first I did not listen to her, than I was ironic ‘… Yeh, yeh, yeh…’ Than her words clicked, I am greatfull that I can come to the health club and able to exersice! So, NancyDrew I understand your discomfort. I am thinking about you and wishing you patience ( it is important for healing) and get well soon. Good progress on loosing!

    Hope everyone is well. back to ‘eat day’ after yesterday. I am getting used to record my food. I like myFitnesPal software. This morning it told me that I have been completing the journal for 100 days. I do not think it helps me controlling the weight, I still lie some times to myFitnessPal and not record everything. Do you use any apps?
    Today should be a good day. I am asking my husband to grill whole fish for dinner – love fish!

    Thanks Alisa, stitches out today and walking easier each day so getting there.
    I use MyFitness Pal too just to see how much i eat, it has a fit on fast days when i’ve only logged 500-600 cals and i complete the entry! Flashes up big warning signs saying i’m undereating, obviously it doesn’t understand the 5:2!

    LOL! It does it for me too, I feel so sorry for myself;-)

    Hi Ladies, MyFitness Pal tells me off too !! I hate being told off not done FD this week been suffering with a cold since last weekend , even had 2 days off work! so not holding out too much hope of weight loss …see tomorrow enjoy the rest of your weekend

    I find i’ve been less strict on fast days lately, i usually have 600 cals anyway but lately i’ve been edging up to 70. I know it doesn’t matter as i’m still losing weight and i eat quite a low intake of calories the rest of the week too, but i hope i’m not ‘falling off the wagon’ !

    Hi all, I’ve not been in here for a long 2hile. I had an illness for 3 long months and it was likely whooping cough. I’ve never felt so rubbish for such a sustained period!

    So 5:2 want out the window for that time and I binged pretty constantly too. The old emotional eating!

    On the good news front though, I mentioned I bought a fitbit activity tracker and it’s been AMAZING at motivating me to move more. I get in my 10,000 steps a day which is approx 4 miles, and I’ll often for for a 5k power walk too.

    So just to get the eating right and I’ll be sorted! I’ve now cut chocolate and crisps from my diet because they always trigger a binge. I can never stop at just one packet or bar. That’s going well and I feel loads better. I’ll start 5:2 again very soon but I’m very inspired by all your hard work and your losses zx

    ps – what are your total weight losses so far? Mine would be a big fat zero but it sounds like all your numbers will be much better!

    I’m down 17.3 kilos now since Jan, so i’m dead chuffed. I’ve had a few days where i seem to have struggled lately but i think after my accident and not being able to walk properly for 2 weeks i started feeling sluggish and was obviously having less exercise. As bizarre as it sounds i feel like i want to eat LESS when i have some exercise whereas sitting around makes me want to eat more.
    My main source of exercise is walking i love it and now leave is healing i’m looking forward to time out with the pooch again.

    Sorry you have be ill SlimMeDown, glad to hear you are feeling better and you are doing well with your fitbit. The most positive thing is that you have not given up and you’ve done well to cut out chocolate. I’d die without chocolate 😉

    I was on vacation for the last two weeks in Spain – great time!
    Did not do FDs, enjoyed fresh fish, delicious prawns, tasty vegetables…
    Back home now and back to 5:2

    My FD #1 in June is almost over, good to go back to routine.
    This morning I took a big breath and stepped on the scale. Glad I did that, I did not gain anything while on vacation, but lost about one kg. Sooo happy and very motivated to go on!!!
    I am 58.4 kg now, want to get to 55 and ideally to 53 – no rush, but I believe I can get back to my shape.
    Some notes from the vacation – I felt very good and energetic in warm dry Mediterranean weather, I live on east coast – humidity is high here in the summer – hate it! My ankles swallow if drink wine. Nothing like that happened. I think eating fish cuts the cravings for sweets – did not want any pastries, could be just my imagination;-) I love fish!
    My portions were bigger than at home, but walked a lot and I was hungry before each meal.
    Oh, just received an email from work that I won something in ‘fitness challenge at work’ – cool!

    Thats fab Alisa. I often find you don’t put weight on when on holiday as you’re often quite active (if its a sightseeing type of holiday anyway!) The food you ate sounds delish.
    I remember many moons ago, going to new york and losing weight even though i was eating burgers every day, because i walked so much.

    I am a bit down today, feel anctious that the results are slow and vacation is over … Usually it is a good time for comfort food. Did you find anything besides food what takes your blues away?

    FD #2 in June is over.
    I skipped the lunch today, did not mean to, was very busy at work and then it was too late.
    My scale showed me a smaller number this morning- back to happy!

    My personal 12 week challenge is up next week and I am just 2 lb short of the first phase of my weight lose challenge going on holiday next weekend so going to try really hard….!! Struggle with fast days at the moment so need to get focused !

    Happy Monday! My FD #3 for June is over.
    I did well. Still think I need to be more disciplined on regular days and still make effort to be good on FD.
    Just read someone’s post how easy to loose control and start eating one thing after another …

    I’ve just had a week and half off work so only did one fast day last week, i find it harder at home than when i’m at work and with things planned its harder too.
    Still had the dog a few days and did lots of gardening so got some exercise!
    I’m down 18.3kg now since i started in Jan. Got into a pair of size 18 jeans (I was 22 before sometimes 24 depending on the cut/style) so i’m very happy!
    My top is always a few sizes smaller as i have bigger hips/thighs (though a small waist so jeans are always lose on the waist but tighter on hips hence the bigger sizes for bottom half!) and i’m now finding size 16 tops loose on me so ordered some size 14s! I’ve not been a size 14 for well over 10 years.
    I’d be happy to get to a size 16 for my bottom half and a 14 (dare i wish for a 12) on my top half!
    Onwards and upwards!

    Nancy: Congrats on the size 18 jeans and good luck getting to the 16. Sounds like you are on the right path.

    Happy to read NancyDrew’s report! Good going!
    I am entering FD #6 in June tomorrow. So far I have been good with FDs – in the morning it feels different, like I am doing something new and in the afternoon it is the sweet feeling of the last diet day – I completed something.
    The regular days are different story. It has been very hot and humid, I feel no energy and I hate it – food gives energy! So I am still working on discipline… But I definitely feel much better about my new lifestyle and will keep it on. I have not bought new clothers yet, still dreaming to get smaller, never ending dream
    I will be traveling again in two weeks

    Another FD is over. I still eat the same meals on those days. It takes care of decision making what to eat and calculating portions and calories…
    The food tastes great on FDs any way.
    I have been practicing yoga a lot lately – feel very good after practice, but have not stepped on the scale for 3 weeks – I am still afraid to get disappointed

    Just came back from the cycling class. It has been so hot and humid that early mornings are the only time when I have some energy to exersice.
    I am doing FD today, it is #8 in June, will see how it goes, tomorrow morning I usually cycle again – will be hard to do on 500 cal
    I am curious more and more about Fitbit

    I hate this hot weather but i makes fast days easier as i want to eat even less and drink even more water!

    Got into a size 14 top!!!!
    Down 18.5 kgs now!
